I have a pasta
A flavorful one
It tases delicious
On all summer days

I cherish my pasta
Every day
It was my mother’s
Before the incident

She stepped out
Onto the tracks
And found herself
In front of a train

I’ve recovered since then
But I keep one thing
My singular pasta
The only thing left
