  1. Adriana was nine years old when she properly came into her Fathers bloodline.
  2.
  3. It was a sunny day in Greece and she was on a walk with one of her nannies when she encountered to her horror a group of teenage boys being nasty and cruel to a stray dog. The group had set ablaze a firecracker bound to the dogs tail and laughed as they watched it's agony.
  4.
  5. Young Adriana ignored everything but the leader of the gang; and at once set upon him with her small purse.
  6.
  7. (small but for the fact it contained a hard back book of plato's works. Not something any teen boy wants to be mauled with!)
  8.
  9. She was only snapped from her righteous fury when she felt a pair of hands drawing her away; speaking soothingly to her. Gently a man drew her away from the scene and into his home. It was there she discovered the wings and horns that had burst forth.
  10.
  11. The man who called himself Agrippa, warned her to be careful of her temper. And warned her thrice to never allow her wings and horns to be spotted once he learnt that Adriana's mother was human.
  12.
  13. "You will be used by your Fathers people. They will see you as less than even a broodmare. You must hide them. You must never let them be seen unless you are upon another land. You must ensure they are never seen."
  14.
  15. And, a glamour was woven tightly into her signet ring. A glamour to hide her wings and horns until her own magic was strong enough to support it.
  16.
  17. Adriana would begin returning to Greece every summer; seeking lessons in court life from the mysterious stranger and being doted on by his mother. He could not teach her too much of magic; but he could give her the building blocks of other races and the lessons needed to build the well of magic inside herself.
  18.
  19. He taught her control; in her anger, in what she put forth into the world of her magic. Little by little, year by year she began to cinch down on her abilities. Agrippa could not allow her to perform anything large or reckless; not until she was older or discovered by her Father. But he could ensure that she was ready to use those talents and use her power with minor tasks and spells.
  20.
  21. Magic was not her only focus in those divine summer months.
  22.
  23. He taught her how to run a town; how to properly handle small and medium sized boats. How to dive for oysters, octopi and even urchins. Weaponry and survival at sea; how to ensure her welfare and how to budget.
  24.
  25. And he taught her to trust and have faith that not every male was someone to be distrusted and thought of lesser beings despite her Mothers teaching.
  26.
  27. Agrippa taught her how to kill; showing her how on bodies of Beef, Sheep and other things. Where to find the heart; how to break down a body and cover your tracks. How to dispose of a body so that none would discover the truth.
  28.
  29. He also taught her that most in her Father's line were bound to ink and parchment and encouraged her to look to the future. classes on coding and how to hide things on computers were taken so that nothing would be gleaned by the more old fashioned crowd.
  30.
  31. One of the most important things that Agrippa taught was of the Gods and the Old Ways. How to respect them and how to worship properly if she ever desired it. He knew over time the Gods of Greece were not her primary ones; but that it was like all things a start to a good foundation.
  32.
  33. Agrippa has been a boon and Adriana's most well kept secret.
