  1. 23:00] Yvette says, "Oi! What's this place called? "
  2. [23:00] Eurya says, "Moonfall."
  3. [23:00] Eurya asks, "What're you called?"
  4. [23:08] Yvette says, "I am called, Yvette."
  5. [23:08] Eurya says, "Nice to meet you, I am Eurya."
  6. [23:08] Yvette says, "Why's it called Moonfall? Piece of rock land here years ago or something."
  7. [23:09] Eurya says, "I actually don't know, honestly."
  8. [23:09] Eurya asks, "Why is the main city called Osrona?"
  9. [23:09] Eurya says, "Maybe it's just an arbitrary name."
  10. [23:09] Yvette says, "Eh? Eurya, weird name. "
  11. [23:10] Eurya says, "Yeah, I think it's based off of a plant or something."
  12. [23:10] Yvette says, "As for Osrona! No clue, figured it was named after some old queen or something."
  13. [23:10] Eurya says, "Neat. Maybe we had a village leader named Moonfall then."
  14. [23:10] Eurya asks, "What brings you to our village, by the way?"
  15. [23:10] Yvette settled her hands into her pockets, leaning back for a moment as she looked around.
  16. (Yvette)
  17. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  18.
  19. [23:10] Yvette says, "Got lost in the woods."
  20. [23:10] Eurya says, ".. Yeah, the worlds a big place huh."
  21. [23:11] Eurya says, "Well welcome."
  22. [23:11] Eurya says, "If I can help with anything, let me know."
  23. [23:11] Yvette says, "Well actually, now that you mention it I have been in need of something quite dire."
  24. [23:13] Eurya says, "Well tell me."
  25. [23:13] Eurya says, "If I can help, I will."
  26. [23:13] Yvette strolled over to hop upon the edge of an empty stall. Looking at Phobos curiously, sleeping standing up. Impressive to be sure! Then her attention returned to Eurya. "That's exactly the type of friendly attitude I'd expect from someone who lives in a tiny village!"
  27. (Yvette)
  28. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  29.
  30. [23:14] Yvette says, "Though if I'm being honest, you're sorta already doing it. As you can imagine the woods are boring... Want to fight? You've got a weighty looking staff there. "
  31. [23:15] Eurya would blink, and then awkwardly look around the ghost village. It wouldn't help to be mean right now, she assumed - not many people to talk too anyways. "I suppose so... If you want to fight though, we can. I wouldn't be opposed to a spar."
  32. (Eurya)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [23:15] Eurya asks, "What kind of magic do you use?"
  36. [23:19] Flashed a cocky smirk towards Eurya, bringing her hands up she'd curl her hands into two fists. "I'm a muscle wizard!" It was a bold declaration, only the mightiest could claim such. Despite this though she certainly didn't look all that muscular.
  37.
  38. Though after a second she'd uncurl her right hand and wiggle a finger, a gust of wind curling into a itty bitty tornado at the tip. "Winds are something of a specialty of mine as well... Ah! I can also scream loud enough to crack stone." After that she'd slide her hands into her pant's pockets. "I know, hard to believe I could be so loud but it's true."
  39.
  40. (Yvette)
  41. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  42.
  43. [23:24] Eurya raised her eyebrow at the term 'muscle-wizard'. That was a new one for the woman, but the edges of her lips would twitch into a smile at the enthusiastic youth. It was clear that since they didn't know quite where they were, they may not expect the sudden change; but in an abrupt flow of her mana, the black haired woman let out the flow of the Occult around her.
  44.
  45. "I'm an Occultist, and I dabble in time - hence why I live in this village and not the city. We're more welcoming around here." Amusingly, she didn't make mention of the Witches or other types that 'lurked' in the woods; since as of recent? They had all been rather... Missing.
  46.
  47. Theria, likely.
  48.
  49. While nodding her head she would gesture towards the vale - the distance depths of their village's forest where sparring often happened. "We can go off that way, or we can spar right here. I don't mind - just don't burst my ear drums with a scream, alright? Being deaf would be very...
  50.
  51. Boring."
  52. (Eurya)
  53. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  54.
  55. [23:35] Whistled at the sudden outpouring of Occultic power wasn't that something to see? Though, despite perhaps taking on a more defensive posture. Her expression only faltered for a brief second before it returned to that cocky grin! She'd seen enough Occultists lurking about the slums of Theria to know they weren't good news.
  56.
  57. "W-well- Erm." A hand came up quickly to cover a cough. "Occultism that's phew! Alrighty than." Her expression faltered briefly from arrogance to concern before she'd re-apply that confident smirk. Her gaze shifted to the north for a moment then back to Eurya. Offering a shrug in response to the answer. "Your village not mine Eurya, you get to choose!"
  58.
  59. There was a brief pause after that before she spoke again. "And I can't promise about the going deaf thing. I'm a bit of a screamer, but hey! At-least the last thing you'd hear is my voice how cool is that?"
  60. (Yvette)
  61. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  62.
  63. [23:37] Eurya says, "C'mon. we'll go to the Vale. More space."
  64. [23:39] Yvette says, "Well this place looks... Hmm, haunted that's the word."
  65. [23:42] Into the depths of the village, past the guard and cavernous entrance, Eurya would lead her new companion to the shaded forest Vale. It was the usual place of combat, after all, and she wouldn't want to cause a ruckus in the city - not necessarily wanting to be scolded by the four people who lived there still. "Haunted huh? Yeah, they say its full of Spirits - unfortunately I am not one of the few who can see them, but others can." The showing of a smile as she looked around the forest, the peaceful atmosphere only broken up by the distance howls of creatures further inside.
  66.
  67. "If you think I'm being too violent or something, let me know okay? I don't have much battle experience under my belt.
  68.
  69. Very few people to fight, here recently." She sighed - lamenting their empty village, before she'd draw her staff.
  70.
  71. Nodding the way of Yvette, to attack whenever she wanted.
  72. (Eurya)
  73. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  74.
  75. [23:46] Yvette settled her fists atop her hips looking around at the old ruins. She'd offer a nod at the mention of spirits. "Spooky, guess I'll have to say a prayer to that big dragon."
  76.
  77. Her attention shifted back to Eurya's offer, to violent? Well... She just shrugged, hands slipping into her pockets. Pulling out a set of what appeared to be metal knuckle-dusters. Hard to tail since they where covered in some dark paint. So as not to be seen at night?
  78.
  79. "Well, I can't say I've got much more experience than you do so... Hey, the offer's returned?" With that she'd start the battle off with a whistle, the sound loud and sharp. Followed of course by the short teens rushdown tactics.
  80. (Yvette)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [23:55] Eurya says, "lyvillage."
  84. [23:56] Eurya won - but maybe only from the age gap. Surprisingly? Her opponent actually hit hard, and she wasn't lying about the voice - the loud opressive magically augmented noises being enough to ruffle Eurya, and make her stumble on occasion, but the Occultist managed to win relatively handily.
  85.
  86. Even if at one point in the second half of the battle, it started to seem rather close. With a blast of the Occult, she'd come in from the side and raise a leg - dragging it back before bringing it into a snapping kick that would launch the poor Yvette to the ground. Painful, but not exactly a brutalizing move one might expect from an Occultist; Eurya obviously mindful of herself, even if the crackling aura seemed like it wanted more out of her.
  87.
  88. "Mmm... That's actually not what I expected." She was a bit sore! Walking over, Eurya looked down the way of Yvette and then offered her arm to help the girl up - smiling, just a bit as the crackling Occult scattered into the wind. "Usually people who ask for spars just kind of run in swinging their arms, but I can tell you might be trouble one day.
  89.
  90. Good job. No chance you want to learn the Occult eh? I'm looking for students... Especially since the village needs new faces." It was genuine - and quite obvious in fact. It had seemed like a mass migration to Eurya, her friends, teacher, and enemies all seeming to up and vanish from the village without so much of a goodbye.
  91.
  92. The woman herself not able to find life in Theria as grand as others.
  93. (Eurya)
  94. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  95.
  96.
  97. [00:16] "Hmm.. Well I'm sure you can." Eurya would state as if it was relatively natural around here - that was their reputation after all. Some unfortunate members of Moonfall openly feeding into the bigoted reputation garnered from historians over exaggeration's of a Witches lifestyle, leading to their problem now. Where it could have all been done in secret and people could have worked towards the publics favor? It had instead turned with the Demon loving and Baby eating part, and only half of it was true.
  98.
  99. "Occultism is... Well, it's inherently something that was used by Demon's, but Human's partake too. Instead of following religious zeal, or the control and positive influence garnered by Holy Mages and the like; it's more of a magic about feeding into your negative emotions.
  100.
  101. Things that the city would normally consider y'know, bad. Embracing your anger, greed, pride, lust and etcetera instead of turning awayfrom those things." Eurya would shrug - it was a bit more complicated than that, clearly - but she would add for reference; "I have never eaten a baby. I'd prefer to let them be adults, more meat to work with." A smirk creepy across her features towards the end - maybe she was being serious, maybe she wasn't; though with Moonfalls reputation?
  102.
  103. One might think that she was entirely serious.
  104.
  105. "Learning the Occult gave me control back in my life though, even if it comes with negatives; like Knights hating me, and me being banned from the city... But I wouldn't take back any second of it.
  106.
  107. It's not a good magic, by any means - but if you don't care about being 'good', then it's a fine path to follow - it's about doing what's necessary. Like just now.. You were going to throw that dirt in my eye's and blind me, weren't you? That's not a /good/ thing to do.. But you wanted to win, right? By any means necessary."
  108. (Eurya)
  109. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  110.
  111. [00:26] Sort of took a second to shake the hand that's lifted her up as Eurya talked. Though it didn't seem to be for any other reason than she could at the time. Sienna hues glanced from that arm towards Eurya's face. The young brawler was about to make mention of how she didn't really care about Osrona in the slightest but then there was that smirk creepy.
  112.
  113. A very nope expression lit up her features as she slide a few feet away. "Weeelll, good thing I'm not fat." Ture enough she wasn't, so that was a plus! Less chances of Occultism eating her or that's what she'd thought at the moment anyways.
  114.
  115. When she was finally called out about the dirt she'd bring a hand up to scratch her nose sheepishly. "Ehehe, Yea... I was gonna toss it in your eyes and then kick you below the belt in the same motion." There was a bit to much of a touch of pride to her tone as she said that.
  116.
  117. Finally though she'd settle her fists onto her hips. "Well, what else you got to offer me? I'll have you know that back in Theria I'm a celebrity, oh yeah all the Merc guilds want me." Opportunistic at the least.
  118. (Yvette)
  119. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  120.
  121. [00:31] * You have been awarded 4 Roleplay Points! *
  122. [00:33] Eurya giggled as she scooted away - and then she'd shrug. "I don't eat people, don't worry - the village isn't full of cannibals. We sacrifice to appease spirits and our lord, which is just a fancy way of saying we execute as much as Osrona does." And it did seem to be a lot - every time Eurya would get an, admittedly old, news paper she'd read a headline or four about who lost their heads.
  123.
  124. At least in the village, deaths were put to some kind of use.
  125.
  126. "Nothing else - I'm not buying you, just seeing if you're interested. Truth be told, I'm still an apprentice myself - but my teacher has been gone for some time now, and I'd rather start working with my talents and doing something on my own.
  127.
  128. I guess you Theria folk wouldn't be much for it though - but I'll warn you in advance. I am of the opinion that all of these new Mercenary groups that seem to be popping up will have as much to do asOsrona's many guilds, which is? Nothing. At all. Knights and Moonfall fighting are the big topics right now... I doubt you want your talents wasted on chores for a group of Merc's." A lopsided grin as she insulted both Theria and Osrona in one go, seeming to have little love for either; though less malice seemed to be coating her voice when talking about Theria, at least.
  129.
  130. "Though I have considered going up there myself. My best friend, Anathe, lives there now.. I miss him quite a bit.
  131.
  132. I just want to do actual work and things, rather than play pretend to get a little gold in my pocket."
  133. (Eurya)
  134. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  135.
  136. [00:40] Well she'd given it a shot at-least, couldn't blame her for trying anyways. Though the more she described the world scape the less of a real argument Yvette could give. After all even if she join the Ardent Shields as had been her want, she would just be on guard duty at the gate. Not all that impressive... A hand came to rub the back of her head as she did so.
  137.
  138. "Okay, you caught me just a little. I'll admit your magic packed a punch so..." Her hands came to cross as she thought about it a little more. Her gaze shifting towards the dirt for a moment. "Don't know any Anathe, but it's a big city..." Finally she'd look back up to Eurya.
  139.
  140. "Alright, color me interested but warning you now if you start up with the baby thing I'ma split. Also not gonna be a yes-man for you, Yvette's no toady."
  141. (Yvette)
  142. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  143.
  144. [00:45] "I ain't hunting for a yes man, lookin' for someone who can live for themselves - but if I ask you to get your hands dirty, outside of the y'know.. Baby eating and general people eating, I'll expect a yes ma'am at least." That was said with a smirk - the woman walking while one of her hands found its way into her pocket, and the other to raise and pat Yvette on the shoulder. "C'mon, the guard is half senile."
  145.
  146. Where she had once talked with a relative sense of elegance and sounded well educated? When relaxed, it seemed Eurya had something of an accent - her countryside forest heritage showing clear in her voice. "He doesn't let anyone out or in, kind of odd really."
  147.
  148. "We'll meet up tomorrow and have a chat - it's gotten rather late, and I've had a long day - need the sleep. Then we can start lessons or something, sound good to you? I have two more than may join you, if they haven't jumped ship for Theria.
  149.
  150. I'm sure they'll come running back when the boredom fades." With a squeeze of Yvette's shoulder, the Occultist kept walking - heading towards the exit back to the village.
  151. (Eurya)
  152. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  153.
  154. [00:53] Grunted at the mention of obeying orders but that wouldn't be all that hard to do. Though at the pat on her shoulder she'd half-expected the point to be pushed before it shifted to talk of the guard. Oh, right that odd person just standing outside.
  155.
  156. "Alright, I understand it's a little late." She'd bring a hand up to rub the back of her neck for a moment. "It's all up to you... Ma'am, you're the teacher." It was clear the word ma'am didn't sit well with her. No doubt respect of any kind wasn't something she was used to giving out.
  157.
  158. Though they started walking she'd follow along, matching pace beside Eurya as they did so. "Yea, I imagine the excitement will fade for them after a while."
  159. (Yvette)
  160. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  161.
  162. [00:57] "No need for Ma'ams unless it's serious, just call me Eurya. You'll be able to figure out the tone relatively easily." Walking past the guard, she'd ignore the senile figure who squinted at Yvette but didn't much say anything regarding her passing; the two walking back into the daylight of the village, which would leave Eurya squinting for her eyes to adjust.
  163.
  164. "If anyone asks, just tell them you're doing an apprenticeship in the village. Don't be rude to anyone, because people aren't as carefree as me... Other than that, welcome to Moonfall.
  165.
  166. Find me tomorrow for lessons hm? We'll talk about your future and figure out where you're going then." Then she'd throw a hand up in a wave, walking off towards one of the treehouses; looking to find a nice nap.
  167.
  168. Yawning as she went.
  169. (Eurya)
