James (Hayden Christensen) owes his life to his older brother, Frankie (Adrien Brody) after taking the rap for a crime they committed together. While Frankie served time, James worked to turn his life around, got a steady job and began courting his former girlfriend Emily (Jordana Brewster). Now, Frankie is released and back on the streets with no money and no place to go. He turns to his underworld connections (Akon) and convinces James to join him in hopes that one last job will be the solution to change both their lives.

I see that a big budget was in place. Why do we not see a preview nor a trailer in the USA? Some films had trailers months in advance to promote their films? We Americans are thinking they sold us short already and we haven't even viewed the film. Can someone post a trailer link? I have noticed two film posters for this production. The talent choices looked very good, too bad their character doesn't seem matched up. Happy viewings, see you at the movies. New Orleans seems to be like the low budget indie film festival area of the USA, film industry is there for cheap locations and tax breaks. Most of the reviews on this film are from people that want super fast cars and explosions with super intelligent heist tactics. This is not that film. But it is not a bad film.<br/><br/>Not a bad movie at all. I really liked it. If you want a super high budget blockbuster, this is not your movie. If you want to feel the characters and understand their pain, and you can watch slow movies a gain something from them, I recommend this movie. It is definitely a B film, but both of the characters are good actors. You really feel what they are experiencing and what they have been through. <br/><br/>I do not regret watching this film at all. But I can enjoy a good film, and I can understand the slower films.
A run-of-the-mill crime drama that toes the risibility line on several occasions, even if it’s better made than your typical straight-to-video movie.
