  1. [18:47] Lavinia takes a seat, hands on her thighs.
  2. (Lavinia Walters)
  3. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  4.
  5. [18:48] Daemia Hexis asks, "Okay, what's the information then? What's so important?"
  6. [18:48] Lavinia Walters says, "Seneval creeps toward me. Very close."
  7. [18:48] Lavinia presents her wrist with the black silk band.
  8. (Lavinia Walters)
  9. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  10.
  11. [18:49] Lavinia Walters says, "He brought up how errr, unhealthy you can be to me. And he'll be a better mentor."
  12. [18:49] Daemia Hexis asks, "Unhealthy?"
  13. [18:49] Daemia Hexis says, "I don't even know Seneval."
  14. [18:49] Daemia Hexis says, "He doesn't even SPEAK to me."
  15. [18:49] Daemia Hexis says, "But if you wish to go to him, then do so."
  16. [18:49] Daemia Hexis says, "It makes me no difference."
  17. [18:50] Lavinia Walters asks, "Well he speaks to me a- You'd let me go, just like that?"
  18. [18:50] Daemia Hexis exclaims, "Yes, because you're so gullible!"
  19. [18:50] Lavinia Walters asks, "How?"
  20. [18:50] Daemia glances down to her nails, looking over them.
  21. (Daemia Hexis)
  22. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  23.
  24. [18:50] Daemia Hexis exclaims, "Don't know, you spoke to someone who thinks they know me, but doesn't even interact with me!"
  25. [18:51] Daemia Hexis says, "And this is the part where you go."
  26. [18:51] Daemia Hexis says, "Oh please, Daemia, try to convince me you're not a bad person, oooo-wooo."
  27. [18:51] Daemia Hexis says, "Please tell me this person you don't even know of, isn't soooo important, blah-blah-blah."
  28. [18:51] Daemia Hexis says, "If you wish to be mentored by him, then go ahead, I shan't care."
  29. [18:51] Daemia Hexis says, "But don't make it sound like it's my problem when I wasn't even aware of his existance, his supposed dislike for me, or your interest in him which you're trying to passively-agressively deny within this moment."
  30. [18:51] Daemia Hexis says, "Or more importantly what you've been dooooing!~"
  31. [18:52] Lavinia blinks.
  32. (Lavinia Walters)
  33. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  34.
  35. [18:53] Lavinia Walters asks, "I just missed you. And he put doubt in my mind. So I come to you. But you don't care?"
  36. [18:53] Lavinia Walters says, "And he knows your mother. Has issues with her and by proxy, you."
  37. [18:56] Lavinia Walters says, "I ... I didn't wanna accuse you of anythin'. There's just so many hands reachin' for me, wantin' somethin' from me."
  38. [18:57] Lavinia Walters says, "Givin' me so many doubts. I may have taken in the dark, but the fear's still there."
  39. [18:57] Daemia Hexis says, "If you will allow doubts to sway you that easily."
  40. [18:57] Daemia Hexis exclaims, "Then I have no words for ya!"
  41. [18:57] Lavinia Walters exclaims, "They didn't sway anythin'! I came t'you, didn't I?!"
  42. [18:58] Daemia Hexis says, "The way you're speaking suggests differently."
  43. [18:58] Daemia Hexis says, "Like you're just dipping in everyone's hands for the best picking."
  44. [18:58] Daemia Hexis exclaims, "Flat-footin' more like!"
  45. [18:58] * You have been awarded 1 Roleplay Points! *
  46. [18:58] Lavinia Walters says, "I had to grow somewhere, Daemia."
  47. [18:59] Lavinia Walters says, "You were occupied when I saw you. I sought other places to better myself and become what we wanted, you and I."
  48. [19:00] Daemia Hexis says, "No, what you wanted, since you're trying to imply I am at fault here, using Seneval as an excuse."
  49. [19:01] Daemia Hexis says, "Sure, use the cowardly demon who runs away from his duties and the tower because he's scared of me Ma' being incharge or some punk shit."
  50. [19:01] Daemia Hexis exclaims, "Cool! Nice! Good! Sly! Sneaky!"
  51. [19:02] Lavinia Walters says, "That's not what ... Tsk."
  52. [19:02] Lavinia Walters says, "I'm sorry, Daemia."
  53. [19:03] Lavinia Walters says, "Sorry I spoke to ya' like that. And it gave ya' the wrong impression."
  54. [19:03] Lavinia Walters says, "I took in the dark, so I could be someone who could help ya' reach your goal. Because we're friends."
  55. [19:04] Lavinia Walters says, "I was so happy to show you that I did it! I s'pose I was a lil' frustrated when you were so distracted 'bout it."
  56. [19:04] Lavinia Walters says, "And then Maeve came 'n' ... Tsk."
  57. [19:04] Daemia Hexis exclaims, "Yes and by working with someone who probably wants to see me downfall! Haha!"
  58. [19:04] Daemia Hexis exclaims, "Good joke!"
  59. [19:05] Lavinia Walters says, "I will NOT allow that to happen."
  60. [19:05] Lavinia Walters says, "I'm not workin' with him, I merely spoke ..."
  61. [19:07] Daemia Hexis says, "And ya' spoke of me, gave out more words than you should."
  62. [19:07] Daemia Hexis says, "And now Seneval is getting ideas. Whoever he is."
  63. [19:07] Daemia Hexis says, "Whatever he is."
  64. [19:07] Lavinia Walters says, "Stop acting like I betrayed you."
  65. [19:07] Lavinia Walters says, "I did not."
  66. [19:08] Lavinia Walters says, "You're actively trying to shove me away. It's as Maeve said, you're bored of me."
  67. [19:08] Daemia Hexis says, "I haven't even spoken to you or Maeve in a while."
  68. [19:08] Daemia Hexis says, "Maeve doesn't even interact with me."
  69. [19:08] Lavinia Walters says, "That's not what she said. But that doesn't matter."
  70. [19:09] Daemia Hexis says, "Ah, see. Like I said. Gullible."
  71. [19:09] Daemia Hexis says, "Instead of coming to me."
  72. [19:10] Daemia Hexis says, "You get dumb opinions."
  73. [19:10] Daemia Hexis exclaims, "Nice!"
  74. [19:10] Lavinia Walters says, "I did come to you. Here I am."
  75. [19:10] Lavinia Walters says, "We just happen to not have a very convenient time window."
  76. [19:11] Daemia Hexis says, "Funny how they expect to subvert this tower, by taking away it's allies."
  77. [19:11] Daemia Hexis says, "Through lies... Hm."
  78. [19:11] Daemia Hexis says, "So Maeve is with 'em too, huh."
  79. [19:11] Lavinia Walters says, "It may be part of their ploy."
  80. [19:11] Lavinia Walters says, "I don't fuckin' know."
  81. [19:12] Lavinia Walters says, "What I do know is that I came t'you."
  82. [19:13] Lavinia Walters says, "a"
  83. [19:14] Lavinia Walters says, "I've even started workin' on witchcraft with a witch of the tower! "
  84. [19:14] Lavinia Walters says, "But I still had a shred of doubt."
  85. [19:16] Lavinia Walters says, "A doubt that my friend could care less about me. It may be gullible and stupid of me, but at least I cared."
  86. [19:16] Lavinia Walters says, "Heh ..."
  87. [19:17] Daemia Hexis says, "You cared enough to sprout my name around in the midst of a petty civil war and the fact you come to me after listening to so many lies."
  88. [19:17] Daemia Hexis says, "I'm not sure."
  89. [19:18] Lavinia Walters exclaims, "Because you mean somethin' to me. Of course I mention how you've been important to me!"
  90. [19:18] Lavinia Walters says, "And predators used it to their advantage. "
  91. [19:18] Lavinia Walters says, "I realize this. And I'm sorry for bein' weak. "
  92. [19:19] Daemia Hexis says, "I suppose now you've broken a few golden rules, Lavinia, I'm going to have to enslave you."
  93. [19:19] Daemia says this with heavy sarcasm.
  94. (Daemia Hexis)
  95. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  96.
  97. [19:20] Daemia Hexis says, "Give me your head for a moment."
  98. [19:20] Daemia Hexis says, "If you still trust me of course."
  99. [19:20] Lavinia Walters asks, "... My head?"
  100. [19:20] Daemia Hexis says, "Yes."
  101. [19:20] Lavinia Walters asks, "As in, like with the dreams?"
  102. [19:20] Daemia Hexis says, "Yes."
  103. [19:21] A sense of dread took over. The same dread that ate her each time one tried to touch her. Daemia could perhaps recognize this, though this was easily circumvented when Lavinia was sleeping.
  104.
  105. Emotional turmoil was strong in this one, however. Strong enough to motivate this effort. Slowly, she walked over to the gremlin, gaze avoidant, as she'd lower herself in a sitting position, head craned ever so slightly forward.
  106.
  107. ". . . You intend to look in there?"
  108. (Lavinia Walters)
  109. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  110.
  111. [19:30] Daemia spins on the spot, eyes focused upon Lavinia with a smirk. The gremlin chose her words carefully; to make Lavinia feel genuinely guilty, to make them want to make it back up to her. Manipulative but not in a malicious sense, no, Daemia did have a soft spot for Humanity.
  112.
  113. She pitied it. Unlike her Mother who sought to make it just as monstrous as Demonkind, but just as strong. Daemia? Daemia wanted to figure out a way to ascend past the limitations of what it was to be Demon and Humanity? Humanity seemed to have a niche for surpassing expectations and limitations.
  114.
  115. Thus it was only right to be drawn to it, for curiosity's sake.
  116.
  117. "No.", she says, with a nod of her head.
  118.
  119. "I intend to do something else, I shall not tell you. But if you do trust me, you won't rear your head away.", the gremlin states; her silvery eyes flashing a reddish hue for just a moment. Soon, she'd ascend, if she played her cards right -- ascend past her current stage at least.
  120.
  121. Without verbal warning, Daemia's fingers collapse upon Lavinia's cranium, fingertips pressing down lightly as she pulled Lavinia closer, just slightly. From there, a thick and potent aura of occult exudes from the demon, only to advance upon the Human.
  122.
  123. That sense of dread only got worse.
  124.
  125. "Stay still, Human."
  126. (Daemia Hexis)
  127. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  128.
  129. [19:42] Her breathing was uneven. She was already quite rattled by Daemia's previous words and fell easily to her clutches, but now this was a different ball game. The touch hadn't even occurred and Lavinia was losing her mind over it. Sweats leaked from her hairline and her heart beats could even be heard by the Gremlin.
  130.
  131. "Something else . . ."
  132.
  133. She was cold as she mimicked those specific words. Very cold. As if she had a fever. The stress was making her sick. She hadn't ever felt this since she had reached the power to wield the dark. The power this demon had on her was something magic couldn't easily compete with. Not even those hexing rituals.
  134.
  135. And then, the touch. Lavinia didn't move as instructed. It's as if her heart had stopped. Her scales stiffened and her horns kept pointed right at the demon. The mighty dragon was but a mere cub that had just hatched.
  136.
  137. Lavinia could barely see what was coming afterward. The panicshe felt was blurring her vision. Even some tears started to well up in her eye sockets! She stood still. She couldn't move. She was trapped.
  138. (Lavinia Walters)
  139. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  140.
  141. [19:49] Daemia continued to pour out the dark energy attributed to the occult, overwhelming Lavinia's senses and instilling fear and other negative emotions into the poor girl; fear, doubt, uncertainty, sadness and perhaps even anger.
  142.
  143. As Daemia's own aura lurches over, it surrounds the Drakanite. Like a greasy, viscous smog, it tries to find it's way into her. Poking into pores, brushing through the cracks in those scales, leaking through one's lips and up the nostrils.
  144.
  145. If Lavinia wasn't an Occultist? This might have killed her.
  146.
  147. "Mmm...", yet that draining sensation; the destructive properties of the Occult had yet to be felt. If anything, Lavinia was being treated more like a balloon and Daemia? Daemia was filling that unfortunate soul with her own darkened mana, in order to taint that which she claimed ownership of.
  148.
  149. "Scared. Aren't you? You should be."
  150.
  151. Fear, Daemia was forced to push it into Lavinia; even if she was one of the less powerful Demons of the tower and of her ilk. She was likely still leagues above this Drakanite and more importantly, wasn't afraid to butt heads if the need arose.
  152.
  153. The smog doesn't invade Lavinia further however, almost as if Daemia was searching for a reaction, or a hint, or something. Other than the palpable fear; an emotion she enjoyed to ambiently feed upon as she does so, right now.
  154. (Daemia Hexis)
  155. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  156.
  157. [20:02] Fear had been dominant in her being when Daemia put Lavinia on the spot, and now this was overkill. Between utilizing her fear of contact and invading her with pure occultic influence, she was prone to get some sort of heart attack.
  158.
  159. Her scales blackened, only to disintegrate into dust and reform by rapidly draining her mana. It also came with a certain degree of pain. But, it also seemed these scales were prone to harmonizing themselves with the mana, adopting more and more of a darker tint before being vaporized.
  160.
  161. "What are you . . . Stop. Just stop!"
  162.
  163. She stayed frozen, her body rejecting the mana and her dragon-form hardly keeping up with the intrusive and incompatible magic. Too afraid to move, afraid of what Daemia would do if this 'trust' was breached. All she could do was plea.
  164.
  165. Wings extended outward, attempting to ward off the black miasma consuming her being. They were also undergoing the same, painful rejection of the dark as the rest of her scaly body.
  166.
  167. What would break this cycle of ceaseless submission would be her own darkness reacting to Daemia's. The dark she had allowed to consume her being, and in which she entrusted the removal of her fears. Clearly, it had failed at that simple mission. But it did not fail at feeding her anger. The excruciating pain and mental torment just made her snap.
  168.
  169. Claws rose in an attempt to grasp Daemia's wrist. They were also coated with a distinct, occultic aura. She wanted to crush that wrist. To remove that hand off her head, even if it meant twisting Daemia's wrist until arm and hand parted. Of course, she wouldn't actually be this brutal, but if she had succeeded in her catch, the grasp would be /tight/.
  170. (Lavinia Walters)
  171. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  172.
  173. [20:07] The gremlin wished to force Lavinia closer to what a Demon is, a being infused with the Occult; whilst they wouldn't be natural masters of the 'element', they'd at least be more able to exert their control over it should they simply allow this process to happen.
  174.
  175. Daemia saw it, the blackening of those scales. The constant disintegration then reforming of those features; it was working much to the demon's delight.
  176.
  177. "No. You belong to me, Human. I'm simply showing you, your place.", as soon as her wrist was grasped, the attempt to crush it and wrench it away was destined to fail; using the occult to enhance that strength of hers, only egged Daemia's own aura to double up.
  178.
  179. The smog went in deeper, bleaching out to fulfil every nook and cranny of Lavinia's being; without killing her of course, as that was not the objective.
  180.
  181. "Just a little longer and it'll be over.", perhaps Daemia sought to drive Lavinia insane, or mayhaps she sought to push them to the next stage. To give them a jump that others would not. After all, those wings? The tail? Those draconic features? Daemia considered those more monstrous than what you'd find on a Beastkin or your average Human.
  182.
  183. "Just a few more seconds... Lavinia."
  184. (Daemia Hexis)
  185. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  186.
  187. [20:17] She couldn't hear Daemia. There was only darkness. A darkness she was unfamiliar with. Fear drove to desperation and desperation turned Lavinia into irrationality. Never would she have assaulted Daemia without being submitted to such torment.
  188.
  189. "I. Am."
  190.
  191. A growl from within the dark cloud, anger burning from the tone that echoed out of this monstrosity in the make.
  192.
  193. "A. DRAGON."
  194.
  195. The scales had reached the pinnacle of harmony between the fiery blessing of Ryujin and the pure, destructive force that was the occult. Her horns cracked and exploded into dust, leaving only rotting stumps on Lavinia's head. Her tail suffered the same fate as most of her scales, reverting to an unnaturally dark colour, gorged with mana that should not be there.
  196.
  197. In unconscious defiance, she'd reach to grasp Daemia with the second clawed hand, trying to dig the claws into the demon's arm. Lavinia's hurting body wanted to hurt the demon just as much, despite the dragon's total rejection of the idea.
  198.
  199. "No more! NO MORE!"
  200.
  201. She screamed.
  202. (Lavinia Walters)
  203. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  204.
  205. [20:24] If Lavinia was to declare themselves as a Dragon, Daemia would allow it. After all, it was just a title, perhaps a claim to being something more than Human; Daemia approved, much like her Mother, she wanted to ascend Humanity. Whereas Veles did it for conflict and power, Daemia did it out of curiosity and pity.
  206.
  207. Daemia pitied Lavinia; she pitied them because they weren't a Demon, they weren't her equal in truth.
  208.
  209. But this? As dark purple ichor squirts out from the dug in claws that Lavinia used to hurt Daemia with! This was a scene that truly touched the demon's heart strings, "Yes! That's it.", so much so, she overlooked the act of defiance, the smog vanishing; the remainder of such simply trying to dissolve itself into Lavinia's blackened draconic form.
  210.
  211. "Much more suitable for being my Dragon.", Daemia says, perhaps a bit selfishly and possessively; whereas Lavinia sought to be her equal, Daemia wanted something or someone to own, much like how Veles created her? Perhaps Lavinia could be her own creation in time, technically they were, but in reality they were not.
  212.
  213. "It feels good doesn't it? That gnawing feeling? That anger? Don't you see, Seneval's words were false. You don't need a mentor, Lavinia, you need me."
  214.
  215. Daemia's hands retract themselves from the Drakanite's head, the wound that was left there, beginning to knit and mend itself slowly.
  216.
  217. "Shame, I had to use such methods, but you were deserving of this punishment, Lavinia."
  218. (Daemia Hexis)
  219. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  220.
  221. [20:24] Daemia Hexis says, "But it got me the results I wished to see."
  222. [20:24] Daemia Hexis says, "Results you'll appreciate much later."
  223. [20:33] As the storm of darkness started to subside, so did everything that devoured Lavinia from the inside. Her senses returning and realization of what she had done. Hands were quick to let go of Daemia, out of both revulsion and fear of hurting her 'friend'.
  224.
  225. "I need . . . You."
  226.
  227. Once again, mimicking the little demon's words. She still hadn't fully recovered from the ordeal. But the stress of her act of defiance was there. A fixation was made on her bloodied hands, well, in this case it wasn't too sure if it was blood, and disgust ruled her expression.
  228.
  229. A swift flare of her occultic prowess would not only disintegrate the blood but also all the scales and overgrown claws of her hands. Sterilized.
  230.
  231. "I only need you . . . Nobody else. Only me 'n' you. M'hm."
  232.
  233. No eye contact, still fixed on the hands. They were not clean enough from someone's blood. Someone's fluids. Over and over, she'd ignite her hands with the black flame, until her irrationality was pleased. An odd behaviour, given how carelessly she got herself muddied before.
  234.
  235. "I-I won't betray you, ever! Ever . . ."
  236.
  237. The pain on her head was nothing. So much more ran in her head at this moment. Her world had been shaken again. This time, for what was possibly the worst.
  238. (Lavinia Walters)
  239. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  240.
  241. [20:44] "Yes, that's right. You need me. After all, Lavinia, I wouldn't have gotten you so twisted and upset about me with my accusing words if I didn't care about you."
  242.
  243. The demon sought to put the final nail in the coffin; seeing how Lavinia subsided in their defiance, only to be quick to repeating those words she herself had spoken? Why not manipulate the Human further, to make them hers and hers alone; it was for their wellbeing of course.
  244.
  245. "You are free to do as you like, but you need to remember who supports you. Who cares for you. Who wants you to need them.", a hand dips down low, finger hooking underneath Lavinia's lowered chin! Only to slowly push it up, so she might look the little Occultist in the eyes.
  246.
  247. "I also think you've given me a wonderful opportunity, Lavi-Lavi. See. By being so gullible, and so eager to talk to Senevaland Maeve and hear their words? I think you should continue your little play, or rather not play but get what you can from them."
  248.
  249. Daemia smiles for the time being, focused entirely upon the Drakanite.
  250.
  251. "I don't blame you for trying to grow yourself by reaching out, but do not allow people to instil doubt in you about others so easily. Or rather about me in this case. Sure, pretend you accept their words if they try to cast doubt on you. Pretend. Play your role as one so unassuming."
  252.
  253. After all, why was Daemia to care what Lavinia does outside this tower? Provided she wasn't going against it, it's people or herself... There was really no problem in her mind, especially now with the words she heard Lavinia say at the very end.
  254.
  255. "Good. Now, do you accept to becoming my property, Lavinia Walters? My Apostate in the years to come? None need know right now, except us unless the situation arises in which such information need become public."
  256.
  257. However, Lavinia's words weren't enough just yet... Daemia needed to hear them fully prostrate themselves, both in mind and body. So far she only had one, she needed the other.
  258.
  259. (Daemia Hexis)
  260. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  261.
  262. [20:53] So many words, so many ideas. All so foul, all so comforting. Lavinia wasn't stupid, nor wasn't she particularly smart. But she could think for herself. And, even when knowing just how far this Gremlin was going to manipulate her, because at this point, it seemed Daemia did not even care for subtleties. She knew it didn't matter. Lavinia just accepted it.
  263.
  264. She felt safe, because it was her friend. And her friend wanted what was best. A shivering, wasted Lavinia had her pupils roll up as she'd start to tip over and fall.
  265.
  266. "I will . . . I-"
  267.
  268. Consent couldn't be given, but it didn't seem like Daemia would have trouble prodding it out of her at this point. A clear success for the demon, and a clear regression for the drakanite. Or maybe it was an inevitable, pupal stage for this dark dragon. A helpless, little shell glued to a robust wall- Daemia.
  269.
  270. Lavinia would hit the ground, knocked out. It was time to sleep, thoughshe wouldn't dream tonight.
  271. (Lavinia Walters)
  272. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  273.
  274. [20:55] Daemia smirks at that, but before they hit the ground? They'd be quickly caught and carried over to the bed, after all, it was the least she could do for Lavinia.
  275.
  276. "Very well, Lavinia. I'll just ask again later. Sweet dreams."
  277.
