  1. Female-only tournaments are, in my opinion, a decent attempt at trying to help women feel more visible in gaming. Do I think its the **best** way to do it? No, I don't. How do I think female-only tournaments should be done? I don't think they should be done competitively at all. I honestly believe most of the backlash from the idea of a female-only tournament stems from the idea that people aren't being included or have an opportunity to win something; the same issues that come from invitation-only events are the same issues that arise in female-only tournaments. I don't want to get into why its wrong, but I will say that just because it doesn't feel demeaning to me. Winning a tournament is winning a tournament. To take a win away from someone who beat several others in a gauntlet isn't right; they earned the win and you have to respect that.
