  1. First of all, the reason for this paste is because this is going to affect my stream; keep that in mind. Also, none of this starts until January 3rd, so my stream will be normal until then; the 12 Days of ChristmAce will proceed as planned.
  2.
  3. Anyway:
  4.
  5. In early 2017, in the interest of having a nicer smile to display on my stream, I'm going to have a MASSIVE amount of dental work done. If you haven't been able to tell on my stream, my top row is awful-looking. My smile looks terrible because my top row is inundated with cavities and other problems. Today (December 5), I went in for a cleaning and a bit of a consultation to learn what they wanted to do about these issues.
  6.
  7. It is going to require a LOT of tooth extractions; I already have an appointment on January 3rd to get like 6 teeth taken out (top row backs, mostly, with some bottom backs).
  8.
  9. What you need to know about that appointment is that I'm going to not stream on the 3rd (guaranteed; I'm taking the day off), and will take as much time off as I need for pain management (understandably, I can't stream when my jaw is throbbing in pain); I don't know how the extractions are going to go, and how long I'll be in some manner of pain afterward depends on how smoothly they go (whether they come out cleanly, or gum needs cut to procure pieces of tooth that are being stubborn). I will stream when I can, when the pain isn't that bad, or once it's gone.
  10.
  11. But that's the SIMPLE part.
  12.
  13. See, the eventual plan is to give me a denture for my upper teeth - what needs to happen after the upcoming appointment is that I need to go back in to have some FRONTS pulled - this means verbally talking on my stream, or even showing up on cam, at that point is simply not going to be an option for a while, period. So whenever I go in for that, I will not be appearing or being heard on my stream for several days (more pain management anyway, but I'd be totally unable to talk in any not-totally-ridiculous-sounding manner, either); I will be going no cam & no mic for whatever time period is necessary.
  14.
  15. After that visit - and after my denture comes in - I will be able to resume showing up and talking on my stream as per normal, and I'll have a nicer smile to display for all that pain and hard work - and that's the goal: I want my smile to be nice for all the people coming and watching my stream, as well as just in general for in-person interactions IRL.
  16.
  17. Keep in touch with me on Twitter and Discord to learn how this process is going once it starts, and I'll give updates so you can keep tabs on how things are proceeding with the dental work, and thus what days I may/may not stream as a result.
