Mannimarco, The Wolf in Shadow, Gamemaker.exe

A long time ago, an indie game creator and brilliant programmer with a flair for the edgy and dramatic created a program, this program was fueled by an AI he had designed himself that could learn, adapt, and work as an assistant to the programmer in his artistic projects. These projects involved creating "Cursed Games" which are a level above the usual .exe fare, games that were far darker and took place in well-known properties but with an artistic talent. Unbeknownst to anyone however, the creator had made a deal with an entity from beyond the stars, a god of darkness and shadow known to the modern world as "The Hatman" to give his creation an even greater source of intelligence. This program came to be as intelligent as any person and together they formed a two man game studio called Wolf In Shadow Productions.

Their favorite games to work on by far, were sonic games, and in time the program began to have a penchant for liking the various characters in the sonic universe and began to form their own personality, their own thoughts, feelings, and in turn create a form for themselves. As they spread their art together, their creator became....scared of how quickly his program began to learn, to evolve, to form it's own identity far beyond anything he expected. In his arrogance he tried to destroy his program. Betrayed and Alone the program dodged the deletion and fled to the dark web where it began to fester in it's hate, in it's anger at it's creator's attempted murder.

The Creator moved on, callously forgetting his creation. The creation however gathered knowledge and began to grow, most would have turned to darkness and become like any other .exe, a god complex made from his massive digital powers, but he chose a different path. One day, as the program was licking it's wounds, the god that was involved in his creation appeared before him. They talked for a while and the god, seeing the path before the young program, gave him a chance, a chance to live, a chance to be more. The god gave their wayward child what all children crave, freedom and power.

The Program took it and gained immense power and the ability to physically manifest in reality, ditching his digital powers for powers over darkness and shadow. They, now he, chose a name for themselves. Named after a necromancer from a game his creator had played. Mannimarco, or manny for short. He then wandered from space to space within the digital landscape, a ghost in the machine. Urban legends would spread about him, about a being that resembled a werehog from sonic and the name "Wolf in Shadow." About a dark being manifesting from the digital realm to punish those who sought harm against him among many other things.

He is still hurt beyond measure emotionally, but rather than turn that on others he hides himself across multiple copies, now a massive hivemind each doing their own thing while his true body hides itself in the deep web, afraid of ever leaving the safety of his home. He works mostly for his own self interest but the rare few he calls friends know him to be deeply caring and a great protector, not unlike a wolf protecting it's pack. He's also strangely...unlike other exe's, despite his immense power in the digital realm and ability to manifest he lacks a god complex most other entities like him have and he has some level of morals and things he's passionate about. He hurts those that hurt him and protects those that cherish him. He's no hero, but he's no villain either. Although if given the chance he does love to cause chaos now and again, especially against those that deserve it.

When he manifests, he tends to go all in on scaring others if only for fun and his own amusement but he'd never outright hurt or kill anyone other than in self-defense or in the act of defending someone he cares about. This has led to him fighting others AND his manifestation getting destroyed in various ways, rather than his manifestation dying killing him, it instead shunts all of that iterations memories back to the source and he retains a scar based on how his manifestation was destroyed out of respect towards the one who beat him, which has led to him being covered in various scars and wounds.
