  1. *LAST TIME ON ZURPG - Kirran & Hal Edition*
  2. At the end of the Sheikah- err Twili trials, Hal, you acquired a remote control, enabling you to get just about anywhere in Hyrule, provided there's a Gossip Stone nearby. Having finished there, you rode up the elevator, getting a grand view of the war on Hyrule. You also heard the voice of Fierce Deity returned, haunting Gustaf. He had a better grip on it, but you needed a new, permanent solution.
  3.
  4. You arrived at the peak of Death Mountain, where you met with the Great Fairy, or what's left of her Light World variant. As she showed you visions of the past and future, you noticed Interloper whispers, and something off with the fountain itself. Upon finally confronting it, the Interloper revealed himself to be none other than Dark Blue.
  5.
  6. While you stopped him from getting everything he wanted, he still got away with a copy of the Crystalline Armor and Kirran's Golden Gauntlets. Using a Biggoron Warhammer, he promptly nuked the fountain and the mountain peak, escaping in the chaos. You managed to bottle up the Great Fairy, but Gustaf got swept away in the shockwave.
  7.
  8. With the Great Fairy rescued, she revealed there's a way to defeat Dark Blue, and that's to find the Four Sword and unsummon him. Thankfully, you don't have to go to Twilight Realm to retrieve it - because that dark cloud that's been expanding is the Twilight Realm. And it's coming...
  9.
  10. <DM> Just to be clear, you weren't actually swamped by the Twilight Realm, that was just the loading screen transition...
  11. <Kirran> I feel like the world is suddenly hazy, and the future somehow...imperfect.
  12. <DM> Anywho...
  13. <DM> -=SESSION START=-
  14. <DM> *You reemerge from the sudden bout of darkness, atop Death Mountain at its highest point. To the southeast, you hear sounds of battle, the bray of Goron warcries, the kraws of Lizalfos, and the oi et be et err of Baegba.
  15. <DM> *Looking down at the pass below, there's a great 5-Headed Gleeok clearing out the mountain peak that Dark Blue just dropped on the pass. It seems to have stalled it, so... kudos to the Interloper?
  16. <Hal> What we need to do now is figure out where Gustaf is. Either that or we need some way to protect the Gorons.
  17. <DM> *Gustaf, however, is nowhere to be found. Wherever he got launched, it must be too far for your Spirit Vision to track.
  18. <DM> [Great Fairy]: He seemed to be somewhat in control of himself, so if we can find him soon, we may be able to prevent him from turning again.
  19. <Hal> And where do we begin?
  20. <Kirran> I hope so. In the mean time, I can only imagine him hopping around the mountainside like a goat.
  21. <DM> *The spirit of the Great Fairy pops out of the bottle for a moment, hovering around to get some bearings, then flies back into the bottle.
  22. <DM> [Great Fairy]: He either fell to the south, towards the Gorons; to the east, on the pass to the Lava Lands, or... somehow, he got flung into the volcano.
  23. <DM> *Over the cliff to the east, you see another batch of creatures marching their way to meet and merge with the invasion force. A mix of Lizalfos, Goriyas, and potentially others.
  24. <Hal> I think going the route of the Gorons might be a good play. They need our help.
  25. <Kirran> I'm pretty sure the princess would psychically make my head explode if that happened.
  26. <DM> [Great Fairy]: Worry not, there's plenty of ground inside the volcano! .. and lots of lava.
  27. <DM> *Hal, as you consider going towards the Gorons, a big, rounded rock comes into view. Except it's not a rock.. it's the topside of Biggoron's head.
  28. <Hal> O.o
  29. <DM> *He's suddenly pushed back into the mountain, causing the platform you guys are standing on to shake.
  30. <DM> [Biggoron]: Goraahh!
  31. <Hal> We should probably get a move on and fight to protect the Gorons.
  32. <DM> *He doesn't seem to have noticed you. However, you do see something small running up the backside of its head. A blue and gold metallic device, of sorts. It stops, then starts blinking red.
  33. <Hal> (How far is it?)
  34. <DM> [Biggoron]: Oi, Luggins, kin yew git dis Bombchu offa moi? Oi can't foind it!
  35. <DM> *It's... pretty close next to you. Take a good dozen steps or so, hop onto his head, and there you have it. Well within range.
  36. <DM> *From somewhere below, you hear the rugged voice of the Luggins pipe up.
  37. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Yer too big, I can't jump that high, ye see!
  38. <DM> [Biggoron]: Aren't yew a Sheikah?
  39. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Still in trainin', big guy! Ack!
  40. <DM> *His shouts are cut short by the sound of a clash of metal.
  41. * Hal aims a Wind Torrent off the bombchu to blast it off!
  42. <DM> (roll it!)
  43. <Hal> $41d10
  44. <Navi> Hal: You rolled 41 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 2, 8, 9, 2, 7, 5, 10, 6, 5, 7, 8, 4, 10, 10, 4, 8, 7, 6, 7, 6, 4, 5, 2, 1, 5, 9, 3, 2, 7, 8, 1, 8, 5, 10, 10, 2, 5, 9, 7, 10 and 5. Total: 249. Successes: 36.
  45. <DM> $38d10
  46. <Navi> DM: You rolled 38 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 5, 3, 5, 5, 6, 2, 1, 2, 9, 6, 5, 3, 8, 5, 8, 6, 8, 9, 3, 5, 10, 1, 9, 9, 10, 1, 3, 9, 8, 2, 4, 2, 4, 8, 6, 10, 10 and 7. Total: 217. Successes: 29.
  47. <DM> *Your Wind Torrent is strong enough to pry the Bombchu off! The bomb goes whirling off into the air, then explodes with a brilliant flash!
  48. <DM> *Biggoron ends up taking a step forward, but thankfully he's got the strength to brace himself and not get toppled from your Wind Torrent.
  49. <DM> [Biggoron]: Huh, Oi thunk it's gone. Wot did that?
  50. <DM> *The great hunking Goron slowly turns his head to see... well, the top of a cliff. He puts one of his hands on the ledge next to you, then pulls himself up just enough to see you guys. As he does, the platform you're on becomes more unstable.
  51. <Hal> (Kirran seems to be idle)
  52. <DM> [Biggoron]: Huh? Wot in tha... Who're you?
  53. <Kirran> Here to help by order of the princess.
  54. <DM> [Biggoron]: Princess? Da big wig Zelda?
  55. <Hal> Yes. That would be her.
  56. <DM> *The nearby still-standing elevator suddenly regurgitates a Ghost Hunter. The elevator then waves adieu at you before proceeding to hide by heading back down to the bottom.
  57. <DM> [Ghost Hunter]: Hey, let me back in, it's dangerous out here! Don't you hide on me you... well, there's goes that escape attempt.
  58. * Hal chooses to suppress his memories of the creepy Twili elevator.
  59. <DM> [Biggoron]: Goro? Ghost Hunter too?
  60. <Kirran> Yep, though decreasingly willingly.
  61. <DM> [Biggoron]: Oi see...
  62. <DM> [Ghost Hunter]: HOLY MOLY THAT'S A BIG GORON...
  63. <DM> [Biggoron]: Yes, that is moi name.
  64. <DM> [Ghost Hunter]: ... how many times a day do you make that joke-
  65. <DM> *You hear and feel and explosion from below, and mountain rumbles. Biggoron loses his grip, causing him to fall backwards. The cascading shockwave ends up shaking the upper cliff you guys are on incredibly fragile and unsteady.
  66. <Kirran> What's the situation Biggoron?
  67. <Kirran> Well, guess that answers that.
  68. <Hal> At any way rate, we need to repel the invasion force here.
  69. <DM> [Biggoron]: Gah, Lizalfos bombing us!
  70. <Kirran> I think we need to start by getting down from here.
  71. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: What the?! That's my leg! Gerroff me leg, Biggoron!
  72. * Kirran looks around first to see if he can see the bombers.
  73. <DM> *You look around, about to spot some with your Spirit Vision, when all of a sudden, it starts fritzing out.
  74. <Kirran> This day just keeps getting worse...Hal, you seeing this too?
  75. <Hal> Gimme a moment
  76. * Hal engages Spirit Vision to look for the bombers
  77. <DM> *A great cloud of darkness has moved its way overhead Death Mountain. The area is still well lit, as if under a sunset, but it seems to be interfering with your Spirit Vision.
  78. <DM> *Hal, you end up having the same problem.
  79. <Hal> Blast it. I don't think we can use our X-Rays anymore
  80. <DM> *Just then, you hear the rev-up whirl of another Bombchu. It's over the cliffside, from inside a small crevice. You see the device head towards the downed Biggoron.
  81. <DM> $38d10
  82. <Navi> DM: You rolled 38 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 1, 9, 3, 5, 1, 10, 10, 9, 6, 7, 7, 8, 2, 6, 9, 1, 5, 8, 1, 8, 7, 8, 10, 10, 10, 4, 8, 5, 4, 8, 1, 4, 6, 4, 9, 7, 3 and 9. Total: 233. Successes: 31.
  83. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Uh-oh, nother one, incoming! Seriously big guy, I can't move to block it!
  84. * Hal shoots another Wind Torrent at the Bombchu
  85. <Hal> $41d10
  86. <Navi> Hal: You rolled 41 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 5, 8, 6, 2, 6, 7, 8, 5, 7, 3, 3, 8, 10, 9, 5, 10, 9, 4, 4, 6, 9, 7, 4, 10, 1, 10, 3, 10, 6, 6, 8, 1, 4, 4, 2, 10, 1, 9, 4, 8 and 1. Total: 243. Successes: 32.
  87. <DM> *You get to the cliffside to launch it, just barely intercepting the Bombchu before it reaches Biggoron. You throw the bombchu offcourse, causing it to explode further down the path.
  88. <DM> *However, at the cost of launching a powerful Wind Torrent at the ledge, the ground beneath you gives way! You fall to the ground, which is a good... 30 foot drop!
  89. * Kirran uses regular Sheikah super-vision to hunt for the bombermen.
  90. <Kirran> $1d3
  91. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 2.
  92. * Hal briefly looks for Hookshot targets he can use to subtevrt the fall
  93. <DM> *You see a big ol' giant Hookshot target called Biggoron. Or you can aim for the smaller Doc Luggins.
  94. <DM> *Via Dark Vision, near where Hal is falling, there's a crevice where a Lizalfos is preparing and arming Bombchus. He keeps moving from one side to another, to try and throw off anyone from tracking him.
  95. * Kirran takes aim with a bomb arrow.
  96. * Hal aims his Hookshot at Doc Luggings, trying to drag himself towards him to break the fall
  97. <DM> (alrighty, roll Hookshot vs.... 25)
  98. <Hal> $25d10
  99. <Navi> Hal: You rolled 25 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 5, 1, 4, 10, 1, 2, 4, 4, 8, 2, 1, 2, 2, 2, 1, 5, 1, 7, 10, 9, 7, 4, 3, 9 and 3. Total: 107. Successes: 11.
  100. <DM> *Hal, you aim the Hookshot at Doc Luggins instead, though it's not quite fast enough. You end up falling, but with the Bombchu from earlier destroyed, Biggoron is able to extend an arm to catch you, breaking your fall. You manage to avoid the damage.
  101. <DM> *Though, he ended up reaching across Doc Luggins to do so, unintentionally crushing a bone or so.
  102. <DM> *You hear the fellow try to scream in agony, but it's muffled by a big Goron arm.
  103. <DM> *Kirran, roll the Bomb Arrow!
  104. <Kirran> $51d10
  105. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 51 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 292. Successes: 39.
  106. <DM> *With the Lizalfos under the impression it's hidden, it doesn't get defensive bonuses, so...
  107. <DM> $23d10
  108. <Navi> DM: You rolled 23 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 5, 7, 10, 7, 1, 5, 6, 8, 2, 4, 8, 1, 9, 4, 10, 2, 1, 3, 4, 2, 9, 6 and 1. Total: 115. Successes: 14.
  109. <DM> *The Lizalfos finishes arming another Bombchu. It's about to set it off when it notices a THUNK from above.
  110. <DM> *Planted right inside the crevice is a big ol' Super Bomb with an arrow attached. And a good-bye note.
  111. <DM> *Its screams are immediately overwhelmed by an inferno of two explosives, followed by the crevice caving in on the Lizalfos' corpse.
  112. <DM> [Biggoron]: Here ya go, Oi got yew.
  113. <DM> *Hal, the big guy lets you do nearby. He proceeds to stand back up, no longer assailed by Bombchus.
  114. <Hal> Much appreciate the save.
  115. <DM> *Next to him, to see a Doc Luggins, bleeding with some bones crushed as he's slightly pushed into the ground. He's very much alive still, but he's not moving.
  116. * Kirran tries not to land on him
  117. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Dat's it, it's not worth gettin' up. I'mma just lay 'ere, no wun will notice me, that's the ways to do it...
  118. <DM> *Kirran, roll Courage vs. 30
  119. <DM> (err, I suppose you could climb down instead)
  120. * Hal looks at Doc Luggins and fires a Great Rejuvination at the wounded Doc.
  121. <Kirran> $50d10
  122. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 50 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 3, 1, 3, 4, 10, 1, 6, 4, 5, 2, 4, 2, 2, 8, 8, 10, 10, 1, 8, 10, 9, 2, 10, 1, 2, 2, 4, 4, 1, 9, 4, 3, 9, 7, 7, 8, 7, 2, 1, 2, 4, 5, 4, 6, 2, 1, 5, 1, 2 and 3. Total: 229. Successes: 25.
  123. <Kirran> $1d3
  124. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 1.
  125. <Kirran> Sorry Doc
  126. <DM> (how the heck does that even work)
  127. <DM> (1 = the auto-dodge, right?)
  128. <Kirran> No, it's a 3 I believe
  129. <Kirran> Oh, no, it is 1
  130. <Kirran> Ha.
  131. <DM> *Kirran, you rather clumsily trip down, not exactly doing a graceful Sheikah jump. However, right when you're able to impact the now healed Doc, you suddenly dodge physics, simultaneously impacting him and not impacting him, do an ukemi, and then roll into upright position, unharmed by the fall.
  132. <DM> *Luggins, having just gotten Doc'd by the Hal, he suddenly bolts upright, checking to see if there's another broken bone, then looking back at Kirran, dumbfounded.
  133. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Wha?! But... yew... how'd you-?!
  134. <Hal> Thought we'd just drop in
  135. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: And yew! Where'd you... wherre is... WHAT?!
  136. <DM> *He about faints, but the clashing of battle from not-too-far jolts him back awake.
  137. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Gah... guess a hero's work is never over. My thanks, Hal. We's gots a war ta foight! FOR KA'KRIKO!
  138. <DM> *The Luggins takes two steps down the hill, when an Aquamentus appears, flying up from the path below. It sets itself down in front of you, blocking your way downhill. Luggins then proceeds to run the opposite way, only to immediately get blocked by a cliff.
  139. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Nope, nope, nope, NOPE, NOPE! NO MORE
  140. <DM> *The Aquamentus immediately launches a wave of fireballs at you, but Biggoron, with his immense size, is large enough to get in the way and block the hit.
  141. <DM> Biggoron = Odds
  142. <DM> $1d3
  143. <Navi> DM: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 1.
  144. <DM> *Biggoron braces his arms, quite easily repelling the wave of fireballs.
  145. * Hal looks around for large objects he could use to repel the Aquamentus?
  146. <DM> [Biggoron]: Alroight, I'll git this wun an' stop the dragons from flyin' in from above. Can you guys get the smaller ones?
  147. <DM> *There's enough boulders and rubble from the upper cliff you were on before to roll down the hill.
  148. <Kirran> There's smaller ones?
  149. <DM> [Biggoron]: There's still lizzies 'round, an' who knows wot else.
  150. <DM> *Just then, you see a flock of Keese fly up from behind the Aquamentus. They scatter upon seeing Biggoron, also avoiding getting bombed out.
  151. <Kirran> The hunt is on!
  152. <DM> *There's a great rush of wind as the Keese fly in. If you have less than 30 Power, you lose 5 Successes on attack.
  153. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Oh, I kin get that! Check this out!
  154. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Shadow Jump!
  155. <DM> *He teleports a short distance to the Keese's shadow, then strikes!
  156. <DM> *... except the Keese is flying 30 feet above him.
  157. <DM> *He ends up slicing the air.
  158. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Oh. Now I sees why Impa seys she hates birdies...
  159. <Hal> Might wanna be careful with that. Someone's been stealing magic as we jump
  160. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Huh? Haven't noticed a thing.
  161. <Kirran> That was the Dark Link. He's probably had his fill for now.
  162. <DM> [Raine]: Well, I think that's because when we do our Shadow Hops, it's so far away that we end up traveling through his realm to do it.
  163. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Wait, Dark Link? Isn't it- ack!
  164. <DM> *Some Keese swarm and go in on the Luggins!
  165. <DM> *Keese = Odds
  166. <DM> $1d3
  167. <Navi> DM: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 2.
  168. <DM> *Somehow, through his amateur attempts at dodging, Luggins trips over himself, getting the Keese to collide in the air above him instead of cutting him to pieces.
  169. <DM> *There's now 3 Dazed Keese above Doc Luggins, all with half defense rolls, and within close proximity of each other.
  170. * Hal casts Steel Shadows on Kirran to negate that Field effect
  171. <DM> *Kirran, you find yourself no longer pushed down the Wind Fields!
  172. <Hal> (He should have 30 Power now)
  173. <DM> *The Aquamentus is about to charge in at Doc Luggins, when your Biggoron friend takes a wrestling stance, then charges down the hill himself! He slams into the Aquamentus, pushing it back.
  174. <DM> Biggoron = Odds
  175. <DM> $1d3
  176. <Navi> DM: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 1.
  177. <DM> [Biggoron]: ORYAAAAAHHHHHH!
  178. * Kirran fires a regular bomb arrow into the cloud of keese.
  179. <DM> *He pushes the great dragon to the bottom of the hill, then lifts the darn dragon, and chucks him back down, over the cliff and into the main path below! You hear it screeches fade to the distance, then feel the whole mountain shake as it slams into fellow allies below.
  180. <DM> *Roll it!
  181. <Kirran> $51d10
  182. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 51 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 278. Successes: 33.
  183. <DM> $13d10 Keese
  184. <Navi> DM: You rolled 13 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 6, 3, 1, 4, 10, 5, 4, 8, 9, 8, 5, 3 and 7. Total: 73. Successes: 9.
  185. <DM> (what's the damage on a regular bomb?)
  186. <DM> (err regular bomb arrow, I guess)
  187. <Kirran> (4)
  188. <Kirran> (Unless the keese count as a single target, in which case it's 8)
  189. <DM> (close enough)
  190. <DM> *No longer suppressed by the winds, you fire the Bomb Arrow right along the Wind Fields, propelling at supreme speeds! It impacts the Keese cluster, causing them to explode in a shower of bat blades and guts.
  191. <DM> *The remaining two Keese fly around, dodging past the scary Kirran and go in to attack Hal! Roll Courage to defend!
  192. <DM> Roll your Courage +10 dice vs. targets' Courage dice
  193. <DM> Damage: +0
  194. <DM> EFFECT: If it hits, target gains Bleeding x10.
  195. <DM> $42d10
  196. <Navi> DM: You rolled 42 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 5, 1, 5, 8, 1, 7, 6, 4, 9, 7, 5, 7, 3, 7, 4, 6, 3, 2, 2, 6, 3, 5, 5, 7, 9, 3, 6, 6, 7, 8, 2, 2, 9, 7, 9, 10, 4, 5, 3, 2, 1 and 7. Total: 218. Successes: 27.

  200. <Hal> $22d10
  201. <Navi> Hal: You rolled 22 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 9, 9, 10, 7, 6, 9, 2, 1, 9, 9, 3, 5, 4, 6, 4, 3, 10, 5, 3, 1, 4 and 6. Total: 125. Successes: 15.
  202. <DM> *Both of them end up striking you! They probably bounce off whatever ungodly armor you have; however, you notice yourself suddenly bleeding all over the place! You may wanna stitch that up soon before you turn into a red fox.
  203. <Hal> Blast it!
  204. <DM> *Kirran, meanwhile, something is trying to outninja you! Roll Wisdom to defend!
  205. <DM> (if you wanna cast some sort of heal move, go ahead)
  206. <DM> $38d10 Sneaky sneak
  207. <Navi> DM: You rolled 38 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 5, 4, 8, 6, 6, 9, 7, 3, 6, 5, 2, 6, 2, 7, 5, 4, 7, 3, 2, 10, 7, 5, 5, 1, 7, 5, 5, 9, 5, 9, 5, 10, 3, 2, 5, 8, 1 and 2. Total: 201. Successes: 28.
  208. <Hal> (I don't have a way of getting rid of that bleeding)
  209. <Kirran> $42d10
  210. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 42 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 1, 6, 7, 3, 2, 8, 9, 6, 1, 6, 8, 2, 6, 5, 7, 10, 5, 3, 5, 10, 2, 9, 8, 6, 9, 10, 7, 3, 8, 7, 5, 9, 3, 1, 1, 5, 9, 10, 1, 10, 5 and 8. Total: 246. Successes: 35.
  211. <Hal> (I can mitigate it to some extent but nowhere near fast enough to be effective)
  212. <DM> *The Great Fairy pops out of her bottle, then swirls around Hal. Half of your Bleeding Stacks suddenly heal up.
  213. <DM> [Great Fairy]: It's not a lot, but I hope this will help!
  214. * Hal looks around to see the Great Fairy cutting his bleeding down to a more manageable amount.
  215. <DM> *Kirran, you sense something trying to climb up the nearby cliffside, then whirl around in time to stop the Sneak Attack from a Lizalfos!
  216. <Hal> ... I really should bring some Baneroot juice next time.
  217. <DM> *It looks at you surprised, expecting you to... well... not be looking back at it.
  218. <DM> [Lizalfos]: Grak!
  219. <Kirran> It's rude to crash a party you know.
  220. <Kirran> You weren't invited.
  221. <DM> *Kirran, would you like to Counterattack its failed sneak attack?
  222. <Kirran> Yep
  223. * Kirran pulls back and fires a point blank arrow into the rudezard.
  224. <Hal> (So... who would be in range to be hit by an attack that "hits everyone"?)
  225. <DM> (Everyone)
  226. <Kirran> $51d10
  227. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 51 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 286. Successes: 39.
  228. <Hal> (In what range?)
  229. <DM> $27d10
  230. <Navi> DM: You rolled 27 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 5, 6, 7, 6, 5, 4, 6, 4, 1, 2, 1, 9, 7, 10, 4, 1, 6, 9, 10, 9, 6, 2, 6, 1, 6, 7 and 1. Total: 141. Successes: 19.
  231. <DM> 39 - 19 = 20 - 17 = Overkill!
  232. <Hal> (Can the Keese redirect hit-all-enemy attacks?)
  233. <Hal> (Or is there not enough for a flock?)
  234. <DM> *With your Sheikah agility, you quickly ninja up an arrow and fire back at the Lizalfos, landing it right between the eyes. The lizard's shocked expression ends up becoming locked in place, before the fellow tumbles backwards and falls allll the way down to the bottom.
  235. <DM> (They can only redirect single-target)
  236. <DM> *Round 1 Over!*
  237. <DM> *Round 2, go nuts!*
  238. <DM> *Hal, you suddenly lose some color as some dark gooey stuff leaves your body. But, thanks to the Great Fairy's efforts, you're not dead... I think.
  239. <DM> *The two Keese, having successfully launched an attack on Mr. Hunter, rev up to go in for another attack. But first... the Luggins goes for more Sheikah tactics!
  240. <DM> Luggins = 2
  241. <DM> $1d3
  242. <Navi> DM: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 1.
  243. <DM> *He throws some needles, though he's not the greatest at it. Between that and the wind field, the needles end up flying of course, nearly impaling but just barely missing Kirran.
  244. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Whoops! Aim must be a little off today, eheheh.
  245. <Kirran> $1d3
  246. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 1.
  247. * Kirran catches the needles after dodging them and throws them with hopefully more accuracy
  248. <DM> *Roll Courage + 15 + Attack
  249. <Kirran> $64d10
  250. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 64 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 315. Successes: 42.
  251. <Kirran> (nice)
  252. <DM> $47d10
  253. <Navi> DM: You rolled 47 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 6, 8, 2, 3, 8, 3, 7, 2, 4, 8, 2, 5, 3, 6, 9, 2, 1, 4, 6, 4, 7, 6, 1, 8, 7, 9, 7, 3, 9, 8, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 3, 8, 4, 4, 2, 1, 6, 7, 3, 1, 6 and 4. Total: 234. Successes: 25.
  254. <DM> *Your needles strike the Keese, pinning it to the wall and dealing 5 Neutral Damage!
  255. <DM> Keese1: 5h
  256. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Err, I meant to do that. Totally.
  257. <DM> *Keese2 is about to go in, when another attack is flung its way...
  258. <DM> Keese = 2
  259. <DM> $1d3
  260. <Navi> DM: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 1.
  261. <Hal> (So no Defense Bonus)
  262. <DM> *From above, a magical blast strikes the Keese, obliterating it in a single shot!
  263. <DM> *Your friendly neighborhood Ghost Hunter floats on down from above.
  264. <Hal> (So even while pinned, do they get their wind torrent?)
  265. <DM> *The wind torrent has stopped, now that there's only one, and it's stuck on a wall.
  266. <DM> *It's literally a free attack to kill it.
  267. * Hal then casts Restoration Bubble on himself and then aims an Extinguish on it!
  268. <DM> [Ghost Hunter]: I was gonna watch, buuuut I got bored. Haven't flexed the magic muscles in a while, y'know.
  269. <DM> (Roll for the fun of it)
  270. <Hal> $35d10
  271. <Navi> Hal: You rolled 35 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 9, 9, 5, 6, 5, 6, 3, 1, 5, 10, 4, 3, 7, 8, 7, 2, 3, 4, 4, 1, 7, 8, 3, 7, 3, 9, 10, 4, 4, 3, 5, 3, 2, 10 and 8. Total: 188. Successes: 22.
  272. <Hal> I'm gonna need more protection against those Keese. I can't hit them for anything and they go right through my armor!
  273. <DM> *The helpless bat, still pinned by the needles (into rocks, by the way. Kirran-thrown needles are dangerous, it seems), is set ablaze by a vengeful Hal, turning it into a crispy meal, or at least it would be, except that eating said meal might slice your mouth open from the inside out.
  274. <Hal> DESCRIPTION: Extinguish a fire raging on a target. Can be cast as an Offensive Spell to an enemy, or as a Support Spell to yourself or an ally.
  275. <Hal> Offensive:
  276. <Hal> Roll your Wisdom +4 dice vs. targets' Wisdom dice
  277. <Hal> Damage: +0
  278. <Hal> EFFECT: If it hits, you gain Regen x4.
  279. <Hal> 11h 15m | Bleeding x4
  280. <DM> *Correction, you squeezed all of its boiling blood out of it, and now it's just a dried husk.
  281. <DM> *At least, I'm going to assume it works that way. Whatever, it's dead now.
  282. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Hah-hah, take that, you darned Keese!
  283. <Hal> (I guess you could say it got freeze-dried)
  284. <DM> *He stomps on one of the Keese corpses, only for its bladed wings to cut his foot. He ends up yelping on the ground.
  285. <DM> *Ghost Hunter, meanwhile, breaks out his Soul Lantern, a specialized one with a purple flame, and he gets to extracting souls from the Keese corpses.
  286. <DM> [Ghost Hunter]: Well, looks like there's gonna be quite a haul on souls tonight.
  287. <DM> [Raine]: Do you really have to do that now? Can't you, I dunno, help out a bit?
  288. * Hal looks around to quickly check his situation and then down to see the situation below
  289. <DM> [Ghost Hunter]: And let the souls grow old and weary? Of course not! Gotta get 'em when they're ripe and fresh, that's the best time!
  290. <DM> *Further down the hill, you see Biggoron wrestling with another Aquamentus. Past that, there appears to be a group of Sheikah, Impa included, fending off a mix of Lizalfos and Goriyas.
  291. <Kirran> Boss!
  292. <DM> *They seem to be protecting a group of Hylian and Goron civilians.
  293. <DM> *You call out, but from this distance, your voice doesn't reach. That, and it's getting drowned out by the sounds of battle all around you.
  294. * Kirran starts picking his way down to the melee.
  295. <Hal> (So, are we flanking the group of Goryias and Lizalfols?)
  296. <DM> [Ghost Hunter]: Here ya go, Hal, before you roll on down, try this out...
  297. <DM> *Ghost Hunter, having extracted the soul of a Keese, then molds it with a flame, and casts some sort of buff on you. You feel light on your feet, with the powers of the wind at your control.
  298. <DM> [Ghost Hunter]: Should help ya against those flyers, at least for the time being. Oh, and it should let you redirect an attack or so, if you need to.
  299. <DM> [Ghost Hunter]: I'll be extracting more souls, so if you take any more fellas down, holler and I'll be there!
  300. <Kirran> (Powers of the Wind eh?)
  301. <DM> (eyyyyyyy)
  302. * Hal feels a bit elated, as if the pressure had been lifted from him a little bit.
  303. <Hal> Thanks. Now I get to harness the true power of the Wind!
  304. <DM> *Also your Wind Torrents gain 5 Dice
  305. <DM> [Ghost Hunter]: Kirran bud, I'll show you how to do that later. Preferably when something won't come out of the wordworks to shank me while I'm showin' ya.
  306. <DM> *Regarding flanking, yes, you think you can sneak down and get behind the enemy group.
  307. <Hal> (How many are present?)
  308. <DM> *There's... 3 Lizalfos and 2 Goriyas. One of the Goriyas is locked onto Impa. She's using a large Claymore in a reverse grip, trying to break past, but the Goriya's mimic skills allow it to match someone of her prowess evenly.
  309. <DM> *Impa is aided by the other two of Dex's Goons, and with them outnumbered, they can't flank the Goriyas.
  310. <Hal> Kirran, shall we flank the enemy?
  311. <DM> *Biggoron would help, but he's dealing with the Aquamentus trying to fly in from above.
  312. <Kirran> Seems to be our best bet.
  313. <Hal> Alright. Let's roll.
  314. <DM> *You head on down, slipping past Biggoron's wrestling spree, and finding a nice ledge situated behind the enemy group.
  315. <DM> *With Luggins freed up from helping Biggoron, he proudly charges in from uphill, helping out his boss and the fellow goons.
  316. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: WHO'S LOOKIN' TA PARTY!
  317. <DM> Luggins = 1
  318. <DM> $1d2
  319. <Navi> DM: You flipped 1 coin. Result: Tails.
  320. <DM> *Luggins, screaming at the top of his lungs and losing the element of surprise, ends up landing directly in the middle of the group of enemies. One of the Lizalfos immediately corners him, whacking him with its tail and knocking him onto the ground.
  321. * Kirran facepalms
  322. <DM> *Impa's about to retort, but the Goriya in front of her presses onwards with its Bladed Boomerang, pushing her back. Despite the power she's wielding from that claymore, and her own speed, somehow the Goriya continues to match it.
  323. <DM> [Impa]: Darn it, get out of my way, you beast!
  324. <DM> [Goriya]: I will gladly oblige, as soon as you get out of the way yourself. There's some easy pickings behind you. They'd certainly be a treat to feast on!
  325. <DM> [Impa]: Fine, feast on this then!
  326. <DM> *She pulls the claymore back out of the reverse grip, then with flaming hands bolstering her attack, she strikes with a wide swing, in an attempt to catch the Goriya off-guard!
  327. <DM> Impa = Odds
  328. <DM> $1d3
  329. <Navi> DM: You rolled 1 Die with 3 Sides. Result: 2.
  330. <DM> [Goriya]: Hmph, too obvious!
  331. * Kirran takes a shot at the Goriya Impa is aiming at before her strike lands.
  332. <DM> *Roll in the hole!
  333. <Kirran> $51d10
  334. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 51 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 272. Successes: 36.
  335. <DM> (lessee, loses defense dice against anyone other than its target, so....)
  336. <DM> $19d10 Goriya
  337. <Navi> DM: You rolled 19 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 7, 7, 1, 4, 4, 9, 2, 10, 4, 6, 10, 10, 7, 10, 5, 8, 2, 5 and 7. Total: 118. Successes: 17.
  338. <DM> *With an arrow from behind, it lands firmly in its back, piercing its armor!
  339. <DM> [Goriya]: Grah, what was tha-
  340. <DM> *Before it can finish its sentence, a massive blade lops its head off, slicing the beast in two!
  341. <DM> *The Goriya falls over, and Impa looks over to see you. She grins, then immediately goes in on the other Goriya!
  342. <DM> [Impa]: Looks like we outnumber you!
  343. * Hal casts a Great Rejuvination on himself before going for a Revelation on the other Goryia!
  344. <DM> (Fire in the hole!)

  358. <Hal> (That way they can't gain bonuses from mimicry)
  359. <DM> *Your Revelation lands, and the other Goriya suddenly loses its mimicry bonuses!
  360. <DM> *Nearby, Right Said Fred proceeds to go for a Shadow Jump strike, and thanks to the Revelation, plus it's not focusing on him, it's a guaranteed strike!
  361. <Hal> (He's jumping in from the right and striking from the right)
  362. <DM> *With a slice from his dagger, he whirls around in a full on Sheikah dash, spinning as he goes (from left to right, ain't that right), then whirling right back to the right from where he came from!
  363. <DM> *The Goriya falls to the ground, prone to attacks. One of the Lizalfos jumps in to protect it, striking at Right Said Fred
  364. <DM> Lizalfos = Heads
  365. <DM> $1d2
  366. <Navi> DM: You flipped 1 coin. Result: Tails.
  367. <DM> *Right Said Fred's rightside whirling continues, letting him dodge all the rightside attacks in all the right ways, leaving the Lizalfos blindsided from the right!
  368. <DM> *The other two Lizalfos back off, trying to Camouflage and escape off the cliffside. However, they both incidentally leap right past the ledge you two are standing on. You two clearly see the two of them, and they don't see you.
  369. <Hal> 21h 8m
  370. <DM> *How would you two like to spell their demises out?
  371. <Hal> (They have poor Power, so I'm gonna whiplash them out of existence)
  372. <DM> (Roll at will!)
  373. <Kirran> (I'd use my gauntlets, but somebody irreversibly cursed them.)
  374. * Hal fires an Overwhelm at one of the passerby Lizalfols, spelling their demise with a powerful whiplash of vines!

  382. <DM> *A mass of vines break out from the cliffside, catching the fleeing Lizalfos! It struggles to break free, but the vines with their overwhelming strength crush the Lizalfos from limb to limb. They then hurl the Lizalfos down the rocky mountainside.
  383. <DM> *The other Lizalfos turns to see you two, then immediately arms a Bombchu aimed right back at you, Hal! However, since it's not properly Camouflaged against you, it doesn't get that sneaky bonus...

  395. <DM> *The Bombchu whirls up to you, but it goes kinda slow. Would you like to reprogram it and launch it back?
  396. <Hal> (Oh wait...)
  397. <DM> (To do so, roll Wisdom to attack!)
  398. * Hal takes the Bombchu and quickly reprograms it with his innate understanding of technology

  406. <Hal> Have a taste of your own medicine!
  407. <DM> *You very quickly and easily send the Bombchu back, and finally realizing just how powerful this thing is, you witness its destructive firepower firsthand as it explodes in front of the Lizalfos! The lizard doesn't die from the explosion, but it is potent enough to launch him off the side, causing him to kersplatter down the mountainside below.
  408. <Hal> Oh man. Where can I get these supercharged bombchus?
  409. <DM> *Up above, nearby, Impa and the others have cleaned up the other enemies.
  410. <DM> [Impa]: From their corpses. Well, if they wouldn't keep flying off the cliff.
  411. <Hal> Might be worth trying to flitch one.
  412. <DM> *She walks up next to you two, stabbing the ground with his blade. It easily pierces the ground with little effort under its great weight.
  413. <DM> [Impa]: Welcome back to the fray. And thanks for the assist, I can't stand how Goriyas just cheat themselves to my skill level.
  414. <Kirran> They've always been pretty good at that.
  415. <Hal> Nothing that a quick little revelation can't fix
  416. <Hal> Those copycats need a hard reality check once in a while
  417. <DM> *She's got some dried blood and dirt over her and serrated cuts across her armor, but otherwise seems fine, albeit a bit weary.
  418. <DM> [Impa]: If you're here, I take it you found Gustaf?
  419. * Kirran relates the story so far.
  420. <DM> [Impa]: Exposition... no... it can't be...
  421. <DM> [Impa]: More exposition?!
  422. <DM> *With your Great Fairy in a bottle, more exposition is relayed back in hyperspeed.
  423. <DM> [Impa]: I see. Well, unfortunately we haven't seen Gustaf over here.
  424. <DM> [Impa]: And if he's amped up as much as you say he is, we'd probably have noticed him down the east path by now.
  425. * Hal gulps
  426. <Hal> That would mean he's fallen into the volcano.
  427. <Hal> ... somehow.
  428. <DM> [Impa]: Not necessarily. You said that happened when the mountain peak fell?
  429. <Hal> Yes.
  430. <DM> [Impa]: Shortly before then, we were chasing a particular Lizalfos, who's been weaving in and out of our backlines. He's faster than even me, and he doesn't hesitate to use hostages.
  431. <Hal> So he's been taken hostage?
  432. <DM> [Impa]: Biggoron punched him away, but then the mountain fell, and we haven't seen him since.
  433. <DM> [Impa]: Possibly. It's just a guess, but seeing as that Lizalfos hasn't resurfaced, either he's hunting the next prey, or he's got Gustaf.
  434. <Hal> Either way that Lizalfols is probably toast.
  435. <Hal> Or will be
  436. <Kirran> Wouldn't Gustaf's armor fry a Lizalfos brain? I can't even imagine one being able to handle that much Fierce deity input.
  437. <Hal> (I've been summoned to run an errand.)
  438. <DM> [Impa]: I hope so. I'd rather not deal with that thing again. Whoever it was, he was incredibly skilled at assassination and escape.
  439. <DM> (Alright)
  440. <DM> (AFK, or out for the count?)
  441. <Hal> (So be back probably 10-20 minutes depending on how quick I get this)
  442. <DM> (Okay)
  443. <DM> *There's a loud chorus of roars from below, followed by the gush of flames.
  444. <DM> [Impa]: Dangit, the Dodongos must have broken through!
  445. <DM> [Impa]: Kirran, I'll help you with the Gustaf problem as soon as I can, but we have other priorities at the moment.
  446. <Kirran> How can I help?
  447. <DM> *She points lower down the path, around the entrance to Goron City. There, at the path bend right outside Dodondgo's Cavern, you see a group of Dodongos slowly pushing forward onto a group of.. Hylian soldiers?
  448. <DM> [Impa]: A group of Hylian guards got trapped in Dodongo's Cavern, trying to evacuate civilians from Hyrule City to up here. We got the civilians up here in Goron City, but then an Aquamentus blocked off their escape, and we haven't been able to free them since.
  449. <DM> *You also see a decent group of Gorons trying to break their way in from further up the hill with their hammers, but a mix of Lizalfos and Bokoblins are blocking them, with an Aquamentus flying in from above, trying to stomp them over and over.
  450. <Kirran> Well, sneaking over there shouldn't be too hard. Not so sure about sneaking all of them out.
  451. <DM> *Above the Aquamentus, there's some smaller Gorons trying to chuck Bomb Flowers at it, but the Aquamentus hide is too thick for bomb explosions to bring it down.
  452. <DM> [Impa]: Any help at all would be appreciated, really.
  453. <Kirran> I'll do my best chief.
  454. <DM> *Kirran, you happen to notice, through the chaos of it all, there's a Gossip Stone juuuuuust barely inside Dodondgo's Cavern.
  455. <DM> *You also happen to remember your friend Hal picked up something recently for that...
  456. <Kirran> Hmm, I wonder if I could set up an ambush, then maybe teleport over therrree...
  457. * Kirran is considering guerilla tactics in depth.
  458. <Kirran> (Of course, he's also not here, so any plans I make will have to wait)
  459. <DM> *Nearby, a group of three Gorons roll out from Goron City. Covered from head to toe in armor, they start at the top of the slope and roll up, readying themselves to roll on down.
  460. <DM> (I suppose you can chat something out with these Gorons here.)
  461. * Kirran heads for the armored Gorons.
  462. <DM> [Goron1]: Ready ta roll?
  463. <Kirran> Hoy!
  464. <DM> [Goron2]: Oi, yis yis- hoi?
  465. <DM> *The three unroll, then turn to face you.
  466. <Kirran> You boy-os planning on rolling down the path?
  467. <DM> [Goron3]: Oi, we wuz just 'bout ta roll on down an' break the enemy loines!
  468. <Kirran> I think I can set them up to be a little easier to hit, if you'll give me a moment or two.
  469. <DM> [Goron1]: We ain't gots toime, Darunia seys we's gots ta get them Hylians outta there so we's can fall back up ta Goron City!
  470. <DM> [Goron2]: Hold thar, bud. Whatcha mean "easier"?
  471. <Kirran> I give them a little distraction, make them look the wrong way, and you come rolling in from behind.
  472. <DM> [Goron2]: Distraction? We've been droppin' bombs on 'em faster than we grow the flowers, an' they're still fendin' us off!
  473. <Kirran> Don't be worrying 'bout that. They've never seen what a Sheikah can do.
  474. <DM> [Goron2]: Unless yew can do wot Baegba did earlier, Oi'd be 'ard pressed to believe that.
  475. <Kirran> He's a good friend of mine.
  476. <DM> [Goron1]: Wot? Yew know 'im?!
  477. <Kirran> Aye
  478. <DM> *From down below, you hear the Dodongos widely breathing in, about to launch another wave of fire breaths.
  479. <DM> [Goron3]: Oi, we's gots ta go, no toime ta waste! Sheikah, wotever yer doin', make it snappy, we can't let the Dodongos melt the Hylian clunkers.
  480. <Kirran> Alright, when you see a bright flash of light, start rolling on the enemies. If you get all of them, I know where you can get some choice Rock sirloin.
  481. <DM> [Goron1]: Aye, let's roll! Hope Baegba recovers okay, dat Lizzy did a good number on 'im...
  482. <DM> [Goron2]: Will do!
  483. * Kirran heads off towards the group of enemies assailing the gorons below.
  484. <DM> *They all roll up. Somehow, their armor is designed such that it can roll up with them. You're... not sure how that works.
  485. <DM> *You head on down. There's another group of bombs from above, colliding with that flying Aquamentus. This time, the bombs do the trick, blasting one of its wings and causing it to collide into the cliffside. It ends up slumping down in front of you, temporarily dazed, and giving you a nice slope to jump off of.
  486. * Kirran shoves a super bomb in the thing's mouth as I continue traveling downwards.
  487. <DM> *It's about to get back up when it notices an explosive surprise in its mouth. It ends up chomping down on it, forcing it to shoot a fiery blast upslope. You don't kill the Aquamentus by any means, but it does remain out for the count a bit longer.
  488. <DM> *Ahead, you see half a dozen Gorons trying to push through over a dozen Lizalfos, with Bokoblins hopping aboard the Dodongos to get enough height to fire crossbow bolts at the Goron frontline. Using tower shields, they block a good chunk of the arrows, but being forced to defend the projectiles, they can't get through the Lizalfos.
  489. <Orithan> (back)
  490. <DM> (I'm going to assume you're flying in from above?)
  491. <Hal> (Yes, how many rounds has it been?)
  492. <DM> (None, Kirran's about to jump into a battle. Read up a bit.)
  493. <Kirran> (I'm heading in for a sneaky distraction flanking maneuver.)
  494. <DM> *Past that, you see 10 Hylian Guards readying their shields, while a backrow of Hylians behind them are trying to open the next door before the entrance hall turns into a burning oven.
  495. <Hal> (So do I get time to refill my magic?)
  496. * Kirran sneaks in as close as he can behind the group.
  497. <DM> (There was a break at the top while Kirran expositioned to Impa, so yes)
  498. <DM> *Thanks to the setting darkness from above, the only real lights around now are from explosions and anytime something breathes fire. You sneak in successfully with little effort.
  499. <Kirran> Time for a little tasty surprise.
  500. * Kirran readies as much bait as he has with deku nuts, and readies setting it on the path where the Gorons can best hit their targets.
  501. <DM> (Oh my.)
  502. <DM> (Would you like to add some Super Bombs to that while you're at it?)
  503. <Kirran> (Of course)
  504. * Hal downed Green Potion during the break
  505. <DM> *Whelp, with darkness covering you, you ready up a super package.
  506. <Hal> 21h 12m
  507. * Kirran waits for Hal to get himself in position.
  508. * Hal gets himself in position, aiming at the Shiekah stone in Dodongo's Cavern
  509. <DM> *One of the Lizalfos leaps over the Goron line. It's about to strike the Gorons from behind, when it notices you nearby.
  510. <DM> *Or it would, but...
  511. <DM> *Courtesies of that one mask we keep forgetting...
  512. * Kirran whistles extremely loudly, and takes off his mask.
  513. <DM> *Kirran, you're standing still, so uhhh... the Lizalfos does not notice you. Well, okay, NOW it does.
  514. <DM> [Lizalfos]: Krraah?!
  515. * Kirran wafts the scent of the bait there way and waves at them.
  516. <DM> (Shame on you, Mr. Writer, not using the right "their".)
  517. * DM ruuuuuns.
  518. <Kirran> (It's past midnight. My powers are weaker right now)
  519. * Hal puts his shield away and reaches in to grab his trusty remote control
  520. <DM> (it's fine. We'll say you put the mask over the "there", so no one really noticed it.)
  521. <DM> *The lizard tries to focus on you, but the sweet scent of bacon, sizzling from the crackling of some Super Bombs about to go off- wait what?
  522. <DM> *It's drawn towards the bacon, when it sees your super package of doom.
  523. <DM> *Roll Wisdom vs. the Lizalfos, bait roll
  524. <Hal> (Can I warp to the Gossip Stone from my position via remote?)
  525. <Kirran> $36d10
  526. <Navi> Kirran: You rolled 36 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 10, 4, 9, 8, 1, 6, 8, 5, 5, 8, 8, 7, 7, 8, 8, 7, 8, 9, 8, 3, 6, 9, 8, 8, 3, 4, 4, 2, 6, 4, 3, 5, 7, 1, 2 and 7. Total: 216. Successes: 26.
  527. <DM> $23d10 Lizalfos
  528. <Navi> DM: You rolled 23 Dice with 10 Sides. Results: 7, 10, 2, 2, 7, 10, 9, 4, 7, 6, 10, 4, 5, 8, 7, 10, 6, 5, 7, 9, 8, 1 and 10. Total: 154. Successes: 23.
  529. <DM> *Lizalfos is torn between its common sense to run and its common sense to BACOOOOOON!
  530. <Kirran> (Reminder that bait hits all enemies)
  531. <DM> *Correction. All the Lizalfos suddenly get hungry for bacon.
  532. * Kirran casts illusion of creation to make it extra appealing looking, just in case.
  533. <DM> (Just checking, did you get behind the Goron frontlines or behind the Lizalfos lines?)
  534. <DM> *Hal, you point the laser pointer at the Gossip Stone from up there, and thanks to the draw of attention from Kirran's baiting, you manage to get a secure lock on it.
  535. <Kirran> (Behind the lizalfos lines)
  536. <DM> *If you'd like to teleport, now would be the best time, before the fireworks go off.
  537. * Kirran signals to Hal
  538. * Hal nods and points the Remote at the Gossip Stone and presses the button; waiting for Kirran to latch onto him.
  539. * Kirran shadow jumps to Hal's Position.
  540. <DM> *Alright, Kirran you step back as the Lizalfos all turn to see an all-you-can-eat buffet of juicy steaks, baconators, fried cuccoos, and other heavenly delights!
  541. <Hal> (To teleport to the stone)
  542. * Hal notices the suspicious absence of Raine's bipolar psychotic ramblings
  543. <DM> *Combined with the smell, some of them jump onto the package, to find it has an incredibly explosive taste! In fact, it packs such a punch that it launches them back in awe and destruction!
  544. <DM> *You two meanwhile zip past them, landing next to the Gossip Stone, via your new remote control.
  545. * Hal pockets the remote control and draws his shield out.
  546. <Kirran> Now send in the rolling brigade, and that should do it.
  547. <DM> *Now being on the other side of the Dodongos, you watch as a burst of fireworks and flashbangs go off, causing delightful chaos within the Lizalfos and Bokoblin ranks. Shortly afterwards, the Gorons, seeing your signal, roll down the now-flaming slopes (thanks to the Aquamentus), and fly into the air before slamming into the Dodongos with flaming gusto!
  548. <Kirran> I do love a good fireworks show.
  549. <DM> *Striking their tails, the four Dodongos end up stunned, unable to turn Dodongo's Cavern into Dodongo's Oven.
  550. <DM> *With the Lizalfos lines broken, the Gorons are able to break in, handling the remaining Lizalfos and Bokoblins.
  551. <Kirran> Alright Hal, let's get these Hylian soldiers outta here.
  552. <DM> [Raine]: Ahh, gotta love the sound of breakfast in the morning!
  553. <Hal> ALright
  554. <DM> *The Hylian Guards nearby stare with shock and awe at your stunning display.
  555. <DM> [Hylian1]: My Goddesses, what in the blazes?!
  556. <Hal> So, how are we gonna get the Hylian soldiers out of here?
  557. <Kirran> Hey! Let's get this train moving. Princess's orders are to form up at Goron City.
  558. <DM> [Hylian2]: I don't know who you two are, but thanks for that!
  559. <DM> [Hylian3]: Alright, you heard the man who heard the Princess, let's get going! Up and over the Dodongos!
  560. <Hal> Onwards, through the blazes!
  561. <DM> *The Hylians at the back stop trying to open the big frigin' door behind them, and they quickly gather their gear and hop on over the Dodongos and into the fray of Lizalfos, Bokoblins, and Gorons!
  562. <Kirran> Form up and roll out!
  563. <DM> *Towards the back, unfortunately, there's a Hylian who's unable to move.
  564. * Kirran heads over to him
  565. <DM> [Hylian4]: W-wait, my leg's broke!
  566. <Hal> (What condition do they have?)
  567. <Kirran> Great Fairy, anything you can do?
  568. <DM> [Great Fairy]: I can mend it, just gimme a moment.
  569. <DM> *She gets to work, whirling around the Hylian's leg. However, as she's doing that, you hear the smoky breathing of the Dodongos behind you.
  570. <DM> *It seems they're no longer stunned, and they're about to unleash a parade of flames.
  571. <Kirran> (Are their mouths open?)
  572. <DM> *Their mouths do indeed open!
  573. <Hal> (How many?)
  574. <DM> (4 of em)
  575. <Kirran> (Am I even allowed to fire multiple arrows at the same time?)
  576. <DM> *You see lava fill up from inside them, about to unleash four armor-melting breaths.
  577. <DM> (well, you do have that quiver, so... technically you can do two at once)
  578. <Hal> (With Magic Quiver I believe)
  579. <Hal> (I can only toss one)
  580. <DM> (Hylian can toss another)
  581. <Kirran> (So if I fire two, and then magic quiver, that would be four.)
  582. <DM> (wait, what? How are you getting four?)
  583. <DM> (I mean, Magic Quiver gets you the second one)
  584. <Kirran> (If I nock two arrows at the same time and fire them)
  585. <DM> (you can do what now?)
  586. <Hal> (Kirran can fire two. One normal, one Magic. I and Hylian can fire a bomb each)
  587. <Kirran> (That's what I was asking. Because I've never tried it, but it is possible.)
  588. <SubconsciousEye> (can the bowstring even support two arrows at once)
  589. <DM> (If you had more time to prep it up, sure, but as is, you can only launch one base arrow, then another with the magic quiver.)
  590. <Kirran> (Something to work on then)
  591. <DM> (Indeed, Ken!)
  592. * Kirran fires a bomb arrow at one Dodongo, and then Magic Quivers up another at a second.
  593. * Hal tosses a bomb into the mouth of one of the Dodongoes that Kirran did not fire at!
  594. <Hal> Light-em up!
  595. <DM> [Hylian4]: Woah, hold up, I don't think bombs are a good idea- oh screw it. Hope we don't die!
  596. <DM> *He gets out one of his bombs and tosses it into the last open Dodongo's mouth.
  597. <Hal> Dodongoes dislike smoke
  598. <DM> *The four Dodongos kindly eat up the bombs, chomping on them and then smoking from the inside out!
  599. <Hal> Alright, run!
  600. <DM> *However, you now notice all four of them are turning red, blinking wildly as their scales burn from the inside out.
  601. * Hal dashes out of the cavern as the lumbering scaly beasts are stunned
  602. <DM> [Great Fairy]: Got it, run now!
  603. * Kirran sees everyone else out of the cave before exiting quickly himself.
  604. <DM> *Great Fairy continues bolstering the Hylian, allowing him to keep up with you two.
  605. <DM> *As you leap past the Dodongos, which are about to go supernova, you notice everyone else here still caught up in the chaos of clearing up the remaining enemies.
  606. <DM> [Goron1]: Oi, how yew loik that, ye scrawny lizards?!
  607. <DM> [Goron2]: Hammer to da face!
  608. <Hal> Get away! The Dodongoes are about to blow up!
  609. <Kirran> Goron teams, roll up now!
  610. <Kirran> Hylians, duck and cover.
  611. <DM> [Hylian1]: Line up your shields! Mages, barrier up!
  612. <DM> [Hylian2]: Won't they blast through us when they explode?
  613. <DM> [Hylian1]: It's only their fire breath we have to worry about. We can tank this out!
  614. <DM> *The Gorons with shields line up alongside the Hylians in formation, creating a wall. The Hylian backline casts a row of light barriers, as if extending the length of their shields up and outwards to form a protective bubble.
  615. <DM> *Right then, the four Dodongos burn from the inside out before proceeding to explode, emitting a massive collective shockwave! You expect it to level the whole area, but surprisingly, the Hylian and Goron line only moves back a few inches as their combined barrier blocks the blast.
  616. <DM> *The remainder of the blast, however, ends up disintegrating the remainder of the entrance to Dodongo's Cavern, causing the nearby cliffsides to cave in and collapse on itself.
  617. <DM> [Hylian1]: Whoo, we did it!
  618. <Kirran> I think we might be bad for the ecosystem Hal.
  619. <DM> [Hylian2]: Right, everyone, let's go, no time to waste!
  620. <DM> *The light barriers fall, and the Hylians and Gorons regroup to head up the pathway. Though, before they can...
  621. <Hal> Maybe.
  622. <Hal> (cue loading screen)
  623. <DM> *Looking further down the main path, it seems that one 5-Headed Gleeok has finally gotten past that roadblock.
  624. <DM> *With all 5 Heads charging up their own flaming bolts, they unleash an inferno upon all of you! And with the Hylians having just defended a supernova, they're too spent to help protect against this!
  625. <Hal> Get behind me!
  626. * Hal pulls out his Negation Scepter and casts a Dome Shield, covering everyone behind him!
  627. <DM> *Roll it!
  628. <DM> (err is that a roll?)
  629. <Hal> (Are they magic-based?)
  630. <DM> (This particular attack, yes.)
  631. <Hal> (Is it counted as a single attack?)
  632. <DM> (It hits all, but given you're at a chokepoint down here, your Dome Shield should cover to block the attack. So effectively, yes.)
  633. <Hal> (Would Abyss Barrier reflect all of it?)
  634. <DM> (remind me what that does)
  635. <Hal> Abyss Barrier:
  636. <Hal> COSTS: 10 Magic
  637. <Hal> DESCRIPTION: Form a thin, hollow barrier that covers you and your whole team.
  638. <Hal> EFFECT: The next Magic-based attack to strike the barrier is automatically reflected back at the caster at the same success rate. This includes hit-all attacks.
  639. <Hal> Additionally, roll your Base Wisdom and add the result to reflected attack.
  640. <DM> (oh my lord)
  641. <DM> (WHELP, yes)
  642. <DM> (lessee, 5 Heads, so +25... so that's gonna be around....)
  643. * Hal backtracks a little and casts Abyss Barrier to reflect the Gleeok fireballs!
  644. <DM> $65d10 Gleeok

  651. <DM> $calc 48 + 19 + 36
  652. <Kefka> 48 + 19 + 36 = 103
  653. <DM> *Right as the Gleeok's fireball impacts the Abyss Barrier, Kirran's Black-flamed arrow flies through it all, wrapping the whole thing around it in a deadly blazing inferno!
  654. <DM> *It strikes one of the Gleeoks heads, dealing... what's that, 206 damage?
  655. <DM> $70d10 Gleeok Head Defense roll
  656. <Navi> DM: You rolled 70 Dice with 10 Sides. Total: 390. Successes: 50.
  657. <Hal> 21h 2m
  658. <DM> *Your collective attack strikes the Gleeok's head with its mouth still open. It chomps down on the superblaze, proceeding to explode in a burst of black flames!
  659. * Hal then downs another Green Potion
  660. <Hal> 21h 13m
  661. <DM> *The Gleeok's body is about to charge you, when an Aquamentus from above is promptly chucked into the Gleeok, followed by Biggoron doing an elbow slam sandwich into the great Gleeok!
  662. <DM> [Biggoron]: Go! Back to Goron City! I'll hold 'em off!
  663. <Hal> Point taken.
  664. <DM> [Hylian1]: You heard the big man, up the path, let's go!
  665. <Kirran> Nice going brother!
  666. * Hal dashes up and over to Goron City with the Hylians in tow
  667. * Kirran provides cover and coordination with the retreating troops.
  668. <DM> *Having successfully rescued the Hylians, they and the other Gorons head on up the path while Biggoron ends sandwiching one dragon into a larger one. Its heads go wild, breathing fire in every direction as its tries to deal with the great wrestling Biggoron.
  669. <DM> [Biggoron]: Hahahahah... HAHAHAHAH!
  670. <DM> *You head on up, leaving the Biggoron to enjoy his wrestling spree.
  671. <DM> *Finally regrouping up top with Impa and the others, you're about to head on into Goron City, when you hear a loud thump.
  672. <DM> *Not from the direction of Biggoron, but up north, off the cliffside of the volcano.
  673. <DM> *There's another series of thumps, as if great hammers are striking the side of the mountain.
  674. <Hal> Don't tell me... Dark Blue is here...
  675. <DM> [Doc Luggins]: Wait, Oi thought da Gleeok wuz down there. Wot's causin' that commotion?
  676. <DM> *Looking up towards the side of the volcano, a hammerleg whirls onto it, followed by another, and another, until the whole thing comes into view.
  677. * Hal looks over to see the giant mechanical construct come into view, gaping in both awe and terror. "That isn't Dark Blue... this is arguably worse..."
  678. <DM> *Surrounded by scores of Lava Spirits, you see a great mechanical contraption with hammers for legs climbing its way up the volcano. Atop the oversized hammer-spider contraption, there appears to be a massive flamethrower. It slowly turns its way towards you, about to unleash pure devastation across the entire mountaintop.
  679. <DM> [Impa]: Whatever it is, I'm not sticking around for it. Everyone, get into Goron City, now!
  680. <DM> [Goron2]: Wait, wot about Big Brother?
  681. <DM> [Goron3]: Oi'm goin' back fer 'im!
  682. <DM> [Goron1]: No, yew idgits, we's gots ta go roight now, or we're toast too!
  683. <Hal> Alright, into the city! Now. We cannot stand outside any longer.
  684. <DM> *It finally finishes turning the flamethrower. After a quick pause, it unleashes a melting pot of-
