“V-Vanir, I told you, it might be a lesser member of the species, but it’s still a dragon! They have powerful magic, and even I’ll feel it if I get too close and it bites me!”

“I don’t think this is the time, Wiz! Vanir… Vanir’s going to get eaten!”

I was face-to-face with a real dragon for the first time in a long while. Wiz claimed this was a lesser dragon, but as far as its size was concerned, it still easily surpassed some storehouses. It looked like if it wanted a steak, it could probably just eat the whole cow!

“Argh, it ate my hand! There’s nothing in this dungeon from which to reconstitute a body for myself. If it keeps eating, I’m going to disappear! Fine, we have no choice… Dragon scales sell for an exceptionally high price, and they yield a great deal of experience, but we have to give up on this creature! Wiz, finish it off with magic!”

“All right! Here I go! Cursed Lightning!”

Vanir was somehow managing to keep the dragon at bay despite the fact that it was chewing on one of his arms
