  1. [10:38] Acantho exclaims, "Oh, Jensen!"
  2. [10:38] Acantho says, "Welcome. Your arrival was awaited."
  3. [10:38] Jensen Vaughn says, "Hello."
  4. [10:38] Acantho says, "Come, we don't have time to lose."
  5. [10:39] Jensen Vaughn says, "Where's your robot? I haven't seen him in a while- sure."
  6. [10:39] Acantho says, "There is a LOT of work to be done."
  7. [10:39] Acantho says, "Stay here."
  8.
  9. [10:47] With Jensen's arrival, both would enter the scientist's abode, his workshop - which since the last encounter had been greatly improved in several aspects, in such a way that the 'lab' was now more functional.
  10.
  11. Perfect for this.
  12.
  13. And having fetched the crate of resources to be used, they were now returning to the spot. Placing everything on his desk, the mayor's figure sorted his tools and turned to Jensen.
  14.
  15. As expected.
  16.
  17. "So, do you remember what would be done? What we planned last time." He did ask that not long ago, when Jensen came with Gnash to see the scientist's situation.
  18.
  19. Indeed.
  20.
  21. It was his way of starting such projects, he wanted the full participation of his clients in them - so that they could feel more important! And so, pay more.
  22.
  23. At the end of the day, what mattered to him was his payment for services rendered.
  24.
  25. "If not, start now by taking off your armor and I'll explain." Straightforward as ever, the man then waited.
  26. (Acantho)
  27. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  28.
  29. [10:54] Jensen takes off his cloak, and under shirt - his armor was below, instead of above due to the way his armor is fixed.
  30.
  31. An alloy of spikes, very traditional of Viridium; it has to make contact with the skin to be useful, piercing in and - to those that are non magi, the affects are poisonous, and can lead to death.
  32.
  33. To Jensen, however, he doesn't care too much - his life isn't his to live, that point has passed.
  34.
  35. Existing only for vengeance, makes it easier for him to put up with the Viridium Armor.
  36.
  37. "... Making it more powerful, allowing me to fight stronger - if I hurt myself too much, it doesn't matter. It might reduce my life span by several years, if not decades. You mentioned that, yes." Jensen stated, looking at the armor he'd took off - his body slightly bleeding from the overall intense usage of Viridium.
  38.
  39. Nothing his biomagic can't handle, however - the wounds are soon clotted with his own magic, to save himself and Acantho a clean up later on.
  40.
  41. "... There we are." He'd state. ".. you did mention something about upgrading my sword, well.. I got a new one. Not sure if you can make it any better, though." Jensen had a fully working, masterfully crafted Arcanium blade on his back.
  42.
  43. "... as for the armor. I wish for a few adjustments before we carry on. I want it to put less strain on my body for normal use, and when over-charged - the way I plan to use it - making my fight faster, land strikes better; basically entice my adrenaline to make everything numb.
  44.
  45. And afterwards, I'll deal with the damage." He'd state, looking at Acantho.
  46. (Jensen Vaughn)
  47. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  48.
  49. [10:55] {Item} You picked up Sanguis Intus Potentia. Dropped by Jensen Vaughn..
  50. [10:55] {Item} You drop Sanguis Intus Potentia.
  51. [10:56] {Item} You drop Graviton.
  52. [10:56] {Item} You drop Might Of The Ocean.
  53. [10:56] {Item} You picked up Might Of The Ocean. Dropped by Acantho..
  54. [10:56] {Item} You picked up Graviton. Dropped by Acantho..
  55. [11:09] The knight's words were heard, the armor he had commented on was observed and this one, had much of the work already done, of what was desired here - being made of Viridium is at the end of the day already affecting what he was looking for.
  56.
  57. However, they would go further..
  58.
  59. They would, make it better.
  60.
  61. "What I have in mind to make this work is to make it smart armor, in a way, which will help your performance in combat through physical wear and in turn, allowing for a greater sense of lightness.
  62.
  63. To improve it.
  64.
  65. This will force you to go beyond the standard, your limitations, while feeding on the elemental cores that we are going to allocate across it, while the isolation will allow you to withstand more attacks, in addition to taking more of the effect provided by this one.
  66.
  67. That is, from Viridium - almost ignoring these while in combat, on the adrenaline of the moment. Yet surely after it, there will be consequences." The scientist said as the armor was brought towards him by his animunculi.
  68.
  69. Time to start.
  70.
  71. Such equipment was placed upon the workbench and the modifications began to be made, because using his tools he removed some parts that were unnecessary for this - sawing and breaking these, before putting them in the forge's cauldron in order to melt the metal and reuse them in the making of the upgrades.
  72.
  73. Nothing will be going to waste.
  74.
  75. "As for the sword, not much in my current state - unless you want to make it conscious, loyal to only you.
  76.
  77. It's a possibility." He shrugged his shoulders as he got to work.
  78.
  79. One they would spend a lot of time focused on.
  80. (Acantho)
  81. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  82.
  83. [11:09] {Item} You drop Graviton.
  84. [11:11] {Item} You picked up Graviton. Dropped by Acantho..
  85. [11:27] Jensen listened to Acantho, there's much to be desired there - if hopefully the armor works as expected, Jensen was excited - not to be harmed, though, but to be able to get his revenge, perhaps at long last...
  86.
  87. He rubs his beard.
  88.
  89. "You're brilliant, Acantho. So it will be neuro-symbiotic, yes?" He'd inquire, he knew a thing or two about science himself - even though he'd drowned himself in alcohol every now and again, he still understood his biology, being a lightning and bio magi.
  90.
  91. It made it easier to manipulate the body to his own desire, and to inflict the most damage.
  92.
  93. "As for the sword, as you said - I do have some Eternite we could use to upgrade it later on, if you wish to do so." Jensen stated, the armor being crafted for him will certainly be an experiment, if anything.
  94.
  95. The sword, though, will be well-maintained.
  96.
  97. "... We'll upgrade it, and make it listen only to me - or we could just add fae slayer to it, so the runes work the same way..?" He'd state, his old sword was after all, rune-locked to his soul.
  98.
  99. Maybe it can be replicated somehow.
  100.
  101. "Up to you, though. I don't know how much of this is possible."
  102. (Jensen Vaughn)
  103. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  104.
  105. [11:48] "In a way, yes, it's not just connected to various muscles and other parts of your body, it will be connected to your spinal cord - it's directly in tune with you." The figure explained as the animunculi now threw the mythril and nyeshk into the cauldron.
  106.
  107. As expected.
  108.
  109. More coal was brought in and the magitech equipment did its work, increasing the fire in order to melt both metals - which would form what should envelop much of the armor. The base materials for this project.
  110.
  111. "We can use these, sure, but not right now - not anytime soon, there are several projects I have to complete before we work on the sword - including you armor right now.
  112.
  113. One at a time." Acantho was a very busy, in-demand person - so he had a to-do list before other things.
  114.
  115. But eventually, they would work on it.
  116.
  117. Just not now.
  118.
  119. Anyway the work continued and when the materials were melted, they were poured over the moulds. Which were cooled by water magic, before being caught by the scientist with his tools.
  120.
  121. "And now, the additions begin." He said as he started hammering and shaping the materials, giving it a new form.
  122.
  123. Then, placed them over specific parts of the armor, starting to create isolation around the parts of Viridium. Yet, he had to work properly on it as he was just preparing for the next step.
  124. (Acantho)
  125. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  126.
  127. [12:23] Jensen watched, in awe of Acantho's use of his instruments.
  128.
  129. Not much to be said, honestly - Jensen was watching cool the metal, molding it and crafting it into something more, something better.
  130.
  131. "... You know, I never really took to Artificing, perhaps I should've." Jensen stated, leaning against the wall - watching Acantho work.
  132.
  133. A cigarette went between his lips.
  134.
  135. "You've been doing this all your life. Tell me, what drove you to be this way? Why choose to create, instead of consume? Instead of destruction?" The latter is a personal question to Jensen's own knowledge, much to be learned - much to be done.
  136.
  137. He had to know, prior to committing to all of that's going on inside of his head.
  138.
  139. And it's never something good.
  140.
  141. Not at all.
  142. (Jensen Vaughn)
  143. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  144.
  145. [12:34] Work begins with the Mythril Nyeshk's plates, he molds them around the Viridium piece of armor - fusing both through welding and tapping. Adjustments and other methods, which bring it all together into one thing.
  146.
  147. As needed.
  148.
  149. It was a long, exhausting job, but at the end of this part - when everything was already in place and the armor was already taking shape, then he'd get his engraving tools.
  150.
  151. Time to continue.
  152.
  153. Which he used to leave spaces on both arms in the biceps area, frames for something, one in the center of the chest where the heart was and two in the lower areas near the stomach. Among these and various other body parts, lines were forged.
  154.
  155. Which connected everything.. Similar to wires, yet very much distinct.
  156.
  157. With such work done, then the figure would go to the inside of the armor and repeat that act, making the connections that went to the exact separate points. Which, soon, would be used to allocate the cores that shouldfeed the power of that equipment.
  158.
  159. For the hour, as needed.
  160.
  161. And the work continued.
  162.
  163. When completed, then the scientist took a breath - brought forth some orichalcum carried by his animunculi and prepared for the next step.
  164.
  165. Runecrafting.
  166.
  167. "Simple, for through creation - I can bring destruction and much more.
  168.
  169. Depending on my mood for the day." A joke was made to relax, yet.. It was true, that was not a lie.
  170. (Acantho)
  171. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  172.
  173. [12:40] Jensen listened to Acantho's words, well - it was true. Neither of them were the most sound people in existence, no reason to be - actually. There's much to do, much to learn and much to figure out about each other.
  174.
  175. Death is acceptance of not being able to progress, and through Acantho - Jensen sees that ; his sword is used as a crutch, leaning on it watching the scientist work.
  176.
  177. "... Very well. That's a good point..." As time goes on, however - Jensen couldn't help but doze off - there's not much sleeping that he's been doing, as of late - with Gnash's death, reopening of old wounds that would not - and could not - help him see past reality..
  178.
  179. "... Thank you, Acantho. I owe you one, and if I die before I repay you? Someone definitely will." All of this was preparation for his escapade from this life of stagnation, drinking and not being able to control himself.
  180.
  181. Aphros was not a home anymore, for if he stays there - bad things will surely happen. He knew he wasn't mentally suitable to exist there, for now, at least - the drinking and the overall trauma he'd sustained, well..
  182.
  183. Nothing to joke about.
  184.
  185. He slowly dozes off, standing there - with the sword under his arm; still tensed up, though.
  186.
  187. Being a soldier meant he could afford to sleep a little, without letting his guard down.
  188. (Jensen Vaughn)
  189. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  190.
  191. [13:03] {Item} You picked up Mythril x5. Dropped by Acantho.
  192. [13:03] {Item} You picked up Nyeshk x3. Dropped by Acantho.
  193. [13:03] {Item} You picked up Lightning Crystal x100. Dropped by Acantho.
  194. [13:03] {Item} You picked up Storms Solace. Dropped by Acantho..
  195. [13:03] {Item} You picked up Sanguis Intus Potentia. Dropped by Jensen Vaughn..
  196. [13:04] Acantho created things, for this was his weapon - while others fought, he was the one who supplied the weapons - he was the one who made the progress of this actually occur and come to an end.
  197.
  198. In a way, it was because of people like him that wars existed, that made it possible for these to develop.
  199.
  200. Indeed.
  201.
  202. Regardless of that, he worked. And through the lines which went from the arms, to the torso - and up to the back in the center around the spine of the armor, he would then begin to make runes. Which were to make the energy move through the armor, the mana from the cores.. And feed this one so that it did its job.
  203.
  204. As necessary.
  205.
  206. With the power inflow runes done, then he worked on the inner runes.. Which were for mana control as well as consciousness - but not comparable to his golems, just enough to recognize who its master was and then.. To slow down the pain and weakness of this, in addition to facilitating movement while using.
  207.
  208. It was something to make it better.
  209.
  210. This step was probably the most time consuming, as each rune was done individually. But when done - he would then nod. And now, he was off to the final stages.
  211.
  212. Which were then, first, to fix the internal viridium spikes - which would be activated by the armor's semi-consciousness when the wearer entered combat. And so, using his tools once more - the artificer began to work.
  213.
  214. Adjusting everyshing, so that the spikes would skewer the arms, spine and overall body.. Forcing it to go beyond normal, temporarily inhibiting its pain.
  215.
  216. It was something to strengthen the person, but at great cost.
  217.
  218. And with this stage completed, they were off to the last one - well, just him, for notably Jensen had slipped into a coma.
  219. (Acantho)
  220. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  221.
  222. [14:01] Arty gazes onto the armor being made.
  223. (Arty)
  224. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  225.
  226. [14:01] Arty asks, "When za fuck ya making mine huh?"
  227. [14:01] Arty says, "Za fucked even went to sleep."
  228. [14:11] With the cores separated, the scientist first took the crystals. These were molded into an appropriate frame and slowly turned into spherical cores.
  229.
  230. Which were then inserted into parts of the armor which had been made.
  231.
  232. Among the places were the arms, in the biceps, the stomach in the middle and at the back, in the part of the neck.. Such locations for these cores were all connected to each other through the lines that held the runic system and thus would feed the functionality of the magitech armor.
  233.
  234. Both in the exterior and interior.
  235.
  236. "Mm, that should be enough - but now, the final touch." He said as a brief glance was given in the direction of the sleeping Jensen, before the main core he had acquired was caught.
  237.
  238. This one was more potent than the standard one and so he used his animunculis to pick it up.. And then move to the chest of the armor, in the center where the heart is. Slowly the core was positioned and then fixed!
  239.
  240. Concluding this way this step.
  241.
  242. "Now activate." And with that, he made his mana flow towards the armor..
  243.
  244. Making the runic systems activate and the cores work.
  245.
  246. A remarkable glow was emanating from the equipment and so far everything seemed to be working, what would they need to do now.. It was testing, but that would be for another moment.
  247.
  248. For now, he would rest, as the project is concluded.
  249. (Acantho)
