  1. A distant, sickening smog rose in the distance on the horizon. Its scent arrived in Huangzhou before the actual, physical creatures that carried it. Death was on the wind, and the rumors of the outer villages falling to plague and disease had all been proven true.
  2.
  3. It was obvious that the Eastern Lich's shambling army would eventually reach the Western city... and now they were finally at the walls.
  4.
  5. Some of the non-magi guards stumbled through the streets, panicked and afraid, but still as honorbound as any of the Shenghese soldiers here. They approached the Shogun, informing him that the plantlife near the northern gate were dying.
  6.
  7. And that corpses had broken through the treeline.
  8.
  9. Arthur Rowan's Legion had arrived.
  10. [18:10] Tototl whispers something.
  11. [18:10] Dhyne says, "It's started."
  12. [18:10] Cheska Toryia whispers something.
  13. [18:10] Kelliev whispers something.
  14. [18:10] Khonsu Dara says, "Can't catch a break.~"
  15. [18:11] Kelliev whispers something.
  16. [18:11] Dhyne whispers something.
  17. [18:11] Dhyne says, "I will~."
  18. [18:11] Edward says, "Oh so it's really happening.."
  19. [18:13] The drakanite shifted up from the bench, sighing softly. The invasion had begun. Her staff drawn, she began the march forward, to the north. Magics at the ready, gaze hardened.
  20.
  21. She had... too much to lose to fall here. People that depended on her, that wished to see her safe. That was all the motivation that she needed.
  22. (Dhyne)
  23. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  24.
  25. [18:14] The first non-magi arrived with the news of Rowan's legions. Disease had begun spreading towards the city already, yet the arrival of the real force was what everyone was expecting.
  26.
  27. It was finally here.
  28.
  29. Tenevan gripped his spear, bringing it upfront as the group began moving northwards, to the direction the undead were coming from.
  30.
  31. He remained silent, a slight chill building up about him. Gehenna had met with the undead already, now it was finally their turn.
  32. (Tenevan)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [18:14] Cormac blinks as he looks out over the crowd, and then at the surrounding area in general. He had picked a rather awkward time, to enter the square. A panicked look comes over his features, "What's, going on here, exactly?... I don't understand. Are, we being attacked?", he asked nervously. He immediately began to worry about his family, and whether or not they were safe. It seems he's joined in the defense.
  36. (Cormac O'Dubhain)
  37. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  38.
  39. [18:15] Before the undead broke the treeline a tingle ran down her spine... She pulls her shield and hammer from her back and her aura snaps to life...
  40.
  41. Her body still numb from a previous injury she would not back down from defending her home.
  42.
  43. She would follow the lead of the Officers of the Fourfold but none the less she takes a resolute stance..
  44.
  45. They would repel the lich's forces, there was no other option.
  46.
  47. She would not fail this time.
  48.
  49. She stands by Cheska and her mother prepared for what comes next.
  50.
  51. "By the will of Kraus."
  52. (Anise Ixis)
  53. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  54.
  55. [18:15] Li would approach Cormac. The boy was strong for his age, but not enough to go alone in an undead invasion.
  56. While Li wasn't someone extremely strong, he still felt the need to try assisting a friend.
  57.
  58. "Hey Cormac, let's try covering each other back."
  59. (Li)
  60. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  61.
  62. [18:15] Oh no.
  63.
  64. They were here. He could tell just from the knot in his stomach that something was amiss, but the confirmation of the guards scrambling through the city made it all too surreal for him. An undead army... something like that could really exist? Let alone be moved en masse to attack an entire city. The thought sickened him.
  65.
  66. The force he was up against now... the threat to his livelihood.
  67.
  68. Jesse moves forward.
  69.
  70. "Laharl…" he speaks in a hushed tone. "I don't know if you can hear me, all the way up there." Jesse turns his head, looking to the stars. "...But you better give me enough fucking mana."
  71. (Jesse Hawke)
  72. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  73.
  74. [18:15] Kilarii breathes in, before hardening her skin to a crystalline form. It seems to vibrantly shift from colour to colour as she moves around in the light of Huang's odd streetlamps. She takes her vigorously-enchanted staff off her back and looks north, hesitant but ready for combat. She knew that the people of Huang were strong. Hopefully they're able to hold off the undead just as Gehenna did.
  75.
  76. The crystals should protect her from any plague or disease that the undead hordes are spewing out- unless it's airborne, of course. Even then, if it was, they would have just thrown unmoving corpses over the walls and that would have been that. She looks at her companions- Israa, Tototl- with worry. Did they have the same protection as her?
  77. (Kilarii)
  78. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  79.
  80. [18:15] The boy's driven his right hand behind his back, grasping on his own staff and holding it tightly, his neck cracking in a few direct movements of his head. A low growl can be heard by those surrounding him, the boy projecting himself upwards above the ground for a few centimeters, making his body float somewhat. "It seems that it is here."
  81.
  82. (Edward)
  83. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  84.
  85. [18:16] Cormac O'Dubhain says, "Hm? Y-yeah, sure..."
  86. [18:16] A small sigh would fall from the travelers mouth. Another way he had to assist the people he wanted to protect? It wouldn't be the first time and it certainly wouldn't be the last. He at least felt a kit more prepared than the last defense that occurred..
  87.
  88. With blade in hand he'd be ready to move north, ready at a moments notice.
  89. (Augatu Shino)
  90. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  91.
  92. [18:16] Tsu had been in the clinic all day reading books when she wasn't helping those that came in as best she could with what little knowledge she had. She was waiting on the Shogun to arrive. Her new teacher that had promised she would make a fine doctor one day.
  93.
  94. All day she had been smelling the stench of death, mentioning it to others. Fox noses can pick up smells long before humans, after all.
  95.
  96. Now, the putrid smell had her nearly doubled over as she rushed into the city square. She had lost her Hana somewhere along the way, and looked right and left in a slight panic. "Hana?!?!" she called out, but there was no response.
  97.
  98. She pushed her way through and found some of those she new with stoic looks on their faces. The look of warriors heading into battle. The little fox decided she would do her best to stay out of their way, but also not let them out of her sight.
  99. (Tsu Iclyn)
  100. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  101.
  102. [18:16] A great big plague had overcome the lands, and the girl could smell it, and even see it. Distant yet close by, bringing a slight sense of worry to her heart. Something foul was running around. Something chaotic and evil. A few soldiers retreated back into the city. As curious as the Guren was, she'd peer over and attempt to listen to the noise.
  103.
  104. Something foul, as had been sensed before.
  105.
  106. She'd stay away for the most part, but it never hurt to look, did it?
  107. (Kumi Guren)
  108. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  109.
  110. [18:16] The Qilin was almost lazy, apathetic, when marching on the Gehennan watchtower. That was, until they'd discovered what was there, until he'd seen it first hand. This time? Not so much. The enemy came to their doorstep, and it paid to be responsive.
  111.
  112. "Shen, with me, we need to be at the front vanguard. Our talents are wasted elsewhere." Perhaps the Qilin had the same idea, perhaps there'd be argument. He thought to speak up to the rest of the Fourfold, but that was Zeriel's job, it didn't help to step on chain of command.
  113.
  114. Instead, his glaive raised to the sky, engulfing in a pillar of flames that crackled azure in the dark night. The purification of fire, made sacrosanct by his own abilities.
  115.
  116. "Huangzhou! The enemy comes for our doorstep! They come for our people! Do everything you can to stop them! The Lich tests our will, and do not let us be found wanting!"
  117.
  118. And with that, he shot off, trailing those cobalt embers with every movement.
  119. (Katashi Vu)
  120. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  121.
  122. [18:16] Tototl remained silent, a hand resting on the hilt of the new blade he carried. This wasn't his home, yes, but an undead scourge was an undead scourge. Old hatchets must be buried, and forward they must walk. He merely peers towards Kilarii, offering a silent nod.
  123.
  124. These were not his people, but a greater purpose stood on his path. Slowly a breath is drawn in, mana circuitry focused upon as channels widen to the new, heavy stream of energy. Each convergence point is called upon, one after the other, as the hazy blue aura turns to cyan. It's held close to his skin as he continues forth with those gathered.
  125. (Tototl)
  126. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  127.
  128. [18:16] Trying to figure out the gun and how it worked, the Kitsune pondered if he would even be able to wield such a weapon at this moment. It felt too heavy.. too complicated.
  129.
  130. Even so, as the legion began to arrive, the young Kitsune began to make his way with the rest of Huangzhou's magi.
  131.
  132. "..aah!" He mumbled. "We have to fight now!" He said. He strapped the gun to his back, and waddled off to join their forces.
  133. (Emiri)
  134. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  135.
  136. [18:16] Katashi Vu whispers something.
  137. [18:16] TattlesDM whispers something.
  138. [18:16] Towah would grab his blade. He would smile and wonder how this was gonna go.
  139.
  140. "Man oh man seems they have arrived." He would take his blade from his back and hold it with ease. Looking to all those around the area. Seems everyone was all ready to go at it.
  141.
  142. Seeing the guards he would calm down the non-magi.
  143.
  144. "Those again like said before. If you cannot fight. Please seek shelter. I know you are scared but understand. If they bring the fight to you give it back to them. We will protect you. And by the Emperor will. We are going to finally put those lost spirits to rest."
  145.
  146. Towah would point.
  147.
  148. "Take the elderly and children to a safer grounds. Those who have the will to fight but are afraid grab armor and a weapon. Stand your ground. Those with magic shoot from afar. Have guards block each gate that trhey can. Hold them off as much as possible!"
  149.
  150. Towah would look to the North.
  151.
  152. "Commander Hayashi, Ban and Meiyoguide us all." He would whisper and then be ready to march with his people.
  153. (Towah)
  154. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  155.
  156. [18:16] Katashi Vu whispers something.
  157. [18:16] TattlesDM whispers something.
  158. [18:16] The stench was unbearable. The Kitsune kept her kimono sleeve up against her nose to help against it, but she felt as if it was doing practically nothing. As the non-magi scurry through the streets, Reito is suspiciously quiet. Perhaps she was silently praying - actually that's definitely what she was doing. She had never faced undead before and the prospect wasn't exactly one she was looking forward to.
  159.
  160. But how did one get better? By fighting, of course. Fighting things that were scary that were stronger than you. As Emiri waddled off after the Magi, Reito would follow.
  161. (Reito)
  162. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  163.
  164. [18:17] Israa pulls the staff against their chest, gazing out worringly at the strong presence of Huanghites surrounding them - people who were, just some nights ago, found on the field of battle. Yet here Israa was standing beside them, leaning into their staff for support.
  165.
  166. Some things, after all, transcended base loyalties to state.
  167.
  168. As the stench filled the air and worry drenched hearts, Israa stood up and faced the north. The stench was hauntingly familiar, but yet Israa's experiences had done little to desensitize them.
  169.
  170. Israa's eyes slowly close as they draw that stench into their lungs, letting the foulness of it rebel against their heart! What tragedy would beset this place should they fail?! The mere thought of it sent a shiver of heat through the sarradian, the air around them beginning to swirl, distort, and wave with heat!
  171.
  172. In a flash, the air ignites in a protective shield, and the sarradian's glowing cyan eyes stare out from it.
  173.
  174.
  175. (Israa Farhat)
  176. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  177.
  178. [18:17] Still injured, but he knew better than to just stand or lay around as undead overran the town. A golden light flowed around the Dara's body as green eyes began to glow.
  179.
  180. It was then that a familiar voice chimed in the boy's head, "Hey, it's been a while Khonsu. It looks like you pushed yourself a bit too far again even without calling upon me directly."
  181.
  182. A smile came to the man's lip, "It'd be nice if you said hi on your own from time to time insteaed of just watching." The Dara nearly forgot about the undead raiding the town as he was overcome with happiness for the sudden reunion with his star though they were never exactly apart from one another. Khonsu answered his star aloud probably sounding to the people near him like a psychopath, but he didn't care.
  183.
  184. "You should probably focus on the matter at hand", the Star called out to the Magi, "It's going to be a tough fight you know."
  185.
  186. With the unbroken arm the man took a hold of his staff ready tp go into battle despite his injuries, "Let's join the others, Sugmati."
  187. (Khonsu Dara)
  188. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  189.
  190. [18:17] Among the first to sense something wrong approaching was Wisdom herself; Satsuki Shimasu, green eyes glowing, marching back into Huangzhou from the north accompanied by a small legion of Church Knights right before Dawn's Legion approached. An attendant in Illuminated garb rather than armor walked beside her, carrying the golden fox-head cane Satsuki had taken a liking to in the recent years.
  191.
  192. Knowing what was about to happen, she had to at least try to move like a younger, healthier fighter.
  193.
  194. "...A plague," she muttered, weakly. No matter the front she put on, she truly wasn't in the condition to fight - but fight she still would. And as the undead arrived, she drew the cursed sword Insatiable - a truly vile thing that she wished to dispose of, but its benefits couldn't be denied.
  195.
  196. No matter how injured Satsuki was, the sword wouldn't permit her to give up until it had its fill. The tattoo on her arm was already a parasite - what harm was one more?
  197.
  198. "And... here they are," she said, more loudly now. She cleared her throat, turned to the assembled Church Knights and Fourfold behind her, and she gave a single command:
  199.
  200. "Do not let even a single one of them leave here."
  201. (Satsuki Shimasu)
  202. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  203.
  204. [18:17] Britta looked towards the east, she could see a thick smog rising on the horizon, she knew just what it was, she'd heard the rumors of what happened in Gehenna. What was coming their way.. it was none other than Arthurs Legion.. the very legion she was destined to become part of if she returned to Dawn or was captured by them. While she did enjoy talking with Arthur in the past, she knew things were different now, Arthur had changed.
  205.
  206. A smirk formed on her face as she heard what the people were telling Zeriel.
  207.
  208. As she looked over the crowd of warriors, and children, and... well that's about it she decided to give a little bit of an encouraging speech.
  209.
  210. "Citizens, soldiers, families of Huangzhou, today we face Arthur Rowan's abominations, they think us weak. Today, they shall learn what weakness is. I know you may be scared. I am too, but no matter how scared you are, you can never let your fear stop you from protecting your loved ones. It's our families, our friends, and our people that we fight for. Now let's give them hell!"
  211.
  212. Britta sucked at public speaking but hey, it was better than nothing! She was proud of the people she stood beside, it wasn't often she got to see them band together in such a fashion.
  213. (Britta Toryia)
  214. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  215.
  216. [18:17] Gabriel stood in the middle of Huang. Seeing many of his own guild mates. Though not alone. He had his squad of non magi with him. All of them seemed to be rather large in size, though varied in height. But all dawning amazing pompadours. Each more glorious then the next. A smile came to the face of Gabriel..
  217.
  218. " Hello Allende! Hualti! " His eyes looked over seeing Cheska and others, but before he could continue with his greetings. Taking a big wiff, he smelt it. Reminding him of Gehenna. Gabriel stood tall and proud. Dawning his new sword. Looking to his squad of non magi. They all seemed proud as ever. Almost bringing a tear to the mans eyes.
  219.
  220. " Alright! Explorers! Fourfold! Lets march! Onward! "Gabriel shouted out. As he continued to the North Gates. Eager look in his eyes.
  221. (Gabriel Gelmont)
  222. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  223.
  224. [18:17] Shen began stepping towards the northern gate, passing by panicked soldiers and non-magi that alerted them to the horde's presence. A thick feeling of dread loomed over them, but he trudged to the walls nonetheless. His weapon was reached for, unsheathed in a flash of steel. Regent Shu's former weapon, that which he'd give purpose on this day.
  225.
  226. "It's good of everyone to join us. Even you, Satsuki. With everyone here like this.. it makes me more confident, to me honest. I think this is something that we can do together. Huangzhou will stand at the end of this fight." he assured those at his side, giving a nod and a smile. One that was wider than usual.
  227.
  228. Even if his heart wasn't all the way in it, and he was scared. He needed to smile. For all of the youth that looked up to him.
  229.
  230. "When we win this battle, it'll determine the future of our people. They've brought the undead to our door, so let's return theirbodies to the earth where they belong." he spoke confidently. An unprecedented outpour of raw mana erupted from Shen's form as he tugged on his soulbond with the Emperor. With confident and quick strides, he proceeded.
  231.
  232. He planned on stepping right up to the front lines and clash with the horde of undead with all of his heart.
  233. (Shen)
  234. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  235.
  236. [18:18] Would take off towards the northern gate, pulling his blade free from its sheath as he ran. The distance wasn't but a few miles, yet it could be covered fast. He'd don the coat of Ixhel as he leapt atop the roofs. His flesh tearing asunder as thick black fur sprouted from him, his legs twisted until they became digigrade, his face breaking as a vicious maw sprouted from his mouth.
  237.
  238. As he ran he brought the mithril blade to his chest, tearing a fine line across it. As the blood fell to the ground beneath his feat he'd utter a quick prayer of beseechment. Calling upon the ancestors of his people to aid him in the coming battle.
  239.
  240. Yet, even as he leapt from rooftop to rooftop. He'd allow a vicious grin to touch his feline features. It wasn't everyday he got to have the chance against the undead. Yet, today was one such day. It would be a good day.
  241. (Huatli Khan)
  242. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  243.
  244. [18:18] Li could smell the stench. The undead were coming, and he wasn't sure to be ready.
  245. The young man would inhale deeply in order to try calm his beating hearth.
  246. Now wasn't the time to cover in fear.
  247. Li started gripping his sword.
  248. (Li)
  249. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  250.
  251. [18:19] At the sound of distant shouting and commotion - the tall woman leapt from the bench, her hand moving straight for her sword. Not quite drawing it yet; the undead weren't in town; but they seemed to be drawing close.
  252.
  253. Glancing around - eyes roving the crowd of expectant magi - she moved towards those most familiar as the twin efforts of wind and flame burst into life around her body at once - even in live combat she wouldn't lose the chance to perfect this technique of hers. Not now that the undead of Dawn were finally approaching.
  254.
  255. As shouts of charge and assault began - she drew her blade; a small typhoon of heated wind swirling around the weapon - drawing upwards into a blazing claw of fire. Fingers tightening on the grip as the intense drain of mana manipulation set in. Turning towards her companions - she nodded and wordlessly joined the crowd; marching towards the enemy. To defend home and family from the undead scourge that threatened it.
  256. (Cheska Toryia)
  257. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  258.
  259. [18:19] It would seem that the time had come as the guards came in alerting that the undead had broken the treeline. Bringing death and decay with them, withering the plant life and anything around. Truly a nasty and disgusting force.
  260.
  261. She'd grip her staff tightly and look out towards where they were going to be heading. This was about to be one hell of a fight, tougher than any battle she had been in thus far. This was an army, not a group of raiders from Dawn.
  262.
  263. "Let's send them back to the ground where they came from and where they belong!"
  264.
  265. A bit of a battle cry from her, to get herself and others in that fighting spirit. There was no room for lackluster performance right now, everyone had to give it their all against the force that lingered at their doorstep, threatening the lives of everyone present.
  266.
  267. To think anyone had such Malice against innocents. They'd be shown why their actions were flawed and outright deplorable. They wished to take lives, so she'd give them the same treatment, even if it meant that she lost hers in the process.
  268.
  269. She did agree to put her life on the line for this place and it's people after all.
  270. (Evi Britt)
  271. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  272.
  273. [18:19] This much was bound to happen, was it not?
  274.
  275. Ever since Arthur Rowan sent out his Legion-- assaulted Gehenna. It was coming, and here they stood now. The twisted air embraces along, practically intolerable in the moment, and despite the armies still barely visible across the forests, he could certainly feel the taint of undeath. The chaotic plague.
  276.
  277. Spearheading the forces of Huangzhou that stood tall in defense, the Shogun would merely gaze onwards. As the shine of icy hue embraces along those pale hues of his, visual casting only brings about that shroud of frosted air lingering about him, frosted, and practically swirling in the moment.
  278.
  279. As the guards rush in, informing him of the invasion, he'd merely reach out to grasp along the hilt of that frosted blade all the while. When those words do escape, they're loud, and clear to the soldiers behind him.
  280.
  281. "Before anything else, the Path of Fourfold teaches us to protect those who rely on us-- our family, loved ones, and every single citizen of Huangzhou who looks up to us for their safety. Don't let this plague get anywhere near them-- don't hesitate before beheading the undeath.
  282.
  283. Our strength is their hope, and we fight for their right to live-- their safety. Let's bring an end to this madness, as well as the Rowan's Legion."
  284. (Zeriel Heifang)
  285. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  286.
  287. [18:20] Cormac saw everyone preparing for a large fight, and ignited his aura around him, pulling his hood over his head. His only hope right now, was to survive whatever was coming. He had to make sure he and everyone else, survived...
  288. (Cormac O'Dubhain)
  289. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  290.
  291. [18:20] Kuso ears twitched and the smell of rotten corpses was in the air. It was time to erase the mistake that this land was plagued with, all the undead needed to be purged with fire. Slowly reaching for his weapon flames shot around his body ready to commission the purge of the dead, the smell was getting worst and really annoyed the Kitsune.
  292.
  293. "I guess it time to erase this mistake"
  294.
  295. Kuso looked around watching as all the non-magi people ran away from the undead. He'd sigh this sigh was really bothersome to say the least, he was ready for this to be over and done with. The combined efforts of everyone should be enough, or so he though.
  296.
  297. He slammed his staff on the ground as flames erupted from it. He looked at Towah with a slight nod of his head giving him and Khonsu a tap on their shoulders.
  298.
  299.
  300. (Kuso Hitoshi)
  301. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  302.
  303. [18:22] Allende looked on at the fever that'd overtaken Huangzhou. Undead. Since his quarrel with the Nethradin, the sting of an Occult gale that'd ripped through him years ago aching at the stitch. His hand fell to his side, though at the sight of Gabriel, he closed a fist, pumping it once in solidarity.
  304.
  305. "Gabriel! It's our time, let's take this field together!"
  306.
  307. He clutched the Izhuran blade beneath the tsuba, raising it to the sky as he started for the northern gate, a gallows laugh bellowing out from the otherwise reticent advisor.
  308.
  309. "Today, we battle against a long night, and stand as comrades in arms! Be you from Huangzhou or Gehenna, we are made brothers and sisters by this battle! Oh, what grace!"
  310.
  311. Allende coughed briefly at the stitch in his side, but paced on.
  312. (Allende)
  313. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  314.
  315. [18:22] {NARRATION} (Move to the northern gate once all RPs are finished)
  316. [18:25] He glared at the oncoming army, noticing some people he knew amongst their ranks. He let out a sigh. It was a shame that they died, it was an atrocity that their bodies are used as soldiers. Hangzhou had to win here. At all costs.
  317. (Lumen)
  318. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  319.
  320. [18:26] The man would see the undead warriors. All over. From their own. To Gehanna and even the Valmasians soliders. Digusting. The scent was just toxic and repulsive. Towah would take off his blade and look to Zeriel.
  321.
  322. "..."
  323.
  324. He would then look to the undead.
  325.
  326. "Go time."
  327. (Towah)
  328. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  329.
  330. [18:26] As they marched on their own gate to meet the opposing force, the Kitsune held a phoenix rod in his hands as lightning sparked at his fingertips.
  331.
  332. Rowan's forces wouldn't advance further than the wall, as they held the line.
  333.
  334. From even behind that line, the Kitsune tries his best to throw toxic spores at the skeletons, which did little, and create stormclouds of holy-lightning.
  335.
  336. "Yamero!!!" He hollered from the backlines, terrified out of his mind.
  337. (Emiri)
  338. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  339.
  340. [18:27] In the center of the shambling horde, one figure stands apart. Dressed in finer armor and carrying itself with a regal sort of posture, it stands in the midst of a multitude of undead, all wreathed in shadowflame. From their eyes, their wrists, open wounds across the sea of bodies, the flames grow as if an infection of their own, mutations formed of fire.
  341.
  342. Smog hangs over the battlefield, growing thickest around this group. Their fire is unclean, impure, and seems to reach out and taint the ground and landscape around it.
  343.
  344. The corpse horde shuffles forth, setting its hundred rotting eyes on the gathered forces. With an inhuman screech, the central figure raises its fist, a miasma of occult smoke and flame spreading forth to choke the life from all those present.
  345.
  346. (Seirthryar)
  347. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  348.
  349. [18:27] The smell... Was it ever something that one could get used to? The rancid stench of decay and death permeated the air, almost overwhelming the drakanite's heightened senses. It was hard to breathe, but she couldn't focus on that now.
  350.
  351. The air around her chilled rapidly, crystals of ice forming on each end of her staff as she took her stance, prepared for whatever may come. The weight of the footsteps of the skeletal soldiers shook the ground beneath her, giving a thunderous cacophony that one could barely hear above.
  352.
  353. Winds gusted around her as she exhaled. It was now or never.
  354. (Dhyne)
  355. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  356.
  357. [18:27] Cath was scared and surprised at what they were seeing, this was quite the chaotic event before them and they had no idea what to do about this at all, so they would do the only thing they could and panic while shooting out tons of magical sound. Just blasting the area with their magic trying to make any sort of dent all the while staying behind the other large crowd of people.
  358. (Cath)
  359. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  360.
  361. [18:27] The trees stand no chance.
  362. (Seirthryar)
  363. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  364.
  365. [18:27] Emiri exclaims, "Yamete!!!"
  366. [18:27] Kuso glared at the undead wit ha disgusted look on his face, he wanted to rid the land of the smell of the corpses. He'd ready his staff for battle and ready his flame's to burn all the undead that stood before him.
  367. (Kuso Hitoshi)
  368. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  369.
  370. [18:27] Li would see the horrible view of a sea of undead marching toward the northen gate of Huanzhou.
  371. He readied himself, while he still feared for what was to come he was no longer trembling. Was it because of the adrenalina? Or was it because he was surrounded by powerful allies?
  372. He didn't know, all that matted was that he had to survive…. and maybe protect the city while he was there.
  373. (Li)
  374. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  375.
  376. [18:27] The Merman arrived at the gates in due time, making his way out towards the coming fight. Though he'd already faced a horde amongs the Gehennans, this army was... different.
  377.
  378. The pestilence they carried was abhorrent - a vile smog that permeated through whatever defences the Siren could muster. He swiftly called up a layer of water about his form, trying to cleanse the filth away.
  379.
  380. "Destroy these abominations, don't let them breach the city!"
  381.
  382. The words left him as he readied his spear for battle.
  383. (Tenevan)
  384. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  385.
  386. [18:27] Her steel-grey eyes fall upon the horde, they seem to glow from within as she draws upon her star.
  387.
  388. She felt no fear. Only a duty to be done.
  389.
  390. (Anise Ixis)
  391. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  392.
  393. [18:27] Dhyne whispers something.
  394. [18:28] Kilarii could swear that she recognised Gehennan armour- some of which SHE had made for the troops- on the skeletal corpses. She tightens her grip on her staff, staring at these monstrosities, then deciding that she needs to put them down first. A matter of honour. She would not have her weapons and armour be used within an undead horde.
  395. (Kilarii)
  396. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  397.
  398. [18:28] Edward's gripped onto his staff once again, conviction being seen on the boy's face as the flames surround him in the air, growling at the sight of the undead. He's now held his staff out, the instrument being engulfed by the same sort of flames, awaiting for the order to be given.
  399.
  400. (Edward)
  401. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  402.
  403. [18:28] Nameless says, "..."
  404. [18:28] The burning air smelt better than the scent beyond it! Israa steps out onto the field, sandals turning slick as their tread smears over the slimy, rapidly hemeroging grass. But as the undead legion shows itself and its full might, both martial and olfactory, the sarradian can't help but turn to their side and double forward - hurling up a clear, slightly purple-tinged fluid into the grass - left in a steaming puddle after passing through the dancing flames surrounding the dancer.
  405.
  406. Israa stands back upright, looking a bit green as they spit on the earth and raise their staff like a spear! At the very end of the crystal, a ball of fire rapidly began to expand!
  407. (Israa Farhat)
  408. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  409.
  410. [18:28] In shambles it walks, the offsetting steps of the plentiful undead in their wake only serving to drown them out.
  411.
  412. Similar to Seirthryar, an undead Captain of the group can be seen-- Corrupt sludge serving as additional limbs to the being as their writhe erratically, thrashing in threat of tearing through anything in their wake. There were no words from it--
  413.
  414. Only the chattering of bones upon its approach.
  415. (Undead Captain)
  416. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  417.
  418. [18:28] Runs into something bad..
  419.
  420. Oh dear.. did he spot.. demons?!
  421. (Nameless)
  422. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  423.
  424. [18:28] no trees
  425. (Undead Captain)
  426. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  427.
  428. [18:28] Coming face to face with this horde of undead let Cormac momentarily speechless. As much as he'd heard of this coming, as much as he'd prepared for something this foul, his imagination held no candle to the true horrors that came to their doorstep. The sight of it made him want to wretch, and the sounds made his blood curdle.
  429.
  430. As they roared their approach, a brave voice in his mind told him to roar back. That voice quickly died out in favor of the more scared, intimidated voice that left him nearly cowering in the back of the group.
  431.
  432. He held his blade steady, even still, as he looked on. All these people around him, he knew they were strong enough to withstand this tide. The question was: Was he?
  433. (Cormac O'Dubhain)
  434. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  439.
  440. [18:29] Ashera would smell the unbearable smell. The smell that was so wrong, The smell of the undead... The unbearable stench, of the innocent lives that are now being used as puppets, only to try and attempt to do the very same thing to their living counterparts. The very same few that pray for their safety to the lifestream. Only for that to be robbed from them... Only for them to be forced into something that they would never dare do unless their freedom was ripped from them.
  441.
  442. It made Ashera's blood boil to even think that someone would dare do that to one another. But she knows this... One way or another, they are going to be freed from this endless cycle that these beings of depravity were into. It was Ashera's duty to not only protect the living, but to preserve the life of the living, and put the dead to rest.
  443.
  444. She would slowly allow her holy earth to surround her body. Her will to protect the people here, as well as risk her life for everyone here to walk outin one piece.... It radiated from within her. As she would grip her blade.
  445.
  446. "Oh lord Kraus Eternia, I pray that you not only give us the strength and will to continue to face against the plague of depravity. But to walk forward, and protect the living here, I pray that these forced corpses will meet their true slumber, and will finally restore the lifestream as we speak. Let Us Light the path, as our faith in a brighter future reins true."
  447.
  448. Ashera would unsheathe her blade, in will and determination She would speak once more.
  449.
  450. "All non-magi and those who need protection, get behind me. As I shall be your shield during this fight. May we all walk out here in one piece."
  451.
  452.
  453. (Ashera Ixis)
  454. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  455.
  456. [18:29] When she arrived at the Northern Gate, she paused, seeing the scourge, the undead there. So many Skeletons. It frightened Reito out of her mind and she was silent, before fire would explode outwards around her form, the flames licking at her body as she grit her teeth. She'd fight them, of course.
  457. (Reito)
  458. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  459.
  460. [18:29] Jesse reaches the gates, hurrying to draw out his weapon!
  461.
  462. ...Oh lord. He had expected something bad, but this was way worse than anything his imagination could produce. Thousands of undead, all coming for them... for him! Drawing upon his staff, he prepares himself for the battle of his life against death!
  463. (Jesse Hawke)
  464. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  465.
  466. [18:29] Tototl's gaze remained stationed on those about him - Half expecting a swing tossed at his side. Yet... None did. Huangzhou had bigger problems, but the question was would they keep that in mind?
  467.
  468. Regardless, the blade is withdrawn from its sheath as he arrives at the northern gate. Its cyan-blade radiating with energy as it's flourished in one hand. Faint whispers of those long forgotten plagued his ears, but his attention was set on the smog coming forth.
  469.
  470. Gehennans. Many of them were those he had fought along with during the invasion of their own terrain. His teeth grit tight as the mana surrounding him pulses, threatening to pull away from his skin. It's held there, however, for better or worse - A ball of cyan energy conjured in one hand.
  471.
  472. The disturbed Spirits would know rest this day.
  473. (Tototl)
  474. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  475.
  476. [18:29] Corrupt beings, things Katashi had seen far too much of in his time on the continent. He was getting tired of it, of the rift mages and the necromancers, the sins and the ones that were cursed by their gods.
  477.
  478. Above all else, he was tired of the undead. The greatest perversion of the gift of life.
  479.
  480. Blue flames erupted out around him, a beacon of cleansing purity. Only the undead would be scorched by this bonfire, only the corrupt and the wicked.
  481.
  482. "Hold fast! Don't give them an inch!" On the very front he placed himself, blade arched out.
  483.
  484. "Return these damned souls to the after where they belong."
  485. (Katashi Vu)
  486. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  487.
  488. [18:30] Flames on!
  489. (Nameless)
  490. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  491.
  492. [18:30] As the undead army neared closer, Lumen's eyes widen. It is now apparent that this army was massive. It was the largest grouping of monsters that Lumen has ever witnessed. The undead literally trampled over the trees, causing them to collapse at their feet. It was a sight of horror.
  493.
  494. "We got the worst of this invasion! Yet, it ends here!" He shouted to those around him. His hands shook as he gripped his mana rifle.
  495. (Lumen)
  496. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  497.
  498. [18:30] With her sword drawn, she moved to meet the approaching army with far more ease than typical, her own Church Knights surprised at their (ex?)-Chancellor's sudden mobility. She'd not make the same mistake she did at the battle of Baukdengrad, where she was so close to falling to Pride. She'd not lose all of her Knights again, not this time. Before she and Insatiable dove into the fray, she gave one order to the non-magi knights in her ranks:
  499.
  500. "Destroy the chaff - anything that seems too strong, flee back into the city."
  501.
  502. She cleared her throat again and took a few quick steps forward, petals of pure white light dancing furiously around her as she took point.
  503.
  504. "Huangzhou - begin."
  505. (Satsuki Shimasu)
  506. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  507.
  508. [18:30] She'd follow the ones who sought to stop the event which was to occur. Her senses lingered on the horrendous assault on them, and she'd scratch at the phantom noise within her ears. The young gal was sensitive to such phenomena and anomalies like the one which had marched in through the northern gate.
  509.
  510. Utilizing the quickest of fox legs, she'd give chase along with the crowd. Soldiers ran through at the sounding of orders, but this did not deter the Guren. Determination only grew.
  511.
  512. Just barely reaching the now closed-off gate, curious eyes spied something that nobody wanted to see. Undead, monsters even. Blood and flesh all mixed together into some sort of depraved creation that only screeched some more within the sensitive ears of Kumi. Soft hands moved to cover them, itching and scratching like never before. She'd groan as a signal that none of this brought any sort of comfort.
  513.
  514. A fragmented aura of holy flame burst out, arriving to cover the girl and ensure her safety. The warmth, the embers. Inviting and charming.
  515.
  516. They would serve to help a little bit with the fear factor.
  517. (Kumi Guren)
  518. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  519.
  520. [18:30] And as Shen approached the gate, that sickening feeling drew closer. An overwhelming sense of dread invaded his senses, almost causing him to freeze in his tracks. The man gritted his teeth, his expression shifting in disgust. The grip on his sword shook slightly, and he took in a quivering breath.
  521.
  522. But, he was different now.
  523.
  524. What steadied the grip on his weapon was looking over to the allies that had rallied beside him. The people of Huangzhou, those who raised their weapons in opposition of this undead horror. He took in a deep breath through his nose, shaking his head. He couldn't stop, for them. Now when there were people who looked up to him.
  525.
  526. ".. I'll be deep in the enemy lines, Katashi. As your senior, I'd like for you to make your best effort to keep up. I may need your support." he spoke to the Qilin at his side, pointing the receiving end of his blade towards the opposition. His eyes swept across the horde of undead, before he noticed certain features by the undead. "W-.."
  527.
  528. ".. Those are our people." he muttered, his grip tightening. Without any further ado, steps were made into the eye of the storm.
  529. (Shen)
  530. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  531.
  532. [18:31] Took a great breath, his pantherin form hulking above his fellow warriors for the time being. With the exhalation came a roar of bloodlust, the great warrior of Ixhel ready to bring destruction to his gods enemies.
  533.
  534. "Roooaaaarrr!"
  535.
  536. Before it was even finished the warrior dashed into the ranks of undead. His blade flashing out like a thunder bolt, his claws reaping the undead like so much wheat. He'd take a focus against the Gehennan undead, working to free his tribesmen from their enslavement.
  537.
  538. Claps of thunder accompanying his movements as he teleported throughout the battlefield. Dashing in and out of the fray, his rage never once being dulled by injury or fatigue. His gods demanded he fight, and fight he did.
  539. (Huatli Khan)
  540. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  541.
  542. [18:31] It was even more awful up close, the horrid rotting stench. It almost made her want to puke. Members from all groups accompanied the horde, Gehhenan's Valmasias, and even those from Jianghu. It was deplorable, to bring back so many in such a manner. Mindless rotting corpses without a will of their own.
  543.
  544. She'd call upon the earth herself, shifting and twisting it beneath the forces of the enemy as soon as they engaged. She wasn't going to let up. Not one bit. She'd tear them all apart and send them back to their graves, never to be risen again.
  545.
  546. "To think someone could bring this about, deplorable and disgusting."
  547.
  548. A stop would be put to this, she hoped soon.
  549. (Evi Britt)
  550. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  551.
  552. [18:31] With wind and flame finally working in tandem, Cheska joined the throng - meeting the undead army with her blade in hand; assuming the now well-practiced stance she had grown familiar with over the years. Hot, dry winds swirling around her body and fighting back the brilliant yellow-white flames that billowed around her body and threatened to sear and burn her own flesh; a whirling storm of flame and air gradually focusing tight around the blade in her hands; edge glowing red-hot in her grip.
  553.
  554. There was no concern for anything else anymore - her attention focused solely towards the abomination of an army before her; grip tight and focus deadlocked. She would burn them - destroy them. Protect her people - and her loved ones. For the undead were not to be tolerated in this world.
  555. (Cheska Toryia)
  556. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  557.
  558. [18:32] The sight of them there-- roaring, rotting, suffering, and there's a way he'd grip tighter, unsheathing that blade of his as forces of Arcane practically explode along the Heifang, shrouding his form.
  559.
  560. Ones here to kill, to harm... to destroy. As those lips part, words to escape are louder-- exclaimed in the moment. Embraced within plague, embodying pestilence in itself.
  561.
  562. "Not a single one of them is to breach our defenses! Keep this plague at bay-- defend our borders, and don't leave any standing! If any of our own falls-- help them out, make space for them to escape into the settlement. Keep the guards up."
  563.
  564. As the brief halt takes over, and numerous, slicing tornadoes practically explode outwards, aimed to ram into the forces of chaos at their front doors, he'd only pause to utter out a couple more, louder words.
  565.
  566. "Strike, Huangzhou."
  567. (Zeriel Heifang)
  568. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  569.
  570. [18:33] Satsuki Shimasu whispers something.
  571. [18:33] Tsu was completely out of her element as she followed the Magi to the gate and stepped outside of it. Her ember eyes looked across the field to the army of the dead and she sucking in a deep breath, then coughed it out.
  572.
  573. She spit on the ground and then closed her eyes. Tsu focused on stilling her mind and controlling her breathing, ignoring the sounds and the smells, trusting those around her to protect her for a moment.
  574.
  575. As her mind cleared, she visualized the sun high in the sky on a summer day. She visualized a flare and the fire reaching out to her. A bright ray surrounding her and filling her with heat, fire, and holy energy.
  576.
  577. She could feel it inside her and all over her body. As she opened her eyes, they burned bright with the mana that had laid latent inside her for so many years. Her skin glowed and her fingertips sparked.
  578.
  579. Tsu took a step back and brought her hands up in front of her, watching those she trusted, thaking their queues.
  580. (Tsu Iclyn)
  581. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  582.
  583. [18:33] Tototl whispers: ... Yes, hello Satsuki.
  584. [18:33] Israa Farhat whispers something.
  585. [18:33] Satsuki Shimasu whispers something.
  586. [18:33] As Gabriel walked out of the center of Huang with his squad of pompadour bearing non magis, along with Allende and Huatli. Gabriel stood tall, it seemed almost odd. But in his last few years, he seemed to grow taller. Reaching the Northern gates of Huang. He'd step through. Seeing the rest of the magis, non magis pour through. A wide grin came to the face of Gabriel. He knew what was to come, this was not like Gehenna. This was going to be different, now the undead was fighting a fierce foe.
  587.
  588. Smelling the putrid smell that came from the undead. Covering his nose with a bandanna. Coming prepared even for this. Watching and looking at the monstrosities that laid in front of the Huangs forces. Gabriel let out a deep breath.
  589.
  590. " Well. Lets do this!" Gabriel shouted out, drawing his large blade from his back. Pointing to the front and wielding it with one hand, grasping it with two, changing his stance up a earthen shield came over his body if only for a moment.A holy barrier coming over him as well.
  591.
  592. Gabriel rushed forward, his non magi unit following suite, all in a triangle formation. Crashing into the skeleton forces.
  593. (Gabriel Gelmont)
  594. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  595.
  596. [18:33] Satsuki Shimasu whispers something.
  597. [18:33] Israa Farhat whispers something.
  598. [18:33] Israa Farhat whispers something.
  599. [18:33] Reito whispers something.
  600. [18:33] Tototl whispers: We will leave one it's done, Satsuki, but we all must focus on the bigger picture - the Lich - than each other.
  601. [18:34] Allende took stock of the undead horde. What a grim visage. He thumbed out an inch of mithril from the scabbard, pulling it into his hands as he counted.
  602.
  603. It was a fruitless endeavor, too many. His mind wanders back to the Nethradin, the suckering stitches at his side, the inoperative lacerations beneath them. He sighed out, drawing in a breath, before looking between those assembled. His near death prior had made him keen in sensing the dead.
  604.
  605. There was no grace, in this. He wondered if their destruction would free them.
  606.
  607. Widening his stance, he prepared for the charge, form turning something ethereal. Body faint, his footfalls disappeared, and the advisor seemed more a disembodied mist than a man, making it uncertain where he ended, and the world began.
  608. (Allende)
  609. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  610.
  611. [18:34] Satsuki Shimasu whispers something.
  612. [18:34] Tototl whispers: Right-
  613. [18:34] Ashera Ixis whispers: Let them Fight.
  614. [18:34] It was a dry rot. One among many, but one of those which stood out solely for the shadows which followed it, and the fine grey-scale powder which followed in its wake. Something which drifted on each breeze. The very same spilled between the stitches of many an injury.
  615.
  616. No regal posture. Naught formal at all, save the uniform. Tattered as it was it set this one apart from the hoarde.
  617. (Rotting Captain)

  619.
  620. [18:34] Ashera Ixis whispers: An enemy of my enemy is thy friend.
  621. [18:35] Israa Farhat whispers something.
  622. [18:35] {NARRATION} (Ok! I'm going to switch the FF and GF real quick and give a countdown. Undead please back up, Huangzhou arrange yourselves in some sort of orderly fashion.)
  623. [18:36] {NARRATION} (Undead de summon and then back up before summoning again)
  624. [18:37] Israa Farhat whispers something.
  625. [18:37] Israa Farhat whispers something.
  626. [18:37] {NARRATION} (I'll be watching if you go down... Here we go.)
  627. [18:45] {NARRATION} (Ok. Undead Captain. Please Leave Huangzhou's Guild.)
  628. [18:45] Rotting Captain whispers something.
  629. [18:45] Dhyne whispers something.
  630. [18:45] Rotting Captain whispers something.
  631. [18:45] Dhyne whispers something.
  632. [18:45] Rotting Captain whispers something.
  633. [18:46] Anise Ixis whispers something.
  634. [18:46] {NARRATION} (We're going to Redo due to the guild issue.)
  635. [18:47] {NARRATION} (None of these downs count, get on your sides and arranged while I check things rq)
  636. [18:49] Anise Ixis whispers something.
  637. [18:50] Smashy smash.
  638. (Israa Farhat)
  639. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  640.
  641. [18:50] Cutty cut
  642. (Augatu Shino)
  643. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  644.
  645. [18:51] {NARRATION} (sorry for the delay, adjusting somethings)
  646. [18:53] {NARRATION} (OK. Sorry here we go, redo.)
  647. [18:57] {NARRATION} The first wave had been felled, but even with the corpses put back into the dirt, their spreading plague persisted. The air had become green and to take a single breath was a risk each soldier had to take. Spores and smoke spread the vile sickness into the army before them while the commanding undead officers fired wave after wave of occultic magic.
  648.
  649. Arthur Rowan had not sent pawns, but knights of Death and Destruction.
  650.
  651. And still, with the vanguard defeated, the treeline shook once more, indicating that this was far from the end.
  652. [18:58] Offers his support from the back for their battle against evil!
  653. (Nameless)
  654. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  655.
  656. [18:59] Britta was fighting her best
  657. (Britta Toryia)
  658. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  659.
  660. [18:59] Rolled onto his side for a moment, he didn't know what had happened. One moment he was fine, then the next he'd found himself face first in the dirt. Though he felt a searing pain in the back of his head, he'd ignore it pushing himself back up for another battle. Ready to continue the fight.
  661. (Huatli Khan)
  662. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  663.
  664. [19:00] Nameless exclaims, "Demons!"
  665. [19:00] Nameless exclaims, "I will smite thee!"
  666. [19:01] Edward would, holding his side, grunt somewhat and spit some of his blood onto the ground, shaking his head and eventually coming back to his feet, sustaining himself with his own staff. He's looked ahead, squinting at the sight of the greater being, flinching in pain once again.
  667.
  668. "It's not over, isn't it?"
  669. (Edward)
  670. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  671.
  672. [19:01] The battle against the vanguard was rough... she found herself knocked unconscious temporarily by one of the captains... luckily he was too battered to finish her...
  673.
  674. She recovers her weapon and shield and reforms ranks with the others...
  675.
  676. Why did she keep failing....
  677. (Anise Ixis)
  678. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  679.
  680. [19:01] There they stood and there they fought.
  681.
  682. The first wave of undead was felled by a combined effort from Huangzhou's military, yet it wasn't getting any easier. The foul sickness the corpses carried might've been shrugged off by the magi, yet the common soldierly wouldn't be able to survive it unscathed.
  683.
  684. It was a foul enemy to fight, yet one they could beat back with a concerted effort. Tenevan stood amongst the other magi, sending forth bolts and blasts of wind and ice, water and sound.
  685.
  686. He played his part, displaying no particular heroics. Battles such as these were a group effort, not one of individual heroism, after all.
  687.
  688. Still, there was something even worse coming forth, and one they would have to beat back to safeguard their city. Come what may, the Merman was ready.
  689. (Tenevan)
  690. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  691.
  692. [19:02] As the forces of Huangzhou fought against the Lich King's forces, the Kitsune wipes the sweat from his brow. The undead he'd sent were powerful, but they were stronger.
  693.
  694. Golden lightning arcs from the gate as the young luminate stands atop it, staring down. He refused to get close, and as such he was relatively safe.
  695.
  696. For now, at least.
  697.
  698. "Yamete!" He spoke. "Dawn's forces fall today!" He yelled, surely inspiring the masses.
  699. (Emiri)
  700. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  701.
  702. [19:02] Kilarii found the fight... difficult. The skeletons felt invincible, and at one point they actually were. Seems that they were as tough in death as they were in life. Luckily, her earth magic and crystal support helped the others.
  703. (Kilarii)
  704. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  705.
  706. [19:02] Some way, somehow, Cormac was surviving. Just barely, as it were, but he held his own when it came to the basic skeleton soldier. Even still, as the town seemed to lean towards victory, there was a catch. The air filling with toxins which caused him, and many nearby, to feel ill. Even more worrying was the sounds coming closer. More undead to face down. They were far from done, and that terrified him even more. How much had they struggled against this vanguard force so far? And they had even more to overcome?
  707.
  708. Emperor be with them. They would need it.
  709. (Cormac O'Dubhain)
  710. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  711.
  712. [19:02] The kitsune would try to stay with his wife. But in the line of battle. The man would flicker. Fighting off undead. Watching his daemon be hit with wave after wave.
  713.
  714. Seeing her go down.
  715.
  716. As he would also see Evi fall the man would attack harder. He needed to focus. As Khon's healing help as well.
  717.
  718. They would finally bring the creature down.
  719.
  720. Though it was far from over. He would look to see others. Boy oh boy.
  721. (Towah)
  722. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  723.
  724. [19:02] Fire and brimstone, gales and frost.
  725.
  726. Never before had the drakanite seen such utter chaos and destruction. The cacophony of battle had almost deadened her ears, and yet still she pressed forward. The pawns were ignored for the most part, Dhyne focusing her strength on trying to take down those that seemed to be leading the charge.
  727.
  728. Several people had fallen, but she didn't have time to check who they were. She could only hope that Cheska had remained standing, that she would survive, while the drakanite focused on her own. Staff smacked against bone, ice froze limbs. It was almost all she could do just to keep up with the sheer number.
  729.
  730. Soon as it started, it seemed to be over, a sigh of relief coming from the drakanite. Short lived, as her eyes shifted back to the north at the sound of renewed action from the forest. It seemed that they were still far from over, the overwhelming scent of decay and death growing ever stronger.
  731.
  732. Her stance taken once more, wings stretching to ease out the pain, she pressed forward, ready to take on whatever else may come.
  733. (Dhyne)
  734. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  735.
  736. [19:02] The sarradian spun back and forth, a wide smile on their face and nearly absent eyes that gazed adoringly up at the night sky! It was as if, at that moment, the world and chaos around them had simply melted away! Shimmered and dimmered into not the clash of war, of life and death, of faith versus faith -
  737.
  738. But a wonderful, destructive chorus!
  739.
  740. Israa's mana was flaring up and down, burning bright with each breath! The flames around them flicker and dance at the teasing air around them, only to continue swirling around the sarradian as they stomp their foot down and stare at the second wave!
  741.
  742. With a cackle and a wide grin, Israa grips their staff at the ready - the crystal at its head glowing with a flickering, dancing flame within.
  743. (Israa Farhat)
  744. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  745.
  746. [19:02] Li barely managed to survive the ordeal. His body ached with pain while his arms felt numb for all the blow he landed. As he breathed heavily he raised his head only to be welcomed by new formed terror.
  747. The undead weren't finished. Sure the first line fell, but not the entire army.
  748. Li shook his head, he tried to not fall into terror.
  749.
  750. "I must not falter now."
  751.
  752. Li gripped his sword harder than ever, while his body was engulfed by a fiery aura. He was ready for another fight.
  753. (Li)
  754. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  755.
  756. [19:02] Her hands held high then brought down as she spun, holyfire and fire radiated from around Tsu anytime the lumbering corpses got near the gate. It was a power she had felt inside her for years but had never called forth before. Yet, it was devastating now that she had. The bodies split, shattered and burned as they collapsed all around her.
  757.
  758. Yet, she could not celebrate. The putrid air was thicker and much harder to breath. She doubled over coughing and spitting on the ground before she straightened to see what came out of the treeline.
  759.
  760. This time the little fox's eyes got wide with fear. Maybe she should run back into the city and find her Hana after all. She glanced that way, but then looked back. No, Tsu needed to stop being scared. She needed to stand. She had to stand. She would hold the gate.
  761. (Tsu Iclyn)
  762. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  763.
  764. [19:02] Jesse heaves a ragged breath, wiping the sweat from his brow. It felt like he had been fighting for ages, but there was still more to come?! He looks to Reito, picking her out from amongst the crowd and coming to her side!
  765.
  766. "Reito!" He calls out, shouting through the cacophonous noise of hell itself opening up around then. "Stick by me! This isn't over yet!" By the looks of things, he was scared out of his mind.
  767. (Jesse Hawke)
  768. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  769.
  770. [19:02] Reito had naturally been terrified out of her wits. She threw illusions, she threw down fire, but what sealed the deal, at least for one of the captains? As she unleashed her race's own fire. The fireball itself homed in upon the Captain proper, swerving through trees, past others who were still fighting, to slam directly into him.
  771.
  772. Reito, of course, would not realize her own achievement, so caught up in the battle. With the vanguard now properly defeated what waited for them past the treeline as it shook caused the Kitsune to pause. Reito gasped, eyes widening. Emiri's call inspired the young Kitsune and she called out,
  773.
  774. "Jiuweihu protects us even now! We will not lose!" she shouted. But she was short, and most likely her voice wouldn't carry as far.
  775. (Reito)
  776. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  777.
  778. [19:03] She practically stood no chance. A volley of attacks had hit her right off the bat, knocking her down and winding her, albeit temporarily. It seemed like her organs being weak was coming back to haunt her as she coughed up some blood.
  779.
  780. She wouldn't let it keep her down as the forces seemed to be halted for a moment. She'd get back up and steel herself, calling the powers of fire and earth back to her side.
  781.
  782. She was better than this, than these corpses.
  783. (Evi Britt)
  784. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  785.
  786. [19:03] Shen rushed directly into the eye of the storm, as promised. Braving the repeated abuse of several undead sword strikes, shields of earth and energy were raised to defend himself. Past the underlings and the lesser skeletons, there was one undead that the Qilin had his eyes on. One that he planned on ruining.
  787.
  788. It was the Rotting Captain. Just as his occult magic was conjured with intentions to fell a wave of soldiers, the Qilin shoved himself in front of the attack selflessly. But, it wasn't without purpose. Trails of blue poured from his eyes, a Shengese character etched into the space above him. He secured his footing in the grass.
  789.
  790. He pushed his palm forward, deflecting the energies of the undead's attack back onto him. The undead was pushed back by the force of his own magic, forcing the skeleton to crumble in a hellfire of his own making. Eaten alive by the very occultic energies that he wielded.
  791.
  792. Energy still burning, Shen looked towards the horizon. There were more. He steadied his grip, focusing his gaze on the impending threat and steeling his resolve. Times like this were when he really needed to place his stock in the Path of Spirit.
  793.
  794. "Good job, everyone. But, this is where we're really going to get tested."
  795. (Shen)
  796. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  797.
  798. [19:03] His body ached from the depraved magics, things used with such wild wanton abandon... What about this power was worth it? What could be worth this level of depravity, what was done here, to these souls?
  799.
  800. "BREAK THEM HERE!" Came a violent shout, and a wild boom of unstoppable flames that incinerated every corpse that came near. Perhaps it painted Katashi as a target, a beacon, but he didn't care.
  801.
  802. "Keep it up, if we fail, everyone dies." He charged forward, a blazing bonfire in the night, illuminating the dark with the furious glow of purifying flames.
  803. (Katashi Vu)
  804. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  805.
  806. [19:04] Katashi Vu whispers something.
  807. [19:04] just flailed around not knowing what to do, this was way to crazy for them to handle, all they could do was once again shot out all their magic at once hoping that it would accomplish anything at all. Her sound bursting forth just beating up the ground as it shoved forward with her sound magic.
  808. (Cath)
  809. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  810.
  811. [19:04] The Guren was not one to engage in combat. She despised such things. To hurt another was not a tenet that she followed. At least not normally. This was an abnormality. An anomaly. Creatures were attacking, and Huangzhou had to be defended. While Kumi did not move closely, she stood on the outer lines and applied the holiest of her magics in hopes of aiding the people; slight wounds wound heal. The off scratch here, and the tiny bruise there. Nothing all that serious since she was only a beginner at more advanced magics.
  812.
  813. The stray wave of cleansing light was sent in to disperse the horde if it had gotten too close, but attacking directly was not her job.
  814.
  815. That hated aura sprouted from every direction. A drowning sensation for the kitsune. Bathed in depraved light. Sickening was one way to describe it. The Guren gagged and scratched at her ears, listening to the threat invade her ear drums. Putrid. Horrendous. Horrible.
  816.
  817. Despicable.
  818.
  819.
  820. Her kimono was brought up to cover her mouth and nose from the strange miasma in the air.
  821.
  822. (Kumi Guren)
  823. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  824.
  825. [19:05] Swing after swing, cleave after cleave, Tototl cut through each and every skeleton before him. Primarily, however, his focus lay on those dead Gehennans - His fellow warriors long dead now disturbed by the Liches control.
  826.
  827. It enraged him, much like those few back home.
  828.
  829. Glowing brown hues dart towards Kilarii - promptly to the shaking trees beyond. Would this be another monstrosity like they'd fought before? A low growl escapes the proclaimed Seer prepares himself.
  830.
  831. "First the horde - Then the damned Lich!" Another slip of the tongue for them, but it was needed in times like these. Mana is slowly pulled within, the produced power kept tight within the already straining mana circuitry. He'd keep stalwart focus on his circuitry, attempting to push his body beyond what he could through the use of mana.
  832. (Tototl)
  833. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  834.
  835. [19:05] Her grip never lessened - flame raged on; fighting back the darkened shadows that bit at her body as she fought the undead horde. And then, for a time, they seemed to abate and she was given a brief moment of pause. A respite not granted for long and she knew it.
  836.
  837. But she had to make the most of it - grimacing as she pulled herself together and marched back to the crowd of her fellow citizens; she readied herself for the next assault. There was no way they would give up this easily.
  838. (Cheska Toryia)
  839. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  840.
  841. [19:05] Khonsu fought alongside the other Magi as best he could while healing Towah and Evi to the best of his ability while healing himself too and through battling the army of Huangzhou pushed the undead back.
  842.
  843. A smile rested on the man's face.
  844.
  845. 'It's not over yet.', Sugmati chimed in, 'We still have much to do and your current power might not be enough for what comes next.'
  846.
  847. "Are you suggesting we?", the Dara asked aloud before the Star projected a mental image of herself next to him.
  848.
  849. 'Instead of calling upon my power.. How about we take it a step further and call upon the power of the night time sky itself. It is late... Do you remember reading about it?', Sugmati suggested in the man's head.
  850.
  851. A single nod would be had before the Magi felt cosmic energy flowing into him much like it had before but instead of hot and intense it felt cooler this time around much like Khonsu's own emotions. He did not anger these days. He just did what was necessary and what made him happy.
  852.
  853. "Sugmati.. Let's lend a hand."
  854.
  855. (Khonsu Dara)
  856. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  857.
  858. [19:06] Augatu would merely sigh lightly. This was something he had become quite used to by now. At first this might have caused him to become perturbed and shocked.. But now this was just second nature. He already faced a city ending daemon with a large group. This really would be no different. Everyone just had to keep aware.
  859.
  860. He would get ready to face the problem and soon after the main foe. The art of raising the dead would not prevail today.
  861. (Augatu Shino)
  862. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  863.
  864. [19:06] Thanks to Insatiable, Satsuki was more or less lost in the rush of battle. This was a risk she accounted for; she gave her commands to her Church Knights beforehand, and at the first sign of trouble - that is, the creeping plague - they retreated back into town on her orders. All for the best; with none of her non-magi to worry about, she didn't have to worry about her casting at all.
  865.
  866. She danced about the battlefield, striking down skeletons and zombies with her sword, throwing out fire almost wildly. As civil as Satsuki was, she was downright feral in battle. Insatiable only exacerbated that.
  867.
  868. The occult magic from the more powerful of the legion didn't bother her any - her petals destroyed the darkness as they collided, and she absorbed what she could into the tattoo in her arm. The one thing that threw her off her game came from an unexpected source.
  869.
  870. Burning. Just a little.
  871.
  872. ...Blue flames?
  873.
  874. She blinked, just once, and regained the use of her mental faculties. She looked around - the rset of the army didn't seem to mind the blue fire at all, and yet her...
  875.
  876. It didn't quite scorch, not as badly as fire should - but she could feel it. Discomfort at first, and pain the closer she got to it-
  877.
  878. "What the-" she muttered, eyes flitting wildly about the battlefield until she found the source. Katashi - but there was no time to ask "what the hell are you doing?"
  879.
  880. No, there was a far bigger skeletal fish to fry now.
  881. (Satsuki Shimasu)
  882. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  883.
  884. [19:08] Telekinetic blasts practically explode along the northern borders, dotting the grounds underneath and leaving massive craters in their wakes as he'd rush through. Some ripped into shreds by forces of Arcane, while some frosted and practically shattered within the cold moment-- it was a mess, yet the forces of chaos diminished nonetheless, forced back and defeated by the defenses of Huangzhou, and yet...
  885.
  886. The night wasn't settled. Not yet.
  887.
  888. Wordlessly did the Shogun allow presence of lifestream to close in, aiming to keep the corrupted plague at bay-- to ensure pestilence didn't shroud him and the forces surrounding the Shogun. Nowhere near enough to cover it up all, yet... he could only try. Gestures are made to help out those fallen, to make sure most didn't suffer the fatal blow, though he'd keep his guards up nonetheless, prepared for what was to come next.
  889.
  890. "Careful-- Qilin Katashi--"
  891.
  892. Though clear, the words weren't particularly loudest. Not that there was much time. The second wave was to come, it seemed.
  893.
  894. A larger one, apparently.
  895.
  896.
  897. (Zeriel Heifang)
  898. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  899.
  900. [19:08] Gabriel with the rest of his troop at his back rushed forward. Watching as his triangled formed pompadour squad took care of the normal skeletons. Gabriels sites were on something bigger, much bigger. A general perhaps? A commander? It reminded of the feeling that he got from the last time.
  901.
  902. A mass of magic hit the area. Gabriel, shifting his stance. Shielded all of it, protecting himself. But as he came out of it, the who he believed was a general, blasted him was a wave of occult. Smearing Gabriel into the dirt. His holy aura shield holding up barely. Gabriel rushed forward, his hand embued with holy and earth, touching the skeleton. The man would be held in place.
  903.
  904. " Ora!" Gabriel shouted out. As a massive amount of hits came flying out of him. His energy aura wrapping tighter around him. Becoming a lighter blue hue, fists seemed to be made out of the raw energy. Hitting the skeleton over and over. As Gabriel himself dashed threw him. As Gabriel was about to follow. He seen a mass of energy hit the skeleton, bringing him down for good. Rushing back to the rest of his group. He noticed some of his own non magi squad had not made it back from the first collision. But if this was anything like Gehenna. Gabriel knew there was more to come.
  905.
  906. His eyes would widen. Seeing as two more undead beings appeared. Huge in appearance. Gabriel smirked. "Oh.. Well this might not go so well.. Either way! Onward" He shouted rushing towards them.
  907. (Gabriel Gelmont)
  908. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  909.
  910. [19:08] By some means, the advisor weathered the storm. When the dust settled and he re-corporated into a solid mass, he cleared his throat, drawing his scarf tight over his mouth.
  911.
  912. How many had fallen, he wondered? He was a man blessed with sight, eyes alive with luminescent grey, the tell-tale thrum of mana steady there. So many mana circuits- And the wisps of souls, and though his sense had not been so honed yet, the wilderness of a war left them to hang in the air.
  913.
  914. He whipped aside his blade, ichor and rot burned away from it.
  915.
  916. "Backed into a valley, shores at our heels... Rally up, leave not one standing! All it takes is a single spore of rot to reignite the plague...! TOGETHER!"
  917.
  918. And Allende's blade fell into hand with a flourish of a crimson shoulder cape, dirtied and soiled by the battle.
  919. (Allende)
  920. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  921.
  922. [19:09] Khonsu Dara says, "Huangzhou:"
  923. [19:09] Ashera would swing her blade at the undead pawns, As They would slowly fall down one by one, she would begin to fight with all of her might. The vanguard was heavy. But she needed to continue her fight. She would slowly swing her blade, dashing towards each and every one of them. Using her holy magic to purge the evil from Agartha... She would put these spirits to rest.
  924.
  925. Until..
  926.
  927. Two huge skeletons have appeared from through the gloomy haze. This was not going to be an easy fight, not in the slightest. The stench and adversity from the undead machanations of the lich would not give in. She would start sweating, as she would glare at them.
  928.
  929. Ashera would begin to stare at them She was determined.. NO! she felt she was obligated to put these demons to rest. And if she was going to start to stop the plague. Then for sure Ashera is going to finish it. For the spirits that have died, and been used for puppets. For their freedom, this will be the end for them. This was for the people that suffered to the hands of this adversity, this was for, for...
  930.
  931. Ashera would charge forth yelling.
  932.
  933. "FOR AGARTHA!"
  934. (Ashera Ixis)
  935. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  936.
  937. [19:09] The earth quakes and an even greater feeling of rot and disgust can be felt. On the horizon a gigantic mass of flesh can be seen. It was too late for you, the Commander was here.
  938.
  939. It was a patchwork amalgamation of flesh. Arms, legs, different chunks of meat oozing a vile putrid ooze. All sewn together in the most interesting of ways. Extra arms, big green pustules ready to burst. An open stomach and rib cage with entrails hanging out accompanied by rogue slivers of bone. With every step it takes the ground quakes and more of the bile is released into the land.
  940.
  941. Finally The Plague Commander Stitches would see his target, and of course he’d send a greet. He’d pick up a skeleton and puke bile all over it, getting it nice and ready for his upcoming toss. The Skeleton would be chucked straight into the middle of the group. Releasing a vile vapor that’d begin to choke Huangzhou’s Magi and Non-Magi.
  942.
  943. It’s time.
  944.
  945. (Plague Commander Stitches)
  946. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  947.
  948. [19:10] {NARRATION} (Alright Countdown coming.)
  949. [19:16] Augatu Shino whispers something.
  950. [19:16] Augatu Shino whispers something.
  951. [19:18] {NARRATION} Finally it seemed as though the force that Rowan had sent was defeated. The forest north of Huangzhou was now littered with grime and corpses aplenty. Trees here would surely die over the next few years and the natural wildlife of a once beautiful ecosystem would rot and decay.
  952.
  953. Many soldiers fought bravely, and some perished under the boot of the undead army. One thing was for certain, unfortunately for Huangzhou, a true plague had descended upon them, a sickness that infected many who had stood so valiantly to protect their home.
  954.
  955. And though they could pick up resources left in the muck and aftermath, it would be sometime before the horrors would leave their memories.
  956.
  957. And they could only grow nervous until the next wave sent by the Lich might arrive...
  958. [19:19] {NARRATION} (Alright rewards are some Nyeshk for everyone. If you were downed once please make a line to the right. If you were downed twice to the left. Everyone else stay where you are.)
  959. [19:20] {NARRATION} (And of course RP as you like)
  960. [19:21] Wearily stood to the side, catching his breath. The battle was fierce, he was tired, his blood flowing freely upon the grass. It'd been a battle that was almost to great for him. He'd look up to the heavens and give a smile, Ixhel had surely been watching at the least.
  961. (Huatli Khan)
  962. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  963.
  964. [19:21] *The boy's picked himself up while coughing audible, holding a hand over his staff and one over his neck, breathing heavily, unable to do so even for a few good moments in there, shivers running down his spine while at it.
  965.
  966. (Edward)
  967. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  968.
  969. [19:21] Wilder-- sharper. Certainly harsher than the last time around, and yet-- even as the Shogun conjured up his shield, closing in to land powerful telekinetic blasts from closer range, ever so often would he allow his pale gaze to wander about amidst the azure flames, focused upon a certain wielder of Wisdom.
  970.
  971. Years passed, yet Salthiel's mention of it was always there-- though he merely hoped it'd not escalate any further than a mere singe. The corrupted blade was just as much a plague as the undeath before them, after all.
  972.
  973. Under control, nonetheless.
  974.
  975. As frosted tornadoes rip through, and combined arts of Huangzhou's forces push further onward, the second wave-- even if harder, larger-- was brought to its knees nonetheless.
  976.
  977. With a soft thud, Zeriel would find his feet touch the grounds yet once again, and a quick glance is offered over to the warriors around him. Words to left are clear, as ever... yet somewhat exhausted, regardless.
  978.
  979. "Help out the fallen ones... and take any injures back to the clinic-- make sure not a single undead is still twitching."
  980.
  981. It was over for the moment, it seemed.
  982.
  983.
  984. (Zeriel Heifang)
  985. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  986.
  987. [19:22] She did her best against the massive undead... using her cosmic magic to hurl herself upon like a shooting star across the night sky.. as she passed her hammer stuck its leg seemingly only damaging it a little...
  988.
  989. As her allies hammered it also she thought to dash in again... She did... on her way away from the massive thing it struck her sending her flying to the ground....
  990.
  991. Her head spun... her whole body still tingling from an injury she still hadn't recovered from...
  992.
  993. She manages to pick herself up and get away from the fighting....
  994.
  995. She failed again... she hoped Cheska and her mother were safe...
  996. (Anise Ixis)
  997. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  998.
  999. [19:22] The man would see that it was over. He manage to sweep through the undead. But the pleasing to see that they all could rest their minds. The deadly force was something he didn't expect to come like this way.
  1000.
  1001. "We made it out..."
  1002.
1003. Thoough he saw the results. Dead soliders. Corpses all over. The smell of life that was once in the area. Gone and tainted. Was there a true win here. He would go run to check where his wife was.
  1004.
  1005. "Evi!"
  1006.
1007. The man would check on everyone but he made sure to first check where his wife was.
  1008. (Towah)
  1009. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1010.
1011. [19:23] Cath pretty much threw up on the ground after that. Those situations were way to much for her to handle at all forcing her easily crumple down in a panic attack. her frail little self just heaving about some before slowly composing herself since everyone else had finished the battle. She would make a huge note in her head to never come back around here again because this part of Haung seemed extremely to dangerous for someone as young as her.
  1012. (Cath)
  1013. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1014.
1015. [19:23] The young Lumen's gaze would traverse the horrid scene before him. Bodies littered a once beautiful forest. Sweat rolled down his cheek and fell to rotting grass below his feet. He reached into his kimono and pulled out his pipe. With a match, he lit the bowl and puffed on it. As he exhaled a cloud into the night sky, the boy couldn't help but sigh.
  1016.
1017. "It's over...for now." He said, fully aware that the lich king had not yet shown himself. There must be more to this army than what decayed before him.
  1018. (Lumen)
  1019. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1020.
1021. [19:24] As he continued to stand upon the walls of Huangzhou, the Kitsune continued to wave his stave as bolts of lightning soared across the sky, meeting the frames of the undead.. and doing very little.
  1022.
1023. He couldn't do much, but joining the fray down below likely would have resulted in him getting in the way.
  1024.
1025. He could do slightly more from the walls, at least. Once all was said and done, the young Kitsune would descend to the ground and check to see if his friends were safe, and then everybody else.
  1026.
1027. "Aaaah! Reito-chan, Jesse-chan, are you okay?!" He'd ask, his holy-lightning sparking about him in a gentle nature. He would assist where able, if necessary.
  1028. (Emiri)
  1029. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1030.
1031. [19:24] Kilarii floats to Tototl's side as the beast is felled- she had been focusing on staying back, sending out earthquakes and such, and generally supporting the group from afar. She places her staff on the back, surveying the battlefield. It is too bad that she had no cleansing magic like fire, otherwise they could simply purge the undead bodies away. The girl gives a soft sigh, looking at the sheer number of injured magi and dead non-magi.
  1032.
1033. "Goodness... Huang has truly struggled. I am glad we came to assist, at least." She smiles.
  1034. (Kilarii)
  1035. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1036.
1037. [19:25] She fell again, not as quickly as the first time but again she was brought down. It only really angered her, she was practically useless in this. Whatever came to her, would be deserved. If she was hurt then it was deserved. Yet again she proved to be weak just like in the past. Against a horde like this, she was best to stay put.
  1038.
1039. She'd drag herself up, she was really unsure of anything that would happen to her, if there was something useful on the field of death and decay, she would take what she could but she probably didn't deserve it. NOt with how badly she performed.
  1040. (Evi Britt)
  1041. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1042.
1043. [19:26] Reito had survived. She had lived through the fight. She was muddied, wet, bloody... She was a complete mess but she had survived. Which was more than what she was expecting. When it was seemingly all over and done with, and there was grime and muck and sickness pervading the land....
  1044.
1045. The Kitsune looked sad. The death and destruction of not only their people but their land? It upset her to no end and she didn't know how to properly express that at all. The trees would die. The animals would die. The people had already died, risen to be slaves in an undead army... But at least those people had hopefully been freed.
  1046.
1047. With several of the corpses, Reito worked to burn them diligently - not allowing Arthor Rowan to raise them back up as further pawns in his rotting army. As Emiri came up to her, she turned; she looked tired but overall? Okay. Cuts, bruises, scrapes - the usual. But she wasn't dead.
  1048.
1049. "I'm alright, Emiri. Are you two alright?" she asked now. She was no doctor but... She could at least be concerned for her friends, right? For everyone here.
  1050. (Reito)
  1051. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1052.
1053. [19:26] Feeling the effects of the battle, and now that it seemed well and truly over, Cormac let out a loud bellow of relief. "It's so nice to have survived that! I can't believe we made it!", he cried out, wanting to collapse on the ground. He avoided it, of course, given the plague and grime covering it. It was something they would be dealing with for some time.
  1054.
1055. Instead, he lurched over, wounds covering his body from nicks and cuts he'd taken in the course of battle. He preferred this over death, though. Even if it did sting almost as badly as the stench in his nose. Giving a few coughs, he'd take a small rest on the edge of the battlefield, breathing heavily and nearly crying.
  1056.
1057. "We actually made it, wow... I can't believe all of the strong magi we have here! We are truly blessed to have the aid of everyone like we did today... I don't want to imagine what would have happened if we hadn't stood together like that...", he'd take a tired look around, "Even still... It feels like we're missing some fighters... I wonder...", he trailed off in thought.
  1058. (Cormac O'Dubhain)
  1059. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1060.
1061. [19:26] Augatu Shino whispers something.
1062. [19:27] Tototl continued to hack and slash through the undead scourge before him. The monstrous skeletons were, as expected, nothing to joke around about. It all reminded him of that faithful invasion just off the edge of Cruxati. Spirits - The bile, the sickness, this wasn't like the initial attack. Action was needed sooner than later.
  1063.
1064. In time, of course, the undead horde fell - The large abominations clattering to the ground in a mess of gore and bones. Heavy breathing accompanied the self-proclaimed Seer's end-fight ritual, eyes darting towards Kilarii as she floats to his side. He'd merely nod, quickly grabbing her hand before darting off towards the east.
  1065.
1066. That's all they were here for, after all.
  1067. (Tototl)
  1068. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1069.
1070. [19:27] As the sounds of battle faded, the moans, groans and screams of the injuried and dying remained. Tsu walked around the muddy ground, looking at the corpses of the fallen. Those of the undead army and her fellow citizens. She were somber, but her burning eyes were filled with a purpose.
  1071.
1072. She looked to the Shogun for guidance, met his gaze, and nodded. Then she approached the first injured person she found still alive, and knelt beside them. A soft hand reached out to touch their cheek and a soft smile met their eyes. "Shhhhh, don't worry. We are going to take good care of you."
  1073.
1074. Tsu looked at their wound and bit the side of her cheek. A deep cut across their arm bleeding profusely. She held two fingers up in front of her and concentrated her mana. They glowed a brilliant, white hot. Reaching down she swiped them across the cut. It burned, the smell of the cooking flesh hitting her nose as the soldier screamed out in pain the passed out. But, the wound was closed and burned no more.
  1075.
1076. She ripped a strip of cloth from her kimono sleeve, and tied it around the wound, then kissed him on the forehead before moving on to the next injured non-magi laying on the battlefield.
  1077. (Tsu Iclyn)
  1078. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1079.
1080. [19:28] {NARRATION} (I'm going to turn FF on until I'm finished injuring, please dont attack me or I'll scream.)
1081. [19:29] And again Katashi dashed into the hell, his glaive leading. Undead fell, but it was the commanders he needed to take down... Without them, the assault would flounder.
  1082.
1083. Around, under, he weaved, blade coming up to violently absorb blow after blow, redirecting the terrible energy with his innate powers... The commander was attacked, Katashi diving forward, driving his glaive into flesh, scorching through corrupt necromanctic energy.
  1084.
1085. And in the end, when the fighting stopped?
  1086.
1087. Katashi dropped to a knee, breathing heavily, flames still burning around him. The grass, if it hadn't already been rotted away, would've been fine. The people that it licked against would feel nothing more than gentle warmth.
  1088.
1089. His flames were picky, only 'cleansing' the corrupt, burning their bodies and skeletons down to dust.
  1090.
1091. "Gather the bodies. Burn them out, get rid of this plague in fire..." He muttered, exhausted.
  1092. (Katashi Vu)
  1093. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1094.
1095. [19:29] So many skeletons. She had always been led to believe that fire worked well on them - that you were to purge them with holy flame and burn them to ash and cinder; but that didn't work as well when the skeleton was a massive, shambling thing surrounded by damp, virulent toxins and whirling pestilent wind. Try as she might - a sword simply didn't cut into the calcified mass of her enemies as much as she had hoped. It scorched and burned, it tore at poisonous flesh. But it couldn't put an end to them - and by the time the creature's fell thanks to the combined efforts; she was left exhausted and empty. Flames and wind guttering and dying down. Hands shaking - weak and tired.
  1096. (Cheska Toryia)
  1097. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1098.
1099. [19:29] The cool energy of the night time sky grazed the Dara's skin as he'd begin to glow a light mix of gold and blue during the battle. His attacks begin to hit harder against the rampaging undead though his attack wasn't the one that brought the dead down he felt like he really made a bit of a difference while aiding two of his allies Towah and Evi with holy and nature magic whenever he had the chance.
  1100.
1101. The Magi kept fighting and fighting until the thing went down. A satisfied grin on the man's face before fading away at the sight of those that have fallen.
  1102.
1103. Green hues stared vacantly at the rotting trees and dead people less able bodied than he and the other Magi. He didn't feel sad, but there was a kind of vacant emptiness inside he couldn't explain at the sight of this like he was supposed to feel sad or something else he just couldn't anymore?
  1104.
1105. Khonsu shook his head, "We did it guys!~" A smile once more took over the Dara's face as he pumped an arm into the air triumphantly.
  1106.
1107. 'That was a better run then I expected, Khonsu', Sugmati chimed in, 'With a bit more practice you could utilize the night a lot better than your own power.'
  1108.
1109. A hand returned the staff back to his back before he used it to brush his hair back. "I really should go to the clinic for a bit though", the Dara muttered to himself, "Getting another injury while I'm recovering won't do anyone any good."
  1110. (Khonsu Dara)
  1111. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1112.
1113. [19:30] Kuso flames died down as the Kitsune took a well deserved moment of rest. Taking a deep breath and looking around at everyone a smile appeared under the mask, everyone seemed to be okay from the looks of it until further investigation took place. This was truly a struggle for the city and yet they stood strong and protected their home.
  1114.
1115. "It's finally over for now" He thought to himself.
  1116.
1117. He took man deep breaths, the toll of this battle was great and pushed him to maintain his composer all the way though. The amount of undead was a bit much even for him though he still manage to hold up against them.
  1118. (Kuso Hitoshi)
  1119. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1120.
1121. [19:30] Suddenly, the battle was over, and the screams that filled the air were suddenly replaced with moans of dying, wounded, and of the dead. Israa found themselves still standing, body heaving with heavy breaths and body caked in both dried mud and spilled blood that stunk most foul. The smell went unnoticed.
  1122.
1123. They made it.. Israa looks down at their shaking, quivering hands clutching tight around their staff. Their flesh was stained with ash, turned black with the intensity of the flames the weaving sarradian had casted just moments ago. Their heart was at a near constant drum, visibly flaring out their neck and joints with each beat.
  1124.
1125. The reflection of the battle lingered in Israa's mind, where the dancer had moments ago been spinning and sending outwards large pillars of flame and cracked earth with each sway and swing of the arms.
  1126.
1127. Israa looks out at the burned battlefield, torn asunder beneath the many elements. With a deep sigh, the sarradian picks up their staff and moves in to begin cleaning..
  1128.
1129. Their fire.. Would prove more than helpful in cleansing the filth back into ash.. So that things could regrow..
  1130. (Israa Farhat)
  1131. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1132.
1133. [19:30] Even if she stood as far as possible without interfering with her capability to supply the holiest of magics to aid the wounded, depravity attached itself to her form anyway. Her 'healing' had barely any effect on the larger wounds that many might have sustained, even her own.
  1134.
1135. Curses. Why couldn't she have been a more capable magi? A more capable healer? A sizeable chunk of that healing would obviously be directed at the one sustaining it, but much would also be directed at allies and brothers and or sisters in arms. More and more of the Lich's terrible army marched in. Attack after attack. A ringing in the ears. A cacophonous ringing that shattered any hopes of focusing on anything else.
  1136.
1137. Someone so young, and they still sustained injuries. Occultic magic swiped away at the young lady, and holy flames failed to serve as protection against them.
  1138.
1139. The ringing grew. Why wouldn't it? Kumi's face contorted into a shape that contained both fear and confusion within it. Confusion at the massive army that had just appeared out of practically nowhere. Fear of the same exact thing, fear of injuries as well. Kumi didn't want to fight head on, but to assist in a few other ways. That tactic did not work out, and she had faltered many a time.
  1140.
1141. Blood seeped out from her mouth, teeth digging into her lips as the screeching within her ears grew louder. Louder, louder, louder. It couldn't stop. It wouldn't.
  1142.
1143. This was not worth it. Not nearly worth it. Allowing the rest to do their jobs, Kumi would retreat, a migraine of the largest proportion coming on.
  1144.
  1145. Not. Worth. It.
  1146. (Kumi Guren)
  1147. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1148.
1149. [19:31] Shen's next target was the rotting mass. A brilliant cerulean blur blitzed down the undead abomination, his grip hardening. He gritted his teeth as he bared the stinging pain of the occultic winds, shields of earth and energy melted and rended apart. In that moment, he looked death in the face.
  1150.
1151. And his eyes lit up.
  1152.
1153. Everyone that was fighting alongside him, the city at his back. The friends that he had made, the home that he was created in. A wellspring of energy had been tapped into, a boundless spirit that gave him strength and allowed his body to move. When everyone's hearts were beating in unison and he was fighting alongside them?
  1154.
1155. It made him feel human. And a human that had everything to lose was more terrifying than any horde of undead.
  1156.
1157. An unprecedented mass of mana spiraled into his palms, light pouring from inbetween his fingers. A blinding cerulean glow shone true, the ground quaking beneath him. His whole life, he believed himself to be the Emperor's divine wrath. A weapon, a tool to enact his will.
  1158.
1159. But, today? This fight? He was nobody but himself.
  1160.
1161. He pushed his palms forward, an enormous burst of energy erupting from his bare hands. Everything he had and more, he recklessly tugged on his soulbond with the Emperor to imbue this attack with every last drop of power he could muster. The result was a colossal mass of raw energy which ate the undead mass alive, sending his body flying over the horizon and swallowing him whole as it did.
  1162.
1163. Infected Mass has been defeated by Shen! They're unable to continue fighting.
  1164.
1165. And his blast rocketed into the clouds, creating a path that the moonlight peeked through.
  1166.
1167. By the end of it, Shen was breathing heavily. Sweat and blood dripping from his features, he used his sword to support himself. The man stumbled in place, fatigued. Wobbling, his energy had nearly been completely spent. But he had strength to do one last thing.
  1168.
1169. He raised his sword into the air, victorious.
  1170. (Shen)
  1171. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1172.
1173. [19:31] The second verse was much the same as the first; Satsuki's petals of light simply erased what they touched as she tried to find any opening that would enable her to plunge Insatiable into either of the foul beasts. She was more careful to avoid Katashi's blue flames this time, still failing to grasp why nobody else seemed bothered by them.
  1174.
1175. But it was that caution that led to mistakes. She was struck - barely, fortunately - by one of the creatures, and as she gasped for air she inhaled far too much of those plagued winds. She avoided the worst of it by raising her hand and absorbing what she could of the wretched air into her tattoo, but the damage had already been done.
  1176.
1177. It wasn't quite as severe as some of her companions - but she'd feel it for sure.
  1178.
1179. "Good... good work," she rasped quietly, fleeing back into the city during the period between the ending of the battle and before everyone's confusion and adrenaline wore off. She wasn't one to slink away with her tail between her legs, but this was awfully close.
  1180.
1181. There were... things to meditate about.
  1182. (Satsuki Shimasu)
  1183. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1184.
1185. [19:31] Nodding along, the Kitsune would check himself briefly before shaking his head.
  1186.
1187. "I'm okay, I just hid on the walls so I wouldn't get too hurt." He spoke, nodding along.
  1188.
1189. Emiri seriously lacked the same magical potential that his peers did, apparently.
  1190.
  1191. Then, he would turn.
  1192.
1193. "Okay, I'm going to go see if others need help now." He declared, before, well, going to help others! (he had to afk too)
  1194. (Emiri)
  1195. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1196.
1197. [19:32] Anise Ixis says, "nerfs"
1198. [19:33] There was a peace, in this. Had he died, Allende considered that he may do so without regrets: A valiant defense, good company, a remorseless enemy.
  1199.
1200. It was everything a young peasant boy could've asked for, and not even the stench could rob that from him. He felt like a knight.
  1201.
1202. Stitches had proven a monolithic foe, mere presence enough to nauseate and corrupt flesh, slough it in layers. But Allende, teeth cut upon the Nethradin, had seen similar prior. Eyes alight with mana parsed, frame by frame, the rise and lull of the miasmic taint.
  1203.
1204. When the undead's pustules dried, when it had been hobbled, he found a small window to strike. The advisor, more shade and fog than man by now, lashed forward in a breathless storm of blades- Both illusory and physical, mana circuits livened and projected the image of a fearsome, many-armed idol behind him. Like a ripsaw off it's chain, he surged, gore, puss, and hunks of ichor sawed gruesomely away. Then, he fellback into the mortal shape of a man, staggering several steps after fumbling his landing.
  1205.
1206. Allende's old stitches had opened for the exertion. A patch of blood welled and stained at the thigh of one of his legs, chips of bone had stuck to the decorated Izhuran blade he wore, but he found the fortitude to rise, levering it in it's scabbard to stand. It would not do to falter, now.
  1207.
1208. He laughed weakly, however foul the diseased haze, scanning the field. Blighted and dying. The advisor busied himself with catching his breath, drawing down his scarf, spitting up blood.
  1209. (Allende)

  1211.
1212. [19:34] Jesse huffs, sludging his way through the now decimated field to look for his friends. He was looking horrible, frankly, covered in blood and viscera from what must've been at least a hundred or more undead foes he had personally slain. Not to mention all the gunk that had stuck itself to him from others slaughtering the undead next to him.
  1213.
1214. The first sight his bleary eyes take to is Reito. Or at least, as far as he could tell. His vision had been caked over by mud and gunk - a hand moving to wipe away at his eyes before he takes a second, clearer look at her.
  1215.
1216. A look of relief washes over him.
  1217.
1218. "Ah... you made it out safe." It looked like, at the very least, that had significantly improved the grim mood for him.
  1219. (Jesse Hawke)
  1220. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1221.
  1222. [19:34] Edward says, "roll"
1223. [19:34] Reito exclaims, "You too!"
1224. [19:35] Jesse Hawke says, "Yeah..."
1225. [19:35] Finally, it was over.
  1226.
1227. The corruption had been defeated, thanks to the combined might of the forces that had come to push it back. A harrowing experience, and she could tell just from a cursory examination that several people had given their lives in defense of the city.
  1228.
1229. Her eyes scanned the aftermath, her staff resting against the ground as she panted. Where was she...
  1230.
1231. Eyes fell upon the sight of her best friend, the silver haired amazonness, whom had been downed in the battle. Her gaze widened, panick overtaking common sense as she flew to the woman's side. She dropped her staff, bringing her hands up to take Cheska's face in them. "Oh gods, Cheska..."
  1232.
1233. The woman definitely looked worse for wear, and though her surface injuries were minor, even the inexperienced eye of the drakanite could tell that there was something deeply wrong. She stroked the taller woman's hair, tears falling down her cheeks in both concern, and relief. She wasn't dead... At least she wasn't dead...
  1234. (Dhyne)

  1236.
1237. [19:35] {NARRATION} (Ok line up from me for goodies)
1238. [19:39] Edward says, "summertime sadness"
1239. [19:41] {NARRATION} (If you haven't gotten a reward come and grab it.)
  1240. [19:42] {Item} You picked up Nyeshk x3.
1241. [19:43] {NARRATION} (Alright sorry about the Guild mixup, hope you all had fun. That's the end folks.)
1242. [19:43] Ashera would fight the skeletons, she would attack them from all angles. As her large greatsword clashing with the large skeleton her glow of holy light would push her through the darkness before her. As after the enemy was weakened and defeated, she opted to help and move any surivivors out of Harms Way, as she would carry a few people on her back, including a few non magi soldiers. As not only many had been knocked unconscious, most were breathing, and still in danger to the heavy haze.... She would Surround herself with holy aura, and slowly carry their burden as she walked.
  1243.
  1244.
  1245.
1246. She thought, as she would walk away knowing that the lifeless corpses were placed at rest, As they were finally free from the shackles of the lich king Arthur Rowan. She would hug Anise. As she would have tears, As again. She was injured.
  1247.
1248. "Anise.... Are you ok dear? I do hope that you will recover from this soon...But on the bright side... You helped remove the plague from Agartha. Something that we Krausites…. Something that we Paladins who follow under Kraus do. Great job dear.."
  1249.
1250. Ashera would say. As she is glad that not just her daughter, but everyone walked out with severe injuries to them. It was quite a joyous sight to behold. As it had placed her heart at ease to see that everyone gets to walk out in one piece... Nothing short of the blessing of Kraus she thought. As she would smile.
  1251.
  1252. (Ashera Ixis)
