  49. Draw anywhere on your 3D Model. With automatic working plane detection, you can draw directly on any surface in your model. Just select your tool, move the mouse over any surface on the model and draw!

Push/Pull Modelling is a great time saver.Building on the functionality introduced in Vectorworks 2011, Push/Pull capabilities have been built into many of the 2D drawing tools It's a huge time save as you can instantly push or pull 2D shapes into 3D models without heading for the 3D Modeling tool set. The boundary between 2D and 3D is further blurred! With integrated 3D in the 2D tools, the 3D modelling toolset has been simplified. The reshape tools have also been combined into one powerful reshape tool for both 2D and 3D.

  53. Create 3D Dimensions Now that 3D planes are automatically detected by your cursor, you can place dimensions on any 3D object in any plane. Fantastic for construction details!

  55. With one drag, you can reshape NURBS curves with great precision and control by moving individual or multiple vertices.

  57. The speed of navigation between sheets and from sheet layers to design layers for larger files has beeb significantly improved. There have also been improvements to WYSIWYG zooming, with less pixelation in non-complex files.

  61. With X Ray mode there's no more hunting for objects behind others. Just press the ‘B’ key with the selection tool and you can easily see and select objects that are hidden behind filled objects.

  63. Where there are several objects meeting at the same point, use Select Coincident objects to determine which one should be selected.

  65. The Offset tool now creates a closed object with a single click. Polylines incorporate the new Radius Vertex mode, enabling even more accurate editing of curves.

  67. Frequently used settings can now be changed directiy on the tool bar without having to open a preferences dialog.

  69. Changes to the mapping of hatches and tile fills can now be saved directly as a new resource. Tile fills ca now automatically scale to fit the thickness of a wall component and follow the curve of a round wall component.

  90. A picture paints a thousand words! Since 2011, Renderworks has been based on the powerful CINEMA 4D rendering engine. New developments this year include Renderworks Styles. No more trying to remember all your most successful rendering settings. Save them all as a Renderworks style and simply drag the style onto your drawing or apply it to a viewport.

  92. Artistic Renderworks styles include far more controls, including line weight and colour. Once you're happy, you can save your settings in a Renderworks Style.

  95. DWG Import and Exports include better support for image fills, transparencies, and gradient types—plus a new ability to save your favourite settings for DXF/DWG export. You can pick and choose the objects you want to export to DXF/DWG—even hatches. You can interface seamlessly with AutoCAD 2012 files and even import clipped AutoCAD blocks as cropped Design layer viewports or as symbols without cropping. You can also save your defined mappings of DXF/ DWG colors to Vectorworks line weights.
