Johnathan telling Algar about meditation

Johnathan was reading a book, "The Legend of Ryujiin's Chosen". Johnathan had remained at home for his kids; helping raise them instead of adventuring or going on missions for the Cosmic Knights. His Daughter Kara was now an "Knight" of the Cosmic Knights. He was proud of her. He had high expectations for Algar as well.

Waking up from a brief sleep. Algar would stretch his arms and head to the bath room to get ready for the day. Soon to head down stairs for a quick snack to fill his belly.

As Algar had gotten himself together, he headed downstairs and was greeted by his fathers appearance. He would soon make his way over to his father and sit down beside him as he said yawnfully "Hey pops. . . . Do you know anything about meditation?" he questioned his father

"Uh. . . Nevermind. Whats for breakfast." he said changing the subject

Johnathan put a bookmark where he was in the book and closed it; setting it aside. He turned to Algar; a warm smile on his face.

"Mediation is used to find oneself, to connect on a deeper level with oneself, to unlock magical power and to calm oneself. Mediation is key to using various magics; if not unlocking them. Sometimes you can have visions or even commune with stars if a cosmic mage or even talk to yourself; your soul if you are a reincarnation of someone. Why do you ask?" Johnathan asked his Son with a warm smile on his face.

 Algar's eyes would flare up with surprise as his father had avoided his idiotic question about breakfast when the both of them knew that it was way past morning and it was soon to be night. Algar just had a very long nap, thats the reason why he had awoken so late.

But Algar would listen closely and carefully as his father would dive further into mediation, as how its to connect with a deeper level with oneself and even having the power to unlock something within yourself and even calm you down.

Then his eyes would dialate as he asked him upon why he was curious about such a thing.

"Well ......" he started off as he looked at the floor.

"I had heard a voice in my head one time when I was in fight and..... I asked someone about it..... someone who seemed like they experianced what I had and...... They told me that I could learn who the voice is if I meditate, so I was just curious. Thats all..... Anyway, whats that book that you have there!"

Johnathan listened as his Son spoke. He was cautious at the explaination. Things sorted themselves out in the end. If Algar was corrupted, he'd sense it and cleanse him. Algar wasn't corrupt as far as the very experienced Mage could tell and so Johnathan decided not to pressure him about it.

"I once heard a voice in my mind. I went into a deep level meditation and encountered my soul; the person I was in my previous life. I communed with him more than once. He even saved me from being overcome by the nightmarization. After that incident my soul deep within me continued to slumber. So, I can understand how you feel. You should meditate and try and find out who is trying to commune with you" Johnathan said with a warm smile.

"As for a book, it's just a historical account on the first Drakanite. Given your sister recovered the Sword of Ryujiin; a Ryujiin Priest blessed Sword, I thought delving into the history of her race might help her in the future. I'm only partially Drakanite, after all. So, how goes your training, Son?" Johnathan asked his boy.

 Algar would watch as his father would soon reach over and cleanse him. At first he didn't know what his father was doing but he felt a sense of relief as his father had touched him. As if it washed away whatever sins he had committeed. The only things that he could think of at the moment was when he fought with rage during his confrontation with an Oscuri and that other time that he took the lives of three creatures who roamed around in the forest. Other than that, it was blank. But it did give him a relieving feeling from that weight on his shoulders.

He then listened heavily as his Father had told him as how he had met his past reincarnation and how it had saved him from sort of nightmare. Then his father told him to meditate and try to find out who was trying to talk to him. Which was his plan in the first place. Then his father told him of the book that he was reading and went on to ask him about his training to which he responded

"No well really, I've just been sleeping for a while. Trying to find out how I can become a treasure hunter! Like you!"

Johnathan listened as his Son spoke. He smiled warmly at him.

"If you want to become a great treasure hunter, go out and explore, find maps, buy maps; just explore and go on adventure and treasure will find you. Come, let's go on a treasure hunt together" Johnathan said; getting up. He'd take his Son on a treasure hunt. Johnathan was very keen on being in his children's lives, just as his Father was in his.
