- After leaving their expertly calculated tips, the group marveled at the foyer of the mansion. The walls were adorned with dark spruce planking and accented by a fancy forest green wallpaper with floral etchings. The ornate chandelier looked as though it contained thousands of glistening candles. The white marble floor was pristine, but there was something off...
- Rocky raised her voice slightly for the first time: "omg yall wheres the doors and windows?? we should lowkey look for where the worker guy went i think...i mean...if everyone else is okay with that :(("
- "I agree, the sis has tea," Hag replied.
- "Why don't we break up into two separate groups and look around to try to Look in People's Windows?" Kellan chimed, stretching the bit to tiresome lengths.
- "That sounds like a surprisingly sensible idea. I will go with...Hag, I guess," Guy replied, surprised that he was not leading the charge for once.
- Rocky and Kellan proceeded to the stairs leading to the mezzanine, while Guy and Hag stuck to the ground floor. Guy tried to make small talk to make this less awkward.
- "So, how long have you been doing rates?"
- "Honestly gurl...a bitch does not have time to clock in. I have naurt sent in a ballotiana since the 2011 Ul-tea-mate gagatron. Had to defend my girl mizz Femme Fatale!"
- "Wait, so why are you here then?"
- "Is my face card really giving Benedick Cumberbitch as Shercock Heauxlmes realness?"
- The first real clue, Guy thought. Not only was Hag not a regular rater, but his pop culture references were based in the early 2010s. What made him a suspect in TK's murder, then?
- Before he could interrogate further, the other duo returned.
- "guys im sorry but i couldnt make it up the stairs...im too eepy and hungies..." Rocky gasped.
- "She's right, we need food ASAP if we're going to make it Out Of The Woods, per se."
- "Well if you kept looking, we would be one step closer to another room, which could have food," Guy snapped.
- Suddenly, one of the grand walls swung open, and Hawk emerged yet again.
- "Sorry, I should have warned you all. This mansion is...modular, shall we say. The rooms magically rearrange themselves as you desire, which is convenient for...logistical difficulties," Hawk said, breaking the fourth wall. "Who wants to go first?"
- "ME!" screamed Kellan, true to the stylization of the song title.
- Everyone proceeded into the next room, which was decorated similarly to the entrance hall but with a long banquet table in the center. The four took their seats, and Hawk handed them their menus. Based on the general vibe so far, they pictured the mouth watering meats and heartwarming stews that awaited them. However, when they opened the embossed silver clasps of the menus, they were surprised to find a QR code instead, leading to a familiar Google Sheet.
