  1. Paradise: Minerals and Gemstones of Note
  2.
  3. [Eleoite]
  4. Part of the Resources of this Planet, though the information is hard to gather unless you know how to look for it, are elementally charged ‘Catalyst Crystals’, also known as Eleoite, that exist within the Planetary Crust. These Crystals take on a brilliant Iridescent Purple-Blue Hue when turned under normal lighting conditions, but are a brilliant and near-blinding Orange-Red under Blacklight. To be usable as anything but a decoration requires knowledge into refining and recombining these Catalyst Crystals, which seems to be such a well kept secret that even the Archival Databases don’t have a shred of information regarding this process.
  5.
  6. Eleioite can be warm, cold, or neutral to the touch. Depending on the dormant potential, it may feel like a sun-warmed rock, a frozen stone, or a mild hum of inert electricity. Eleioite is extremely valuable, especially within black-Market circles on Paradise.
  7.
  8. [Mytanum]
  9. A rich red-black Metal that can be found in veins within the porous white rocks on Paradise. This metal’s melting temperature is 100°C/212°F, roughly the same temperature that Water begins to boil. While melted and liquefied, Mytanum can be used to ‘dip’ other objects into to give them the ever-glossy oily black-red tint that this Metal is known for. Enamel has proven useful in keeping Mytanum sealed to an object.
  10.
  11. If you have the resources to do so, superheating Mytanum to 1,538 °C/2,800°F (roughly the same temperature as melting Iron), using it to coat an object that won’t be destroyed by the temperature while Molten, and quenching it immediately in Saltwater will essentially ‘Freeze’ the Mytanum and prevent it from melting ever again. Doing this removes its shine and makes the surface of the metal matte and rough to the touch while removing much of its Red undertones. It is often used to color and plate Trollian Starships.
  12.
  13. [Lookingglass Agate / Fuchsia’s Tears]
  14. Lookingglass Agate is a hard, amber-like Substance that is magenta in coloration. Species of small insect up to small mammals, reptiles, fish, and amphibians have been reported found within specimens of this Gemstone. Where Lookingglass Agate varies from Ambers found on Other Planets is the contents of its creatures and Samples; despite a carbon age on most pieces of Agate dating back nearly 90,000 Years, the specimens contained seem to be recent as they display Native lifeforms currently still living on the surface of Paradise.
  15.
  16. The Agate itself is nearly impossible to chip, grind, cut, or melt unless utilizing excessive force to do so. Under water, Lookingglass Agate shows the reasoning behind its name: the surface of this Gemstone turns silvery-white and reflects everything around it with stunning clarity. This is because the Gemstone is Hydrophobic and is actually trapping an air pocket around its surface.
