  1. jajki: Jamie’s mother, Lorraine hops out of the vehicle after turning it off and makes her way up the sidewalk towards the restaurant, expecting Jamie and Ozzie to follow behind her as she keeps talking. “..And then when he was in middle school he thought it would be smart to drive a dirt bike up a ditch!” // Jamie sighs as he follows behind his mother at a slightly lagging pace. “Ugh, do you have to tell /all/ of the embarrassing stories?” He rubs at the back of his head before looking over to Ozzie and giving a small shake of his head along with an annoyed expression.
  2. Tsaaq: "Ahahahaah!" Ozzie laughed loudly. "That's so funny. You're such a funny woman ma'm." He said, keeping up effortlessly as they headed towards the bistro. "I hear this food is really good. I hope I pick the right thing!" Ozzie said as he looked over at Jamie, flashing him a smile.
  3. jajki: Lorraine rolls her eyes as they come to the door and moves to hold it open for both males. “Oh stop it, Ozzie. Call me Lorraine!” She smiles widely at him as she ushers both of them inside. // Jamie snorts before rolling his eyes. “It’s not that funny. I still have a scar from it. So it’s more traumatic than funny.” Stepping in through the door he glances around the interior before stepping aside. “I don’t even have an idea of what I want yet. Something meaty…"
  4. Tsaaq: He nodded at Lorraine. "Yes ma'm." He said unknowingly. Ozzie chuckled like he was twelve at the mention of meat. "Ha!" He nudged Jamie then walked through the door. "Thank you!" Ozzie cheered then waited on Lorraine.
  5. jajki: With the guys through the door Lorraine steps through and walks up to the host, smiling professionally. “Three, please. In a booth if you have on available.” With that taken care of she turns back to face Ozzie and Jamie, still smiling. “Lorraine, please. The only one who I wish would call me ma’m is this one.” She gestures to Jamie with her thumb. // Jamie grins at Ozzie at the nudge. “Not like that!” He mouths while his mother’s back is turned. As soon as she returns and makes the ma’m comment he chuckles half-heartedly and rolls his eyes. “Oh come on mom. Don’t pretend to be all strict."
  6. Tsaaq: "I understand my momma is like that sort of too." Ozzie said with a wave of his hand. "Thank you so much for thanking me out to eat with you Miss Lorraine." He said, fiddling with his collared shirt. He honestly didn't feel comfortable just calling this woman by her first name,
  7. jajki: Lorraine chuckles and clasps her hands against her lap as she nods a few times. “It’s not a problem at all. In fact, it’s to thank /you/.” Her expression sobers and she looks to Jamie for a long few moments before looking to Ozzie and smiling gratefully. “Truly. Jamie’s father and I are so grateful that he had someone here for him while we weren’t able to make it out.” // Jamie smiles at the mention of Ozzie’s mother and nods. He opens his mouth to add to the conversation but falls silent as his mother continues with a different subject. His smile falls and he presses his lips together as he looks to away.
  8. Tsaaq: Ozzie nodded his head slowly, glancing around awkwardly. "Well..." He whispered. "I'd always be here for him ma'm." Ozzie told her with a bit of a bow. "And it's really effortless to be honest." He shrugged sending her a smile before looking over to Jamie and patted his shoulder.
  9. jajki: Lorraine smiles more naturally and watches the display with interest before the host comes to alert them that they’re table’s ready. She turns away to follow the man through the restaurant and to their booth where she slides into one of the sides. // Jamie gives a nod while he still looks away before turning his head to smile to Ozzie. “Thanks. For real. And for coming out to tonight.” He watches his mother walk away before quickly continuing. “This has been really hard on her so you’ve really been helping like…a ton.” He gives Ozzie a quick yet affectionate rub on the arm before moving to follow his mother and slide into the opposite side of the booth.
  10. Tsaaq: He followed the two of them and sloppily slid into the booth. "Of course I'd come out tonight!" Ozzie said with a laugh. "And I want to help. I want you to be happy. I want everybody to be happy y'know?" He said with a shrug as he started to play with his napkin.
  11. jajki: Lorraine smiles and tips her head slightly to the side as she watches Ozzie. “That’s a very noble wish. If only more shared it! The world would be a better place I believe.” She chuckles lightly and picks her menu up off the table, giving it a quick look-over. “Do you boys want an appetizer or anything?” // Jamie unfolds his napkin and arranges the silverware before draping the cloth over his lap. “Yeah.” He says quietly before picking up his own menu and looking it over. “Uh…maybe like some spinach and artichoke dip? What do you want, Ozzie?"
  12. Tsaaq: "Uhhhhhhhhhh." He dragged out while look at the menu before pouting. "I don't know! Can you pick for me?" He looked over to Jamie with a sad face because Ozzie was horrible at making decisions.
  13. jajki: Lorraine taps at her chin, still looking at the menu. “Spinach artichoke dip sounds great to start off with if you’re both fine with it.” The waiter approaches and she smiles up to him. “I’ll have a water to drink and I believe we’ll start with the spinach artichoke dip. Thank you!” // Jamie gives a small grin before flipping his menu to the next page. “Whaddabout salads?” He asks as he taps at the salad section with his forefinger. When the waiter arrives he waits for his mother to order before adding in, “Coke for me, please. Thanks."
  14. Tsaaq: Ozzie rubbed his beard a moment. "Okay I want water, and I do want a salad." He nodded while staring at the menu. "I want a big salad." Ozzie muttered to Jamie. "Yes Miss Lorraine, that's good! I wish I was good at picking things!" He chuckled.
  15. jajki: The waiter walks away to get the waters and the appetizer ready. Lorraine smiles and rests her arms on the table. “Good! And this is my treat so don’t worry about the price of anything!” // Jamie shoots a quick smile to his mother before looking back to the menu and tapping at one salad in particular. “This one has apples.” He says quietly.
  16. Tsaaq: "Yay!" Ozzie cheered and clapped his hands softly. "Oh Miss Lorraine I can't spend all your money, stop." He said to the older woman then stared at the menu. "I definitely want this salad. It looks like it has everything."
  17. jajki: Lorraine leans forward over the table as the waters arrive and gives Ozzie a serious expression. “It’s really fine. It’s not that much money. And I need to thank you. What you’ve done for Jamie is so selfless and really buying you dinner isn’t enough to thank you.” // Jamie nods to Ozzie then smiles at the waiter. He quickly takes a drink of his water as his mother gets back into the thanking routine, using it as a way to not participate in the conversation because shit she kept bringing it up. Keeping the salad page open he carefully flips another page up to look at the pastas and stuff.
  18. Tsaaq: "I also take him to the gym with me!" Ozzie cheered as he put his menu down and leaned his elbows on the table. "Wow Miss Lorraine you say so many nice things about me. Stop." He said with with a laugh. "No pastas! Get something lean, like fish or chicken." Ozzie advised even though he should shut up, he couldn't even pick shit for himself.
  19. jajki: Lorraine chuckles and leans back, now resting her hands in her lap. “Well I’m glad to hear that. Physical activity is always nice for physical and mental health.” She trails off and thinks for a moment before continuing. “I say nice things about nice people. You are a very nice young man, Ozzie. Oh! And I meant to ask earlier, how is little Lolo?” // Jamie looks up from his menu and gives Ozzie a small frown. “But pasta is tasty. And can come with something lean….like fish or chicken.” His frown turns into a small smile as he points to one of the pastas on the page. “Mmmm garlic. To make my breath smell great."
  20. Tsaaq: He smiled at Lorraine again. "Oh you are just too sweet Miss Lorraine." He sighed dreamily. Ozzie gasped loudly. "Lolo is doing great! He's adjusting well to dorm life. He's a little sweetie pie." Ozzie rambled on with a grin. "Yeah but pasta is carbs, unless you plan on bulking up don't have too many carbs!" He waved his index finger at Jamie.
  21. jajki: Lorraine laughs and takes a drink of her water as the appetizer finally arrives and is set in the middle of the table. She reaches forward to dip a slice of pita bread into the dip as she speaks. “I’m so glad to hear that! It was an absolute joy to watch him over Spring Break. Five dogs in the house was just so much energy. My husband and I loved it.” // Jamie’s arm darts out once the appetizer arrives and he quickly loads a piece of the pita bread up with dip and downs it like a pro. He half-whines before swallowing and looking back towards the menu. He flips to the next page with the more lean options and speaks as he looks through the options. “Lolo’s a sweetheart. I feel bad whenever Chickie bullies him, though."
  22. Tsaaq: "Actually now that I think about it... I'll have a glass of wine." He told the waiter. "It is Thursday after all-" Ozzie looked at his phone, texting cause he didn't know things about fancy resturants. "Chickie just needs to learn how to play nice! I'm glad you guys love Lolo as much as I do. He's amazing, he has that affect on people."
  23. jajki: Lorraine smiles and waves her hand at Ozzie. “By all means! Have whatever you like!” She turns slightly to smile up at the waiter as she orders. “I think I’ll do a plain caesar salad. Croutons on the side. Thank you!” // Jamie scratches at his beard and chuckles quietly. “Chickie will always be a bully I think. At least she’s cute.” Trailing off from that line of thought he looks up to the waiter and waits his turn to order. “I’ll uh…have the salmon with broccoli and red potatoes for the sides. Thanks."
  24. Tsaaq: He nodded and patted Jamie's shoulder. "See that's a good choice. I'm having the biiiiigggg salad! With everything." Ozzie said with a giggle. "A glass of white wine. And that's it for now!" He told the waiter. " He looked down periodically at his phone. "I'm gonna train Chickie into being nice. Don't worry." He chuckled.
  25. jajki: Lorraine rests her hands back in her lap and laughs at Ozzie’s comment. “Oh good luck with that! When Jamie first got her he was actually staying with us for a period of time and she just bullied our old dog so much! She was a sweet heart, but she just had to have all the attention.” // Jamie grins over to Ozzie and raises his eyebrow. “Will you be able to eat it all?” He falls silent as his mother talks about Chickie and nods along with her until she finishes. “Yeah…that’s true. Poor Jack couldn’t catch a break."
  26. Tsaaq: "Awww poor Jack Jack." Ozzie chuckled. "I will be able to eat it all and if not I'll keep it in my fridge. I have a fridge!" He looked over to Lorraine with a grin. "I love animals so much." Ozzie sighed as she sat back.
  27. jajki: Lorraine beams and claps her hands together. “Wonderful! I love animals too. I grew up on a small farm in Quebec so I’ve all sorts of experience with critters.” She chuckles and scoots to the side in her seat. “Excuse me, I need to run to the restroom.” With that she slides out of the booth and moves towards the back of the restaurant. // Jamie leans forward and rests one arm on top of the table as he loads another piece of bread with dip. “Alright. Stay safe.” He calls after his mother before shoving the morsel into his mouth. After a moment he finishes the bite and leans back, nodding to Ozzie. “She really likes you."
  28. Tsaaq: Ozzie went to grab a piece of bread, ripping it in half and eating a little bit of it. "Hurry back Miss Lorraine!" He said with his mouth full then glanced at Jamie. "She does!?" He said with surprise and a smile.
  29. jajki: Jamie raises his brow at Ozzie and watches as the waiter sets their food out in front of them. Once the man is gone he leans forward and starts in on the broccoli. “Yeah! Probably ‘cause I do but also ‘cause you’re nice and stuff.” He leans to the side and nudges the other male with his shoulder.
  30. Tsaaq: He laughed and nudged Jamie in return before digging into his salad. "I'm okay." Ozzie shrugged and smiled at the other male. "I am pretty nice. But you're nice too. And so is she." He spoke with his mouth full again.
  31. jajki: Jamie continues to work on his broccoli, smiling a bit as he does. “Well thanks.” He says once his mouth isn’t full. He looks up to see his mother returning from the bathroom and turns his head quickly to Ozzie to ask before she returns, “Is tonight a sleepover night?” // Lorraine returns from the restroom and slides into her booth with a big grin. “Oh yay the food! You boys enjoy, alright? And don’t hesitate if you want dessert or anything. My treat!"
  32. Tsaaq: "Should I?" Ozzie asked him in a whisper before looking at Lorraine. "Thank you Miss Lorraine! You're an amazing woman." He said, stabbing his fork into his salad. "I can stay at your place but uh, where is your mom staying?" Ozzie asked.
  33. jajki: Jamie takes a bite of salmon then nods to his mother at her return. “Thanks mom.” He says with his mouth full. After finishing the bite he looks over to Ozzie and nods. “Yeah. She’s got a hotel.” // Lorraine nods, speaking before digging into her salad because she has MANNERS. “The hotel isn’t far from here, actually. I’ll only be here until Sunday so I didn’t want to put Jamie on the couch for that long."
  34. Tsaaq: He nodded his head again "Then I'll stay with you tonight." Ozzie answered with a smile. "Jaime's bed is big though." He said befor his eyes widened. "I mean, from what I've seen once and a while." He shrugged awkwardly.
  35. jajki: Jamie chokes on a bite of salmon and focuses his attention on his plate of food, muttering about the quality of the broccoli or something. // Lorraine stares for a few moments before laughing loudly. The laughter lasts for a few moments. She trails off and shakes her head as she leans back into the booth. “Oh, Jamie’s out to me and he can make his own decisions so there’s no need to be embarrassed."
  36. Tsaaq: "Out?" Ozzie said with confusion, faking his ass off. "Oh I don't know about all that. I hang out with my friend." He shrugged and laughed anxiously.
  37. jajki: Jamie glances over to Ozzie and opens his mouth to say something but instead closes it and looks down to his plate and focuses his attention on the potatoes. // Lorraine appears confused for a few moments before nodding and giving a small chuckle. “Oh, my mistake!” She says before looking down to her salad and stabbing at it a few times before actually eating. She glances up at Jamie a few times but is unable to meet his gaze so eventually she just focuses on the food too.
  38. Tsaaq: Ozzie looked between the two of them before frowning. "Um..." He trailed off awkwardly. "So this food is pretty good?" He said uneasily then looked over at Jamie to gauge his expression.
  39. jajki: “Mhmm!” Jamie says over a mouthful of a little bit of everything. He shoots a tight smile over Ozzie’s way briefly before turning his gaze back down to the almost-empty plate before him. // Lorraine sets her fork down after a few more bites and leans back with a smile on her face. “Oh to die for! I’m so glad you suggested this place, Ozzie. Really, I’ll have to bring my husband up here sometime."
