  21. And that irritates me. My mind generates various stories about how I could do it while not directly helping Elon Musk, but those appear to all be delusions.

  23. Which is to say, this whole procedure ends up being a powerful mental discipline process that allows for considerable mindfulness meditation, which is long-term very useful.

  30. One thing that helped me was my vegetarianism and then veganism.

  32. In both vegetarianism and veganism, there are constantly things around me that I'm not allowed to indulge in independent of how I feel about that.

  34. After about six months of that, your mind just gives up: "I guess no matter stories I tell it doesn't matter -- I yield."

  36. Of course, I should thank Buddhism for much of this. Buddhism is an ideology that fundamentally confronts the injustices in the human condition that are pervasive wherever humans reside, of which corporate boycotts and veganism might be conceptualized as specific cases.
