  3. HeyJack: But it is happening with some people on the server
  4. Lord Trilobite: Ive heard of this error before
  5. Lord Trilobite: Im not entirely sure what causes it
  6. Lord Trilobite: when looking online, it seems some say it's a map based error
  7. Lord Trilobite: some say it's an engine error
  8. Lord Trilobite: To be sure, try verifying your game cache first and see if that fixes it
  9. Lord Trilobite: so the thing is.
  10. Lord Trilobite: it's a very, very large map
  11. Lord Trilobite: and people keep wanting me to add more, and more stuff
  12. Lord Trilobite: which means eventually something breaks the limits
  13. Lord Trilobite: of the engine
  14. Lord Trilobite: and I cant keep optimising it indefinitely
  15. Lord Trilobite: but for the next update I will see what I can do
  16. Lord Trilobite: In the mean time. fixing your Gmod game cache
  17. Lord Trilobite: and redownloading the map might work

  19. Lord Trilobite: this one here says that it's a corrupt download problem. which means the problem lies with the workshop
  20. Lord Trilobite: And I know the workshop has bugged before.

  26. Lord Trilobite: you tried both the redownload and verify game cache?
  27. HeyJack: yeah redownloaded it multipule times and verifyed and nope still not working and its not just for me its for most of the server and the devs have redownloaded the map serverside and nope

  29. Lord Trilobite: Im sorry but I really cant do anything specific about it
  30. Lord Trilobite: besides possibly trying to optimise the map
  31. HeyJack: yeah it must be something to do with the workshop
  32. Lord Trilobite: it might
  33. Lord Trilobite: it might be worth checking if there arent any weird addons on the server that breaks things
  34. Lord Trilobite: because other servers do not have this problem as far as I know
  35. Lord Trilobite: or possibly too many props have been spawned or something like that
  36. Lord Trilobite: this map is not made for a hundred players like some servers want to use it for

  43. HeyJack: both of the star destroyer ones

  48. Lord Trilobite: since that also includes a star destroyer wreck
  49. HeyJack: jakku i get like 2 ping on i dont know how XD
  50. Lord Trilobite: but does it have that crash?
  51. Lord Trilobite: I ask because it has a lot of stuff I copied over from my standard destroyer map
  52. HeyJack: yeah the teleporter is fine
  53. HeyJack: but its just the standalone ones
  54. Lord Trilobite: so the standard star destroyer and infinite version you mean
  55. HeyJack: yeah

  58. Lord Trilobite: so here's what im thinking
  59. Lord Trilobite: its probably a combination
  60. Lord Trilobite: of something local or serverside
  61. Lord Trilobite: and the fact that the star destroyer map is very complex and near many engine limits
  62. Lord Trilobite: I will do my best to try and optimise it for the next version.

  64. Lord Trilobite: the problem is that everyone keeps bothering me about adding even more features
  65. Lord Trilobite: which means the map will be MORE complex and not less
  66. HeyJack: what stuff do they want?
  67. Lord Trilobite: which, could mean more crashes, but this is all very hypothetical. Because the map is still functional. it doesnt crash on my end

  69. Lord Trilobite: I have posted some stuff on my thread on the workshop
  70. Lord Trilobite: where everyone can follow what will be in the next version
  71. Lord Trilobite: and make suggestions as well
  72. HeyJack: do you have a eta on the new version
  73. Lord Trilobite: so yeah, right now there's not a whole lot I can do, but I will try my best to optimise the new version
  74. Lord Trilobite: I do not do ETAs, but having said that. I do want to release the new version before the end of the year.
  75. Lord Trilobite: emphasis on want, that doesnt mean it will be
  76. HeyJack: ok that will be good in stopping that entity error
  77. Lord Trilobite: hopefully yes. But I really dont know
  78. HeyJack: well lets keep our fingers crossed
  79. Lord Trilobite: if you have any suggestions or more bugs for the map you can post them on the workshop thread
  80. Lord Trilobite: so then I wish you and your community luck with fixing the problem. and I will do my best with the new version as well
