47. The continuation of Sword Art Online. This continuation focuses on the Gun Gale Online arc, otherwise known as GGO. Kirito receives a call from a government worker who wants Kirito to investigate a player named Death Gun. This player appears to have the ability to kill players in real life, by simply shooting them in game.
 48. In the year 2022, thousands of people get trapped in a new virtual MMORPG and the lone wolf player, Kirito, works to escape.
 49. This show is... Terrible. The action is poor, the characters are unoriginal and uninteresting, the plot is god awful, and nothing lands save for a few things, which it abandons pretty soon. The one thing that stays consistently good is the direction. It somehow makes you feel emotions that the piss poor writing doesn't earn with just how well directed it is. But, still not worth it.
 50. To simplify this review I will list the good, and then the bad.

The Good: It's not an original idea; however, it is interesting.

Some scenes have really nice animation and art.

The English dub is actually bearable.

The Bad: Pacing is way too rushed. In just 15 episodes, they go through 75 floors, most of which were never in the show.

They try to make you feel sad for Sachi when she dies, but she only got less than an episode of development.

The characters are bland. They're very stereotypical characters who don't develop throughout the show.

The romance was terrible. Kirito and Asuna find it awkward to hold hands, yet they've had intercourse, and the relationship was very rushed. The harem also was pointless as well as rushed. There was also random incest. That is never a good idea.

Most of the show is made of poor art and animation. Some scenes literally just copy and paste characters and leave them still making them seem stiff.

One of the biggest issues was a plot hole. How did Kirito survive being killed? Of course, it could represent humanity's strength against machines; however, how did Asuna survive as well? She clearly wasn't strong enough as she didn't attempt to revive herself.

Okay, this actually may be the worst. The main villain, Kayaba Akihiko, reason for causing this entire series was... Well, that's the issue. He literally just says that he couldn't remember why he trapped all of the players in a game. I mean, seriously, that may be one of the dumbest things a fictional character has ever said on television. It just seems as if the creator couldn't even generate the smallest bit of personality for a character that created the world that is Sword Art Online.

So, after SAO, we get Alfheim. Which is very disappointing, even to some of the fans that watched the first half. In Alfheim, they no longer have a risk of death. If they die in the game, they respawn. It really does feel less suspenseful because now there is nothing to worry about.

Even with Asuna held hostage, her life isn't being threatened. She just had to worry about one of the most boring villains that happens to be an immense pervert making things even more awkward than the incest. Seriously, nearing the end the villain starts licking her, and she's naked. You know, for kids! I thought this was rated PG. Oh, it is. I'm confused.

In the end though, it is a very, very overrated show, but because of it's popularity there must be something enjoyable about it, so you should definitely watch it for yourself and judge it for yourself.
