  1. [15:40] Ethric Athelier says, "So."
  2. [15:40] Ethric Athelier asks, "What do you believe the answer is?"
  3. [15:57] What do you believe the answer is?
  4.
  5. That was a question far bigger than what Seifer had expected to be asked. A hand reached up to his side in order to hold it, to try and mend the pain away on his own discretely while he elaborated on his findings. His gaze shifted upwards, holding silence for a few moments before lips parted.
  6.
  7. "Harmony."
  8.
  9. As if it was this easy that a one-word answer would be the solution to the world's decaying state. He elaborated further.
  10.
  11. "Harmony between people. Harmony with the world. And harmony in wisdom.
  12.
  13. Those are the keys.
  14.
  15. My research has hardly provided a method to fix the world's pain and heal the land that has been desecrated by dark magic; even the ex-Stellus who was able to bring a man back to life does not know how to truly heal the wounds we've inflicted upon Esshar.
  16.
  17. However.
  18.
  19. I've learned that there was a common point with eachand every single individual I've spoken to, save for the man most responsible for the world's pain:
  20.
  21. Unity. Diplomacy. Strength in numbers. Sacrifice. Will. They're all interconnected. The Stellus suggested that power was the ability to decide your own fate while Fennel thought it to be nothing more than manifesting one's own fate. Violet Vartuul saw it as nothing more than physical strength. Geztelle claimed it was to remain true to yourself no matter what the rest of the world says. Ryker said it was the ability to take what you want. D'noxa thought it was in part your ability to do as you will and the way the world percieves you.
  22.
  23. And yet, all of them — save for Ryker — suggested that the best way to mend the world's wounds was through bringing people together. Be it to make them understand the truth, tearing down those who refuse to, or to enact diplomacy in order for all of Esshar to work together on an issue bigger than petty battles. Geztelle believed it was to overwhelm the darkness with light, claiming that 'balance' is merely achieved when the world is rid of corruption."
  24.
  25. A deep breath is taken and a small shake of Seifer's head is made.
  26.
  27. "I never thought I'd find my answer until my meeting with D'noxa recently. She cast away her physical form to remain as a spirit within Moxtli's forests, intent on defending it against Nethradin and other beings who do not belong in our realm. Though it wasn't her form that inspired me, but this-"
  28.
  29. He pulls out a ruby gemstone, one seemingly full of spiritual energy. Guidance from the spirits of the land could be heard faintly coming through.
  30.
  31. "Part of her spiritual essence. While I'm sure it'll aid me in other ways, the way she drew it forth was most... unique. From the lifestream it was drawn, remaining as a part of our world until she offered it to me.
  32.
  33. And so, I thought that if I could form a connection with the world itself— with the lifestream I would be able to mend the damage dealt to it. At least to an extent.
  34.
  35. So this, Mister Athelier, is the method I've found.
  36.
  37. I believe it's important to carry the wisdom offered by each and every place in the world. Even Ryker pyr Docro taught me something about the limits of how merciful one could be.
  38.
  39. A man like himself is hardly going to be convinced to change his ways, and ultimately? He may have to be struck down."
  40. (Seifer Gardios)

  43. [15:57] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  44. [16:10] Rosemarin Loire says, "Come here, Ethric."
  45. [16:10] Ethric Athelier says, "One moment."
  46. [16:11] Rosemarin Loire says, "Tsk."
  47. [16:11] Zhrani Amunet says, "Sorry, miss!.."
  48. [16:11] Ethric seats himself easily, listening intently. Hands clasp.
  49.
  50. "An excellent answer, Mister Gardios."
  51.
  52. Hands clasp. "Very well. That is fair, and correct- And unfortunate. Attuning yourself to the lifestream is something more than capable of being done- I would go as far as to say that learning from Lady ven Pelleaux might give you an excellent introduction into that art, as I believe she practices it."
  53.
  54. "It is somewhat of a basis on some level parallel to white magic, but I have seen her proactively practicing attunement. Meditative understanding, and seeking out some of the quieter places upon Esshar in the deep woods and fonts- As I mentioned of what the Mire once was- Could aid you in learning to match yourself unto it."
  55.
  56. "Merely remember that there are alternatives to death. You need not strike down every enemy- There are ways to imprison them. They may take their lives, but as long as you know you have done your utmost to give your enemies a chance to live and to offer their knowledge, even in captivity, you are acting in the best of interests."
  57.
  58. "However, yes. Ideally, the most direct way- Is to act as a mediator between realms. To try to encourage peace proactively, rather than passively."
  59.
  60. "Speaking thereof- I need to try to resolve this incident."
  61. (Ethric Athelier)
  62. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  63.
  64. [16:12] Ethric Athelier says, "... Hahn."
  65. [16:12] Rosemarin Loire says, "Hah."
  66. [16:12] Rosemarin Loire exclaims, "Hahaha!"
  67. [16:12] A smile had made its way on Zhrani's lips.
  68.
  69. She was glad that he found his answers, and even something that would help him on his goal; she was glad, no matter what stood between them in the moment.
  70.
  71. A nod followed, as if to display these feelings without saying a word.
  72.
  73. And, it'd seem, that there was no time for more words, anyway.
  74. (Zhrani Amunet)
  75. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  76.
  77. [16:13] Zhrani Amunet asks, "... What's so funny, miss?"
  78. [16:13] Rosemarin Loire says, "I'm very happy."
  79. [16:13] Zhrani Amunet says, "Huh?.."
  80. [16:14] Rosemarin Loire says, "That is all there is to it."
  81. [16:14] Zhrani Amunet says, "Alright!.."
  82. [16:14] Zhrani Amunet says, "I'm glad you are happy, miss Loire."
  83. [16:14] Rosemarin Loire says, "As am I."
  84. [16:14] Rosemarin Loire says, "It's rare."
  85. [16:15] "I will see if I can seek her guidance." He said, knowing all too well how difficult it may be to find the ex-Stellus at a time like this. She barely had enough time to answer a few questions; actual lessons would be insane to try and get out of her.
  86.
  87. Still, with the Headmaster satisfied with this answer and Seifer seemingly happy, too, the student gave a few more words.
  88.
  89. "I understand that death is no solution, of course. It should only come when no other avenue are possible, being reserved for... a problem with no solution but to take a life."
  90.
  91. Something that had been taught to him with those questions, too.
  92.
  93. "I.. should find someone to tend to my wounds."
  94. (Seifer Gardios)
