GPSも効かない、救援に向かおうにも
位置情報を特定できません」
Magbaredge: Radio communications are being jammed all across Shin-awara. We can’t use our GPS either. Even if we were to dispatch a rescue team, we wouldn’t be able to direct them.

「避難民を乗せたフェリーを護衛し、
誘導するのが我々の任務です」
Magbaredge: Our mission is to guard and escort the refugees onboard the ferry.

Inaho: Thanks. ...It’s even easy to follow too.

Calm: It wasn’t that long ago that Inaho asked you for it, was it?

「ふふっ…あたし、こういうの得意なんだ」

Inaho: The energy field that covers the Martian Kataphrakt. Call it a barrier if you want.

Inko: A barrier...

「うん。物質も光も音も電波も、
触れる物全てを吸収するバリア。
でもさ…」
Inaho: Yes. The barrier absorbs absolutely everything that touches it, from matter, to light, to sound, to radio waves. However...

「それなら、あいつはどうやって
こちら側を見てるんだろう」
Inaho: That begs the question of how he can see anything from the outside world.

Calm: Huh?

伊奈帆
「外からの情報を全部バリアで遮断してるんだよ。
もしかしたら、あいつはバリア越しにこっちを
見ることも聞くこともできないのかも」
Inaho: The barrier completely isolates him from all outside knowledge. I don’t think he can see or hear anything from our side of the barrier.

Inko: But then how do his attacks hit us?

Calm: For real. How can he fight if he can’t see what he’s aiming at?

「あいつは僕たちがトンネルに入った途端、
追跡を止めた」
Inaho: As soon as we got into the tunnel, he stopped his pursuit.

「あのトンネルは長くて、途中で分岐している上に
作業坑があった。僕らはそこに入ったおかげで
逃げられたけど…」
Inaho: That tunnel was long, with a split path in the middle and a work pit. We rushed inside to escape, but...

Inaho: That wasn’t the only reason.

Calm: What, like because his body won’t fit inside the tunnel?

「そう。バリアの外側を見ていたのは、あいつじゃない。
視界を確保するため、おそらく上空に別のカメラを
用意してるんだと思う」
Inaho: Right. He’s not looking outside of the barrier himself. Rather, he must have something like a camera in the sky overhead to give him a field of vision.

「だから、あいつはトンネルに入るのを嫌がった。
バリアを張りながら、前を見ることができないからだ」
Inaho: That’s why he was hesitant to follow us into the tunnel. With his barrier up, he can’t see ahead of him.

カーム
「なるほどな…
逆に言えば、こうして屋根の下にいる限りは
安全ってわけだ」
Calm: I see now... It also means we’re safe so long as we stay undercover like this.

で、火星カタフラクトが出て来たら、
僕とユニスが煙幕弾を撃つ」
Inaho: I’ll explain that later. So, when the Martian Kataphrakt appears, Eunice and I will begin by firing smoke rounds at it.

その後、湖の橋の上まで誘き出す」
Inaho: That should slow him down temporarily. The next step will be to lure him out onto the bridge.

カームは絶賛睡眠中だけどね」
Inko: I was having a hard time sleeping. Calm is out like a light, though.

「風邪ひかなきゃいいけど」
Inaho: Hope he doesn’t catch a cold.

韻子

Inko: Hehe.

明日、死んじゃうかもしれないのに」

(Scene begins on the map screen of lake’s edge, with a bridge going across. Inaho, Eunice, and two armored cars are on the map.)

「ここが目的地だ」
Inaho: This is the designated spot.

(The camera shows the bridge.)

ユニス
「あれが橋ね」
Eunice: There’s the bridge.

伊奈帆
「あの火星カタフラクトは飛行できない。
だから、湖まで誘い出せば、
橋の上へ行く可能性が高い」
Inaho: The Martian Kataphakt is incapable of flight. Therefore if we lure it over to the lake, there’s a high probability it’ll step onto the bridge.

ユニス
「簡単に乗ってくれるかな?」
Eunice: You really think it’ll be that easy?

伊奈帆
「逆上させたらね」
Inaho: If we make him lose his cool.

ユニス
「そうするには、あいつの攻撃を
避け続けなきゃならないのよね…」
Eunice: And to do that, we’ll have to keep avoiding his attacks...

カーム
「それを可能にするのが、
フェノメナーじゃねえのかよ?」
Calm: A Phenomena should be able to pull it off, right?

「そうね…前向きに考えなきゃ」
Eunice: Should, yeah... Just gotta think positive about this.

Inaho: They know our position. That means the Martian Kataphrakt will be here soon.

Eunice: We gotta take ‘em down fast!

Inaho: Commence operation.

Calm: Guess we won the warm-up match.

Eunice: Yeah, but we’re playing for real after this.

Rayet: Hey... Do you really know how to shoot that?

Seylum: I believe I do.

ライエ
「セーフティを外す、構える、撃つ。
簡単でしょ?」
Rayet: Release the safety, brace yourself, and fire. Easy, right?

Seylum: Yes...

ユニス
「この反応は!」
Eunice: We’ve got its reading!

「みんな、本命が来た」
Inaho: The boss is here, everyone.

(Slaine appears on the map.)

「スレイン、陸地に降ろせ」
Trillram: Slaine, lower me onto land.

スレイン

Slaine: Yes, sir.

(Slaine moves to land. Trillram appears in his mech beside him.)

カーム
「出たな、ダンゴ虫!」
Calm: There’s that dung beetle!

トリルラン
「フフフ…片を付けるぞ」
Trillram: Hahaha... Time to clean house.

(Next scene begins immediately after. Aiai’s have appeared beside Slaine and Trillram.)

Inaho: Everyone, use the smoke rounds.

Calm: Got it!

Seylum: Release the safety, brace myself...!

「いい、上に向けて撃つのよ!」
Rayet: Yeah, then just aim and fire!

見つけたぞ、ネズミめ!」
Trillram: Ah-ha! There you are, little rat!

(Smoke rounds detonate all around Trillram.)

Calm: He stopped moving!

「伊奈帆の言った通り!」
Inko: Inaho was right!

Slaine: Sir Trillram, what’s wrong!?

(Battle 2 begins. Trillram will not move and only attacks enemies near.)

(This exchange triggers when either Slaine is reduced to 50% HP or all Aiais are defeated.)

Trillram: Tch, I have to get rid of that [Kataphrakt] first!

「伊奈帆とユニスが苦戦してる!
あたしたちで火星カタフラクトを誘導するよ!」
Rayet: Inaho and Eunice are struggling! We need to lead the Martian Kataphrakt ourselves!

セラム
「ええ!」
Seylum: Right!

(Rayet’s car begins moving.)

伊奈帆

「ライエの車が!」
Eunice: That’s Rayet’s car!

「トリルラン卿、装甲車が移動しました!
位置を転送します!」
Slaine: Sir Trillram, one of the armored cars is moving! I’m forwarding its position!

Trillram: In that case!

(Trillram moves towards Rayet’s car.)

Rayet: Aah!

Trillram: You’ve given me quite a lot of trouble!

(Rayet is supposed to be saying the above line, but the game shows the wrong character for it.)

Trillram: Die!

Manned humanoid weapons used by both the Earth and Mars’s Vers Empire.
They were first developed by the Vers Empire, when reforming planetary work robots into weapons.
There is a great difference in performance between Earth’s and Mars’s Kataphraktos, due to Martian Kataphraktos being equipped with Aldnoah Drives, which enables just 1 machine to be powerful enough to sway the flow of battle.
