  1. Cables are horrible. The Y shape piece of plastic where the cable splits always twists no matter what you do. The cable without the microphone still has the volume wheel/mute switch dongle so it has added weight for no reason. Worst part about the mic being attached to the cable is you can’t use the mic with another cable if I were to order one so I’m stuck with it.

  3. Microphone is way to long and because it's too long it's always in your peripheral vision and wobbles excessively. It should have been half the length. However the sound quality is good.

  5. These guys are heavy. I knew they would be heavier than my AD500X but I wasn't expecting it to be this heavy. You can definitely feel the weight of these after wearing them a while and the same goes for the headband. After about an hour I can feel it beginning to dig into the top of my head. The headband could have used more padding and should have been more loose because it feels like it's constantly trying to retract.

  7. Overall build quality is pretty good. The person I bought these off of was in the 50s for Contribution IDs and I know some of the earlier units had quality issues but these seem fine. There are a few blemishes but you have to look really close to see them.

  9. As for the sound I don’t really know what to say, I’m not an audiophile so I don’t know how to describe what I hear. Overall they definitely sound better than my AD500X but $200 better? That’s hard to say. The sound stages are on par and the Erupts are for sure better in the imaging and bass departments.
