That awkward first time

I couldn’t believe what I was about to do. It had been five years since we made that pact, and it was really going to get fulfilled. Part of me thought that maybe you held out all this time because you secretly wanted me to be your first. For me though, I’d just been too busy with schoolwork, band, track, and all sorts of other extra-curriculars to even bother trying to have a romantic relationship with anyone, or so I told myself. Maybe deep down I did all those things so I could have an excuse to wait so long.

I was honestly surprised you remembered that when we were 16 we made a pact with each other that if we were both still virgins by the time we graduated college, we would take each other’s virginities. It was a silly thing that teenagers do, and I was almost positive you would lose yours within the first year of college. You were nowhere near the Introvert I was. But here we are, after fifteen years as best friends at 21, both still single, both still virgins, and about to do the craziest and most awkward thing either of us has ever done with each other. Part of me wanted to back out, but we made a promise to each other, and I can’t just break a promise with my best friend.

I looked across the table at you, and you seemed a little more confident than I was. I had to hold my coffee with both hands to keep my hands from trembling too much, and I could barely keep eye contact with you for more than a split second. The coffee shop we met at to discuss how to fulfill our little pact was oddly quiet, which made our conversation even more awkward, knowing that people might hear what we were discussing.

“So umm, where do you want to do this?” I asked softly, staring at the table between us. “My place or yours?”

Thank you for reading my prompt! I hope you enjoyed it! I’m in a mood right now to play out an awkward sex scene, particularly a couple’s first time. I like the idea of fulfilling a virginity pact between two best friends. The friends can be a guy and a girl, or two girls. There can be a little romantic interest between them, like they’ve secretly been in love with each other, which is why they’ve both waited so long, or it can simply be two platonic best friends having really awkward sex together. The more awkward, the better. I’m expecting this to turn out pretty humorous too. But nothing is set in stone quite yet, so let’s discuss some different options and a backstory for our characters’ friendship before we get started.

Please be literate and detail oriented. I’m looking for something long term, with quality over quantity in mind. I would much rather prefer a handful of medium-long, well thought out responses in a day over a rapid fire exchange of short responses. I like a slow burn. I need to feel some sort of connection between our characters. Also, as a forewarning, I am not able to write every single day, and I don’t expect you to be available all the time either. I understand real life happens. I write when I can, and I’ll try to keep you informed if I’ll be unavailable for more than a day.
