- After a long journey, I’ve finally returned to my homeland. Its state is a grim reminder of why I left. The arid lands aren’t suited for growing crops, the heath is unbearable during the endless days, and the beasts loom around our village during the night, eating our cattle, and the unlucky tribesmen.
- There’s only one reason for us to stay here. The stones. The valuable minerals hidden underneath the sands, inside the caves, all the other tribes seek them, we can trade them for food, for cattle, but as the tribe grows, these exchanges aren’t good enough anymore.
- We need to mine more, for longer periods of time. That’s why I left, to search for the Colossi, the gigantic beast who could create servants out of raw materials.
- My Journey was met with failure, but I did uncover something astonishing. A certain type of stone, when the right conditions are met, is capable of capturing the spirits of the beasts. When a spirit is chained to a stone, it produces a ludicrous amount of power.
- I’ve been working on a vessel for this type of power, “Golett” is how I’ll call it. The source of this power and the way to manipulate is something I must keep a secret. The other ones, they may not understand.
- I’ve heard tales of another tribe, one who has discovered a way to enslave the “Beasts” using a strange contraption. I may need to leave on another journey to find such a tribe, but in the meantime, I must work on building more vessels.

- Second Entry
- After many attempts and failures, I’ve finally perfected my creations, even more so than I anticipated.
- The small stone bodies are hardy and resistant, they seem to be subservient by nature, heading my commands without a complaint.
- But there’s something, I fear.
- I just realized it this morning, while fixing one of the bodies of a Golett who got into an accident while mining. Various of his kind gathered around him and offered flowers. Just as the tribesmen do when a loved one is gravely sick or injured.
- These machines I’ve created, powered by spirits, seem to behave more than living creatures than mindless automata, they feel, they care for each other, they want to be treated by kindness, and want kindness as well. They may not be particularly smart, but they can learn by imitation.
- They grow as livings things do. And they, they can change. This was not in my plan, I merely wanted strong servants, instead, I feel like a father to these creations. Could this be divine intervention? A sort of teaching for my arrogance?
- I was planning on departing to search for the tribe that has conquered the beast, instead, they came to me. More specifically him.
- A man who tamed the beasts, not like those disgusting servants from the south who give their lives to the whims of monstrous beasts and speak their twisted tongue, their spirits tainted by the inhuman creatures.
- This man couldn’t understand the beast in such ways, but he walked alongside them, not as equals, the creatures respected him, feared him, revered him, needed him.
- He was carrying six strange devices with him, that let him store and release the beasts as pure energy. Without a need to destroy their body.
- Behind him, his whole tribe followed.
- He had heard of me and wanted to enlist me, and my whole village into his group. He’ll provide protection, food, clothing, in exchange, he wants me to make more of the devices he used to entrap the beasts, more effective, easier to produce, make enough for all the people under his rule. With the help of my Goletts, this may be possible.
- He had two goals, to unify all the tribes under one glorious kingdom. Aztlan.
- And to tame every single kind of beast that roams this world.
- They called him, “The Beast Master”

- Third Entry
- Various moons have passed since I met the BeastMaster. With the aid of my creations the Golett and my own interest in improving the capturing devices, the harvest of materials and their production has become faster than ever. And with that, the number of beasts under our service has become larger as well.
- The abilities of these beasts, their sheer strength, and resilience make them perfect partners for most kinds of work. In the fields, assisting in the hunts, constructing settlements, and above all, for warfare. Their destructive power easily surpasses that of any human weapon. Any group that opposes us is swiftly crushed under our power. And even those who attempt to dethrone the BeastMaster with their own beast are promptly defeated by his tactical mind.
- It’s astounding how eager to cooperate these beasts become. With the proper training, nonetheless. Still, I’ve seen children as young as 10, commanding these monsters. It is almost as if we were made for one another.
- But there’s a thought that worries me. Even with his tactical genius, and his fearsome battling ability, the BeastMaster is not the savior I expected him to be. He’s rash, proud, and at times violent, on more than one occasion he’s ruined the opportunity for tribes to peacefully join us, jumping directly into combat. Subjugating entire tribes motivated by a single, disrespectful comment about him or his people.
- He always aims for the leaders of the groups, but spares their people, even if they rise in arms against him afterward. He has a soft spot for the common folk, maybe because he’s didn’t come from nobility. A regular warrior who raised against his own chief and proclaimed himself as a champion of the people.
- This violent attitude is not a problem as long as we have the upper hand in terms of strengths, but on the depth south, there are tales of colossal monsters that command armies of both men and beasts, if the tales are true, this could mean danger to our group.
- The BeastMaster, is he a savior or just a fool? At least he seems to be aware of his faults. After consulting with him, he has made me his official adviser, he wants me to help him in negotiations and the like. While he entertains his bellicose mind on strengthening our warrior and our beast.
- For a moment I thought he’d realized the real responsibilities of commanding and ruling over people. That was before last night when he entered my room with an announcement and a request.
- He wants to capture a God and train him, so no one would raise against him ever again.
- And he wants me to help.
- He’s definitely a fool.

- 4th entry.
- Tribe after tribe, conquest after conquest. The BeastMaster has successfully managed to unify a great deal of the northern parts of the region under one singular reign. We have established a central city where we oversee every single tribe that has joined our group.
- But as we expand on size and power, so do our problems. Conflicts and skirmishes have become commonplace in the southernmost parts of our empire, we are constantly under attack by groups of men that fight alongside the beasts, they don’t use any form of capture devices, instead, they believe to be equals to the creatures we have already tamed.
- These savages who have forsaken their humanity by serving wretched, gigantic creatures that they call “nature spirits”, believe that what we are doing, capturing and taming the beasts is a grave sin that must be absolved with blood. Such foolish notions.
- And to make matters worse, our leader, The BeastMaster hasn’t let go of his insane dream of capturing and taming a God. He’s spending our resources to find them instead of dealing with these rebellious tribes of heretics attacking our settlements.
- Sending expeditions to find beasts of myths and legends. The Guardians of the Sea, Sky, and land. The Colossi who shaped the world and his servants made of rock, ice, and steel. Such foolishness.
- He believes that if he manages to tame one, no one will dare to oppose him again, an unquestioned reign, after all, who would dare oppose the man who commands a God?
- I tried to convince him to stop but he stubbornly replied, “I must capture all of them”, what is worse is that he’s making me focus all of my research on creating containers capable of capturing and holding these titans who might not even exist.
- Still, I soldier on, even if he is a fool, the man is still our leader. And maybe I may be able to create a capturing device capable of holding these “Nature spirits” that command the tribes of the south. I need a place to keep my research safe.
