  4. [5:51 PM] Mizuki: basically, we started a new nightmare, and recelle came with us
  5. [5:51 PM] Mizuki: this new nighmare is a world that is completely taken and destroyed by undead
  6. [5:52 PM] Mizuki: we found a few survivors (thieves) and talked to them
  7.  
  8. [5:52 PM] Mizuki: they said there's a group of paladins (survivors of some orders that bounded together) on the temple district on the city we are right now
  9. [5:53 PM] Mizuki: we should go there and check sooner or later
  10. [5:53 PM] Mizuki: at the moment, we are inside a prison filled with undead, this prison is actually the base of the thieves, and we will help them clean the place up
  11. [5:54 PM] Mizuki: we already killed a banshee (we = Lexon, Alicia and Azura) and a mad dude that was the jailer
  12. [5:55 PM] Mizuki: we also discovered that a lot of people from inside the dream are simply copies of people from the outside world we see everyday, to "fill the gap"
  13. [5:55 PM] Mizuki: Recelle may be one of those people and she's pretty sad, since Alicia told her that
  14. [5:55 PM] Mizuki: (Alicia meant no harm, please do not bully ;-;)

  19. [5:57 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The day begins anew. It's not exactly sunrise - you have been informed that sun not longer "rise" the way it used to be. Visibility certainly improved, but the orb of light in the sky is dim, seemingly as if it was drained of all life and all hope.
  20. [5:58 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The undead are largely unaffected by the dim sun. In fact, they seem to stir alive a bit... The city is filled with the sounds of shuffling steps and groaning dead.

  27. [6:00 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle stretches a bit as the group gets ready - nobody really sleeps anymore here - and ... checks her musket, almost by reflex.
  28. [6:01 PM] Runic: Lexon observes the outskirts of the city, making note of the slight noises of movement and groaning that stirs about, espcially compared to the more quiet night of the undead
  29. [6:01 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The morning ritual involves maintenance and keeping the thing in working condition.
  30. [6:01 PM] Mizuki: (are we done with the prison? Killed everything inside already?)
  31. [6:01 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Azura prowls around the underground prison a little, as if memorizing the place for her own purpose.
  32. [6:01 PM] Runic: "No wonder why those guys took to the rooftops during 'morning'" Lexon notes while putting emphasis to the 'morning' part
  33. [6:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Not the individual zombies that are locked inside the cells, but anything "unusual" in term of undead has been removed.)
  34. [6:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There's a courtyard filled with 400 or so zombies still, for one thing.

  36. [6:02 PM] Sawai: Hasn't seen this place before, and is frightened by all the weird noises. And wonders why there's a cat here. Hides behind Recelle
  37. [6:02 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They are shuffling into positions and occasionally bumping into each other, a mockery of a morning exercise without grace or purpose for the dead.
  38. [6:03 PM] Mizuki: "I guess so" - Replied Alicia, still sad thanks to the previous events
  39. [6:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle smiles and holds onto the princess's hand a bit, and squeezes. "Good morning. Alicia, look who's here!"
  40. [6:03 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It seems that Recelle has forgotten most of what happened yesterday, or at least hid it well.
  41. [6:04 PM] Runic: "I still assume the best course of action is to take the rooftops, and head to the temple. See if we can get more info, and maybe some assistance"
  42. [6:04 PM] Mizuki: "Oh, hi there princess, how have you been?" - She asks with a tired look, trying to force a smile(edited)
  43. [6:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Shadow Jager stands up from where he was resting.
  44. [6:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "I, SHADOW JAGER, HAS WOKEN FROM MY SLUMBER."
  45. [6:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Son, I appreciate your morning vigor and the woods are chirpin with sounds of a thousand morning birds." [Pipe down, ya nitwit!] Speaks the Dwarf.

  47. [6:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Two thieves, cloaked in shadow, nods at each other, one reporting quietly. "We head out to scout for the day."

  50. [6:07 PM] Sawai: Gets more and more confused as new faces keep popping up.

  52. [6:09 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Shadow Jager, the half-elf thiefson of a thief, grins at the party for a moment, before giving a soft cough. "Be happy, friends, for I, Shadow Jager, will assist you in your journey." He tries to sound cool, after the somewhat questionable display.

  59. [6:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle salutes a bit, before sticking her tongue out. "Ready to move out, erm, Shadow Ja- Jager." Recelle stutters, trying not to laugh.

  62. [6:12 PM] Sawai: Whispers to Recelle asking who all the people are. And why there is a cat.
  63. [6:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Son, breakfast first. A good, common, normal citizen should not do without breakfast!" The dwarf says.
  64. [6:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Ohh." Recelle pets the princess's shoulder and squeezes a little, as if to reesurre her."They aren't bad people. A group of the underworld figures we found and made friend with. We are staying under because there's a lot of undead outside. We'll get a move on, soon... And that cat's Alicia's raven, in a different form." Recelle pauses. "You know. magic."

  66. [6:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Azura tilts her head and gives a small meow at Recelle and the princess, as if saying a greeting.
  67. [6:15 PM] Sawai: Runs off to pet Azura
  68. [6:15 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Azura in this form is small tabby cat with yellow stripes and soft fur. She doesn't look threatening, but the eyes seem to hide many secrets. Not that any of them matter, as it leans into your pet, purring softly.

  76. [6:20 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The thieves are doing their own organization, plotting on expeditions to recover some usable items and medication.

  81. [6:21 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Good call, Lexon. They aren't shy about sharing information on Silverkeep (Silverkeep? Silverykeep?) with you.
  82. [6:22 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The city, Silverkeep, is divided up into districts. The thieves are most familiar with the Poor's Quarter, and there's the Market District, Temple District that they frequent. And then there's the Castle, and Mage Towers.

[6:23 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Between bites they tell you a bit about their target: They tend to be raiding the Market Districts for goods and medicines and the like, occasionally dropping by the Temple District and see if there any, ahh... Untended temples that have goods that.. may require liberation.

  85. [6:24 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: You know, to fight the undead menace and all.
  86. [6:25 PM] Runic: Lexon listens to the useful information while eating, "And I assume the mage tower is where the cultists reside, right?"(edited)
  87. [6:26 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They surprisingly don't know. "They seem to be living with the dead, and they somehow distinguish them enough as to not strike at them - even the more intelligent undeads avoid harming the cultists." One reports.
  88. [6:29 PM] Mizuki: "I'll take a look from the roof while you finish eating. Not really hungry right now" - Said Alicia getting up - "How do I get there?"
  89. [6:30 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The thief that you are talking to looks you up and down... "Alright. First floor, window, swing up, catch the ledge, flip aside, use the ladder after you check for flying dead."

  91. [6:30 PM] Runic: Lexon sighs due the uncertainty of where the cultists mainly operate at, "Well thanks for the information anyway everyone, seems like the best option still is for me and my group can take is to the temple district where the other more religous survivors are for more info"
  92. [6:31 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... You are reminded that you cleared out the building enough that you are able to access the lookout tower.
  93. [6:32 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "Careful, they are nutcases. Worse than a wet day's dogs." [Good luck, brother.] One of the thief says.
  94. [6:33 PM] Mizuki: "No need, I can get there on my own." - Said Alicia - "Thanks. I'll be waiting for you all up there."
  95. [6:33 PM] Runic: "Oi oi, can't we just take the path to the lookout tower, we cleared it out the night before" Lexon coughs "plus I think that route might be a little too challenging for a wizard"(edited)
  96. [6:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "It's easy! Anyone can do it." The thief is grossly overestimating the party in general's acrobatic capabilities.

  98. [6:34 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: John, the Shadow Jager, nods, as if to agree.
  99. [6:35 PM] Runic: "Well if she wants to take that path, she's all free to do so, just saying" Lexon says worringly

  102. [6:36 PM] Faerie: (In this final battel, I, Shadow the Hedgeheg, shall turn towards the Darkness)

[6:37 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: From there, you have a slightly better bearing of your surrounding - the rooftop is connected by planks, and Shadow guides you toward an edge on one of the side, away from prying eyes, that one may jump off to access a ladder. He also shows you the mechanism that they rigged up to access from the ground level.

  109. [6:38 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle nods. "Well... Things will be fine. Don't worry!" Recelle reassures the princess.
  110. [6:38 PM] Mizuki: In the meanwhile Alicia waits on the roof, lying down staring at the sky
  111. [6:39 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The sky is grey and... It's a big, immense sky. Sky, like an inkwell of cloud.
  112. [6:40 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Sun barely shines, and Azura walks by Alicia, nuzzling her leg.
  113. [6:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: There's a ... Bit of a run from where the prison ends, the hole in the wall of defenses, and onto the rooftop of nearby building.
  114. [6:41 PM] Mizuki: Alicia pets Azura - "Recelle is acting all happy, but she is probably feeling terrible deep inside, I shouldn't have said anything..."
  115. [6:41 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Shadow doesn't seem too concerned, and the two other thieves that are departing to scout are going ahead before you.

  118. [6:42 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Azura merely makes a soft sound as she's petted.
  119. [6:42 PM] Sawai: Watches Azura longingly, wishing she too had a pet.

  124. [6:44 PM] Faerie: A cloaked figure takes off behind the group, decidedly covered as much as their clothes will allow; as if bothered by the faint, sickly light coating all from the sky.

  138. [6:51 PM] Faerie: ''I just got woken up for a little, is all. It would have been unfortunate if you had departed without me here, I don't think I would have been able to find you lot.'' He looks upon everyone present, and notes the Princess being there.

  140. [6:52 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Recelle, being right there next to the princess, looks at you strangely, Razmik. "Uh. I am pretty good. Thanks."

  143. [6:54 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The plan of the day is to get to the Temple District and seek the major survivor group there. To what purpose? Ah, but you don't have to answer that. For the time being, once you are ready to move out, let me know.

[6:56 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Despite the ton of zombies around the area, the area is considered "safe" - there's nothing valuable in the prison area, as far as anyone knows, and the concentration of zombies discourage would-be looters from visiting. As for the ones actively hiding here, it's similar to hiding something under the lampshade.

  159. [6:57 PM] Faerie: ''Erm, 'Shadow' said something about these rooftops here... do you think we'll all be able to navigate across?''
  160. [6:58 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: It seems to be commonly agreed upon that the rooftops are the best way to move by the living... And sometimes the more intelligent undead takes note of that. But by and large, one can avoid the crowd of zombies via the rooftops.

  162. [7:00 PM] Faerie: Razmik stops to think for a second. He was no slouch and knew his way around long jumps, sure, but the possibility of falling off in heavy armor (or worse, managing a jump only to break one of the roofs and falling through) seemed a bit discouraging.
