  2. LG
  3. Domains: Glory, Good, Law, Nobility, Sun, Community
  4. Subdomains: Cooperation, Honor, Archon, Judgement, Aristocracy, Day
  5. Portfolio: Sun, Order, Leadership
  6. Favored Weapon: Halberd
  7. Appearance: Sol is depicted as a youthful but kingly revenien with shining golden hair and beard, wearing a tabard and cape, both bearing his symbol, over a suit of shining armour.
  8.
  9. The most widely worshipped god of Hollo, especially by reveniens, Sol is a god of order and society. Elder brother to Astrum, Sol represents the fatherly, the structured, and the stable. As such, he finds devotees in the heads of cities and businesses, and his clergy is a single, united organisation.
  10.
  11. The holy text, The Words of the Celestial Brothers, recounts Sol's birth with that of Hollo's sun. He ruled over the first day, on which he arranged the world to his liking, and created the reveniens in his image. Seeing his children grow tired and restless, Sol finally allowed the sun to disperse and the first day to end, creating Astrum to rule over the night.
  12.
  13. With the eventual dawn of the second day, Sol returned and the reveniens were granted their second life. Eventually Sol and Astrum came to agree on a system by which they would share the time, sharing twelve hours each at the equinoxes and working towards solstices on which one of them claims eighteen hours and the other six.
  14.
  15. Lion, The Firestoker
  16. LG
  17. Domains: Fire, Glory, Good, Strength, Protection

  20. Favored Weapon: Bastard sword
  21. Appearance: A majestic figure carrying a flaming sword, with strong feline features crowned by a mane of fire. While her chest and legs are armoured her muscular arms are fully visible.
  22.
  23. As a god of heroes and legends, Lion's faithful are paladins, knights, and clerics. While she finds quiet worship from the meek, she does not preach to a flock, merely defends it when it is needed. Instead her churches teach heroic values, combat skills, and practical advice for adventuring.
  24.
  25. She is revered almost universally by pekin as the source of their strength and courage, and in particularly devoted pekin her gifts are sacred – their manes are brushed and trimmed, their white fur kept pristine where possible.
  26.
  27. Her holy text, A Knight's Code, details proper behaviour and conduct for a travelling adventurer: The innocent should be aided and protected, the wicked redeemed or struck down, and reward found only in doing what is right.
  28.
  29. Nympha, The Lady of Lakes
  30. NG
  31. Domains: Healing, Plant, Protection, Water, Weather
  32. Subdomains: Restoration, Growth, Purity, Flowing, Rivers, Storms
  33. Portfolio: Compassion, Care, Gentleness
  34. Favored Weapon: Whip
  35. Appearance: A lady covered in myriad thin robes and veils in white and blue, followed where she walks by a rolling mist.
  36.
  37. Credited with the origin of Hollo's many springs and underground lakes, Nympha is revered as a goddess of life. Her clergy are taught to be gentle, and preach that same caring ideal to others. Her churches more than any other are regarded as a place of safety and sanctity, providing water, treatment, and beds to those in need.
  38.
  39. So sacred is life to Nympha and her followers that killing anyone but the most irredeemably evil is abhorrent to them. Her clerics train in the use of whips to disarm and disable their enemies without doing lasting damage. There is a more literal-minded sect who are willing to use other weapons, and simply heal their opponents once they've beaten them within an inch of their life.
  40.
  41. Nympha is widely worshipped, though much of her worship comes only when she is needed. She does, however, have a number of followers who worship her devoutly at all times.
  42.
  43. Astrum, The Nightlord, Brother of the Stars
  44. CG
  45. Domains: Chaos, Good, Darkness, Luck, Void, Liberation
  46. Subdomains: Whimsy, Night, Azata, Revolution, Imagination, Stars
  47. Favored Weapon: Starknife
  48. Portfolio: Stars, Freedom, Independence
  49. Appearance: Astrum is shown as a tall young man with long black hair, dotted like the night's sky with sparkling points of light. He likewise wears a black cloak over his rich clothing.
  50.
  51. Younger brother to Sol, though he is acknowledged as his equal his following is much more disparate and slightly smaller. He represents the youthful, the free, and the impulsive. He is largely worshipped by the young and by artists, and his clergy is composed almost entirely of individual pastors leading loose congregations.
  52.
  53. The Words of the Celestial Brothers tells of his genesis at the start of the first night, and the chaotic revelry that came once the reveniens had rested and his faithful emerged in the young and energetic. He led their revels in a night that went for as long as the first day, but eventually Astrum saw how his rule's total chaos was beginning to damage the reveniens – in his recklessness, people were dying. At the pleading of Sol's faithful, he returned the world to his brother with the dawn, and the reveniens gained their second life.
  54.
  55. The Song of the Stars, a later text written by a prophet of Astrum alone, tells a slightly different story, that Astrum came to regret the deaths of his people on his own, and was ready and willing to bring forth the dawn. It furthermore tells that the second life of the reveniens was not brough about by Sol's return, but was instead Astrum's final gift; he returned the dead to life and gave the living a second chance to experiment with. This is the version of events that most current worshippers of Astrum follow.
  56.
  57. With the last of his first, glorious night, he returned the dead to life and conceded the rule once more to his brother.
