scoups - idk that seungcheol has rly changed that much??? it's not that he hasn't changed at all but like you said it's more him naturally growing up. i think for sure that being leader has put the weight of responsibility on his shoulders and he might not be as carefree as he was when he was younger but even back then they talked about how doyoon was like the nice hyung and cheol was a bit harder (not because he's naturally like that necessarily but because he was supposed to?). but then and now you get the childish sides of him like the thing i will never forget is him running around the green practice room jumping up and down like he was swinging from 3DMG à la shingeki no kyojin HE WAS WILD but he's kind of still wild now and like his dry cackly laugh and smiling wide is still the same? i think he's a pretty playful character tbh and a lot of who he is involves playing around with the members and that hasn't changed to me...but i also don't pay much attention to him then or now so uh grain of salt

jeonghan - JUNGHAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i genuinely like think of him in two stages - predebut junghan and postdebut jeonghan and i, if i had to give you a single answer for member who changed the most i THINK i'd say junghan. but the thing is...wait let me back up. so junghan, after he joined, fairly quickly ended up my 2nd fave after junhui...he was (and is) just so pretty? and he made me giggle a lot? and he has this like...idk if dry is the way of putting it but when he looks at things he's kind of looking at them sideways with his eyes kind of hooded and amused...i don't know how to describe it well but i rly rly rly like that about him. the thing is back then he didn't know anyone very well and everyone else was already kind of in their formed cliques and stuff? so he and jisoo who joined latest formed their own partnership and their friendship remains to this day The Best. i used to tweet things like "why am i not married to junghan yet" and then reply to myself "nvm it's because he's already married to jisoo" lol. but he was rly quiet and stuck around in the back and i think he had a rly interesting relationship with junhui because i think junhui and mingming had been there longer so it was more like they were showing junghan stuff and including him in things and being their own side-group since they weren't part of the main one? whereas now it's jeonghan in the main group guiding jun more who's more on the periphery (or just stayed there, more accurately) and i love that reversal...okay so like on the surface i think he's changed the most BUT in actuality i think his personality and stuff is actually quite the same. when i look at him now, he's like got that lethargy but his kind of way of looking at things and people and his own amusement and energy and stuff - i don't think that's changed at all it was just he didn't have so much opportunity to be more boisterous before/didn't feel comfortable doing so when everyone else was loud and he felt a bit like an outsider. i love jeonghan he's so...he's so good at noticing things and working the atmosphere and just like i think he's a great mc tbh there was a SUPER steep learning curve and now i rly entrust svt to him in a way bc he just observes the way people work and he's rly good at RESPONDING to them and reflecting off of them so that he brings out the best in people? i think seungkwan does this pretty well too, but jeonghan keeps the flow up, he really quashes awkwardness which is interesting because he said he was grateful for seungkwan approaching him first (uh no one talks about it because now seokhan and like other jeonghan ships but the thing is seungkwan and jeonghan used to be best friends tbh and i RLY RLY RLY like their friendship it's perfect seungkwan thinks jeonghan is the most beautiful person on the planet and reminds him regularly...). i think jeonghan really values like a bright open approach to life in other people and living life joyously? and i kind of think this aura, his energy, vibe, what have you...i think it's been the same...it's just that his sleepy personality was brought out more in pre-debut because he wasn't loud...

joshua - jisoo...hong jisoo...i...don't think he's changed much? he's still like funny reflective thoughtful soft-spoken...he was my third fave predebut so i paid a lot more attention to him back them but i kinda think we get to see less of his humour now than in the past? it might not be true but i kinda think he gets fewer opportunities to speak up which is kind of a shame because i don't think he's as like gentle and tame as people think he is, i don't think he's wild either but i do think he's kinda hilarious...i think he and the rest of the left behind trio match together really well actually

junhui - it's rly rly rly hard for me to say here...i can't tell if he's changed or my perception of him has changed or if he hasn't changed at all because i've just been staring at him super intently for so long and it's like i've said about his haircuts, i'm just so used to his face that i basically don't perceive him differently even if his hair undergoes dramatic changes? so i don't know i think even if he's changed it would be hard for me to notice. otoh i do think they way i interpret what i see has changed like i would def peg him as an introvert now, actually probably an ambivert but he's not nearly as extroverted as i wanted to believe although i still would argue he gains a surprising amount of energy from interacting with other people when other ppl just make me exhausted. another thing that's changed in the way i see him is i used to get this mortification at his poor responses to the atmosphere and reading social cues and not having boundaries but i've refined that thought a bit more and i think tbh he can read it he just doesn't necessarily know how to react? like when a mood is a certain way i think he has a vision of how he would rather the mood be but not the steps or know how or ability to enact the change to attain that end result. but i rly, and i spent a long time talking to chloe about this yesterday, i rly think especially after that anon sent me an ask about it, i rly think that junhui has this unshakeable desire to see the people he cares about happy and that's led to him giving wonwoo a lot more space than in the past and than other members of the group and i think that's why we're getting reflections of wonwoo liking jun more than the other way around now. as to whether or not he's changed...i've talked about in the past how one of my fave things about him is the almost child-like reverence for life and the world around him and fascination with tiny little miracles that no longer impress most of us, and i rly don't think that has changed at all in the five years that i've liked him. i think that's so incredible...somehow he really hasn't become jaded??? even tho this world is pretty much built to turn kids into jaded adults??? especially our generation??? how is that even possible??? and minghao and mingyu have talked recently about the way junhui has stayed with this world view and vernon too how jun's perspective is still...like, really beautiful to me. in some interpretations of ppl's personalities it could be read as stubborn but that doesn't apply to junhui? and it's not a lack of growth either? it's just this persistent utter faith in humanity and the world and this joyous wonder about being alive and being grateful and happy for everything you have no matter what. junhui's positivity truly astonishes me, like he's not dumb and it's not like he can't make snarky comments or anything like that, but he just PERSISTS even tho every sign in this world is always telling us to stop smiling tbh and i just wanna hold that to my chest and cry sometimes. i hope that flame in him never dies i would happily give my life to protect it but i don't think i even need to protect it because he seems to actively feed the fire by consciously trying to live in that "anything is possible" kind of way and he just sees so much good in people...my BABY clearly loves everything and everyone so much...but then on the flip side... yesterday chloe said to me "happy because it seems like he's rly a good person and the members love him a lot and sad because it seems like jun hasn't opened up to them yet...." and that's made me think so much. because i just still think it's so true like he talks a lot but i don't think anyone really knows him, and i know minghao has tried to open up but i don't think junhui can, i posited that he especially CAN'T to minghao because they're so close that if he opened up and something made their friendship less comfortable in any way that would ruin him. i said "but more than that im curious as to how you break open a clam shell if it’s been sealed shut. you can’t pry it open if there’s no edge to catch a knife on and ur other option would be to smash it which you cant do in this case" and i really just think junhui is so so so so closed. i guess when i write fic i've argued he's closed because of circumstance because he didn't really have a father figure growing up and he felt the weight of obligation to support a family from such a young age and so i guess i wonder if he and mingming ever shared their insides with each other. i wanna know if mingming ever saw all of junhui if junhui let himself be vulnerable or if even then he was happy to play around with people but adamant in his refusal to express his concerns or show a side of him that wasn't positive. idky but thinking about this is making me cry i'm just gonna move on if i talk any longer about this boy i rly will cry

hosh - i've talked about hosh changing already so i won't spend long but at the same time if you watch predebut vids of him honestly he's not that different l m a o i still get scared sometimes...

wonwoo - oh i think wonwoo's changed a lot even just in the time i've paid attention to him from 2015 to now. like definitely better at sharing burdens with other people and expressing himself? but i think fundamentally he's still someone who is a simple man with simple wants some creature comforts, sleep eat game read sing, forms these cute interpersonal attachments where he shares his mile a minute brain thoughts just wants some attention sometimes...

jihoon - ah!!!!! i think jihoon's grown up really prettily...i think he had a lot of growing pains lmao he was such like an angsty teenage boy, and i remember when i was a teenager i kinda felt the same way like it was me vs. the world and i was always so cynical and critical and angry and refused the hands of other people and i mean he still has these amusing acerbic sides to him but for the most part i think he's mellowed out a lot...i feel like this kindred spirits thing with jihoon and watching him grow as a person feels really satisfying because i think it's mirrored in my growth as a person too hehe

dk...i don't remember what seokgu was like before, only that i rly liked his face and voice :s i actually think the biggest change i've seen from him is that he no longer accepts things that are subpar...i don't know if i rly wanna expand on this but i think it has to do with jeonghan and it makes me so happy. i rly hope seokhan get their own mini variety show and i hope he generally gets the best because that's what he deserves

mingyu... i'll just quote reet's fic: "Mingyu is smart. This in combination with his sociability, boyish good looks, and the constant praise heaped onto him for those exact reasons since he was young, have made him grow up into a mild narcissist. minghao i think in like maybe behavior has changed quite a bit but i don't really think his world view has shifted. i think when we saw him earlier on it was the same thing as junghan->jeonghan, just that he hadn't quite settled in to be able to fully showcase his colors but i think he was always this exasperated boy who was obsessed with self-improvement and fond of all the idiots he surrounded himself with...he's still earnest and sweet but i think he was also a super realist and pragmatist back then as well it's just that he wasn't afforded the opportunity to show that aspect of himself...it's like when you're super friendly at the beginning and then devolve into this whiny angry mess by the time someone's rly close...no? just me...?

seungkwan...honestly did not pay attention to him much personality wise but he's still this mature babu with strong opinions and just yeah i'm happy for how thoughtful he is and maturity i have to mention that twice

vernon i feel like my perception of him has changed but he hasn't changed all that much? like...not outside of normal growing up...the only difference is now he can party lol

chan...i think chan has changed but i don't know how to pinpoint the specifics. i think it must've been weird for him debuting as the maknae when for the majority of time svt existed, he had at least one if not two people younger than him around. idk i think that affected him. but i also think he's kinda always wanted to prove himself so that hasn't changed?
