  2. 01[14:50] <@Geremy-Tibbles> When you approach the mansion there doesn't seem to be anyone at the gate, but there is a callbox with a video screen on it.
  3. 06[14:50] * Karel_van_Buren decides to take the more direct route this time, and pushes the call button.

  5. 01[14:52] <@Geremy-Tibbles> There's a long wait and then the screen turns on. It's Kaja. "Karel?"
  6. [14:52] <Karel_van_Buren> "Hallo Kaja~"
  7. 01[14:52] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She smiles. "Hi!"
  8. [14:53] <Karel_van_Buren> "Seb and the rest of us got invited to a party. Do you want to come too?"
  9. 01[14:58] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "You mean it? Really?"
  10. [14:59] <Karel_van_Buren> "Yep! I think it would be more fun if you were there too."
  11. 01[15:00] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She smiles wide on the screen. "Yes!"
  12. 06[15:02] * Karel_van_Buren smiles as well, "Great! Also, Seb says I need to see a movie. I've never seen one before, so do you want to go too?"
  13. 01[15:02] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She nods, still smiling. "I'll get my things. Do we need a ride?"
  14. 06[15:03] * Karel_van_Buren looks a bit sheepish, "I don't know. Where do you go to see a movie?"

  16. 01[15:04] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "I don't know any places."
  17. [15:05] <Karel_van_Buren> "Um...I know! We can ask Alice! You should meet her too. She's really nice."

  19. 01[15:07] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She disapears from the screen. It goes black.
  20. 06[15:09] * Karel_van_Buren waits by the gate humming to himself.

  22. 01[15:12] <@Geremy-Tibbles> Eventually you see Kaja pop out, dressed rather nice in red. Wolf, the giant, stands in the door for a moment and then returns inside. She walks to the gate, which opens for her and smiles at Karel.

  35. 06[15:21] * Karel_van_Buren takes out his cell and calls Alice.

  37. [15:24] <Karel_van_Buren> "Dag, Alice. I'm at Kaja's house, and we were wondering if you could take us somewhere that shows movies. We don't know where to go."
  38. 01[15:24] <@Geremy-Tibbles> Alice snickers. "Oh? You're taking her on a date and you don't even have a plan?"
  39. [15:27] <Karel_van_Buren> "Well, Seb said I should see a movie, and I thought Kaja would want to come too, but we don't know where any movie places are."
  40. 01[15:29] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "Alright, go find the nearest bus stop, I'll be there in like 5 minutes."
  41. [15:30] <Karel_van_Buren> "Ok~"
  42. [15:30] <Karel_van_Buren> "Dag"
  43. 06[15:30] * Karel_van_Buren hangs up, "She wants us to wait for her at the nearest bus stop."
  44. 01[15:31] <@Geremy-Tibbles> Kaja nods and takes his hand, smiling.
  45. [15:33] <Karel_van_Buren> "Let's see, it's...this way~"
  46. 01[15:33] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She follows, in tow the way Karel usually is.
  47. [15:34] <Karel_van_Buren> "I haven't seen you at school in a little while. Were you not feeling well?"
  48. 01[15:38] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "I had to... go to the doctors. I'm better now."

  81. [16:05] <Karel_van_Buren> "This is gonna be fun. I've never done this before."
  82. 01[16:05] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She smiles and leads you up to the ticketman.
  83. 06[16:06] * Karel_van_Buren hands the ticket man his ticket.
  84. 01[16:07] <@Geremy-Tibbles> He rips both your tickets, gives you the theatre number and hands back the stubs.
  85. 06[16:07] * Karel_van_Buren walks towards the theatre he pointed to. Halfway there, "...Hey, Kaja. What's a date?"
  86. 01[16:08] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "Well it's uh... oh." she blushes, realizing why he's asking.
  87. 01[16:09] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "W-wel it's when two people who like eachother alot go and do stuff togetehr..."

  89. 06[16:11] * Karel_van_Buren thinks he understands, "Oh...so we're on a date right now, like Alice said?"
  90. 01[16:16] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She turns redder. "Uh, well, I mean..."
  91. 01[16:16] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "I... do you want us to be?"
  92. 06[16:17] * Karel_van_Buren gives one of his rare genuine smiles, "Yeah! You're my best friend. I really like you a lot!"
  93. 01[16:18] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She looks at him smiling for a moment, red as her dress and then hugs him.
  94. 06[16:19] * Karel_van_Buren hugs her back. It feels nicer than when he hugs Alice.
  95. 01[16:20] <@Geremy-Tibbles> Karel, when you hug her, her spine feels unusually 'hard'.
  96. 01[16:21] <@Geremy-Tibbles> It also feels raised
  97. 01[16:22] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She pulls away from the hug still smiling. "Thank you, Karel."
  98. 06[16:23] * Karel_van_Buren just smiles. "That was...nicer than when Alice hugs me. I wonder why."
  99. 01[16:24] <@Geremy-Tibbles> Kaja doesnt say anything, just walks with him into the theater.
  100. 01[16:29] <@Geremy-Tibbles> You sit in the back. It's a romantic comedy.
  101. [16:31] <Karel_van_Buren> "Wow. It really is a big tv."
  102. 01[16:31] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "Yeah, and no commercials."
  103. [16:32] <Karel_van_Buren> "Oooo."
  104. 01[16:33] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She nods and smiles, laying her head on his shoulder. She stays like that through the whole movie, laughing at some of the jokes.
  105. 06[16:35] * Karel_van_Buren doesn't get a lot of the jokes, often asking her what they meant. During the more romantic scenes, he had to ask her what the actors were doing.
  106. 01[16:36] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She trys to explain and then fumbles trying to explain the romantic bits.
  107. 06[16:38] * Karel_van_Buren obviously has no clue as to what they were doing, and judging by his reaction this is the first time he's ever seen two people kiss, let alone the more..."romantic" things being done or inferred on screen.
  108. 01[16:39] <@Geremy-Tibbles> This only makes her blush more, but you manage to make it through.
  109. 01[16:41] <@Geremy-Tibbles> The movie ends, the couple are together, everything is fine.
  110. 01[16:41] <@Geremy-Tibbles> Lights come up and Kaja's still red.
  111. 06[16:41] * Karel_van_Buren stretches from sitting down for so long, "That was fun. We should do that again."
  112. [16:41] <Karel_van_Buren> "Hmm? Are you alright?"
  113. 01[16:42] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "I- uh... yes."
  114. 01[16:42] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She stands up with him.
  115. [16:44] <Karel_van_Buren> "Wanna go get some ice cream now?"
  116. 01[16:44] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "Um... sure."
  117. [16:45] <Karel_van_Buren> "Oh wait. I said I'd call Alice when the movie was over. Hold on."
  118. 06[16:45] * Karel_van_Buren does so.
  119. 01[16:46] <@Geremy-Tibbles> Alice picks up. "How'd it go?"
  120. [16:47] <Karel_van_Buren> "It was a lot of fun. I didn't really understand a lot of what they were doing on screen, though. And when I asked Kaja she just turned really red."
  121. 01[16:48] <@Geremy-Tibbles> You hear Alice stifle her laughter. "Okay, you want me to pick you guys up?"
  122. [16:48] <Karel_van_Buren> "Not yet. We're gonna go get ice cream first."
  123. 01[16:49] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "Alright, call me after that then."
  124. [16:50] <Karel_van_Buren> "Okay. Dag~"
  125. 06[16:50] * Karel_van_Buren hangs up.
  126. [16:50] <Karel_van_Buren> "Alright. I think that ice cream place we went to last time is near here."
  127. 01[16:51] <@Geremy-Tibbles> Kaja's blush is subsiding. "Okay. I don't really remember the way, though."
  128. 06[16:52] * Karel_van_Buren grins, "I remember the way! I never forget!"
  129. 01[16:53] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She smiles.
  130. 06[16:53] * Karel_van_Buren takes her hand and leads the way.
  131. 01[16:54] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She follows.
  132. 01[16:56] <@Geremy-Tibbles> You easily find the icecream place.
  133. [16:57] <Karel_van_Buren> "Hee~. See?"
  134. 01[16:57] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "I didn't doubt you."
  135. 06[17:00] * Karel_van_Buren grins widely. "C'mon. Let's get our ice cream."
  136. 01[17:00] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She smiles back and walks up with her.
  137. [17:03] <Karel_van_Buren> "What would you like?"
  138. 01[17:04] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "Um..."
  139. 01[17:04] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "Hm. I've never had chocolate ice cream before."
  140. [17:06] <Karel_van_Buren> "Okay~."
  141. 06[17:06] * Karel_van_Buren turns to the ice cream guy, "Two chocolate please."
  142. 01[17:06] <@Geremy-Tibbles> He scoops them onto cones and hands them to you with one hand and takes the money with the other.
  143. 06[17:07] * Karel_van_Buren hands one of them to Kaja, and starts on his own.
  144. [17:08] <Karel_van_Buren> "I love ice cream. They never let me have sugar back home."
  145. 01[17:09] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She licks the ice cream happily. "I get it sometimes, but only when I'm good.
  146. [17:10] <Karel_van_Buren> "When we were good, we got more to eat. Sometimes even a second meal."
  147. 01[17:11] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "That seems strange..."
  148. [17:12] <Karel_van_Buren> "That's what Gabby said. She said my dad was a bad man, and that I shouldn't have been treated that way."
  149. [17:13] <Karel_van_Buren> "I always just thought that was normal."
  150. 01[17:13] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "Well, I'm not sure about yoru father, but I know you shouldn't be treated that way."

  152. [17:14] <Karel_van_Buren> "It's...it's alright now though. He's dead, and Alice is much nicer."

  154. 06[17:15] * Karel_van_Buren smiles, "It's alright. They don't own me anymore. And now I have friends."

  156. [17:16] <Karel_van_Buren> "Real friends that aren't just acting like that so they can steal my food or clothes!"
  157. [17:16] <Karel_van_Buren> "I'm really glad we met."

  159. 01[17:20] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She gets up close to him and rests her head on his shoulder.

  162. [17:22] <Karel_van_Buren> "I don't know why, but I feel really happy like this."

  169. [17:33] <Karel_van_Buren> "I kind of wanted to stay like this a little longer."
  170. 01[17:36] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She smiles wide and puts her head back down. "Me too."
  171. 06[17:40] * Karel_van_Buren leans into her a little bit.
  172. 01[17:47] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She embraces him, and they stay like that for a while.

  177. 06[18:07] * Karel_van_Buren smiles, "We should probably head back though. Besides, we still have that party this weekend."

  179. [18:14] <Karel_van_Buren> "Of course. You're my best friend."
  180. 01[18:17] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She stands up and offers her hand.
  181. 06[18:17] * Karel_van_Buren takes her hand and stands up.

  188. [18:23] <Karel_van_Buren> "Yeah. I'm fine!"

  191. 01[18:26] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She picks you both up.
  192. 06[18:28] * Karel_van_Buren is blushing quite a bit. It's much more striking considering how pale he is.
  193. 01[18:28] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She grins at you as you both get in.
  194. 06[18:30] * Karel_van_Buren sits closer to her than he did when she dropped them off, but otherwise is too embarassed to talk.
  195. 01[18:31] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She puts her hand on his the whole ride back to her house.
  196. 01[18:34] <@Geremy-Tibbles> Eventually you reach Kaja's house.
  197. 01[18:34] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She looks at you. "Well..."
  198. [18:35] <Karel_van_Buren> "So...I'll um...I'll come get you this weekend for the party."

  200. 01[18:36] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She kind of leans in and brushes your hair aside but stops a few inches from your face.
  201. 06[18:37] * Karel_van_Buren looks kind of puzzled at first, but then remembers the movie, and leans in as well, and rather inexpertly kisses her.
  202. 01[18:37] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She blushes and kisses back, equally bad.
  203. 01[18:38] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She sits back when it's done and just stares. "I... um..."
  204. 01[18:38] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "...bye!"
  205. 01[18:39] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She gets out, fumbling and walks awkwardly to the gate, and then inside. ALice turns around grinning. "Smooth."
  206. 06[18:39] * Karel_van_Buren is bright red, "Uh..."
  207. [18:39] <Karel_van_Buren> "That's...that's not how it happened in the movie." he grins nervously.
  208. 01[18:40] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She laughs and drives away. She teases like a 12 year old. "Karel's got a girlfriend!"
  209. 01[18:43] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "So, it must've gone well."
  210. [18:45] <Karel_van_Buren> "Y-yeah."
  211. 06[18:46] * Karel_van_Buren isn't as talkative as usual. The new experience has apparently rattled him a bit.
  212. 01[18:47] <@Geremy-Tibbles> She snickers slightly the whole way back home. "She's nice Karel, don't worry. I'm just teasing."
  213. [18:48] <Karel_van_Buren> "Yeah...I just..."
  214. [18:48] <Karel_van_Buren> "I like her, but it's different than with everyone else."
  215. 01[18:49] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "Of course. She's a girl, Karel."
  216. [18:50] <Karel_van_Buren> "I didn't want to leave, but...her dad's friends are mean. I didn't want to get her in trouble.

  218. 01[18:53] <@Geremy-Tibbles> "Well, glad your date went well. Seb and Gabby should be finishing up theres."
