  1. Life Is Strange episode 5 was for the most part, a solid ending to the game. I will get the bad things out of the way right now so that I can talk about the things I liked.
  2. I have two main issues with this chapter, the first one is that the "photo time travel" rules feel really inconsistent, there doesn't seem to be a clear logic behind them. I'm unable to understand when Jefferson burned the pictures after Max tells David about his crimes on the phone. I also don't see any logic behind "I burned the pictures, therefore you can't time travel." Feels like a really lazy excuse to get Max back on the chair.
  3. The other problem I have, is that just because Warren told us that our actions were the cause of the tornado, Max inmediately believes it and rolls with it. It turns out that it is actually true, but it would have been nice for the developers to find a way to explain it without feeling forced. The final decision of the game heavily relies on this, making this way of explaining it seem even more rushed.
  4. There is minor stuff too, I think the dream sequence was rather bland. It feels that it is just there to have trippy moments, and while those moments are cool, I feel that they could have been executed in a better way. The dream served as character development for Max, so I would definetly not take it out of the game.
  5. Other minor stuff includes models t posing and Jefferson's voice actor not living up to his role as the bad guy.
  6.
  7. Outside of that, the chapter was pretty good. Lots of callbacks to previous situations (both good and bad from a gameplay perspective). The final decision is an emotional one and the other 2 important decisions are great too.
  8. I really liked how both Max and Chloe admit that they are flawed characters. Max confesses to herself that she uses her powers to tell people what they want to hear and Chloe admits that she is a shitkid.
  9. I think that the thing I actually enjoyed the most in this chapter are the photoes, some of them are really well hidden and one requires you to do what was probably the worst part of LiS, but in a much better and polished way.
  10. I still haven't gotten the "save Chloe" ending. But I'm glad I got LiS this year. While flawed, LiS has proven to me that TT games need to get-out of the formula. I enjoyed this game way more than I did with Walking Dead S1 and S2. Even though the lows are definetly lower, this fresh experience led to a satisfying conclusion.
  11. Finally, I have to say that I'm happy that the devs chose to not explain the time travel powers, over having a terrible explanation.
