  1. “There was no Universe for us, no time for us, no place for us in the world... so.. I made one.. Welcome to Universe-RX! That’s what we’re calling it anyway...” - Retkan
  2.
  3. Welcome player! You’re here because you like the ever-changing world of Dragonball, its franchise and the various characters we’ve come to know and love or hate. Instead of trying to make a room that copies off of the exacts of the world during a certain saga, I figured why not try something different. My idea is instead of just a bad guy threatening existence, what if the world itself was in a constant state of rifts and flux, created unstable.
  4.
  5. This will allow OC’s as well as Canon Characters from across any and all timelines to get involved in play and design their own storylines. Will the villains rule? It’s possible. Will the gods mend the rifts? Will a kai or two step up to help? Will a group of children grow up to be the world’s saviors? Will this place be destroyed and cease its existence? Only time will tell!
  6.
  7. For this purpose we have a unique, merged setting to try and accommodate folks. There’s IC reason for this too, sticking to the lore of Dragonball. Interested? Read below to find out more. Keep in mind that our room will overall have the same setting of the overall world but allow for all kinds of existing and upcoming ones from the franchise. Our setup also allows for IRL happenings where characters/people disappear at random and some SLs get caught with the people inside of them. If that happens, a bit of meddling can fix it and shift the course but time is always open to a total recon for if that missing person comes back and wants to continue or expand and present an alteration or dual reality.

  10. Our theme song! Because every series has an uplifting corny one for the heroes, right?! Incandescent by Aviators https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SS2jLLnVMy8

  12.
  13. Fusion City
  14.
  15. It’s a city located on Earth that acts as a Time Patrol headquarters as well by featuring its own station. The city is the most stable thing there is, featuring the Lookout high above it for deities and those welcome. The Time Patrol Station is set up almost like a police station of sorts, dedicated to trying to help mend the constant tears and rips as well as help those who fall through. A Capsule Corp Industry Laboratory rests a bit away from the Market Square and there are plenty of living areas available, even a Park with the usual swingsets and slides for kids. While the city has no rules against flight or fighting, it does host an Arena suited for combat for those who don’t want to use the air or risk harm to the buildings. Capsule Corp tech has enhanced this Arena to allow not just for safe-seating, but energy weapons, gravitational differentials and automated targets to be used for training purposes. Native Earthlings are not used to flight or powers exactly, but know aliens do frequent the world and rifts are dangerous things. They also appreciate the Arena for the shows often displayed if only for the “show” like one enjoys the movies. If such takes place near the average NPC Earthling, they tend to be startled and even panic in fright. Fusion City also has the usual schools, bars, restaurants and normal cityscape of everyday life in the world of Dragonball. (It can also sport new buildings and such, just ask!)
  16.
  17. Beyond Fusion City is an area of wilderness mixed with time shifting anomalies and dangers that threaten the inhabitants as well as the fabrics of ki that were used to create the world. The wastelands, West City, North City, Eas—everywhere just fluctuates through time of various happenings, making Fusion City the safezone. Even other planets shift and phase. The one exception to this is Planet Vegeta. That planet seems entirely gone from this existence, known by most to have been destroyed by a Frieza. That’s canon to the room.

  22.
  23. The IC Workings and Reasoning
  24.
  25. When a Universe’s Heaven or Hell is destroyed, so is every soul that resides there. Rogue wandering souls have been known to escape from King Yemma and cause ogre workers to give chase and keep them in line. Then there’s the whole matter of Time with its many strands and strains, scrolls and possibilities with so many lives and destinations lost.
  26.
  27. This alternate dimension is what was formed when a demon decided she would collect the remnants of times destroyed and try to combine them into something new and different because she didn’t like her place in existence or what happened to others. Of course, this whole idea is very unstable. The creator is unstable. The process is unstable. The rifts threaten everything. Still, most things have been plucked from timelines that no longer had use for them just like most souls (NPCs and some PCs) have otherwise been rescued from demise or given a second third fourth another chance at life. Because of the instability, some just slip right on into the world from wherever they were at.
  28.
  29. The founding of this little world is someone who shouldn’t exist trying to make something exist for those who she feels should exist. This is why any kai or god, anyone is welcome if they have interest in the dimensional universe, for better or worse.
  30.
  31.
  32. Our Factions
  33.
  34. These are groups that exist in the world to help drum up play as well as keep tensions high. More can always be added as they form and you’re welcome to see about joining any of them and having your character featured. We want people to interact and work together even while working against each other so we can make this room great fun.
  35.
  36. The Renegades
  37.
  38. This is a group who meddles in time similar to the Time Breakers but not for malicious intent. These individuals didn’t like their lot in life and sought to change it, even going as far as to save and recruit others to their cause as they were obliterated from various timelines. They go against the grain of what has been expected of them and the energy they collect not only tears apart this world, but helps keep it together at the same time in a strange balance.
  39.
  40. Retkan
  41. She’s the self-proclaimed leader, but has stepped back from most things to try and focus on keeping the world stable. This demon has her reasons. This means others have been able to step in.
  42.
  43. Nitmer
  44. A very childish demon that is Retkan’s right-hand man. He may be immature, but he’s got a sense of why they do what they do and is actually a self embodiment of The Renegades, a demon fighting his dark nature to try and live in a brighter world.
  45.
  46.
  47. The Time Breakers
  48.
  49. Knowing what’s happened in the past and seeing a new area with a new future, the Time Breakers seek to not destroy this world but take it and claim it as their own since all of the actual hard work has been done for them. Of course some actually may want to destroy it and take the energy put into its creation too! They also have a tendency of letting things play out, only to go back and pluck people out to be implanted and controlled for second, third and fourth chances of conquest and chaos.
  50.
  51.
  52. The Time Patrollers
  53.
  54. Multi-dimensional folk from all across existence and time! They work actively against the Time Breakers and here, they work to seal the destructive and dangerous rifts and help newcomers get settled when they come across them. Their relationships with the Renegades is shaky at best and often on an individual basis as well as a case-by-case scenario.
  55.
  56.
  57. The Troublemakers (Villains and more!)
  58.
  59. No matter what other groups they may belong to, they’re known for causing their own brands of hell and chaos. Each has their own reasons and agenda. They may or may not be truly evil. Evil is a matter of perspective too. What they are though is trouble for those who cross their paths on the wrong day or otherwise catch their eye.
  60.
  61.
  62. Nitmer
  63. Despite being a Renegade and trying to be “good”, Nitmer is a demon. He has dark tendencies and needs for such negative energy, a hunger he can’t deny. It can even take over him. While he does try to curb this and aim his antics to the weak in minor ways, Nitmer has been known to get quite carried away. At least he’s rumored to be mostly an immature coward. But what will win; childish cowardice or demonic hunger?
  64.
  65.
  66. The Powers That Be
  67.
  68. These characters are not all angels nor kai, gods nor any other set and specific type of being. What they are, are individuals who actively donate their power, will, focus and more into trying to keep the stability of this existence. They’ve taken upon themselves to “fill in” the roles needed to keep the world going and take the strain off of the shattering times. They’re also the ones who keep the room going and moving with its reality and story.
  69.
  70. Retkan
  71. The founder of the Renegades of this world and a few others. She’s a demon who has meddled enough in magic and ki to try her hands at creation and taking parts of lost times to create something new and different. She resides in the Lookout over Fusion City, mostly hiding in the background and watching the world go on around her, without her.
  72.
  73.
  74. Our Shenron and his Dragonballs
  75. Meet lil Shenron! A small, powerful Namekian child actually merged with the dying dragon as his essence was being removed from their own timeline. It’s never mentioned who, but one of the Renegades scooped up the gathered ki and remnants of the balls with the shifting energy mass of impending doom on their heels. When brought to the Lookout above Fusion City, the glow settled into the small dragon with his orbs. It’s currently unknown how he’s outside of his summons and he seems reluctant to let anyone touch his hoard of dragonballs. Shenron resides in the Lookout on his own pedestal, resting up on a large soft blue pillow with his dragonball hoard.
  76.
  77.
  78. Things of Note and Explanations: Things anyone can use!
  79. Capsule Corp Tech
  80. From cars in capsules to extravagant spaceships and more! Capsule Corp has various items available for all needs. Houses, boats, translators, scouters, vehicles, item-transport capsules... Not sure what you’re looking for exists? Ask a mod. Generally technology is used for flamboyant fanfare for slice-of-live scenes as well as a manner of training and transport for characters that otherwise can’t get places. One of the most notable inventions privy to this world are the Gateways, which are tech-controlled time rifts that allow people to literally step through and end up in another location. This is primarily used to traverse between cities and villages.
  81. Time Rifts
  82. Throughout the world there are rifts. There may even be rifts linking planets. Who knows?! Rifts exist to the game for a variety of reasons that include but are not limited to: 1) Rifts can help characters enter the world of our game. 2) Rifts allow for a character in West City to get to Fusion City as basic known transportation. 3) Rifts can be random happenstances that whisk characters to where the action is. 4) Rifts can be highly unstable and require mending and repair by the Time Patrol, giving them something more to do. Their energy is also very useful to Time Breakers and can act as an anchor for their nefarious desires. 5) If an epic battle is going on and someone D/C’s and has blipped out, they can always return through a rift or use a rift as an excuse for why their character suddenly disappeared due to RL crap.
  83. Ki
  84. Ki is energy, particularly energy in its rawest form also known as the energy of life. Ki has many types and tends to flare with emotions. It leaves an impression in all it touches and most humans feel this within one another via empathy while others can actually tell a person by their ki. Warriors use their ki to power up themselves for achieving their goals and unleashing powers that range from flight to devastating attacks. Some fighters even develop their own techniques through the use of their ki for creating signature moves. Along with a person’s ki, they tend to have an aura that flares from them. The colors vary and range depending on the person, as does the way they feel or react to the environment around them. Ki is found in all things. Every living thing contains its own ki while inanimate objects hold the residue of ki that has been transferred from others in contact. When one uses their ki, they are using the energy of themselves essentially although some can take the energy of others and utilize it.
  85. Magic
  86. Magic is a special, unique power. It’s often used for supportive techniques rather than the offensive. Being so distinct from ki, magic is drawn from the user’s belief and ability to tap into the unthinkable. It runs off of a whole different process than ki. For example, the use of ki tends to be amazingly taxing on the body. The use of magic tends to be amazingly taxing on the mind. At times it can be combined with ki and be taxing on both but this usually is the case for those less than adapt in their studies. Magic is a form of creation usually, allowing for various techniques such as sealing, transportation, shape-shifting, and even summoning items. The possibilities can be rather limitless.
  87. Dark Magic
  88. This is a special type of magic that can essentially infect others into being rather sinister, control or wipe their minds or otherwise alter another into a darker personality. It’s derived from the Demon Realm’s dark energy and allows demons and other evil races to take on more villainous modes or corrupt others. Dark magic doesn’t work on deities or those who possess godly ki or divine ki such as angels. It can be resisted, countered and even broken by those it does affect. Dark magic is also the go-to for demons and dark entities to utilize “magic” techniques and spells for themselves, given that they’re creatures of evil and that’s what this power is as well. They use similar spells but a different draw of energy from the normal magic-users. Dark magic requires Dark Energy, which is namely found in abundance in the Demon Realm. However some demons have found a way to create a special own-type of dark energy for their needs when beyond the Demon Realm and others seem to be able to draw in negative ki from others and their environment to power themselves and their spells. Dark magic seems to be able to do anything and everything “magic” can do but has a dark or demonic taint about it as well as potential corrupted consequences for the afflicted.
