No one will watch TV in the evening on the TV belonged to Siegfeld’s dorm except there’s someone who needed to. That night, Yachiyo wanted to see some costume reference in one of colossal drama. Scribbling a few notes and sketching on what she is taking interest in, Yachiyo lost the track of time when someone entered the living room with a tray on her hand.

“Working hard, Senpai?”

It’s the only time Yachiyo averted her gaze from the TV, to see Shiori who’s smiling back at her. The casual attire of everyone has shifted to a comfortable wear of summer. Shiori got a short-sleeved blouse and a knee-length pleated skirt.

“Ooh? It’s rare for you to give me such service~ thank you for the tea, Shiori.”

“Anytime, Senpai.”

Such change to everyone’s wardrobe is a fresh sight for Yachiyo. As a costume-maker, to see the girls’ preferences over the clothes they wore, would add a plus to her choice of color and embroidery later.

Shiori happened to wear light-colored clothes and skirts from time-to-time. At times, Yachiyo would want to experiment darker color or brighter, stronger color for her like black or red - though the costumes should suit to the type of performance they are doing.

The blonde stayed to sit close next to her, eyes wondering on the note by Yachiyo’s lap. The pinkette knew that the younger Edels will keep her silence by the time she spotted that Yachiyo is working, unless Yachiyo prompted for the girl to talk.

She got the material she needed for costume inspiration--she can opt for a little fun, an ice-breaker.

“... Shiori?”

“Yes, Senpai?”

“Come here~”

“Um, Senpai? You are … gesturing to your lap,” Shiori looked around, her voice decreased. Yachiyo kept on patting at the same spot: her lap. Shiori already know the sign. “W-We are in living room, you know?”

Yachiyo winked, “Just this once?”

“... Fine then, just this once.”

The television is still on, providing background sound. One battle between the main character and the main antagonist about to unveil in the colossal drama, while Shiori replaced Yachiyo’s notes from the lap. The blonde stiffened as Yachiyo wrapped her arms around the smaller girl’s waist.

“S-Senpai?”

“Mm, so warm~” Yachiyo snuggled against the blonde tresses, pressing closer to Shiori’s nape, inhaling the soft, musky scent to herself.

“Hm? Did you change your shampoo?”

“Eh? How do you know?”

“Just a woman’s intuition,” Yachiyo giggled merrily. She then peppered kisses on the visible skin, smiling to herself as the once pale nape turned shades redder. “… But it still smells good.”

“Ya, Yachiyo-senpai, it, it tickles--ah.”

Fast flurry of steps coming from the hallway behind them. They are almost late to react. Yukishiro Akira showed up from the deserted hallway in the middle of night, looking as pensive as ever with her scrunched forehead and glaring eyes.

Siegfeld dormitory does have a strict hour for curfews and all, though Yachiyo was sure it is past the room attendance check but not close to the time for hallway to be cleared.

“... Ah, so it’s only you, Yachiyo.”

“Akira-senpai? Did I bother you because of the TV volume?” Yachiyo greeted the Frau Platin with her signature sneer.

“No, I’m just wondering why the hallway’s lamp is still on. Don’t forget to turn it off later after you finished.”

“O~kay!”

Akira paused for a bit, narrowing her eyes at the pillows and the person who dives in the pillows for a bit, hiding her head. “Is that … Shiori?”

“She was watching this colossal movie with me but she fell asleep. I’ll wake her later and take her to her room.” the pinkette waved her hand.

“Don’t make her to follow your bad example of unhealthy all-nighter.”

“Noted, Akira-senpai!”

The television movie continued as the main character defeated the main enemy and rolling up a little dramatic, post ending scene as Akira’s shadow disappeared from the lobby and for a pillow to land on Yachiyo’s face.

Between the pillow slap, Yachiyo could spot the teary-eyed, reddened blonde’s face.

“Mou, Senpai! I, I told you so!”

“My bad, my bad~” the attack from different pillows is not stopping from Shiori, Yachiyo doubled over in amusement.

‘Just for once’ to be affectionate out in the open is not a bad thing, isn’t it?
