The summoning of Elementals is a recently focused art. While summoning lesser creatures, like Skurns, has long since been possible, the summoning and binding of genuine elemental spirits has been an elusive and not particularly sought after technique.

Tragedy. For a child destined to experience the plight of her plot at an early age caused the little girl’s eyes to open up to the real world. The sorrow of death, happiness, the desire to protect and become significant, the exhilaration of battle, and the hell of war. Vivica was no longer a child living happily in Nostvale, but she was now a little girl residing in Loranthis who was undergoing training from Thom alongside those in Ragnarok.

After her arrival, the Loranthian King adopted Vivica. Together, the pair stood before the city, watching over the citizens who prepared daily for war. In the meantime, Thom had been teaching Vivica about magic and how to utilize them. At some point during those times, she got to witness Thom manifest Indra, the lightning elemental.

After Thom’s demise, her journey continued. Loss and loss, the young girl's path began to lead towards Cinderfall, after various circumstances. Throughout her time there, Vivica met many others who knew Thom Takashi before he went astray. Each person told her a different and unique story that only increased the smile on her face.  He was a great man who was taken from the light and turned to darkness. It was because of those stories, the adoption of Ciel and Batkem, and making many friends in Cinderfall, that made Vivica determined to strive for becoming a Hero or Champion of the Eternal Flame. Thus, years later, the now adoptee to Ciel, and Batkem Loirdne would set herself on a rigorous training regiment in order to achieve the state of conjuring elementals akin of the Golden King.[/size][/quote][/quote]

Here, he showed her the memorial that displayed the fallen Heroes and Champions of Cinderfall’s past, Thom’s name included. After getting out what he wanted to say, Vivica realized just how much she wanted to stay in Cinderfall and strive to become a Hero of the Eternal Flame.[/size]

The mention of summoning a storm elemental was brought up. Of course, the two were encouraging and supported the idea of it before she and Sirus headed off to her home to go over Thom’s journals.[/size]

Three attempts were made (with rolls for succession). The first ended with an empty hand. The second left her with nothing but an orb or lightning magic. The third left her with a sphere of water that had lightning magic sparking around it, but nothing more. Due to her failures, Vivica assumed she needed more mental strengthening, especially to summon something that would grow to become powerful, especially since it was the combination of three single elements into one.[/size]

Brenton had stopped by shortly after she attempted another summon and offered her help when she mentioned what she needed to do in order to summon an elemental.[/size]

She assumed she was failing due to the lack of a strong mentality, and that’s just the sort of training she’d delve into now, or so she thought! Speaking with Brenton was calming just like any other time and telling him of her troubles allowed her to relax. A spar between the two had begun with her successfully summoning a tiny cloud-like creature with lightning surging through its body and bits of water dripping at the bottom of its being that flopped around just as she imagined it would. Because of Vivica’s mastery over water, wind, and lightning, she came to successfully summon what she longed for. A storm elemental - and this was just the beginning. The elemental was placed off to the side due to it being too weak to fight with both beings, so it would spectate their battle to learn, as a beginning of its own training.[/size][/quote]

The Fire Lodestone! Many others around the city appear to pursue the dragon, including Vivica herself though when the situation seemed to settle or there isn’t anymore she can do. For now, she stood idle near Ciel by the church and speaks to Sirus about the elemental when he points it out. A simple command is given for it to come to her hand, and it obeys.[/size]

The Firekeeper, Champions, and many of Cinderfall’s own aimed to drive the dragon out of the city, but with little luck, even with Niall, the storm elemental, helping to give Vivica bits of its power, it was no use in moving the dragon who appeared be defending itself along with the Fire Lodestone. A decision was made to let the dragon stay for the night until more details could be hashed out.[/size]

Either way, after a horrid incident with herself and being healed by Brenton, she came across a Ventus kaor in the willows where she fled to for some time. The conversation wasn’t much friendly. After stating who she was and her occupation, the two engaged in combat. Niall was summoned once again, but its appearance was growing. Before it had been just a foot tall, but here it was approximately two feet. Niall again helped Vivica in battle and in the end, Adnyl got away.[/size]

Vivica was curious about the woman, but didn’t pry too much into questioning her except for asking what she might have known about Thom Takashi and elementals. After answers were given, Vivica asked for a friendly spar where she had help from Niall once again. The elemental’s size increased and its own magic was growing that she could see. More power was passed between her and the elemental and thus she came out the victor.[/size]

From there, the met each other in Vivica’s desired location in order for Chug to find out just the answers he seeked, however, because he was displeased and because of Vivica’s status as a Kaor Slayer and Yokai Huntress, a battle erupted between them. Niall’s aid was necessary against the yokai and thus she was able to best the beast in battle. Ensuring herself the victor, she took of both of the yokai’s arms and, with the assumption he was dead, took them back to Cinderfall with her, even if she was quite bloodied herself.[/size]

Because of the minor cuts and bruises along his skin, him and Vivica took a trip to Eden for her to connect to the water Lodestone to heal him, even if the connection wasn’t necessary, she wanted to continue the ‘practice’ with maintaining a connection to them.[/size]

A nearly six foot tall elemental, due to its growth over the years, was summoned forth to battle with Vivica against Zain, but in the end, the Golden Dragon downed the young storm mage and ended up sending her to the infirmary.[/size]

Niall was again summoned, much taller than before and he spoke for the first time, but aside from that, the spar was rather quick and ended in Batkem’s victory. Vivica and Niall were able to show the Spriggan their power together, but she didn’t seem to take much interest in it.[/size]

[size=85]Obviously I’d love to thank everyone who was involved in the development! It means a lot to me that others were very helpful! One thing that made development a bit difficult and slower, however, is the declining in the Eternian population due to Spires coming out soon, so trying to find sources outside of Cinderfall was a bit difficult most of the time for me to try and antagonize some PCs, more specifically fun and challenging matches for those who play Yokai/Depraved beings!
However, the development was fun with all who helped! Thanks again!
EDIT: Due to the sudden OOC detail about the Lodestones being expended of energy, I started to develop the connection with the Orbs Vivica had on her. I was not presently aware about the Lodestones until it was mentioned earlier in the week after connection with them was already finished.[/size][/quote][/center]
