- When Arthur walked in, Mu was busying himself with drawing on the wall. His finger, enhanced by energy, was able to rip through stone like butter. He seemed to be drawing a giant character. The young man turned around, prepared to fend off his last visitors.
- Surprisingly, it was just Arthur.
- "Your people aren't the kindest."
- (Mu Yuchian)
- "I know."
- After walking in, his hands reached behind his back, locking in place. As much as the scarlet gaze of Adjudicator alone held enormous weight of energy behind it due to influence of otherworldly energy he possesses, it didn't look stern or threatening- rather, oozing with compelling power. Something been changing.
- "You're only alive because I tell them that they cannot kill you."
- "It's almost ironical that people view me as brutal tyrant, especially when I'm the one refusing to take life, isn't it?"
- He smirks. His gaze goes to the healed wounds he was bearing, and as such, it's clear that he almost expected Mu to make a reference to these as part of counter-argument to what Arthur said. Nonetheless, he adds.
- "I believe you've had enough time to decide."
- "I also believe that your time is running out... a lot of people grow tense, restless, because the war is rising. Your people aren't making it easy for you, you know... they're doing a lot of things that make my people want to hurt you in return."
- "So I'll ask you this - what is your answer to my previous offer?"
- (Arthur Rowan)
- No matter how amiable Arthur was to Mu, he couldn't help but to pair the man up with his violent subordinates that wanted nothing more than to experiment on him and take away the last embers of his life.
- "Your people are ignoring what you've been saying. They intend to kill me. I still want to send a letter to Leona so I can talk to her. Apart from that, I'm fine with joining you."
- Mu's voice was flat, eyes distant. That much could be expected, however. Mu had been in a cell by his lonesome for eight months! Who wouldn't want to leave after all that time?
- (Mu Yuchian)
- Mu Yuchian says, "I also want my sword."
- "I never said they couldn't hurt you... only that they cannot kill you."
- It may come off as surprise to Mu, but in reality, he should not lose the sight of a simple thing - by all means, he's still a prisoner, an outsider, someone who could die just because he stepped out of the line due to his position.
- "I wanted to show you what happens to prisoners of war. I wanted you to show the rage that was stirred by actions of your high command."
- "I wanted to show you what would happen if any of us were to be captured by Huangzhou. Perhaps, by now, you understand just how much of a mess people will get caught by inbetween."
- "And you're one of them."
- Though, with the mention of a sword, he smiles. It's obvious that he would want his sword back, but-
- "Of course..."
- "You'll have your sword back very soon. You see... we're raiding Cruxati for all that they had done to us. We're going to put a stop to their aggression."
- "And if you're so keen on joining, just as you said now... you will need to fight against them. It might be in your best interest to perform as good as you can."
- "I do not look kindly upon cheaters or defeat."
- (Arthur Rowan)
- Mu glanced down at his body. His actions seemed slow and pained. Even with Arthur's treatment, it wasn't enough to deal with his real injuries.
- "I'm not in any state to fight. Your people have inflicted far too much damage on me. See for yourself."
- Energy magic was, in some ways, the extension of someone's vitality. Energy was raw power. Mu unleashed his aura at full strength, allowing the ethereal wisps of coalesce around him. While it was still fairly powerful, it was considerably weaker than the fight he fought against Arthur's underling.
- While circulating his mana, Mu winced in pain. He had damage to his mana circuits in his chest and right arm, making circulating his mana near impossible!
- (Mu Yuchian)
- These wounds were quite significant, unfortunately.
- Though, they could be fixed yet, provided someone would be able to retrieve enough materials in time. There is still time before they would venture out to fight against Cruxati, and while this time Mu might have to abstain, there are still many other opportunities for him to fight.
- "Mm."
- "You'll have to find a medic to treat you, then. I'm sure there are plenty of kits laying about too, so you could get that done."
- "Though, while you may not participate in the following raid, there is still ongoing war that I expect you to assist me in. After all, there's not that much of a use from you if you do not aid us with anything at all."
- "And... it's in your best interest to ensure that I view you as useful."
- He walks, opening the cell door- though, the collar remains upon Mu's neck, after which he exclaims.
- "You will remain in city. You can also write up a letter for Leona - but before it's sent, I want to see it."
- "Be mindful of what information you include."
- (Arthur Rowan)
- Usually, when the door opened, it was accompanied by the sadistic laughter of those entering or the content sigh of those leaving. Honestly, Mu didn't believe that he'd see the light of day again. When the opportunity presented itself, without a word, Mu began to walk out of the cell.
- Only when he bare feet touched the carpeted floor did Mu stop himself. The young man shuddered, taking a heavy breath.
- "Thank you."
- Regardless of whether Arthur was following him, Mu made his way towards the metal door and swung it open. He aimed to head upstairs. The battles and war could be handled later. For now, Mu needed to bask in the sun for a while.
