Hippy

I talked to hippy this morning for like 1 hour and a half (like an hour about the helper position idk). This was before he wrote his app and a lot of information that we talked about is in there.

-I mentioned my doubts at first that he is kinda known by a lot of people for being a memer and he said he toned it down a lot after the ip grabbing (think he said he got kinda scared after that).

-This is mentioned in his helper app but he kinda thought he wasnt ready to become a helper but when I reached out it kinda made his doubts disappear, I also mentioned that some of us were pretty convinced (max/david with +1) and he was like pretty enthousiastic that you we thought about him even though he hadnt applied.

-He mentioned him not having donated and I'm quite sure he mentioned that he has been meaning to get a donor rank.

-I asked why we should pick him and he mentioned that hes pretty motivated to become a helper since he sees helpers that dont really do the job that well (he was there during the blunt thing). He mentioned that most of the time when hes on (like 4am-13pm our time) he rarely gets to see a helper except blunt from time to time. He also mentioned that he is a young guy with some hobbies and once summer starts hes going to play even more so hes very active.

-I asked if he had anything to say about our current staff and he kinda pointed out the same things as mike (I wrote this after mikes interview thought it might be handy). He seemed to get along with all staff (mentioned qaazx koszik salti david & me)

-I asked if he was alright with feedback and he seemed totally fine with it and would even like it.

I had doubts before the interview but he seemed to convince me, this was the second or third time i talked to him on ts and hes a lot more serious than I thought he was and when I first reached out he wasn't that motivated but he thought about it for a day and seemed to be really motivated. He seems like a funny guy who doesnt really care about factions, ranking up and just wants to have fun/chill with people.

Ok so I talked to mike for like 20minutes on teamspeak, it was mostly a onesided conversation (didnt really discuss, seemed to agree with what i had to say)

-I mentioned me having doubts about him about him starting beef from time to time & he agreed that he shouldnt do it and hes been trying to tone it down. (knows its a problem) I offered to give him feedback whenever he says/does stuff that he shouldnt say/do and he said aight. I said that there were 2 sides to him (helping & 'ass') and he knows about this.

-I asked why we should pick him and he said that hes online all the time & that he knows everyone.

-I asked if he had anything to say about our current staff lineup and he mentioned that most/all helpers just do the warning and no longer seem to do the helping -> said he would be focused on the helping aswell.
Also complained about some helpers never doing shit (blunt & carson, carson being inactive and if hes on he doesnt do shit, he said he never sees blunt do anything and that he afks a lot)

-I mentioned him afking a lot and he said he'd stop doing that cuz its annoying to see an afk helper (was glad when he said that)

-I mentioned the people we were considering (obo & hippy) and he wouldnt mind not getting it if they got it (he gets along with hippy really well and he even noticed hippy changed a bit)

I think that's about it it was pretty short & he didnt convince me since Hippy was really convincing & motivated when we were speaking while mike didnt really sell himself (a lot of short answers with awkward silences in between)

talked to obo, wasnt super long but it didnt need to be any longer

-I asked him why we should pick him and he said that he has a good grasp on the server, he said he helps a lot & he said that he found it funny that hes in the staff party (i'd like to say that I didnt mean for it to become a staff party i was waiting for the mod chat but then it kinda happened and noone seemed to complain). He also said that he wants to be more than just a player so he seems pretty motivated.

-Comparing himself to mike & hippy, first thing he said was that he'd be as good as hippy & better than mike and I asked him why and he didnt really know mike that well but felt that he kinda was an ass (personalitywise) then after talking a bit more he mentioned that both mike & hippy would be fine in his eyes as a helper.

-If he wouldnt get it he would stil be active but he feels like getting helper would just give him extra motivation to become more active/stay as active.

-He mentioned that he feels like he already does more than some helpers without the actual helper rank (just like hippy & mike he mentions that they don't really help mainly warning).

-He doesnt have any beef with anyone.

-He seems to be pretty confident in his ability to be a good helper, said he'd know what to do in most situations.

Obo has been pretty vocal towards me about how some helpers have been doing a poor job and I feel like we could use that kind of motivation (I liked his non-biased critique about the helpers and it kinda motivated me to be more judgemental abou them). I was already convinced so this was mainly so max/others that werent convinced could learn more about him i guess.

These 3 seem to be on the same level helping wise, their level of judgement might be different (mike a bit less i'd say). I feel like mike is the most childish one out of the 3 mainly because how he acts on teamspeak (e.g On teamspeak, his name is 'headass' not sure why. He seems to act immaturely on there, and not as a helper should. He shouldn't have to right now, but it would be nice to see some level of maturity and responsibility.) Obo is the most mature one of them all and I think hippy is the most active one (hard to tell with the timezone issue)
