- Magic in Tivrasus is a very dangerous thing. All spells require a bit of sacrifice on part of the caster, towards an otherworldly realm known as The Beyond. This typically comes in the form of blood; which naturally, drains the caster over time, but can be replenished by careful use.
- Most incantations require blood sacrifice. The more blood you sacrifice, the more you'll be capable of harnessing the magic that comes from The Beyond. Spellcasters are often stereotyped as masochistic as a result, since they typically sacrifice blood and flesh in order to perform certain rituals or spells
- CONTRACTS
- Sometimes, patrons from The Beyond may take notice of a caster's exploits. These patrons will make deals or offers towards the caster, in exchange for something of value. These dark patrons offer great power, but will always come at a price.
- THE BASICS
- Spells are simple and predefined things such as 'fireball'.
- Each spell leeches some of your blood when cast. Repeated use can cause dizziness and even death.
- SOME Spells may have an additional cost tacked onto them.
