1. Who's a Pretty Pony? C3
2.
3. Happy Valentine's Day, you wonderful bunch.
4.
5. >you are warm, and sleepy
6. >it’s morning, and a lazy one at that
7. >the bed you’re on is small but soft, and you feel like you’re floating
8. >the covers are rather messily thrown about, but the temperature is perfect even in the fresh spring air because you’re sharing this bed
9. >you haven’t opened your eyes yet, barely awake, drifting in quiet, warm nothingness
10. >you’re lying on your side, face half buried in the soft, purple mane
11. >the delicate aroma, like the faintest sweet lavender soothes your every breath
12. >you open an eye, like a probe sent out to check the unknown
13. >you were not ready for the sight
14. >Twilight’s relaxed, sleeping face just a few inches from yours, silently breathing in and out
15. >her mane curled under her jaw and over her face, circling around to yours
16. >she has both front hooves up, one on your upper chest, the other against your neck
17. >bodies softly pressed against each other, you notice your arm is comfortably snaked over her side, going up her back
18. >your right arm is asleep, but then again, so is most of you
19. >her closed eyelids move ever so slightly
20. >you wonder what she’s dreaming about
21. >you would most likely end up doodling this image at some point
22. >her mouth was open ever so slightly, the moist, inviting lips
23. >there was a light flush across her cheeks, her soft, smooth coat kept her warm to the touch even if you had stolen a bit of the covers
24. >the boundless adorable of Twilight’s messy, sleeping state tightens your chest, pulling you from this dream-like feeling
25. >you have indeed overslept
26. >by your standards, this was sleeping in more than you had previously thought possible
27. >to Twilight, this was an early morning
28. >both eyes open now, the morning light is slowly filling the room
29. >it shines through the wisps of her mane, illuminating every strand
30. >your smile grows wider as you slowly scoot closer against your little mare
31. >you kiss her nose ever so lightly
32. >still asleep, her head shakes side to side as her nose scrunches and twitches, lips quivering
33. >Twilight would be the death of you if she kept this up
34. >you can’t take much more of this
35. >before your eyes can roll back into your skull, you just bring her in, hugging her closely with your working left arm
36. >you just feel her nuzzle into your neck
37. >the warm, silken-furred snout scooting against your skin…
38. >critical hit
39. >Huston, we have lost contact
40. >you should have been a poet
41. >thought processes crash hard
42. >you go limp
43. >your eyes roll back, you feel a sigh escaping your lungs
44. >you were doomed
45. >Twilight was capable of disabling you completely even while unconscious
46. >there was no way you would live to see your next birthday
47. >you feel her stirring
48. “Anon…” she mumbles
49. >you were gone
50. >there was nobody home
51. >Twilight stirs some more, bringing her head up, her warm, light purple snout against your cheek
52. >a moment passes, her eyes slowly fluttering open
53. >the big, beautiful eyes, unfocused, blink a few times
54. >she brings her head back a little
55. “Anon?” she asks
56. >you’ve reached Anon. He’s not here right now so please leave a message after the beep
57. >as your eyes are rolled back, you miss the sight of her violet irises, breathtaking in shimmering hues of mauve and lavender dilate in a flash
58. >Twilight stiffens and rears back, eyes darting across your face
59. “Anon? Anon? Are you okay? Breathe!” she suddenly cries
60. >you snapped out of it when she started shaking you
61. “Anon, just say something!”
62. >you blink and breathe in, coming down from your high
63. “Morning, Twilight…” you mumble, broad, goofy smile on your face
64. >you keep your eyes closed, for fear of getting K.O.’d by her cute again
65. “What happened, you really scared me! You were limp and you weren’t breathing…”
66. >you risk a peek and retain control of your motor functions
67. >you run a hand from her forehead to the back of her neck, softly petting her mane down a little
68. >Twilight’s bed hair was impressive this morning, stray locks running over her ears
69. >a bang now extended over her left eye
70. “I’m fine, Twy. Honest” you say, repeating the motion, calming the tangled mass
71. >even when her mane was like this, it was still soft and healthy
72. >running your fingers through it and petting her was wonderful, brushed mane or not
73. >her face softens a little
74. “Hey, it was your fault” you playfully and adoringly chide
75. “What did I do?” she asks, looking targeted
76. “You were being cute, you know, the usual” you reply, your faces close once more
77. >Twilight’s snout dips down as she blushes, the deep red flushing across her cheeks
78. >you love how her ears flick down and out; you take this opportunity to scratch behind them, playing with her coat
79. >she had relaxed when you had started petting her, but now she was back to a fuzzy puddle of a p0ny
80. “Gee, just look at the time” you whisper
81. >one eye half open, she nods, asking you to continue
82. >your right arm is starting to wake up
83. >you will need it
84. >sitting up a little, you continue scratching behind her ear as she leans in to increase the pressure
85. “Mmmhhh” she moans
86. >that was quite coherent; meaning your work was not done
87. >your other arm gets started on her neck, scratching gently as Twilight tilts her head back
88. “You asked for this” you jokingly menace
89. >she purrs, little squeaks escaping her when you find the exact spot under her chin
90. >mercilessly, you continue scratching and petting, moving down for a belly rub
91. >you’ve been going at it for a few minutes and your filly is on her back, chin up, limbs spread out
92. >her back leg twitches in spasms
93. >blushing with pleasure, she seems to mumble incoherently as you scratch and rub her stomach
94. >you finish by petting her, gently running your hands over her mane, rolling her on her side and petting down her back
95. “Anooon… That was wonderful… I feel like I’m not going to move ever again…” she purrs, looking half asleep and buzzed
96. >you lay back down against her
97. >this was a lazy start and you were perfectly okay with that
98. >it’s not like there was anything important planned for today
99. >was there?
100. >a cold, empty sinking feeling plummets from the top of your chest to the very bottom of your stomach
101. >your eyes were wide open and looking right at the calendar for yesterday
102. >you swallowed nervously
103. >today was your first Hearts and Hooves day with Twilight
104. >and you had nothing
105. >you suddenly felt a cold dread, your heart stopping in your chest
106. >this was bad
107. >this was very bad
108. >Hearts and Hooves day was like Valentine’s Day
109. >and you two were a couple now
110. >you’d heard about this celebration a few times this month, but Twilight had never really mentioned it
111. >more than that, she had been so wonderful to you that you ended up forgetting about holidays or special events when you were together
112. >it was like the world melted away
113. >but today was Hearts and Hooves day
114. >you had nothing to show for it
115. >and it terrified you
116. >you gently pet her once more as you slowly get up
117. >the way you would get up if you woke up next to a sleeping tiger
118. >you throw on some clothes
119. >pulling the covers over her once more and playing with her ear with delicate care, you coo
120. “You can go back to sleep, it’s okay…”
121. >in her relaxed state, she can only smile and mumble something like “mmflghelg”
122. >within moments, Twilight’s ever so quiet, purr-like snores confirm that you may yet have some time
123. >you tiptoe across the room and quietly shut the door behind you
124. “Shiiit shit shit shitshitshitshit…” you whisper, your back against the door
125. >what were you going to do
126. >you didn’t want to look rushed or cliché
127. >it needed to be original, you are sure that Twilight has read more than one romance novel
128. >you want it to be perfect; a Hearts and Hooves day that would make her happy
129. >but what?
130. >it was much too late for anything like a nice restaurant
131. >they would obviously be booked for today
132. >you walked over to the kitchen
133. >Spike was busying himself with the morning chores, humming happily
134. >he was getting things done early to go see Rarity
135. >the sly dog
136. “Spike, bro, do you have a minute?” you ask
137. “Oh hi Anon, how’s it going?” he replies
138. “Pretty good. If you don’t mind my asking, what are you going to do for Rarity today?”
139. >the little dragon proudly puffs his chest out
140. “Well, I’m going to give her a card I made myself, and see if she wants to be my special somep0ny for Hearts and Hooves day, of course”
141. >a fairly standard approach, nothing wrong with the classics
142. “I’m sure she’ll agree, buddy. Go get ‘er” you grin, high-fiving him
143. >you started thinking
144. >chocolates and little gifts felt a little cheap to you, in an emotional way
145. >Twilight and you weren’t really materialistic, so even a nice gift was worth less than a thoughtful action in a way
146. “Oh, Spike!” you call as he was about to leave
147. >he turns
148. “Would you mind sending out a letter? If it’s not going to get in the way of your plans or anything…”
149. “No problem, I’m a little too early anyway.” He replies
150. >you sat down and got to work
151. >when all was done, you got up and stretched, seeing the dragon off
152. >now, barring some disaster, you think you can make this a memorable day
153. >you take a few deep breaths
154. >you shouldn’t have done this so last minute…
155. >you got started on breakfast as Twilight came out of her room
156. >she had brushed her mane and coat, her tail was glossy and swaying as she cantered over
157. >it was like she was more beautiful day after day
158. “Hey, you…” she says, leaning her head on your thigh
159. >you caress her neck
160. “I was just getting started with breakfast, did you have any special requests for the chef?” you ask
161. >she looks pensive for a few moments
162. “What if my special request is the chef” she replies, coy grin across her face
163. >you smirk
164. “I’ll have to check if I have the proper ingredients” you say, opening cupboards with one hand and fishing through the spice rack with the other
165. >she giggles and pushes you against the counter, hooves on your stomach
166.
Clop in a romance story? IMPOSSIBURU! You’re more likely to clop in an AiE about a chainsaw wielding maniac in Equestr- oh wait... Huehuahuehua
167. >breakfast this morning was more of a brunch when you finally sat down with Twilight for a fresh fruit salad and waffles
168. >whipped cream on waffles?
169. >damn straight
170. >you both sat in each other’s arms, content, when you sprung to attention
171. “Ohhh snap” you said
172. >Twilight perks up
173. “What’s up?” she asks
174. “We… We kinda have a train to catch” you say
175. “What now?”
176. “We won’t miss it if we leave now” you explain, getting up
177. “Where are we going?” she asks
178. >her excited smile warms your chest
179. “That, I can’t tell you. It’s a surprise”
180. >she starts pushing you towards the door
181. “What are we waiting for then, let’s go!’ says Twilight, glowing with glee
182. >you chuckle and start moving, walking side by side
183. >she would always walk close enough to let you lay a hand on the back of her neck
184. >you had her close her eyes until you were both aboard the train
185. >once you shut the window blind, you let her look around
186. “You really don’t want me to know where we’re going” she says
187. “What would be the fun in that?”
188. >the train ride was going to take a while
189. >not a bad thing
190. >you’re a little sad that you won’t get to look outside too much during the ride, but Twilight’s prettier than the scenery anyway
191. >one thing you’re glad has stayed the same with her is the friendly conversation
192. >or the memorable stories she has from before you arrived in Equestria
193. “So Pinkie runs around, yelling “BATS IN MY MANE, BATS IN MY MAAANE” she finishes, laughing
194. >you are tearing up
195. “Ahahah, oh wow… I really want to hang out more often with your friends. Believe me, that’s something I haven’t said before to girlfriends” you say, cheeky smile on your face
196. >Twilight blushes to the tips of her ears, eyes on you
197. “I’m glad you like them, they like you too… That’s the first time I’ve said that to a boyfriend” she replies
198. >you wrap your arm over her shoulders and hold her close
199. >the comfortable silence drifts away as conversations of every type flow in
200. >before you know it, the train has ceased moving
201. “We’re he~re” you say
202. “I can’t wait to see… Oh Anon, this is so wonderful”
203. “Not just yet, you’ll have to close your eyes again”
204. >she pouts half seriously
205. “Come on, it’ll be worth it” your reassure
206. >taking her usual place at your right side, you guide her with your hand on the back of her neck
207. “No peeking now” you say as you get close to your destination
208. >you hold the door open and let her walk inside
209. >you see her moving her head a little as she sniffs the air
210. “Wait… I know this smell… It’s… It’s the smell of…”
211. “Books” you say, finishing her sentence
212. >she opens her eyes
213. “Equestria’s Central Library!?” she gasps
214. >the purple unicorn jumps in your arms and whispers
215. “Oh my gosh I’ve always wanted to come here”
216. >you hug her, holding her up
217. “Guess what” you whisper back
218. “What?”
219. “It’s ours for the day”
220. >turns out that renting a library wasn’t too difficult in Equestria on Hearts and Hooves day
221. >you knew a fellow artist p0ny that lived around here, he had been to P0nyville on vacation
222. >seems the town was notorious for having more mares than stallions
223. >anyhow, you had called in a favor and sent him some bits for the rental
224. >you were worried the bits wouldn’t go through Spike’s flame mail, but it seems that his messaging system is compatible with a few objects
225. “YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES” she squees
226. >you spin her around as she laughs
227. “I’ve never been so loud in this kind of library before… It feels so strange” she says
228. “Well, we got the place totally to ourselves, so we can do everything we’ve never done in a library”
229. >she raises an eyebrow
230. >a while later, you’re sitting against a shelf, exhausted
231. “Wow…” you say
232. “Yeah, that was…”
233. >you both sit and catch your breaths
234. “Never thought making a book fort this big would get tiring, I mean we had to climb the shelves to get to the roof” she says
235. “I know, but just look at it… Two stories, three rooms, an indoor pool… It’s the best book fort anyone has ever made” you say, getting up and walking in
236. >you went up the spiral book staircase into the study room
237. >it contains a bookshelf made of books, book chairs and a desk of books
238. >Twilight was in heaven
239. >it smelled and looked wonderful
240. “What’s next? Book fight?” you suggest
241. “Anon, that would probably hurt a lot” she says
242. “Yeah… Bad idea… We should probably put all these back…” you say
243. “I’ll get started… The interlocking book tile floors in the book bathroom are going to be tricky…” she says
244. “Wait, I want to take some pictures first…”
245. >you produce a P0nyroid camera and take a few snapshots of the interior, finishing with a shot of you both in front of the book fort
246. >a second before the camera went off, Twilight turned and kissed you
247. >the picture didn’t turn out as you had planned
248. >instead, it turned out perfect
249. >once everything was back where it was, Twilight and you spent hours rummaging through the library, finding interesting things to read and talk about
250. >as you had given her the love for painting, she had given you the love of books
251. >the day was growing old, you were both getting pretty hungry
252. >you both left the library and found a quiet bistro to get dinner
253. >you didn’t have the chance to plan where to eat, but this place was quaint and didn’t look too busy in the Hearts and Hooves day hubbub
254. >you both enjoyed a relaxed meal as the sun began to set
255. >Twilight seemed to have something up her sleeve but you couldn’t tell what
256. >you’re leaving the restaurant to take a walk with your special somep0ny when she says
257. “I told you about what happened when I first came to P0nyville right?”
258. >you think for a second
259. “Yeah, there was a whole ordeal with Princess Celestia’s sister having been banished to the moon, you found your friends and turned Nightmare Moon back into Luna, right?” reply
260. >the night was falling quickly but the breeze was warm
261. >you had walked out in no direction in particular
262. >the little restaurant wasn’t really in the middle of town; you had both walked out to the outskirts, down a little trail in the middle of a vast field of tall grass
263. >Twilight stops and beckons you to follow her in the grass
264. >you both sit down, the moon coming into full view
265. >it looked much larger than Earth’s moon
266. >you used to cover the old moon with your outstretched arm’s thumb, now you had to use your palm
267. >it was beautiful
268. “Well, do you know how Nightmare Moon escaped her prison in the first place?” she continues
269. >you hold her against you as you both lay down in the grass, looking up at the starts
270. “I’m not sure” you reply
271. >the sky was flooded with countless stars
272. >there was little light pollution, unlike most places on old Earth
273. >you could see everything so clearly
274. “Nightmare Moon used the stars to help her escape” she explains, pointing at four stars around the moon
275. >you wonder why the stars were compelled to help Nightmare Moon in the first place
276. “You know, Anon… As much as Nightmare Moon was scary and how my friends and I were in danger more than once because of it, I’m happy the stars helped her escape” she says, softly
277. “Really? Why?”
278. “Well…” she says
279. >you notice something strange
280. >the constellations are different from what they were a second ago
281. >were you just confusing them for the constellations back home?
282. “Because if that all hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have been able to get them to help me tonight” she says, horn glowing
283. >the stars flow across the sky
284. “Anon” she says
285. >the skies above finish her sentence
286. “Will you marry me”
287.

289. JOKE OUTTAKE
290. >you are Celestia
291. >this was a disaster
292. >you should be joyful right now
293. >you’re about to make Twilight a happy mare, to be wed with her true love Anon!
294. >thankfully you say you’re crying in happiness
295. >it wasn’t supposed to go like this at all!
296. >how were you to know that your “Stallion Repulsion” spell wouldn’t affect humans?
297. >before you could have Twilight, the damn alien just walked in a swept her right off her hooves
298. >oh well
299. >at least it was great to watch them fuck like rabbits
