- A week has passed since the monster attack. The shopping district was filled people today as usual. Many stores and business were open for the clientele that would arrive at this busy hour. One of these places happened to be a cafe, the outside painted in glossy colors, the sign above reading Maid Service Cafe.
- Inside the cafe, the tables were filled with people drinking coffee, chatting and eating. On the cashier stood the owner of the cafe, wearing a red jacket with her name tag and attending the clients with her usual smirk. "Saria. Please take these two to table 8. And do it with a cute smile and showing a bit of leg." The fact that one of the clients groaned meant that they were regulars at the cafe.
- Saria rolled her eyes as she walked over to table right. As the name implied Saria was dressed in a maid outfit. It was the kind you see in media so it was a bit embarrassing for Saria. Still she smiled as the two she led sat down at the table. "I'll be back to take your orders in a second."
- Both clients nodded and looked over the menu as Saria walked back to the cashier. Jo smiled at the latter." Saria, can you go to the kitchen and check if table 3's order is ready? It should be done right now. Oh, and tell Dani to put her phone down right now. It's getting to rush hour soon."
- "Got it." Saria said as she went back into the kitchen. "Hey Dani, is the order for table three ready yet? And Jo wants you to get off the phone. It's getting close to rush hour."
- "Huh? Yeah, it's ready an- what?! Already?! And this episode of Gaoranger was getting good." Danielle replied, placing her phone away. "Fine. Here." She passed the order for table 3 to Saria and focused on the food she was making. She was wearing the white clothes that were required for cooks, her hair in a hairnet and under a chef's hat.
- Saria rolled her eyes at Dani's obsession with Super Sentai and Kamen Rider as she took the order. Without missing a beat she took it over to table three. "Here's your order." She told them as she went back to Jo to see if there was anything else she needed to do.
- "If you're done sweetie, follow me to my office. I got a few people to cover for you and me for the rest of the day. We need to talk business." Jo said, with her usual smirk. However, on a napkin she had drawn a sword. A sign she developed to tell Saria it was their "other" business.
- Saria frowned slightly at the sign but to keep up appearances she rolled her eyes as she followed Jo back to her office. "Has there been another attack?" Saria asked a bit anxious. There hadn't been any trouble since the first day and while she had been training, the quiet made her nervous.
- "Not that I saw but the alarm sounded. Which means it's possible another magic slip has been detected." Jo explained as she locked the door to her office then walked behind her chair. Tapping the wall three times, it opened and she walked through, leading Saria inside.
- The two were now in the hideout and Jo walked over to the screen. She got to work on the keyboard, looking over every corner of the city. "Here's a little reminder of what magic slips are, simply to keep you on top of your game. They're like random, one way portals from where those monsters come from. With the seal now broken, they can happen at anytime. Fortunately, the system's been synchronized to react to the wavelengths of the magic slips the monsters go through. Also, with the miracle called the internet, we can figure out if there had been attacks and where they started from. Be sure to write this down, it'll be in the next exam." She added the last sentence teasingly in a joking manner.
- Saria rolled her eyes a bit at the last part. "Yeah, yeah I get it Jo. So we know that there was a slip but we have no idea if there is an actual attack yet, right? Should I head out now or wait?"
- "Go and scout the area, Saria. But remember that you can't be seen. And if you are, hide your face and leave no evidence of your identity." Jo replied. "The last thing we need is the government or some curious fools deciding to get nosy in this. And under no circumstances should you reveal your identity to anyone, even your closest friends and family. I know I told you this before but I need to stress the importance of this. I'll stay here and keep an eye out for more news and such."
- "Right." Saria said as in a flash of light, where once stood a maid, there was a warrior in black armor with purple hair. "Just keep an eye on things here." Saria went out to the area where the magical slip had opened. Hopefully she could find it easily and destroy it before it caused any problems.
- The magic slip was reacting erratically, still pulsating in and out of existence. As Saria got closer, the pulsations became more erratic until it surrounded the area in a bright light. When it dissipated, a giant minotaur stood where the slip was. It had a stupid looking expression on its face and its erect horn was exposed for all to see.
- "Well good. Now I don't have to look for you." Saria said as she pointed one of her swords at the monster. Without waiting for any kind of response from the monster Saria charged right in, her blades swinging out at it. She was not going to give it a chance to fight back.
