  16. Spider-Man! Spider-Man! Does whatever a spider can! Spins a web? No, he can't! Up and at 'em, Atom Ant! ... no, wait, I was going somewhere with this.

  18. On the plus side, showing up unannounced at the front door to Xavier's mansion is always a way to distract someone. Sitting down and having a heart to heart with Charles Xavier and Hank McCoy, and laying things out patiently but without exception - that I was there because something was going to go terribly wrong, that I was definitely NOT from their Earth, and my whole purpose was to spend the next ten years helping them make a better place - was pretty much reacted to exceptionally poorly.

  20. When Logan showed up at the door, well... that's when things got much more complicated. I tagged along for much of it - having someone who can abuse technology is handy, especially when it comes to potential giant robot induced genocide - but the broad strokes of how most expected things to go were true up to a point. Except for the part where I pulled Logan to the side, inquired as to exactly where and when he had travelled back in time from, and then made some arrangements of my own during a bit of downtime.

  22. But after a certain point, everything went very sideways, thanks to someone who was able to dispassionately do what needed to be done. Specifically: I cheated more than a small bit by buying a plane ticket such that I would end up seated next to a certain shapeshifter, and asked why, without judging or arguing. And then, when the answer came, I paused. Then informed her that death was much too easy an escape, and I could definitely see to it that justice was done.

  24. Trask's press conference was quietly cancelled due to the White House receiving a thick packet in the mail a few hours prior. Trask was quietly disappeared and imprisoned for an extremely large assortment of charges; while Magneto was Sir Not Appearing In This Picture due to a certain confrontation in the woods going differently thanks to a bunch of scared men with badges losing their crossbow to spider webs while he and his family fled and resettled into a quiet life. Raven and Charles reconciled, even if perhaps things were a bit more bumpy than intended. But she stayed overnight with Hank, rather than leaving him, and that in itself had long ranging effects. The future had changed, the Sentinels sold for scrap as they didn't work properly when studied later. Congress called them a boondoggle at best and more likely a scam at worst.
  25.
  26. And then En Sabah Nur awoke, and offered to recruit me to his cause as one of his acolytes.
  27.
  28. I chose that moment to stop sandbagging. En Sabah Nur and his Horsemen were teleported to the sunny side of Mercury, because I am NOT dealing with this shit again.
  29.
  30. Really, other than the Juggernaut deciding that I was responsible for his life somehow going sideways, things went pretty much swimmingly after that. Aside from some weird alien invasion thing that Jean basically stopped solo, I still have no idea what the fuck was up with that.
