Seolhyun grew up in Sacheon, South Korea. She lived in the Gyeongsangnam-do district which is typically not the richest district. She grew up in a family who struggled to make ends meet. Growing up as an only child meant that she had nobody to deal with her own issues with since her parents were constantly working late night at their low paying jobs. In school, she was seen wearing rags and beaten down clothes since she had no money to get new ones. She admired all of the popular girls in school, especially the cheerleaders and did everything she could to join them. She auditioned for the cheer squad term after term, each time getting rejected. This lowered her self esteem down significantly. She frequently visited her guidance counsellor at school in both primary school and also college and university. This is when she knew what she wanted to do when she finished school. So she decided to get a psychology degree which took four gruelling years.
At 24, she was finally able to graduate and become a proper guidance counsellor. Having to be in a school from morning to evening meant that she was unable to have a proper social life. So during her free days, she didn't really have anyone to hang out with so she ususally just stayed at home by herself. She also couldn't afford to do much as she was still paying back her student loans. She soon got a random ad about an app that can help you make friends. To her, it sounded a bit sad but she was very desperate so she decided to sign up.

PUMPKIN realised there was something wrong and so he went to go and look for her and calm her down. He didn't know what to do as he kind of just stood there awkwardly but then something came over him and he just kissed her. At first she was reluctant until he started massaging her sides while kissing her. This calmed her down and when he pulled away, she apologised while blushing, saying that she was just in a weird mood.
# As a surprise, he gets her tickets to go and see her favourite artist, Jay Park with him. She gets so excited that she ends up crying because she has never got to see him in concert before. The rest of the day, she was extra giddy and nice and being extra affectionate towards PUMPKIN.
