  1. [02:24] Denier took a slow, shallow breath, speaking in a rather calm note, off his normal monotone.
  2.
  3. "Roanna.. I know you mean well with bringing them back that they might live a full life.. I know you mean well in bringing them back to experience things that they could not.. but you have seen their states as they are, so empty like myself when I was young. Lacking much understanding, emotion and much of any true semblance of humanity.. I know you aim to bring necromancy to new heights, or perhaps the heights of old.. But the children are not quite.. what you were ready to take on."
  4.
  5. He places a hand over his chest.
  6.
  7. "I know what it means to be empty, the pain and the suffering that borders death so young. But I must ask you, not demand it of you..
  8.
  9. Release the children from their bindings and allow them to rest. Not because you are not good at what you do, Roanna.. but because they deserve to cycle back into the life stream and be born children again. So that you can grow as a necromancer into something better. Your heart is in the right place, but your method does need.. refining.. If you did such because you wanted children, Roanna.. you should have spoken with your wife and sought adoption, or surrogating. Or if it is possible, create life entirely that the souls of the children you seek to give a full life can inhabit it instead of corpses that will.. tear at themselves eternally youthful and empty seeking freedom.. Please, Roanna."
  10. (Denier Nevus)
  11. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  12.
  13. [02:24] Nate Kreed says, "I'm blind you asshole. "
  14. [02:24] Wallis whispers something.
  15. [02:24] Gray Rosenkreuz says, "Who told this people I want to be dead."
  16. [02:24] Syracuse Fengari says, "Well, that's nice."
  17. [02:24] Wallis whispers something.
  18. [02:25] Calael took a step forward, his body brimming with the starlight that Roanna had so easily dismissed and forgotten about. He stood beside his younger brother with his own wings spread out from his back as far as the little things could stretch, their feathers occasionally flaring with holy fire that betrayed his control over a bubbling irritation he was tackling inside.
  19.
  20. "You asked them... in the afterlife, you mean you asked frightened children who did not know what was going on whether they wished to return to this world? Did you expect them to say no?" Each word had a chosen control to it, a select, specified, direction to it as to not allow the negative flow of emotions within.
  21.
  22. "You have harmed them even so, you have rejected the natural course of theirsouls. You have created children who are bound to you, who must cling to you to avoid rot, to avoid decay. With each progression you say they are a step closer to 'human', when you could have simply allowed them to pass on and they would be human again.
  23.
  24. This is... this is abominable. It is monstrous.
  25.
  26. It is as vile and selfish as any undead horde of soldiers, though at least the soldiers know they're suffering."
  27. (Calael Elisheva)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [02:25] Perseus Kang exclaims, "All right! Perseus opinion, resident undead checking in!"
  31. [02:26] Alvi Slade says, "I feel like a very big hypocrite right now, but I don't care."
  32. [02:28] Ethan Hawke whispers something.
  33. [02:29] Shen whispers something.
  34. [02:29] Freya could not believe her ears. Gray was as alive as anyone else she knew. He had feelings, emotions, and could laugh just the same as she did.
  35.
  36. These people wanted to kill a child just because they thought it was wrong, because it was different.
  37.
  38. It was deplorable.
  39.
  40. "How could you say any of that? What right do you have to take him away? Gray has feeling just like the rest of us- maybe even more! I've seen him love, and I've seen him cry! What you call an "Abomination" feels the same way as everyone in this mob!"
  41.
  42. Her Rieka was showing, just a little bit. She wasn't very calm. How could they want to take away one of her friends?
  43. (Freya Vishkar)
  44. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  45.
  46. [02:31] Eztli whispers something.
  47. [02:32] Perseus takes a step forth, declaring his ultimate Undead Take.
  48.
  49. "Children are born incapable of making decisions for themselves. It is only through time that they grow less so."
  50.
  51. He aims to position himself just to the side of Sera and Roanna, his expression holding within it a great deal of discomfort. Just sort of, face scrunched up and a little spooked maybe even??
  52.
  53. "I do not believe that the consent of children, in this case, can be taken as consent. I know that they would disagree, and I do not endorse any attempts to directly end their unlives -
  54.
  55. but the pain of undeath, of denying them the peace that death DOES bring - and I say that as someone who FELT that end, who KNOWS it as well as any -
  56.
  57. you have brought them into a life that they could never have properly understood. You have visited upon them great pain, great torture, and not all of it physical or spiritual. The life of an undead is not often a pleasant thing, and death is likely preferable in many cases, despite all attempts to argue the contrary."
  58.
  59. but growing less and less emotionally reactive as he speaks. Sticking to what he sees as objective.
  60.
  61. "So, yes.
  62.
  63. The children are pitiable. All should feel bad for them. Especially you. I will not end their lives, and I will not allow anyone to do so within these borders."
  64.
  65. He scans the crowd after that declaration, as if to head off any attempts.
  66.
  67. "But.
  68.
  69. Know that you are disguising an evil as a good to make yourself feel better about what you have done. It is a self-delusion. So long as we are discussing this, I mean."
  70. (Perseus Kang)
  71. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  72.
  73. [02:34] Nate would grit his teeth and flare his aura in anger. Those present with the opinion that they should cease to exist on this plane really ticked him off.
  74.
  75. "It is their desire to live out what life they were given back! And as a conscious mind of our times it is most plausible that even though they are of the undead that they can still be a Boon to the progression of our modern times. Every mind counts!" He argued.
  76. (Nate Kreed)
  77. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  78.
  79. [02:35] Syracuse gave a soft whistle as he saw what was going on. He'd simply take a deep breath, ah that was the taste of raw mana in the air from angry individuals. Never one to miss out on a spot of excitement he'd simply open up his mana circuitry, the jewel safely stored near his liver doing its work.
  80.
  81. The mana leech oh so calmly walked up, beside Gray. He'd reach back and unclip the hefty ax from it's strap, sliding it forward to rest the bits on his shoulder. Looking through the crowd, he then cast a glance at Gray. Offering the kid a comforting thumbs up.
  82.
  83. He'd keep an eye on Persues as the undead spoke. He'd ponder it a bit, a lot of it made sense. However, there was something wrong in Syracuse's eyes with the logic. Namely children would have to be brought back to enjoy in the grand Utopia that would come.
  84.
  85. So, he'd not speak, what he would do howver was stand near the undead that was the focal point of the issue andstand behind in a good spot that if it came to it. He could launch his ax forward into one of the Krausite's backs.
  86.
  87. This thought brought a smile to the Nerie's face. In fact the more he thought about it the more disappointed that Perseus had showed up to difused the potential riot.
  88. (Syracuse Fengari)
  89. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  90.
  91. [02:37] Mikhaila thinks about putting her hand through shen
  92. (Mikhaila Elisheva)
  93. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  94.
  95. [02:37] On any other day, Roanna might have smirked or otherwise intentionally provoked the people before her. This was... something even she had to take seriously. Not out of fear or danger, but merely out of understanding the gravity of the situation.
  96.
  97. "I utterly and entirely rebuke you and your demands, Sera. I will not murder my own children for you, and I'm disgusted that you think I ever would accept such a course."
  98.
  99. Her tone was dire to say the least. Not dripping with venom or malice, but frigid and displeased anger. Her heart pounded in her chest loudly.
  100.
  101. "Your Archangel Kraus rebelled from his Creator to build a better world for his Angels. Then he created us, frail and pitiable in our weakness.
  102.
  103. You claim it to be 'unnatural' for us to be immortal as your forebears? I agree. I just don't care for the rules set up by a hypocritical and flawed God.
  104.
  105. I will see the rules of nature usurped and when that happens true paradise will be in reach. One free of the suffering you attempt to shackle us to. Are the undead perfect? No. No because they're not meant to exist in your system."
  106.
  107. She grinned harshly at those around her who charged her with such crimes. Those who denied her that which she saw as her birthright.
  108.
  109. "I'm going to paraphrase a friend of mine. I think he put it best himself...
  110.
  111. You think you're winning, when we're not even playing the same game.
  112.
  113. Call me evil. Call me a monster because I break the rules of the game set up by an uncaring God. When we win, we shall be fair and offer you an equal place in the new world free of the evils you label us with."
  114.
  115. With her speech finished, she took a step back, smiling placidly.
  116. (Roanna Rosenkreuz)
  117. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  118.
  119. [02:38] Perseus Kang says, "Okay, so."
  120. [02:38] Perseus Kang says, "See, you think you're winning, but."
  121. [02:38] Perseus Kang says, "I'm not playing your game, either."
  122. [02:38] Perseus Kang says, "So. Same page, I think."
  123. [02:38] Perseus Kang says, "Thanks."
  124. [02:38] Isabel says, "Whew."
  125. [02:39] Gray Rosenkreuz says, "Perseus, for someone that is Undead like me.. I expected your support."
  126. [02:39] Perseus Kang says, "I mean."
  127. [02:39] Gray Rosenkreuz says, "Being dead is shit."
  128. [02:39] Perseus Kang asks, "Did I NOT support you?"
  129. [02:39] Perseus Kang says, "Yeah."
  130. [02:39] Perseus Kang says, "Being dead is shit."
  131. [02:39] Perseus Kang says, "Dead people don't stay dead."
  132. [02:39] Perseus Kang says, "You do."
  133. [02:39] Gray Rosenkreuz says, "I like being undead."
  134. [02:39] Renegin Billard says, "Did you seriously just use that quite, Roanna....maybe ah should change sides here."
  135. [02:40] Ethan taps Shen on the back, encouraging him to speak up.
  136.
  137. Except his hand goes through the spirit. Heck.
  138. (Ethan Hawke)
  139. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  140.
  141. [02:40] Freya Vishkar asks, "So what's that thing, back there?"
  142. [02:40] Perseus Kang says, "So, for the record - undead children? FULLY in support of your right to try to hang onto your lives, right now. What's done is done."
  143. [02:40] Salvas Voss says, "Oh- We are listening to the zealous opinions of children born of the divine again - I like that they are not too radical however... atleast they arn't just outright bloody murder.. someone has to be reasonable..."
  144. [02:40] Perseus Kang says, "But no, you shouldn't have been raised to begin with. You cannot begin to understand what you are going through, currently."
  145. [02:40] Shen says, "If she wanted those children to have peace, she would have practiced spiritmancy instead of necromancy."
  146. [02:40] Coirnav says, "I'm a Sirenian."
  147. [02:40] Isabel ponders what it's like to be in the year 2530AC like Rosanna...
  148. (Isabel)
  149. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  150.
  151. [02:40] Wallis says, "I'm human."
  152. [02:40] Wallis says, "For the record."
  153. [02:40] Gray Rosenkreuz asks, "And being whatever you are?"
  154. [02:40] Kairi exclaims, "So am I!"
  155. [02:41] Freya Vishkar asks, "So it would have been better to have been a ghost than a corpse?"
  156. [02:41] Perseus Kang exclaims, "Changing it!"
  157. [02:41] Kairi says, "Sirenian. I'm also sirenian."
  158. [02:41] Perseus Kang says, "Improving it."
  159. [02:41] Perseus Kang says, "Thanks, Syracuse. Much appreciated. I can really feel the difference already."
  160. [02:41] Salvas Voss says, "You people are absurd- you live at two diffrent parts of agaratha and expect to grow up with the same teachings.."
  161. [02:41] Syracuse Fengari says, "No problem big man."
  162. [02:41] Salvas Voss says, "You are only given the teachins of thoes before you.."
  163. [02:41] Mikhaila Elisheva whispers something.
  164. [02:41] Salvas Voss says, "and from that being where you are born.."
  165. [02:41] Alvi glances at Perseus, giving him a small nod and the faint ghost of a smile. They weren't sure if they had heard their own opinion on the matter, but he managed to voice it better and far more eloquently than they ever could.
  166. (Alvi Slade)
  167. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  168.
  169. [02:41] Made an OK sign with his hand.
  170. (Syracuse Fengari)
  171. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  172.
  173. [02:41] Freya Vishkar asks, "Why don't you have that spirit in the back and send him to rest? Isn't it unnatural to prolong the life of the dead?"
  174. [02:41] Salvas Voss says, "Differs."
  175. [02:41] Alvi Slade whispers something.
  176. [02:41] Alvi Slade whispers something.
  177. [02:41] Noel Elisheva whispers something.
  178. [02:41] Perseus Kang says, "Well, I mean, the spirit is clearly not alive."
  179. [02:41] Perseus Kang says, "That's how spirits work."
  180. [02:42] Freya Vishkar says, "But why is it /here/? "
  181. [02:42] Shen says, "I can't imagine being a ghost is any worse than being a corpse. I have business to settle, and I'm not dragging everyone else down while I'm doing it."
  182. [02:42] Perseus Kang says, "It's not even him."
  183. [02:42] Perseus Kang says, "It's a piece of him."
  184. [02:42] Perseus Kang says, "He's dead. This is what remains. That is all."
  185. [02:42] Syracuse Fengari says, "Eh, leave the ghost alone. It can chill like the rest of us."
  186. [02:42] Ethan Hawke says, "To be honest, I don't even think it's the same piece of him that was there when he was brought back."
  187. [02:43] Freya Vishkar whispers something.
  188. [02:43] Shen asks, "What do you mean?"
  189. [02:43] Kairi says, "...I think I need to ask Miss Ohtli about spiritmancy, actually. It seems interesting."
  190. [02:43] Nate Kreed whispers something.
  191. [02:43] Perseus Kang says, "Your soul is gone, friend. You are not a complete person, currently."
  192. [02:43] Syracuse did squint back towards the ghost though, idly curious what a ghosts mana tasted like. He bet it was like diet mana, probably slimming even. He'd heft the AXE a bit as he looked over the heads of the smaller humans.
  193. (Syracuse Fengari)
  194. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  195.
  196. [02:44] Freya Vishkar says, "So it's fine if the person you are brining back alive doesn't have a body, but if it does, it's suddenly evil? "
  197. [02:44] Shen says, "I meant what Ethan said. I know I'm not myself. Unstable."
  198. [02:44] She had no remorse in actions which could only be described as sickening, lies spoken to children all who now walked upon these lands once more. His soul practically shattering as those pale blue eyes shot back, such a sensation of rot so minor that even those blessed and divine could hardly hope to feel such a sensation.
  199.
  200. "I... I'm so sorry for you. You are gray, yes? I... You won't exist in turmoil, I promise that." His words sounding more hurt than anything else as those winds continued to build. Shaking his head from side to side a hand would push from beneath his cloak, one such finger pointed back towards this woman.
  201.
  202. "I won't... I won't stand by as you commit such monstrous acts. I won't allow you to have no remorse for your actions."
  203.
  204. The voice of such a child followed by another rush of winds, pale blue eyes looking upon such a woman without remorse.
  205.
  206. "I challenge you to an honor duel. In victory, you will never revive another being again. You will free all your undead, except those children you so foolishly revived."
  207. (Sera Elisheva)
  208. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  209.
  210. [02:45] Whisper says, "Don't talk like your his friend..."
  211. [02:45] Whisper says, "Bitch.."
  212. [02:45] Nate Kreed exclaims, "I believe the angels are just afraid of others raising their own armies to revolt against them!"
  213. [02:46] Shen says, "Language."
  214. [02:46] Ethan looked up to his floating, deceased spirit friend.
  215.
  216. "You went through the lifestream with me. Chances are that the mana your body had to feed back into it to keep it stable was all that you were, and that you just arrived to your destination as a different piece of yourself."
  217.
  218. At this point he wasn't even too sure about that one. It was all a theory, but one that seemed to make enough sense.
  219.
  220. "The spirit realm practically latches onto you. You're probably just... Another bit of mana that was shaped in a very Shen-like way."
  221. (Ethan Hawke)
  222. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  223.
  224. [02:47] Freya Vishkar says, "Oh? So he's in pain? Then send him back. "
  225. [02:47] Everyone else was busy. Distracted. It was fine. It'd be fine. They'd handle that. The kid told themself that, an excuse if anything, to not face it head-on. A similar situation, but not quite the same. Still the thoughts clogged their mind just as tears blurred their vision.
  226.
  227. They sat, out of the way, out of plain sight. Their knees, hugged close to their chest. Their head down. Deep breaths. They did their best to listen and understand, but remained otherwise motionless. Near silent. Entirely still, and out of the way.
  228.
  229. Better still if the lot of them left to the fields. If the honor duel was accepted. Then, at least, no more might be made should Sera win. And oh the kid hoped he would. They could never be sure.
  230. (Kirsi モ Cn疂mh匤)
  231. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  232.
  233. [02:47] Cal's demeanor seemed to ease up at Perseus' input, but as Roanna continued speaking, he found himself clenching his fists in order to keep himself calm once again. He would not turn to any other undead standing in Crafthold, if not only for the laws of the city but for the fact that he would not attack an undead without first understanding its thoughts, its feelings. He knew that tethered undead were victims, and victims were fragile people needing of understanding and care, not the sharpened edge of a sword or a holy beam through an unbeating heart.
  234.
  235. "This is not a game." He frowned. "To believe we are trying to win anything is to turn the life of the children you have enslaved into your selfish desire for acceptance and attention into a trivial activity at best. It's ugly to even SAY something likethat, we are discussing LIVES here, real LIVES and real PEOPLE and all you can say is a smug comment on how you intend to win some greater competition?"
  236.
  237. Cal's face had turned into utter disgust at this point, he had heard and seen enough of this woman to know her mind would not be turned. She was poisoned to the core, bewitched by Azrael.
  238.
  239. "We are created to experience life, to live and love and feel, aspects of life that undead find so challenging and hollow, aspects of life that we all deserve that you have so greedily revoked from children.
  240.
  241. You are a horrid woman with horrid intentions. I pray someday you are caused to feel an inkling of the pain you've wrought on other human people, if just so that you will fall to your knees filled with regret and ask for forgiveness."
  242.
  243. Cal looked to his brother as the honor duel was proposed. The cosmic demiangel had said his piece, and the power of his star that was still thrumming through him was the only thing mediating his mortal emotions at this point.
  244. (Calael Elisheva)
  245. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  246.
  247. [02:47] Ethan Hawke asks, "Pain?"
  248. [02:47] Ethan Hawke says, "Riding the lifestream isn't painful at all."
  249. [02:47] Freya Vishkar says, "You said he's unstable. "
  250. [02:48] Shen looked down at Ethan from his position in the air. The ghost stared blankly, rubbing the back of his incorporeal neck. Even in his life, Shen wasn't very bright. He may have spoke eloquently, but he was pretty hardheaded when it came to anything but fighting. That, and his encyclopedic knowledge of the Emperor's edicts.
  251.
  252. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
  253. (Shen)
  254. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  255.
  256. [02:48] The eldest Elisheva boy stands between his siblings and Alvi, both hands tucked calmly away in his pocket. He was Empathy. Understanding. Before any talks of killing or fighting or bloodshed would even come up, he would listen to both sides - or every side, in this case.
  257.
  258. The majority of them seemed to be on the same page about the revival of children against their will. About Roanna's thought process being flawed and corrupt. But unlike the others, he doesn't bother speaking up just yet.
  259.
  260. He might not need to at all - though, his youngest sibling's words catch him off-guard slightly. An honor duel in the city of Crafthold, with the conditions being that Roanna give up all of her life's work if she loses. Unlikely but bold.
  261.
  262. Noel spends a few moments exchanging words with Alvi but remains calm otherwise, reddish-brown eyes scanning the crowd over from time to time. He even looks to Perseus to see if the honor duel would be allowed!
  263.
  264. "Wow."
  265. (Noel Elisheva)
  266. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  267.
  268. [02:48] Wallis says, "I think the entire SITUATION is a little unstable."
  269. [02:48] Ethan Hawke says, "I never said that."
  270. [02:49] Shen says, "It's not painful. By unstable, I meant that I didn't have my memories. But, I've slowly been understanding who I am."
  271. [02:49] Standing among the denizens there and baring witness to everything that was circulating around, the girl's golden eyes would move from person to person as they continued to speak. One of her hands rubs against her cheek, giving a squish as she hears the talk of yet another challenge on the rise.
  272.
  273. Would she deny it like the green haired boy did? Or was it going to actually pan out? She couldn't help the brimming bits of anticipation that blossomed to life inside of her mind. Along with such a feeling, various little scales began to patch along her skin as if egged on by the emotions in the moment.
  274.
  275. Still, though, she was just a nuisance to anything else here. Keeping her mouth shut when she did not have a single informed opinion seemed like her best option.
  276. (Isabel)
  277. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  278.
  279. [02:49] Ethan Hawke says, "The only stability I'm talking about is the lifestream's."
  280. [02:49] Kairi asks, "Hi! What's your name?"
  281. [02:49] Wallis says, "I think this is the third demand for an honor duel in a day."
  282. [02:49] Ethan Hawke says, "We've met before, Kairi."
  283. [02:49] Shen says, "The only thing that's painful is being in places like this, I suppose. Where the.. lifestream as he called it, is damaged."
  284. [02:49] Kairi asks, "...have we?"
  285. [02:49] Kairi says, "...s-sorry."
  286. [02:49] Ethan Hawke says, "Yes."
  287. [02:50] Shen says, "I only came here to find Ohtli, but it seems she isn't around."
  288. [02:50] Kairi says, "...OH."
  289. [02:50] Kairi says, "Right. When Alastor beat Ashera."
  290. [02:50] Kairi says, "S-sorry."
  291. [02:50] Ethan Hawke says, "Before that."
  292. [02:51] Kairi asks, "...really?"
  293. [02:51] Renegin took in a deep breath, shaking his head as he stood in-front of Roanna with a hard gaze. He'd just cross his arms and stare, the dis-taste apparent in his body language.
  294.
  295. "Too fuckin judgemental, all of ye. Its questionable...aye. But yer fuckin treating it like tha end of tha island. Like this child is gonna somehow fuckin explode an kill everyone an everything. Have yer damned fucking opinions aye?
  296.
  297. But don't go trying tah force her tah re-kill people she's brought back in an attempt tah save. The intensions were good, and even if it aint right this shite doesn't affect ye. It aint yer problem, angek-folk.
  298.
  299. As fer those undead here sayin shite about this, and Roanna's friends.
  300.
  301. Fuck. Ye."
  302.
  303. His jaw tensed as he just glared at each of the people judging Roanna, especially those hypocrites out there.
  304.
  305. "No honor duelis happenin, as its just completely un-fair. She's ah crafter not ah fighter...and there's no way im fightin ye over somethin so serious tah her. End it and leave if ye don't like it. Please."
  306.
  307. And now, he stood silent and stoic.
  308. (Renegin Billard)
  309. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  310.
  311. [02:51] Ethan Hawke says, "I gave you a message to give to Anna."
  312. [02:51] Kairi says, "...OH."
  313. [02:51] Kairi says, "RIGHT."
  314. [02:51] Kairi says, "I forgot that happened."
  315. [02:51] Freya Vishkar whispers something.
  316. [02:51] Alvi Slade says, "You can fight in her stead if she accepts, Renegin."
  317. [02:51] Kairi says, "...sorry again."
  318. [02:52] Freya Vishkar whispers something.
  319. [02:52] Looked back at Whisper, he'd give them a long look. What a mouth on them, amazing. Though he'd mostly not draw attention to the child, it was for the best. He'd simply look over the heads of the angels at Roanna.
  320.
  321. Though he believed that she didn't have the right to accept such an honor duel. Her talent's being the property of the Dreamer and the Utopia that was promised to come. He'd keep that opinion to himself.
  322.
  323. He'd scratch his chin, as he looked forward at Caleal directly in front of him, then look over towards the other one, Sera maybe? He had no clue. Having only heard the name's in passing. What aggressive little chicken-people. With a frown he thought about how much of a pain they'd be when they grew up.
  324.
  325. Though the frown lasted but half a moment, after-all though they'd be a pain it'd make things exciting. So, he'd return his cocky smirk to his countenance. He'd look aroundonce more, curious about the reaction to the honor duel challenge. He'd assume most would be biting at the chance to see some blood.
  326. (Syracuse Fengari)
  327. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  328.
  329. [02:52] Whisper says, "Not much 'honor' in that duel."
  330. [02:52] Perseus Kang asks, "... have you considered that the people who have actually died might know more about what they're talking about when it comes to the actual experience of undeath?"
  331. [02:52] Whisper exclaims, "Let me beat up someone who isint made to fight!"
  332. [02:52] Kairi exclaims, "...I now remember your name!"
  333. [02:52] Perseus Kang says, "I feel as if you are misconstruing my position here."
  334. [02:52] Whisper says, "Im so honorable..."
  335. [02:52] Kairi exclaims, "Hi Ethan!"
  336. [02:52] Wallis says, "I feel a little bit dead -inside-."
  337. [02:52] Sera Elisheva asks, "I- Who, Perseus?"
  338. [02:52] Sera Elisheva asks, "Us?"
  339. [02:52] Perseus Kang says, "No, no -"
  340. [02:52] Perseus Kang exclaims, "This guy!"
  341. [02:52] With a wince Eztli broke from the crowd, trying to snake through towards the one other person he really kinda knew in this swarm of folks, standing ahead of Kevin and offering them a hand up.
  342.
  343. "... Geh... II dunno what's goin' on and you don't look good. We should leave before somebody blows somethin' up." he said, trying to keep his tone down in the crowd.
  344.
  345. As much as he wanted to see a fight, he didn't want the squishy person getting blown up in it if it happened.
  346. (Eztli)
  347. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  348.
  349. [02:53] Sera Elisheva says, "Oh."
  350. [02:53] Ethan Hawke says, "Hi."
  351. [02:53] Perseus Kang says, "Like, okay, let me be absolutely clear."
  352. [02:53] Kairi asks, "Can you tell me about the lifestream?"
  353. [02:53] Perseus Kang says, "Being a child forever sounds like HELL."
  354. [02:53] Kairi asks, "...maybe not right now, but. At some point?"
  355. [02:53] Ethan Hawke says, "Sure."
  356. [02:53] Perseus Kang says, "Actual, genuine, hell. That's not an opinion I'm going to keep to myself."
  357. [02:53] Kairi says, "You sound like you know a lot about it."
  358. [02:53] Kairi exclaims, "Yay! Thank you!"
  359. [02:53] The challenge from the Angel was... downright hilarious. Her previous stoic demeanor crumbled instantly in a burst of laughter. It was raucous and seemingly unending. It would carry out over the square.
  360.
  361. It carried on so long and loudly she ran out of breath. She fell to her knees in absolute breathlessness. She takes a few minutes of quiet tittering to bring herself up back to her feet.
  362.
  363. "By the D-Dreamer, heheh Oh goodness I haven't laughed that hard in a long while.
  364.
  365. Heheheh
  366.
  367. Goodness No of course not."
  368.
  369. She brings a hand to her face, wiping away tears in her eyes from how hard she'd been laughing. Despite the seriousness and gravity of the situation, the entire set-up was just too damn funny not to fall to laughter.
  370.
  371. "I utterly and completely refuse. I've heard how damn strong you are. I'm not going to fight a battle I can't win.
  372.
  373. Do not concern yourself, Rene. There will be no 'honor' duel unless he wants to stab a woman in the back."
  374. (Roanna Rosenkreuz)
