- Who's a Pretty Pony? C3
- Happy Valentine's Day, you wonderful bunch.
- >you are warm, and sleepy
- >it’s morning, and a lazy one at that
- >the bed you’re on is small but soft, and you feel like you’re floating
- >the covers are rather messily thrown about, but the temperature is perfect even in the fresh spring air because you’re sharing this bed
- >you haven’t opened your eyes yet, barely awake, drifting in quiet, warm nothingness
- >you’re lying on your side, face half buried in the soft, purple mane
- >the delicate aroma, like the faintest sweet lavender soothes your every breath
- >you open an eye, like a probe sent out to check the unknown
- >you were not ready for the sight
- >Twilight’s relaxed, sleeping face just a few inches from yours, silently breathing in and out
- >her mane curled under her jaw and over her face, circling around to yours
- >she has both front hooves up, one on your upper chest, the other against your neck
- >bodies softly pressed against each other, you notice your arm is comfortably snaked over her side, going up her back
- >your right arm is asleep, but then again, so is most of you
- >her closed eyelids move ever so slightly
- >you wonder what she’s dreaming about
- >you would most likely end up doodling this image at some point
- >her mouth was open ever so slightly, the moist, inviting lips
- >there was a light flush across her cheeks, her soft, smooth coat kept her warm to the touch even if you had stolen a bit of the covers
- >the boundless adorable of Twilight’s messy, sleeping state tightens your chest, pulling you from this dream-like feeling
- >you have indeed overslept
- >by your standards, this was sleeping in more than you had previously thought possible
- >to Twilight, this was an early morning
- >both eyes open now, the morning light is slowly filling the room
- >it shines through the wisps of her mane, illuminating every strand
- >your smile grows wider as you slowly scoot closer against your little mare
- >you kiss her nose ever so lightly
- >still asleep, her head shakes side to side as her nose scrunches and twitches, lips quivering
- >Twilight would be the death of you if she kept this up
- >you can’t take much more of this
- >before your eyes can roll back into your skull, you just bring her in, hugging her closely with your working left arm
- >you just feel her nuzzle into your neck
- >the warm, silken-furred snout scooting against your skin…
- >critical hit
- >Huston, we have lost contact
- >you should have been a poet
- >thought processes crash hard
- >you go limp
- >your eyes roll back, you feel a sigh escaping your lungs
- >you were doomed
- >Twilight was capable of disabling you completely even while unconscious
- >there was no way you would live to see your next birthday
- >you feel her stirring
- “Anon…” she mumbles
- >you were gone
- >there was nobody home
- >Twilight stirs some more, bringing her head up, her warm, light purple snout against your cheek
- >a moment passes, her eyes slowly fluttering open
- >the big, beautiful eyes, unfocused, blink a few times
- >she brings her head back a little
- “Anon?” she asks
- >you’ve reached Anon. He’s not here right now so please leave a message after the beep
- >as your eyes are rolled back, you miss the sight of her violet irises, breathtaking in shimmering hues of mauve and lavender dilate in a flash
- >Twilight stiffens and rears back, eyes darting across your face
- “Anon? Anon? Are you okay? Breathe!” she suddenly cries
- >you snapped out of it when she started shaking you
- “Anon, just say something!”
- >you blink and breathe in, coming down from your high
- “Morning, Twilight…” you mumble, broad, goofy smile on your face
- >you keep your eyes closed, for fear of getting K.O.’d by her cute again
- “What happened, you really scared me! You were limp and you weren’t breathing…”
- >you risk a peek and retain control of your motor functions
- >you run a hand from her forehead to the back of her neck, softly petting her mane down a little
- >Twilight’s bed hair was impressive this morning, stray locks running over her ears
- >a bang now extended over her left eye
- “I’m fine, Twy. Honest” you say, repeating the motion, calming the tangled mass
- >even when her mane was like this, it was still soft and healthy
- >running your fingers through it and petting her was wonderful, brushed mane or not
- >her face softens a little
- “Hey, it was your fault” you playfully and adoringly chide
- “What did I do?” she asks, looking targeted
- “You were being cute, you know, the usual” you reply, your faces close once more
- >Twilight’s snout dips down as she blushes, the deep red flushing across her cheeks
- >you love how her ears flick down and out; you take this opportunity to scratch behind them, playing with her coat
- >she had relaxed when you had started petting her, but now she was back to a fuzzy puddle of a p0ny
- “Gee, just look at the time” you whisper
- >one eye half open, she nods, asking you to continue
- >your right arm is starting to wake up
- >you will need it
- >sitting up a little, you continue scratching behind her ear as she leans in to increase the pressure
- “Mmmhhh” she moans
- >that was quite coherent; meaning your work was not done
- >your other arm gets started on her neck, scratching gently as Twilight tilts her head back
- “You asked for this” you jokingly menace
- >she purrs, little squeaks escaping her when you find the exact spot under her chin
- >mercilessly, you continue scratching and petting, moving down for a belly rub
- >you’ve been going at it for a few minutes and your filly is on her back, chin up, limbs spread out
- >her back leg twitches in spasms
- >blushing with pleasure, she seems to mumble incoherently as you scratch and rub her stomach
- >you finish by petting her, gently running your hands over her mane, rolling her on her side and petting down her back
- “Anooon… That was wonderful… I feel like I’m not going to move ever again…” she purrs, looking half asleep and buzzed
- >you lay back down against her
- >this was a lazy start and you were perfectly okay with that
- >it’s not like there was anything important planned for today
- >was there?
- >a cold, empty sinking feeling plummets from the top of your chest to the very bottom of your stomach
- >your eyes were wide open and looking right at the calendar for yesterday
- >you swallowed nervously
- >today was your first Hearts and Hooves day with Twilight
- >and you had nothing
- >you suddenly felt a cold dread, your heart stopping in your chest
- >this was bad
- >this was very bad
- >Hearts and Hooves day was like Valentine’s Day
- >and you two were a couple now
- >you’d heard about this celebration a few times this month, but Twilight had never really mentioned it
- >more than that, she had been so wonderful to you that you ended up forgetting about holidays or special events when you were together
- >it was like the world melted away
- >but today was Hearts and Hooves day
- >you had nothing to show for it
- >and it terrified you
- >you gently pet her once more as you slowly get up
- >the way you would get up if you woke up next to a sleeping tiger
- >you throw on some clothes
- >pulling the covers over her once more and playing with her ear with delicate care, you coo
- “You can go back to sleep, it’s okay…”
- >in her relaxed state, she can only smile and mumble something like “mmflghelg”
- >within moments, Twilight’s ever so quiet, purr-like snores confirm that you may yet have some time
- >you tiptoe across the room and quietly shut the door behind you
- “Shiiit shit shit shitshitshitshit…” you whisper, your back against the door
- >what were you going to do
- >you didn’t want to look rushed or cliché
- >it needed to be original, you are sure that Twilight has read more than one romance novel
- >you want it to be perfect; a Hearts and Hooves day that would make her happy
- >but what?
- >it was much too late for anything like a nice restaurant
- >they would obviously be booked for today
- >you walked over to the kitchen
- >Spike was busying himself with the morning chores, humming happily
- >he was getting things done early to go see Rarity
- >the sly dog
- “Spike, bro, do you have a minute?” you ask
- “Oh hi Anon, how’s it going?” he replies
- “Pretty good. If you don’t mind my asking, what are you going to do for Rarity today?”
- >the little dragon proudly puffs his chest out
- “Well, I’m going to give her a card I made myself, and see if she wants to be my special somep0ny for Hearts and Hooves day, of course”
- >a fairly standard approach, nothing wrong with the classics
- “I’m sure she’ll agree, buddy. Go get ‘er” you grin, high-fiving him
- >you started thinking
- >chocolates and little gifts felt a little cheap to you, in an emotional way
- >Twilight and you weren’t really materialistic, so even a nice gift was worth less than a thoughtful action in a way
- “Oh, Spike!” you call as he was about to leave
- >he turns
- “Would you mind sending out a letter? If it’s not going to get in the way of your plans or anything…”
- “No problem, I’m a little too early anyway.” He replies
- >you sat down and got to work
- >when all was done, you got up and stretched, seeing the dragon off
- >now, barring some disaster, you think you can make this a memorable day
- >you take a few deep breaths
- >you shouldn’t have done this so last minute…
- >you got started on breakfast as Twilight came out of her room
- >she had brushed her mane and coat, her tail was glossy and swaying as she cantered over
- >it was like she was more beautiful day after day
- “Hey, you…” she says, leaning her head on your thigh
- >you caress her neck
- “I was just getting started with breakfast, did you have any special requests for the chef?” you ask
- >she looks pensive for a few moments
- “What if my special request is the chef” she replies, coy grin across her face
- >you smirk
- “I’ll have to check if I have the proper ingredients” you say, opening cupboards with one hand and fishing through the spice rack with the other
- >she giggles and pushes you against the counter, hooves on your stomach
-
Clop in a romance story? IMPOSSIBURU! You’re more likely to clop in an AiE about a chainsaw wielding maniac in Equestr- oh wait... Huehuahuehua
- >breakfast this morning was more of a brunch when you finally sat down with Twilight for a fresh fruit salad and waffles
- >whipped cream on waffles?
- >damn straight
- >you both sat in each other’s arms, content, when you sprung to attention
- “Ohhh snap” you said
- >Twilight perks up
- “What’s up?” she asks
- “We… We kinda have a train to catch” you say
- “What now?”
- “We won’t miss it if we leave now” you explain, getting up
- “Where are we going?” she asks
- >her excited smile warms your chest
- “That, I can’t tell you. It’s a surprise”
- >she starts pushing you towards the door
- “What are we waiting for then, let’s go!’ says Twilight, glowing with glee
- >you chuckle and start moving, walking side by side
- >she would always walk close enough to let you lay a hand on the back of her neck
- >you had her close her eyes until you were both aboard the train
- >once you shut the window blind, you let her look around
- “You really don’t want me to know where we’re going” she says
- “What would be the fun in that?”
- >the train ride was going to take a while
- >not a bad thing
- >you’re a little sad that you won’t get to look outside too much during the ride, but Twilight’s prettier than the scenery anyway
- >one thing you’re glad has stayed the same with her is the friendly conversation
- >or the memorable stories she has from before you arrived in Equestria
- “So Pinkie runs around, yelling “BATS IN MY MANE, BATS IN MY MAAANE” she finishes, laughing
- >you are tearing up
- “Ahahah, oh wow… I really want to hang out more often with your friends. Believe me, that’s something I haven’t said before to girlfriends” you say, cheeky smile on your face
- >Twilight blushes to the tips of her ears, eyes on you
- “I’m glad you like them, they like you too… That’s the first time I’ve said that to a boyfriend” she replies
- >you wrap your arm over her shoulders and hold her close
- >the comfortable silence drifts away as conversations of every type flow in
- >before you know it, the train has ceased moving
- “We’re he~re” you say
- “I can’t wait to see… Oh Anon, this is so wonderful”
- “Not just yet, you’ll have to close your eyes again”
- >she pouts half seriously
- “Come on, it’ll be worth it” your reassure
- >taking her usual place at your right side, you guide her with your hand on the back of her neck
- “No peeking now” you say as you get close to your destination
- >you hold the door open and let her walk inside
- >you see her moving her head a little as she sniffs the air
- “Wait… I know this smell… It’s… It’s the smell of…”
- “Books” you say, finishing her sentence
- >she opens her eyes
- “Equestria’s Central Library!?” she gasps
- >the purple unicorn jumps in your arms and whispers
- “Oh my gosh I’ve always wanted to come here”
- >you hug her, holding her up
- “Guess what” you whisper back
- “What?”
- “It’s ours for the day”
- >turns out that renting a library wasn’t too difficult in Equestria on Hearts and Hooves day
- >you knew a fellow artist p0ny that lived around here, he had been to P0nyville on vacation
- >seems the town was notorious for having more mares than stallions
- >anyhow, you had called in a favor and sent him some bits for the rental
- >you were worried the bits wouldn’t go through Spike’s flame mail, but it seems that his messaging system is compatible with a few objects
- “YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES” she squees
- >you spin her around as she laughs
- “I’ve never been so loud in this kind of library before… It feels so strange” she says
- “Well, we got the place totally to ourselves, so we can do everything we’ve never done in a library”
- >she raises an eyebrow
- >a while later, you’re sitting against a shelf, exhausted
- “Wow…” you say
- “Yeah, that was…”
- >you both sit and catch your breaths
- “Never thought making a book fort this big would get tiring, I mean we had to climb the shelves to get to the roof” she says
- “I know, but just look at it… Two stories, three rooms, an indoor pool… It’s the best book fort anyone has ever made” you say, getting up and walking in
- >you went up the spiral book staircase into the study room
- >it contains a bookshelf made of books, book chairs and a desk of books
- >Twilight was in heaven
- >it smelled and looked wonderful
- “What’s next? Book fight?” you suggest
- “Anon, that would probably hurt a lot” she says
- “Yeah… Bad idea… We should probably put all these back…” you say
- “I’ll get started… The interlocking book tile floors in the book bathroom are going to be tricky…” she says
- “Wait, I want to take some pictures first…”
- >you produce a P0nyroid camera and take a few snapshots of the interior, finishing with a shot of you both in front of the book fort
- >a second before the camera went off, Twilight turned and kissed you
- >the picture didn’t turn out as you had planned
- >instead, it turned out perfect
- >once everything was back where it was, Twilight and you spent hours rummaging through the library, finding interesting things to read and talk about
- >as you had given her the love for painting, she had given you the love of books
- >the day was growing old, you were both getting pretty hungry
- >you both left the library and found a quiet bistro to get dinner
- >you didn’t have the chance to plan where to eat, but this place was quaint and didn’t look too busy in the Hearts and Hooves day hubbub
- >you both enjoyed a relaxed meal as the sun began to set
- >Twilight seemed to have something up her sleeve but you couldn’t tell what
- >you’re leaving the restaurant to take a walk with your special somep0ny when she says
- “I told you about what happened when I first came to P0nyville right?”
- >you think for a second
- “Yeah, there was a whole ordeal with Princess Celestia’s sister having been banished to the moon, you found your friends and turned Nightmare Moon back into Luna, right?” reply
- >the night was falling quickly but the breeze was warm
- >you had walked out in no direction in particular
- >the little restaurant wasn’t really in the middle of town; you had both walked out to the outskirts, down a little trail in the middle of a vast field of tall grass
- >Twilight stops and beckons you to follow her in the grass
- >you both sit down, the moon coming into full view
- >it looked much larger than Earth’s moon
- >you used to cover the old moon with your outstretched arm’s thumb, now you had to use your palm
- >it was beautiful
- “Well, do you know how Nightmare Moon escaped her prison in the first place?” she continues
- >you hold her against you as you both lay down in the grass, looking up at the starts
- “I’m not sure” you reply
- >the sky was flooded with countless stars
- >there was little light pollution, unlike most places on old Earth
- >you could see everything so clearly
- “Nightmare Moon used the stars to help her escape” she explains, pointing at four stars around the moon
- >you wonder why the stars were compelled to help Nightmare Moon in the first place
- “You know, Anon… As much as Nightmare Moon was scary and how my friends and I were in danger more than once because of it, I’m happy the stars helped her escape” she says, softly
- “Really? Why?”
- “Well…” she says
- >you notice something strange
- >the constellations are different from what they were a second ago
- >were you just confusing them for the constellations back home?
- “Because if that all hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have been able to get them to help me tonight” she says, horn glowing
- >the stars flow across the sky
- “Anon” she says
- >the skies above finish her sentence
- “Will you marry me”

- JOKE OUTTAKE
- >you are Celestia
- >this was a disaster
- >you should be joyful right now
- >you’re about to make Twilight a happy mare, to be wed with her true love Anon!
- >thankfully you say you’re crying in happiness
- >it wasn’t supposed to go like this at all!
- >how were you to know that your “Stallion Repulsion” spell wouldn’t affect humans?
- >before you could have Twilight, the damn alien just walked in a swept her right off her hooves
- >oh well
- >at least it was great to watch them fuck like rabbits
