What is Momentum Mod?

momentum is a 100% free standalone surfing/bhopping/more game with accurate css movement physics, being developed by Gocnak and a volunteer team. it's got a lot of really awesome features that aren't possible on regular servers. right now it's in private alpha testing: i cannot get you a key, do not ask!!! i used to contribute regularly to the project but have not recently at the time of writing. check out the website and discord for more info: https://momentum-mod.org/ https://discord.gg/n4v52uv

Why CSS/Momentum? Why KSF?

CSS/Momentum have the (subjectively) best airstrafing/movement mechanics of the Source games (for kz/surf/bhop)
CSS/Momentum have model sizes/hitboxes most appropriate for surf/the vast majority of surf maps were designed with CSS hitboxes in mind
CSS/Momentum has prestrafing, CSGO/TF2 do not without plugins (and the plugins are whacky)
KSF-CSS is, far and away, the server with the most competitive world records and players
Skillsurf maps are made for 66t (with very few exceptions); higher tickrates are usually only for combatsurf and tricksurf
