  1. >The life of a Rainbow Dash is a harsh one.
  2.
  3. >Friday.
  4.
  5. >She wakes up late for school
  6.
  7. >No clean clothes...all crumpled up on the floor
  8.
  9. >Dad yells at her to hurry up
  10.
  11. >Miss school bus...gotta ride her bicycle
  12.
  13. >It's raining
  14.
  15. >She shows up late
  16.
  17. >Day-old clothes already stank like sweat & BO
  18.
  19. >Now they're all wet
  20.
  21. >Office won't give her a hall pass for being late
  22.
  23. >She gets a dirty look from Mrs. Harshwhinny as she tries to sneak into class
  24.
  25. "Turn in your homework. Professionally, please."
  26.
  27. >Oh shit. Was in a hurry this morning; left it on her bed.
  28.
  29. >No homework to turn in.
  30.
  31. >Gets detention for no homework.
  32.
  33. >Late for soccer practice because detention
  34.
  35. >No special treatment for star player
  36.
  37. >Coach makes her run laps around muddy field
  38.
  39. >Remember, it rained this morning
  40.
  41. >Rides bicycle home
  42.
  43. >Tracks mud into living room
  44.
  45. >Scolded by Mom
  46.
  47. "Mom, chill, I'll clean it up! Jeeze!"
  48.
  49. >Dad doesn't like her tone of voice
  50.
  51. >Also, He finds out she got detention
  52.
  53. >Leads to a shouting match
  54.
  55. >Dad wins that fight...big time
  56.
  57. >No phone, no vidya for a week
  58.
  59. >She goes to her room, crying.
  60.
  61. >Decided to sneak out to see her friend next door, not even changing clothes or taking a shower.
  62.
  63. >….
  64.
  65. “What the hell, man. That guy has to be using mods.”
  66.
  67. >You’re currently huddled around your computer, playing your favorite game.
  68.
  69. >Friday night means game night. Hell yea.
  70.
  71. >In the distance you can hear thunder from the passing rain storm that battered your home town all day.
  72.
  73. >*Tap, tap, tap*
  74.
  75. >Suddenly, you hear a tapping at your window.
  76.
  77. >You, think it’s just a tree branch. Or a bird.
  78.
  79. >Go back to the game.
  80.
  81. >*Tap, tap, tap*
  82.
  83. >The tapping gets harder this time.
  84.
  85. >You still ignore it.
  86.
  87. >You just got a package and it was a mini-gun.
  88.
  89. >You mutter curse words to yourself after a guy got a random headshot on you.
  90.
  91. >*BANG*
  92.
  93. >The sound makes you jump from your seat.
  94.
  95. >It came from your window again.
  96.
  97. >You look over, your eyes trying to set to the darkness infront of you after staring at the bright screen of the monitor.
  98.
  99. >You see it’s a person.
  100.
  101. >A bright flash fills the panel of the window.
  102.
  103. >And you recognize who it is.
  104.
  105. >It's Dashie, your next door neighbor
  106.
  107. >How the fuck did she up this high?
  108.
  109. >You quickly get over to the window and open your window for her.
  110.
  111. “Dash, what hell are you doing?!”
  112.
  113. "Hey, Anon...I'm having a really lousy day."
  114.
  115. >You look out the window to see how she got up to the second story.
  116.
  117. >She climbed up to the old tree-house you two used to play in.
  118.
  119. >You look back towards her, inches away.
  120.
  121. >She looks close to tears.
  122.
  123. >Damn.
  124.
  125. "Think I could come in and just...you know...hang out?"
  126.
  127. >…
  128.
  129. “So you got banned from Video games and Phone for a week because of what happened today?”
  130.
  131. >Rainbow Dash just Nods.
  132.
  133. “I was wondering where you were today at the bus stop. Probably should of known.”
  134.
  135. >Rainbow dash hasn’t moved since you let her crawl in.
  136.
  137. >And ever since then a foul stench has surrounded your tidy room.
  138.
  139. >You take a couple sniffs and spin around in your office chair.
  140.
  141. “Hey, dash. Do you smell that?”
  142.
  143. >Rainbow dash doesn’t answer. All she does is squeeze her legs closer to her and bury her face in them.
  144.
  145. >You pick up some dirty clothes from your hamper and sniff them.
  146. >Nope, actually even your dirty clothes smell fine.
  147.
  148. >You continue sniffing.
  149.
  150. “Good god. That fucking reeks.”
  151.
  152. >You make you way over to the bed where Rainbow dash is sitting.
  153.
  154. >You realize what it is.
  155.
  156. “Dash…..did…..did you even take a shower before you go here?”
  157.
  158. >You couldn’t see it, but dash’s face was bright red.
  159.
  160. “Oh my god” You hold your nose “You smell awful!”
  161.
  162. >”Shut up!” Rainbow dash says with tears in her eyes.
  163.
  164. >You’re taken back with the sight of Rainbow ‘danger’ Dash
  165.
  166. “Dude, you seriously need a shower. I can’t let you stay here smelling like that.”
  167.
  168. >Rainbow dash just buried her face deeper into her knees and began to sniffle.
  169.
  170. >She then began to cry.
  171.
  172. >oh shit.
  173.
  174. >It was kind of sad, really. To see a girl, who you thought growing up was the toughest person you ever knew, crying before you, in your very own bedroom.
  175.
  176. >You don’t say anything but watch on as she cries, watching her body shake and tremble.
  177.
  178. >Damn, things must have been bad.
  179. >You decide to stop just standing there and actually do something.
  180. “Dash, it’s ok.” You sit down next to her, patting her back.
  181. >God this is awkward.
  182. >You’ve been the shoulder to cry on a bunch of times, but not with a girl as hard as Dash.
  183. “Listen, why don’t you go take a shower. I’ll wash your clothes and give you a fresh outfit. Ok?”
  184. >Dash looks up and rubs her nose and eyes.
  185. >”C-can I pick? The outfit I mean.”
  186. “Uh, yea. Sure. Whatever you want. Anything for you.”
  187. >Did you just let dash invade your closet? The chick is like 15 sizes smaller then you.
  188. >Rainbow dash looks at you and smiles. Then she leans forward for a hug.
  189. >You hesitantly accept Dash’s softness.
  190. >God, this is awkward.
  191. “Ight, you remember where the bathroom on this floor is, right?”
  192. >”N-not really. I haven’t been in your house for so long.”
  193. >You groan at this, but get up and motion dash to follow you.
  194. >She does, shyly. And you walk with her down the hallway.
  195.
  196. >….
  197. >Walking down the narrow hallway, you feel a blast of cold air hit you.
  198. >This house is freezing.
  199. >You walk behind anon and look at all the family pictures hanging on the white painted walls.
  200. >For a while you were almost like a 5th member of his family, then school got in the way.
  201. >And after his brother died, he kind of just…..distanced himself away from you and everybody else.
  202. >And that’s when you met Soarin’. God, how could you of been so naive.
  203. >Meeting that dickhead was one of the worst decisions you made in your entire life. And you’ve made a lot of them.
  204. >”Well here we are. Take as long as you want, Dash. And leave your clothes out so I can wash ‘em.”
  205. “T-thanks anon, for everything.” You say nervously.
  206. >”It’s no problem. Anything for a friend.” He says with the warmest smile.
  207. >He walks past you and down the hall, towards the stairs.
  208. >You step inside.
  209. >The bathroom is incredibly clean. The whole entire room is whit except for the throw rugs on the floor and the hand towels hanging from the wall.
  210. >It’s also cold in here, just like the rest of the house.
  211. >Closing the door as silently with an audible *click*, you turn and face the huge mirror over the sink.
  212. >And you’re greeted with a horrible sight.
  213. >In the mirror, is you? But, not the same you. A broken and battered you.
  214. >Your blue cheeks, brighter then usual, are visibly stained by tears.
  215. >Hair a mess.
  216. >You look at both hands and see the mud has dried up. There was even dirt under your fingernails.
  217. >You plant your hands on the clean white bathroom counter.
  218. >Looking at your clothes, you see how the dirt has crusted on your flannel.
  219. >Stains on your favorite white shirt.
  220. >You begin to feel tears coming again.
  221. “Come on Dash, pull yourself together.” You whisper.
  222. >But it’s no use, you feel the flood coming.
  223. >Lowering your head you begin to cry, gritting your teeth.
  224. >….
  225.
  226. >“Watcha doing?” Your father questions.
  227. “Oh, um, just doing some laundry.”
  228. >”This late?”
  229. “I can’t seem to go to bed tonight, plus I have a lot of dirty clothes.” You say as you lift up the hamper full of your clothes, showing him how much you have, with Dashie’s placed on the very bottom so he wouldn’t question them.
  230. >”Well, ok then son. I’m going to bed, don’t stay up too late or you’ll be sleeping all day tomorrow”
  231. “All right dad. Love you, Good night.”
  232. >”Night”
  233. >Just as he leaves to go to his bedroom, you hear the water upstairs being turned on.
  234. >…..
  235. >Shit
  236. >luckily he didn’t say nothing of it.
  237. >You forgot that he might hear that, and why your down here with the water on up there.
  238. >You better just put the clothes in and go upstairs.
  239. >You disagree with yourself and decide to let Dash have some time by herself.
  240. >You begin doing laundry by Taking out Rainbow’s clothes out first. Making sure you don’t touch any of her unmentionables.
  241. >Closing the lid to the washer, you put it on ‘super’.
  242. >Now you wait.
  243. >You decide to grab a quick snack and pull an apple out of the fridge.
  244. >Standing in the kitchen, leaning against the marble kitchen top, you ponder about what might have actually made Dash get so upset.
  245. >She’s had fights with her dad plenty of times, shrugging it off most of the times. Maybe this one was actually more serious.
  246. >The only other thing that could made her upset was thinking of Soarin’.
  247. >Soarin’ was Dash’s on-and-off boyfriend for about 4 years, ever since 7th grade is from what you remember.
  248. >She finally broke up with him about a month ago, saying that she didn’t want to be taken on an ‘Emotional Rollercoaster’ anymore.
  249. >It was usually Soarin’ who broke up with Dash, but it was so many times it happened Dash just got used to it.
  250. >You take another bite of your apple.
  251. >Soarin’ was never a bad guy, to you.
  252. >You never hated him.
  253.
  254. >But he wasn’t the best thing for Rainbow Dash.
  255. >Always flirting with other chicks and spending a lot of time with his friends more than he did with Dash.
  256. >You don’t blame him, friends are important to.
  257. >You always felt Soarin’ didn’t really love Dash, but loved the idea of dating her.
  258. >But you never felt obligated to get in the middle of it, plus Dash told you plenty of times before that she could handle it.
  259. >You don’t really like to get in the middle of drama, either.
  260. >She would sometimes complain about it, but only to you and never to her friends. She didn’t want her friend thinking she was soft.
  261. >But you can see it’s taken its toll on Dash, she’s been getting to school late, not doing her homework, and not giving her all in sports.
  262. >But you didn’t want to say anything because she would just shrug it off.
  263. >But you knew Dash loved Soarin’. And that when they dated she would do anything for him.
  264. >The thought of ‘anything’ made you shiver in straight up cringe.
  265. >You remember how badly you reacted when you found out she lost her virginity to Soarin’.
  266. >She pretty much did everything with Soarin’.
  267. >God, You seriously need to stop thinking of Soarin’.
  268. >It isn’t about him anymore, it’s about you helping your friend that needs a lot of it.
  269. >But you really don’t feel that strongly about Rainbow either.
  270. >You gave up on any thought you and her being together a long time ago and pretty much moved on with your life.
  271. >Which made you a whole lot happier to be honest.
  272. >But also made you kind of distance yourself from her.
  273. >You know realize that it wasn’t just what happened today that made her act like she is now, but everything that she’s bottled up and accumulated over the years.
  274. >Which is a lot when you figure how much emotional torture she went through as soccer captain, with the huge pressure on her shoulders to carry a team, and the emotional rollercoaster that guy who you will not mention took her on.
  275. >God. Now that you really think of it, a lot of shits been happening.
  276. >You look up towards the ceiling as if your looking up to Dash, hoping she’s ok and that maybe the shower is making her feel better.
  277. >…..
  278. >[YouTube] Shower sound effects
  279. >You’ve been Sitting in the corner like some sort of freak, with your knees to your chest. Just constantly crying.
  280. >Letting the water come and envelope you.
  281. >How long have you been like this?
  282. >10 minutes? 30 minutes? An hour?
  283. >Who knows?
  284. >Anon must think you’re a total loser for crying in front of him like that and stinking up his room.
  285. >You’ve been sitting like this long enough.
  286. >It's time to get up, get dressed, and face anon.
  287. >Time to apologize to him and tell him how you really feel.
  288. >You grab the tile wall of the shower with one hand and push off of it and stand up.
