disagreement

Something that has really been frustrating me lately is the mentality of others towards logic. As an extremely logical realist, I find that almost any time I have a disagreement with someone, I will state why I have my opinion, and they'll tell me that they believe I'm wrong. In that order. Just like that. The problem is that nobody ever gives half a shit about the disagreement, they care about the argument. And they will fight to be right. I will be correct, but they want so desperately for me to give in regardless of the topic. And that's annoying. It pisses me off a lot. It makes me genuinely hate humanity as a whole. There are so few people excluded from this that I find my closest friends making me actually want to die when I talk to them. It's infuriating. I'm writing this pastebin for no reason, I'm not trying to spread a message, there isn't awareness to be raised. I just want to describe part of why I act the way I do.

I'm an asshole, and people keep saying it. But if that's all you have to say at the end of an argument where all of your points were flawed and you made them in an attempt to beat me, then saying "there's more to life than being right" makes you the asshole. Yet I'm the one who will admit it.
