The Fall of Spirit Science

On September 5th, 2012, Spirit Science began to fall.

Jordan Duchnycz, creator of [url=http://thespiritscience.net/]the Spirit Science webseries[/url], uploaded a video called [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2V-xFzeW13w]The Return of Thoth[/url]. In the video, he claimed that he had found the physical manifestation of Thoth. This character was seen in a blue t-shirt and green toga, wearing a Guy Fawkes mask over his face. He also wore a green rubber band on his left wrist and held a smartphone of unknown brand. When asked to say something that would identify him as Thoth, the character raised his two hands, revealing four rings, on the ring and pinkie fingers of each hand. It was, at the time, unknown how this could possibly substantiate his ludicrous claim.

Many viewers of the video protested against the rediculousness of the situation. Thoth, in human form? The Spirit Science series was based on The Ancient Secrets of the Flower of Life, a book by Bernard "Drunvalo Melchizedek" Perona. Mr. Perona claimed that he had "channeled" Thoth, and that Thoth had permanently ascended to a higher dimension in the 1990s. Thus, the Return of Thoth video was a deliberate discrepancy.

Other sleuths had done some work, and discovered the true identity of the man playing "Thoth", Nathaniel "Elijah Green" Elias Wayne Gromalski. His website, [url=http://www.iprojectelijah.com/]iProject Elijah[/url], revealed some intriguing information about himself. According to the site, he "died" and became Thoth on July 20th, 2009- which, coincidentally, was the same date as an arrest for trespassing in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Five days later, another video was uploaded to the SpiritScience Youtube channel. This one was called [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QylkXkdpWWg]The Word of Thoth[/url]. This video actually featured "Thoth" speaking, teaching on how knowledge leads to darkness and wisdom is the key to salvation. The response to this video was overwhelmingly negative, as not only did he refute skeptics with useless words: "You have a desire to not be fooled. You have a desire to know more. But knowledge will do nothing for your sort. You are the kind that need to act on faith, and those who act blindly on faith do not need knowledge.", but called the viewers his "beautiful children" while simultaneously preaching that "I am not the Messiah, I am not God, I am not all-powerful.".

Furthermore, the end of the video was posted on the iProjectElijah website, confirming this Thoth's identity as Nathaniel Gromalski. This caused minor outrage; Jordan is preaching that a criminal arrested three times (for using narcotics on 4/20, fraudulent credit card usage and grand theft, and trespassing in the aforementioned event) is the incarnation of the god of peace and wisdom. What was going on? Was Jordan duped? Was he joking?

After a day of bickering in the video comments- a period in which Mr. Gromalski attempted and failed to defend himself on the matter- Jordan made the videos private to only users that he gave access. As of yet, he has made no comment on the matter. What are the followers of SpiSci to think? The videos were not deleted, so he hadn't redacted them; instead, he had just hidden them, like the majority of the world was not worthy or "yet ready" for the knowledge- no, wisdom- that it imbued.



On September 13, 2012, BitterCynic, a cynical member of the Spirit Science forums, was banned by two moderators.

BitterCynic was not exactly the favorite of all of the forum members. The main issue arose from the difference of views. The majority of the forum members were extremely gullible, accepting the Human History Movie at first sight (despite its obvious employment of deus ex machina and the enormous amount of proof contradicting it) and going so far as to write threads entitled such nonsense as "Will the Moon Blow Up?" or "I-Dosers / Binaral Beats for Building Muscle!". Naturally, the skeptical, facts-only posts of Bitter and the gullibility of most of the rest of the members came into conflict.

In the thread "Seeing a Silhouette or Outline of a human figure??", BitterCynic sarcastically commented "Black people?" Despite having broken none of the rules, moderators Cruentus, who had been vocably frustrated with BitterCynic's overly critical questions in a few threads, and Aniday, who had been frustrated with a joke of Bitter's in another thread, conjoined through Skype (completely ignoring the several other moderators simultaneously online) and decided to ban BitterCynic from the Spirit Science forums.

Once this was announced, moderators Seraphnb and Nexus declared that they were resigning their jobs on matter of principle. These two decisions were decided separately for individual reasons. Seraphnb

If the rest of you feel you need to make an example out of one troll, ONE troll, who I have spoken to and who has promised to conform more to your fucking ideals, then so be it.  I won't be a party to this while you make an example out of one person who's actual serious view (views, mind you, that were expressed and shot down when he first joined spirit science) and while other passive aggressive zealots push their views, and you do nothing.  You talk of reforming the forums, of being more friendly to the community. You talk of connecting more with the community, but when it comes down to it, some of you just want to push the button.

Cruentus: When did you decide to become so fucking righteous?

Aniday: For shame. You spoke with cynic and used your voice as if you could speak for the rest of the mods.

The rest of you: I'm ashamed of you. You talk big but won't even stand up and change when you know something is wrong. This forum has been dominated by zealots and the Word of Jordan for months and you did nothing. You will continue to do nothing.  I won't be a party to a group of tyrants who just want to push the button. Strip me of my powers.
