2016 in Review

Hope everyone is having a good holiday! I'm up at work in the middle of the Arctic Circle while Ashley and the dogs are at home, so it could be going better but just thankful to be in the position we are and missing one holiday isn't the end of the world. If you are fortunate enough to have those that you love around you don't take it for granted!

Anyway, 2016 was rad! Made a lot of great new friends and had a lot of fun doing a bunch of cool shit. Just wanted to say thanks to a few people that I'm glad to have in my life thanks to speedrunning and talk about 2017 plans!

AGDQ: I met so many fucking people and most were as advertised. The SMW crew was amazing to finally hang out with and the 4x4 96 exit race was ace. RK, Countdown, Patty, BB, Dxtr, Spiriax, Riche, JD, PJ, Caleb, Zoast (although very briefly), Auth, Sky, GDF, Paco, Truman, BlackFUCKINGtastic, Cab, BigJon, Lightning, Vo0id, Eazinn, SeanCass, Feasel, BJW, Tiki, Carter, TMR, JD, and I'm sure I'm missing people. Was amazing to hang out and I really hope we get the chance again soon.

DeuceCon: Holy shit what a time DeuceCon was. The turnout was insane and the event was A1. Great runs, great people and really good hangs all weekend. I wrote a pastebin about this already but I'm truly grateful that I had the opportunity to meet so many people and host an event that the community could enjoy. As of now I don't have plans to continue hosting the event, so a giant thank you to all the support I received over the last three years - I'm extremely humbled that people gave me a chance to host them to share our hobby together.

Now onto individual people, this doesn't cover every person that made a positive impact on my life this year but just a few standouts:

duckfist: Not a whole lot to say, just great to have made a friend out of the community by chance. Always a great time when we'd spend the weekends playing games and partying. Grats on the new gig, looking forward to warm days out in Cali!

Edenal: I still can't believe I got the opportunity to make a friend from a foreign country thanks to glorious RGB. We went from our first interaction in November of 2015 to him spending the week at my home in October, and I can't wait until we get the opportunity to chill again. Dem titties!

Neerrm: This boner. It's rad he lives so close to me and we get the chance to hang out as frequently as we do - who else would go to Monday Night Raw with me earlier this month? If anyone keeps me in check it's this dude, looking forward to golf and FF4 (lol) in the future

Danshow1: IT FINALLY FUCKING HAPPENED. After almost 4 years of damn near daily communication I finally got to hang with Dan. He didn't disappoint. We deff went for a rip and it was everything I'd hoped it would be. Oh, fuck yeah bud

R3DninjaJOSH: Dude. Way to much support for my shitty game addiction. Hooked up a working Saturn, AND Lethal Enforcers this year :O. Way to genuine of a dude. We got to hang out twice this year (AGDQ and DeuceCon) and I'm looking forward to the next time we get to party. Sega shitters for life

Jordan: You sexy bastard. I know hangs are imminent, and It's rad that you sang to me in my lap. <3

bich: FINALLY. I met someone who has a smaller dick than I do. Dude makes me laugh everyday, looking forward to fuck boy hangs

Feral: This dude. What a tight ass. What swagger. What a god.

Square_Wave: Glad he finished school. Glad we can play the shittiest co-op games and laugh about it.

theorysc2: Super stoked we got to hang out finally. Hopefully we can again, also introduced me to frozentrually !

Truman: I still can't believe it was real. Fucking Yoshi.

Keaur: Somehow had missed him prior to submitting to DeuceCon, what a bummer cause he's a super awesome dude! Hopefully in the future we'll catch some concerts and stuff together.

Opus: Dude. Long hair boiz. So much good music. Can't wait until we bring doom upon the world

Chelney: Can't even say much dude, too smooth. So hype we got to hang when we did.

Mouse: What a guy. Ashley always has some homies at DeuceCon. This year it was mouse. Too cool for school.

Obviously there was also a ton of people who support my stream that can't go without notice. Jink, my boy Neros, raz, 88, thermal, and a shit ton more - thanks for always making things entertaining.

2017 is going to be rad af. Shit tons of good concerts coming up, fuck boys meetup, trips to Cali, tattoos, streams - it's all gonna keep going down. Here's some things I have planned:

Musashi: This is #1 priority until the game is fucking BURIED. My channel will be based around this almost exclusively.

Sega: I'm going to be diving deep into my catalog of Dreamcast / Saturn / CD games as much as possible. These are the systems I'm collecting for and I'll be knocking down the classics as much as possible

Revisits: Shit RPG runs (all I've done basically,) dkc2, SMW. All at some point

Races: Ain't no fun if the homies can't have none. x3 blind on January 7th, and more torture every time I'm home. pumped!

Baking: Ashley is moving forward on baking streams whenever I'm home as well! Next one is January 8th, I'm stoked to share her skills :D

I'll be throwing donations back on stream, working towards getting a laptop. Why you ask? Once I get a laptop I'll have the ability to stream FROM WORK. This means I wouldn't have a 2 week break period any longer and I can do dirty practice and shorter runs even while I"m in Alaska. Would be pretty cool.
