i could really use housing leads. i want a room, ideally in berkeley but i would be willing to move to sf or oakland as long as it’s like within 2km of a bart station. my budget is- i’d be happy up to 1200, willing to go up to 1400 if it’s good. housing needs + ways i suck at being a roommate:

- i prefer to live in a rathouse but its not strictly necessary
- i need a pretty low conflict level, like i would prefer to not be yelled at more than once every three months including yelling about something that’s not my fault in my vicinity or whatever
- i can’t wash my dish after eating every single time. i can put it in the dishwasher and i can hide it in my room like 98% of the time
- i value group meals and am happy to cook things to cause them to happen
- i am often awake at weird times but quiet
- i need a low baseline noise level but i’ve never been in a house that didn’t have like multiple young children that was too loud
- i like children and animals but don’t require them
- i’m really good with babies
- i kind of want to get a dog but i don’t have to get a dog i could just not do that
- i wanna have a friend over like every other day and occasionally just have a friend live with me in my room for a week
- sometimes i will be grouchy. i don’t snap at people basically ever but i do some failing to respond / shrugging belligerently when people ask me how i am.
- i am snuggly and would like to live with at least one person i can hug whenever i want, although i do not require it if it’s okay for me to invite people over to hug me very often. i give good hugs.
- i would welcome the presence of queer people and strongly prefer at least one other jewish person. jewish-adjacent people count for something.
- i moderately strongly prefer that there be communal basic ingredients like rice eggs milk potatoes spices onions garlic sauces etc
- my ability to do chores comes in bursts; i do better with an amount of chores i have to do in a week than with something daily that’s my responsibility
- i expect to spend like 1/5 of nights not at home; i’m cool with guests sleeping in my bed when i’m not there as long as the sheets get changed and they don’t like mess with my stuff
- i really really hate mold and can’t interact with things that have mold unless it’s an emergency
- i can play presentable but i am really really not presentable in terms of who i actually am
- i give good conversation if you are not put off by the way i think
- i will probably get a new job in a few months
- i generally disprefer monetization in the general case, ie i prefer to replace food i accidentally ate instead of paying for it, i prefer utilities to be split evenly, i prefer people to not keep track of like who bought whom lunch or whatever, etc
- i like honesty and straightforwardness and stuff
- i have some tragic backstory that i would like to be able to ever mention without it being a thing?
- i like there being a house discord/slack/whatever (discord is better)
- i have an above baseline psychosis risk. i have never had a psychotic episode although one time i intentionally induced a psychosis-ish thing for like 30 minutes, hallucinated that i had hurt someone, and noped the fuck out. if i have a psychotic episode and end up damaging someone’s stuff or something i will pay for it once i’m not psychotic unless i reeally have no money
- there exists at least one thing that i don’t wanna say on the public internet
