- You've been fidgeting for a long while now.
- It was only several hours ago when you asked Kris Dreemurr, one of your classmates, to meet you at the rooftop of the school after class. You figured that it would be a far more atmospheric place as you would often eat lunch together, sitting down and talking about whatever came to mind. While Kris was a quiet lad, every conversation you had with each other came to be natural - and often you would find yourself mesmerized in his subtle smiles and concise replies.
- That's why you decided to ask him out to the place you shared together.
- But… was it really a good idea? You pray to any gods available that Kris would not reject you harshly.
- You immediately turned your head to the sound of the rooftop door unlocking and being gently pushed before it's quietly closed again. The soft wind blew over Kris's hair, showing a glimpse of his questioning eyes staring towards you. You gulped as you could hear your racing heart overpowering the sound of his footsteps.
- "Is there something wrong?" Kris asked, standing directly in front of you. "You seem a little tense..."
- You rehearsed! You were so sure, so confident that you would be able to ask him casually what you wanted to say, but the way the afternoon sunlight glowed on Kris's face was so alluring that you couldn't help but stare at how truly wonderful he was. This only caused your anxiety to skyrocket, and you stammered as Kris slightly tilted his head in confusion.
- "K-Kris," you said, trying your best to gaze at his mostly-hidden eyes, "W-would… would you…go on a date… with me...?"
- Silence.
- When the wind grew stronger, so did the way your heart beat faster to the point that you'd thought that it was about to burst out of your chest - because you could see just how wide Kris's eyes turned and blinked rapidly before he stepped back.
- Quickly, you wave your hands and almost blurt out that he didn't need to say yes or even respond, but you were too taken aback by how Kris hid his face with both of his hands.
- Oh.
- He was blushing.
- "K-Kris?"
- "Sure..." Kris finally said, opening a small gap with his fingers so he could look at you with one eye, "I… w-want to go on a date with you."
- The two of you had to deal with Susie's playful jeers for more than a month as Kris offered to hold your hand at every opportunity.
