Female: Twenty Israeli startup companies are set to compete for right to travel to Shenzhen china for an international competition. Here to tell us more about the Chinese silicon valley and how Israeli tech leaders are taking over is Lior Wayn, the director of Sino-Isratech. Hello.

Female: So tell us a little abit about this competition.

Male: okay eh, Shenzhen this is the silicon valley of china an amazing place all the big sharks like huawei and Alibaba, and some others. Every year they make an competition between start up all over the world, Israel is one of the sites that have been chosen to take part in their competition. this is the third year that Israeli is taking place in the competition, in the first year i took a place as a competitor and we won the third prize in china.

Female: oh you did okay

Male: yeah with my company

Female: okay so what does that look like? its cash prizes? that you get? if you win or?

Male: yeah its cash prizes, the total amount is something like 1.6 million US dollar, also the Chineseal will support companies that open in china with a big investment and they are dealing with something like 3 billion dears

Female: well i mean there are certainly some Chinese economic tourism here in Israel, a lot of Chinese business people come in to see the various start ups to bring them to silicon valley in china so this is a big deal. in order to make it  i understand you have to finish in the top 10 so its not that simple. how many people are applying?

male: i believe there will be more than 200 competitors by Israel alone, 20 of them will be chosen by the Chinese and those 20 will compete at the mid of merits in Israel.

female: talk to us about the start ups is there anything they're focusing on? cyber tech? is there any kind of specific realm or everything?

male: actually everything, cyber, AR, VR, medical, cancer solutions and anti-cancer solutions and are the Chinese more interested in a specific industry or is it just like you said everything goes?

Male: i think everything goes, what i learnt in the last year was that chinese was to be more than the manufacturers of the world, they really want to take a place and one of the first places as innovation and would really israeli company and some others to pitch them innovation.
