  1. [01:09] She'd launch herself towards Yuri now. He refused to take back what he said, and had thoroughly upset the small Drakanite at this point.
  2.
  3. Lightning coursed through her form and it's only from Thalis' own advice that she'd find herself hesitating - briefly - as she lined herself up. She sprang from one foot to the other constantly, and that motion built up electricity within the new sandals she had been gifted.
  4.
  5. The sandals themselves seemed to conduct and focus that electricity that much better, and all at once Raeliana disappeared from standing before Yuri. In it's place had been a badly aimed sword slash, that merely grazed his forearm and nothing more.
  6.
  7. The Drakanite stood behind him, tail lashing to reveal just how angry she had fallen to his words. They may not have been much to him - as a human... But as a Drakanite? He had besmirched her honor.
  8. (Raeliana)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [01:17] Yuri's body reacted before he could. While he couldn't foresee the actions that she was about to make due to their sheer speed, the knight's energy reacted appropriately. The blade that grazed against his arm took more than mere hair with it, but also a wisp of mana - energy dissipating by the time her motion stopped. A thin shroud of azure answered the call of battle, and with it the knight's instincts flared up.
  12.
  13. He remained right where he was, looking away from Raeliana, letting a few seconds pass in order to breathe, to mind his thoughts.
  14.
  15. ".. Do... you really want me to hurt you?" He asked.
  16. (Yuri)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [01:24] There was a little pant that escaped from the small Drakanite - she was untested in using that much mana before in such a way and she doubted that she could keep it up if she truly fought him. But he continued to face away from her and in that regard she contemplated on what to do.
  20.
  21. He had asked her if she really wanted him to hurt her - and that was a silly and foolish question.
  22.
  23. Who wanted someone to hurt them?
  24.
  25. But he had already hurt her - emotionally, at least. She spun around, and now her sword lunged forward once more, encased in lightning.
  26. (Raeliana)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [01:36] What could he really do against someone this swift? Where lightning called for his life there had to be an answer. Any answer, really. As she lunged forward his left hand reached up to his blade - he wouldn't make it in time, would he? The gap between himself and the Drakanite was far too small for him to cover, to grasp onto his weapon and bring it out before the one who sought to hurt him.
  30.
  31. Green sparks were brought to life at his fingertips. His heart began racing, his mind focusing on that very task he'd repeated for what must've been a thousand times before. Wash up. Wash down. Wash up. Wash down. Skip. Wash up. Skip. Wash down. Skip.
  32.
  33. A leap in time. Could he really control it? He'd managed to pull it out of himself in times of need - he'd done so intentionally, too. But now with the pressure, could he be precise and efficient?
  34.
  35. Clank!
  36.
  37. Their blades met, even if it wasn't supposed to be. Even if it wasn't meant to be. For a moment it would look as if Yuri's back was turned to the Drakanite, in the next? He was facing her, swinging his large weapon to catch hers.
  38.
  39. Impossible.
  40.
  41. It defied the rules of physics.
  42.
  43. .. Literally.
  44.
  45. A green gaze meets with angry hues. The buzz of lightning fills the air for words are not exchanged. He waits, he considers. His lips part, yet no word escape him.
  46.
  47. Despite how terrifying it was, he looked right into her eyes.
  48. (Yuri)
  49. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  50.
  51. [01:46] She was too close - there was no way he could have caught her blade.
  52.
  53. And yet--
  54.
  55. Steel met steel in a mighty clash.
  56.
  57. Despite the Drakanite's wild inexperience and her age and her form...? The strength was there. Her blessing was not a joke - especially to herself, and she pushed and pushed against the Knight's own sword as her fangs clenched, jaw locking in place.
  58.
  59. "Take.... It.... Back...." She growled out. Lightning wormed it's way up the blade called Thunder, before it exploded outwards, sending Yuri sliding back no doubt with a static charge that he'd be hard pressed to simply shake off, but he entirely could.
  60.
  61. But it didn't stop her rampage. Her little tantrum.
  62.
  63. She zipped towards him again, intent on clashing over and over until he took it back!
  64. (Raeliana)
  65. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  66.
  67. [01:54] The roar of electricity called for his own energy to flare up, too. His will was being sent through his sword, compensating for its lack of speed with sheer strength. Still, he was driven back. He still wasn't there yet.
  68.
  69. As more and more energy began flowing throughout his sword, Yuri took a stance, readying himself for that battle that was to come. Taking back his insult would be a lie, for one, but...
  70.
  71. .. this exchange had him interested. It was the perfect opponent to test his work against. Unbeknownst to Raeliana she had become a volunteer in helping Yuri work on his craft, on his technique.
  72.
  73. Carry your will through your blade. Make it shine.
  74.
  75. Nyeshk glimmered with a coat of cobalt, sent swinging towards the Drakanite.
  76. (Yuri)
  77. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  78.
  79. [02:00] {Won Restrained RPB against Raeliana}
  80. [02:10] The gap in experience and skill was present, but Yuri looked for the most important points in a fight like this one - he sought out to improve himself. To get a better grasp on his own style, on something that could shift the odds around no matter what.
  81.
  82. An exchange that allowed lightning to meet against raw, concentrated energy. The clank of blades, the sparks they sent left and right were not only satisfying to the ear iself, but they just... brought life into Yuri's heart.
  83.
  84. Finally, someone to test himself against. To clash against who wasn't just a hungry Demon. Someone with a sword. Their exchange kept putting Yuri above his opponent, eventually leading to her finding herself at his mercy. From two meters away did he prepare a swing, far too distant to actually reach her, right?
  85.
  86. With a coat of mana surrounding his weapon, with his will extended into it he pushed forth. At his fingertips reigned a growing mastery of time magic, launching him forward in the future.
  87.
  88. A cut right across Raeliana's chest deep enough to draw blood. Ethereal energies sunk into the wound, burning away at any spell that may be cast, a raging azure flame that decomposed each and every bit of magic into its raw component: mana.
  89.
  90. A slash great enough to defeat this Drakanite, surely.
  91.
  92. It left Yuri panting, and before many, many options.
  93.
  94. Should he take her back?
  95. He couldn't end her here and there - this was a scuffle over wings.
  96. Should he let her go?
  97. She'd tell on him.
  98. (Yuri)
  99. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  100.
  101. [02:20] Lightning encased her form over and over as she dashed and pranced across the battlefield. Yuri's experience and his skill with his blade was far greater than Raeliana's --
  102.
  103. Why did she almost always fight against others out of her league? Beyond when she had beaten Ulfric and taken all of his money, of course! But several times throughout the fight, the Knight would notice one thing.
  104.
  105. Occasionally, the Drakanite seemed to pause, stumbling back. She focused - and the next thing Yuri would know was another slash against him, with Raeliana right back to where she had been standing. What followed?
  106.
  107. The clap of thunder itself, echoing through the forest.
  108.
  109. When she had said she'd become the next Thunderlady she was not joking. It was her goal, and one she intended upon capturing no matter what.
  110.
  111. Yuri's growing mastery of time magic won out over her own growing mastery of Lightning speed, and that cut was sent against her chest, blood being drawn as she was ultimately laid at the feet of the Knight.
  112.
  113. Pain consumed her, but so too did anger.
  114. (Raeliana)
